I signed up for a 6 month membership so therefor was under the impression that it would stop charging me after 6 months. Never when I signed the contract did they notify me that it would automatically keep charging me monthly after the 6 months. It’s very frustrating that they never verbally communicated this to me and were not understanding when I called. It would have been nice to at least have an email notification that the 6 months were up.

Great clean place with friendly staff and great equipment

State-of-the-art equipment, friendly and helpful staff, personal training, and instructor led classes make this the gym for true fitness enthusiasts. Locker rooms with locked storage makes it safe and easy to store personal belongings. A little bit compared to Planet Fitness or other gyms in the area, but the quality is worth the price.

Love this gym! Not only do they have great staff, child care service, showers and classes, they have 4 locations so I can use any of them with my gym key card! There is 3 locations with 24 hour access that are always available for crazy schedules! They are always clean, great variety of machines and options of personal training if I need a little guide!

I really dont even know where to begin but here goes I was terrified to join a gym because I do not want to be judged or body shamed but my very first day walking into fit I felt so at home and welcome right away the lady at the front desk which I wish I knew her name so I could add it came up to me she must have knew it was my first time she walked up to us got my daughter enrolled in daycare and comfortable gave me an awesome tour and let me know that if I need anything at all or any advice that they can help. The membership rates are very affordable, with FREE child cate and classes!!! Being a full time student, employee and mother is a lot to juggle and the hours work for me and my child, i really couldnt ask for a better gym and am so thankful i took on the journey to recovering myself with them!!!

I reviewed the gym previously before the renovations. The new bathrooms and showers are amazing. They are clean, attractive and very high end looking. The lockers have built in combination locks. The rest of the gym has had a new paint job and some renovations going on now have increased the sizes of the classrooms, especially the cycling room.The place definitely looks more upscale, but some small touches are needed such as getting rid of the beat up and uncomfortable dorm sofas and wobbly IKEA chairs and shelving.The popular Next Level program is undergoing some changes and staff turnover. The program was getting a bit tired with lack of variety in workouts and lack of focus on form and injury prevention. Personally, I am taking a break from the program to see if it improves and of they hire staff with formal physical raining education.

I love this gym! Equipment is good, theyre expanding, classes are great, and I never feel judged or intimidated. I always feel welcomed for being there... and I get results from the classes!

Great gym. They have five power racks, a deadlift bar, and safety bars for squatting. Im a former Powerlifter and current Strongman competitor and Ive never had a bad workout there. Ask for Heidi, the Manager. Shes awesome.

My daughter and I enjoy it. We like the daycare because baby can be watched while I stay fit.

Have trained here for a couple of weeks, great atmosphere, the hