What a great place!! Heading back to MN from FL and hit a deep hole south of Iowa City and made it to Cedar Rapids for the night. Got to Westside before opening an they were able to get me in almost immediately. Got the front end align and the checked everything out. Even checked the balance and rotated the tires for me. I was out of there and on my way back to MN in 45 min! Can never say enough good about this place!

Went in there to have my cv shaft and joints looked at as I was getting a lot of noise. They told me everything looked fine and it was probably my bushings/ sway bar link.Well the sway bar links are new and bushings fine.Turns out as I thought the cv joints are shot!

I setup an appointment for 1pm on a Tuesday for a specific job to be done. Repalce my front end brake pads for new ones on my 2012 explorer. I waited in the lobby for it to be done. Exactly 55 minutes later a technician came to me with an outstanding quote on a complete rear-end brake, calipers, and rotator replacement. This wasnt setup for a brake inspection and not to mention my vehicle didnt even see the service bay for 55 minutes. My appointment was 1pm not 2pm. So my 129.99 coupon special for front end brake pad change ended up not getting done , but i was charged a brake inspection i didnt schedule, and a 1200.00 + quote for full rear-end brake replacement and front pads. I hate clowns that cant do there job right and not listen to the customer request. Never ever will go to this location for anything.

Dont take you deisel truck for oil and fuel filter changes unless you want to spend $400 plus! Just lost all my vehicle business.

Got my rims and tires here. The guy was super helpful and got me exactly what I was looking for. Still go back for oil changes.

Great customer service, decent waiting area, quickly found the screw in my tire and patched it, and even showed me the screw when I checked out so I could see why the tire was losing air. Affordable. Highly recommend!

This is my continued review for WestSide. I couldn’t post from the same account...The tire&front end work for my Dodge Journey. The car that was in 5 different time and still not fixed..They quoted us for 147.99 for one tire and free installation and for the front end work. It would be a total of $767.61!! I made phone calls that day and got estimates on tires and the front end work. A new Kelly tire from 5 seasons was 115$ installed and discount tire was 120$ installed. My husband called back and got Jeremy on the phone, he told my husband there was nothing they could do and that they never ruined the tire.When we went to 5 seasons to buy a new tire and have the old one taken off, the mechanic showed us that the tire was only patched 1 time! We were told at WestSide it had been patched 2 times.I normally don’t do reviews but being we had to go back 5 different times and not one time did they try to make things right, I just want to get the word out. There was also a young girl with her baby in there the day I brought my car in for the 5th time. We got to talking and she told me she was on the 3rd day of bringing her car in. I think better communication with guests would help, along with having seasoned mechanics looking at the cars coming in there.

These guys are awesome! Getting ready to leave for work in the morning to find a flat tire is seriously the worst... They got me in super last minute, fixed my tire, AND squeezed in an alignment. I called 3 other places this morning and the earliest anyone else could even look at my tire was two days out. They were quick, knowledgeable and very professional. Thank you!!

We brought our Dodge Journey in for a problem we were having on the tire&to have alignment done, along w/ the front end looked at.Customer service between Jeremy&Dan was great the first day.Mechanic took car for a ride,we mentioned there was a loud noise coming from the driver side wheel hub.There was also a issue with the tire losing 3-5lbs every week.Went to pick up car,Dan told us there was corrosion on the wheel¬hing wrong with front end.We were like great thanks,we paid the 70$ some dollars for balancing&alignment.Next day I left to bring kids to school&front drivers side tire was practically flat,had 9lbs of air. West side put 37 in the day before,talked to Jeremy,he was very nice&said to come in,when I got there i told him it was still making a loud noise&tire losing air, I was there for almost 50 min&when car was done,Jeremy told me they missed some corrosion but it’s good now.This was the 2nd day in a row it was brought in.Came home,went out to an appt the next day&the tire was flat again,only 14lbs,irritating but I know things happen, called WestSide,got Dan this time,explained,came in again, waited for almost an hour this time,this time they told me the tire had a small hole on the inside but they repaired it.The next day my husband went to leave&tire was flat again, only had 12lbs.Went back to WestSide&talked to Jeremy, my hubby watched Jeremy go back with the mechanics&the mechanics were yelling “there’s no f$cking leak Jeremy, we’ve all worked on it, they went back&fourth arguing, yelling&swearing at eachother for several minutes.This time Jeremy said they kept dunking the tire several times&they missed some corrosion&patched the tire in a different spot.Ok, fine, hubby came home.That night to be safe we jacked up the front side of car, to keep pressure off the front tire in case it happened again, came out to check the next day and it lost air,it was at 21 pounds.Called WestSide for the 3rd time&they were willing to help,when I talk to Jeremy this time I explained to them if there’s something wrong with the tire I am more than willing to buy a new one.I told Jeremy I know the mechanics are upset&he said not to worry.This time the car took 45 minutes in the shop. That night it rained&the next day it was still raining,we went to check the tire&the front side of the tire was bubbling air! So my hubby found the hole&marked it, called WestSide they said thank u for finding it, bring it in.We did&it kept losing air after that appt too! We brought my car in for a total of 5x&when we marked the tire the last time, Jeremy came out&told us, there is nothing they can do, there was a pin size hole on the outside. My car was there 5 different times¬ one time did they say there was a pin sized hole on the outside,we were pretty upset just wanted them to make it right, being my car was there 5 different times and they couldn’t fix the leak, I know one of the mechanics messed the tire up being it was there 5 times for more then 45 minutes each time. And all 4 tires are less then 8months old.On the 5th day I brought it there, I also told Jeremy when I got my oil changed at Mienke, they told me my wheel bearing was shot on the drivers side front &my control arm needed to be tightened. Great! The front desk guy said “well I don’t know why they couldn’t have seen or heard it, it’s very visible&any mechanic could tell.”I was hesitant to believe Mienke but I’ve been getting my oil changed there for 8yrs&they do my brakes. When I brought car back to WestSide the 5th time I told them I wanted the front end checked again.When Jeremy came out to tell us he couldn’t do anything about the tire, and that the bearing was indeed bad&control arm.We were super upset&just wanted them to make it right. Having my car there 5 times, I know a mechanic did more harm to the tire&they also misdiagnosed my front end at the initial appt.They said the only thing they could do was take the installation fee off for tire.What a joke!We had to bring the car in 5x! West side tire has been my go to tire shop for decades. This stopped today. In the midst of a pandemic no one was wearing a mask. No precautions at all. No barriers, no social distancing, nothing. They simply do not care about their customers. One of the managers, Jeremey, was speaking loudly about Covid to a waiting customer. His statements reinforced they have no regard for their customers health and safety. They are also insensitive to those that have been directly affected by this pandemic.I will never again step foot in this business. If you value you and your family’s health I recommend the same.

So They Did A Good Job On My Car But.... I Just Had To Walk 5 Miles To work & back Because I was Told My Keys Would Be In My Car @ 5:30 they close at 6 let it be known I dropped my car off at 10am that morning just needed 2 tires n alignment done so it took 7 1/2 for that? Well I showed up at 6:10 and they where closed and my keys where not In my car I was very unhappy because I would have tried to make it before 6 when they closed if my keys weren’t going to be In my car :( Very Disappointing

They made up a whole list of parts I needed to replace on my car that didn’t need to be fixed. I get free oil changes through my dealership but they scratched off my car quest oil change sticker, not sure what the point of that was? They thought I wasn’t smart enough to have 2 other mechanics to look at my car. I would give them no stars if that was an option, than again, if you like shady, dishonest, and swindling mechanics than this is the place you should get your tires done

I have been going to westside tire for over 3 years always excellent service. Today I had a flat tire and put on my spare tire then drove to the shop to get the flat tire repaired. after they repaired the tire and I drove back to work I opened the back to put the spare tire away. They had put the spare tire back in the holding well even though they had to take out my golf push cart and all the other items I had in the back of the vehicle. This may not be a big item to many people but to me this is great customer service. They went extra steps to put my spare away and I appreciate the service. Thanks for always providing great customer service.

Ive been coming here since I moved to CR three years ago. I have never had a bad experience (or witnessed one) while awaiting work on my car. They also have a good reward program with oil changes. Im glad I have a consistent, friendly place to get maintenance done.

I have lived out of state for several years, but usually drive when I come back (I come back 6-8 times of a year to see family) and I always take my car to Westside Tire! My Dad went there for years and found them very honest and trust worthy! I do too!!

I trust West Side tire completely. They were almost 80.00 dollars cheaper than other repair shops I checked with. They have worked on my car for nearly 4 years now, I have never been anything but happy with their service and work!!! They are courteous and explain the work they will be doing clearly.

Dan and the rest of the staff were all friendly and had my lift kit and new tires on my truck before the time frame given. We have always been impressed with the comfortable atmosphere and the way we have been treated over the years!

Ive been going to Westside for about 6 years now, and everytime I do I am always greeted politely by everyone who works there. Ive always been charged decently and the work that has been done on my vehicles has been done right and they have never tried to over charge for me get me to fix things that shouldnt be. Dan has always given me cheap quotes and helped me as great as he could with anything on my car! I will continue to go there and couldnt asked to be treated better.

Prices are what you expect for work, but they stand by it and havent had issues with anything they have fixed. The guys here were great! No pressure to do anything more than needed done. I had a battery issue and they didnt try to sell me on an alternator replacement or anything like that. I would tell everyone I know to go there for sure!

I drive 30 miles to get tires here over using the 2 places within a mile of my house. Theyve never done me wrong. Staff is great and they know what theyre talking about. Been using them for 7 or 8 years and will continue to.

I wished I could give them 5 stars. Went there for an alignment because they were $30 cheaper than another big chain store. I waited an hour and 10 minutes for them to come out and tell me they couldnt do the alignment because the tie rod ends were frozen on and they would unfreeze them for me for an additional $105 but they would have to do it another day. On inspection of said tie rod ends it was apparent that no real effort has been put into getting the tie rods to move (use of a nut loosing solvent, ect). I would of never written this review until I decided to go to said big chain tire store just to see if they could get the job done...and they did. Easily. They had no problems with it at all, citing you just have to have the right tools. Lesson to be learned here is sometimes its not worth the headache to save a little money. I wonder to myself if the problem was less the tie rod being frozen on or that is was 5 oclock on a Friday and they werent willing to put the effort into it. That being said, if thats the case I can partly understand. The only reason I didnt give them one star was because the management were nice.

Had an emergency brake issue on my Jeep at noon on a Saturday. Go in shortly after...they close at 3. They got me right in, helped me minimize the financial damage (it was a doozy), and got my done before they closed. Comfortable lobby. Very friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend this place all day.

Promotes by mailing coupons, then , without warning, charges for inspections. Ironically, Jiffy Albert currently has a free brake inspection which resulted in me getting it done there at a similar cost of $800.Westside Tires’s business model of needing to be compensated for their time to evaluate a problem backfired to the tune of $800 and a lost , long term customer (s) . ( a family of three)

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. They are friendly, trustworthy and efficient. I called them on a Thursday morning because my car had started making a bad noise and I had a cross-country road trip coming up in less than a week. They said bring it in today and within a half hour of dropping it off, theyd identified the problem and had it fixed within a matter of a few hours. Ive taken my car there for oil changes for a couple years and not once have they tried to get me to fix more than I asked or inquired about. (Especially being a woman, that is essential in a mechanic!) HUGE thank you to the entire staff. Well done.

We were road tripping through Iowa and our van’s alternator went out. Westside got the van right in while my family (wife and 5 kids) hung out in their roomy lobby. We were back on the road in under 2 hours. Thanks for saving our vacation!

Ive had flats repaired there and purchased tires. The staff is efficient and they get to the repairs quickly. Seems like theres little turnover in staff.

Here is my experience.Our car had been making noises and safety was a major concern for me. We first took it to another shop I often use, who could not handle all the issues. I then went to Westside Tire after they were recommended to me by a few friends and my wife. I called and recieved great customer service as my wife informed me she had previously. During this time I discussed the known issues and they were able to get me in almost immediately to review the issues. Shortly after I dropped the car off, they called and confirmed the issues and that they would have to wait for the part, which matches up with what I had experienced with one of my other cars at when buying the parts myself.They quoted me a fair price and managed to charge me the quoted price which I have often experienced differently at some shops. It is understandable with projects that take more or less time, billable hours change. Well luckily for me, they take pride in their work. Along with the issues that we had discussed and had been quoted for, they also fixed another issue. Which blew my mind that after everything else they had done perfectly, they went ahead and raised the bar. They met the quote, fixed the original issues, then fixed a bonus issue. I couldnt be happier at this point.After driving our SUV home, all issues are in fact resolved. Im am very impressed with the entire experience. I will be using them again should I need to. I would strongly recommend considering West Side Tire.

One of the most disrespectful places i have ever been being a female. They talk down to you like you know nothing, interrupt you and not let you finish explaining anything. Also will find anyway not to have to replace something tjey did wrong! Will never do business there again!

West Side Tire gets one star because they do have great customer service and they get you in and out of the shop quickly. If that is all you need out of your automotive technician, then this shop is for you. If you require more, like the job getting done right, stay far away.I took my GMC 3500 box truck to them for a leaking exhaust manifold. They changed both sides and called me after a couple days to tell me the job was done and the charge was $1,300. They also replaced the spark plugs and wires. I took it back after a few days complaining that I could still hear an exhaust leak. It was then that they told me my cylinder head was warped. Two days after I left, my engine shot a spark out of the cylinder head. Then a week or so after that, another one shot out. Luckily I had a neighbor that is ASE certified, so we ordered a new cylinder head and tore the truck apart. Looking at the replaced exhaust manifold, it was missing a bolt! Then, after taking off the brand new manifold, they had cracked the bolt hole by torqueing it too much! Another $1,500 later, the exhaust on the driver’s side was fixed, so after putting everything back together and firing up the engine, we quickly discovered the brand new passenger exhaust manifold also had a small leak!To recap, on the driver’s side, they broke off the old exhaust manifold bolt into the cylinder head, and just left the bolt missing. Then, I believe they stripped the holes on the spark plugs by not gently removing the old plugs. This ruined the cylinder head that they said was warped, but I don’t think it ever was, I think that is what they told me instead of admitting their mistakes. On the passenger side, they replaced the old manifold only to incorrectly install the new one, so it still leaks.When I went to talk to them about it, they took no responsibility and kept telling me they had been honest the entire time. How is that possible, when the only thing they told me when I initially picked up the truck was that I was good to go?If you need an oil change or new tires, maybe this place would work, but if you need anything more complicated than that, I strongly suggest finding another place of business. Look in the shop when you are there, it’s a bunch of kids doing all the work, while the experienced guys are at the front counter and don’t do any work.

Bought a set of tires about a month ago from there. Have a leak in one tire and called talked to rob. Told him i have the road hazard but he tried telling me a nail is not covered and that the road hazard only covers if the tire is beyond repair. The repair would be in the twenty dollar range. This is the first tire shop i have ever been to that does not offer free repair. I had asked when they could get it in and told him i have to be AT work at 4pm. I also live out of town. He didnt understand why 2:30 would not work for me. Said I will be getting ready for work! Wont be back to that store!

My husband and I were greeted as soon as we walked in. This was my first time there and they gave me a discount. They also answered all of my questions. I was taking my car to Pat McGrath Chevyland because my oil changes were free but when they ran out, they wanted to charge me almost 60.00 and Goodyear tire only charged me about 30.00 and much more friendly. I wouldnt go anywhere else and havent. Been using this shop for half my life and I trust everybody there. Some of the negative reviews sound so out of character for this business, it sounds more like someone is having a really bad day or is trying to make other businesses look bad (one local guide reviewed 6 shops in less than 24 hours and claims to have taken their vehicle to all those places for different repairs).
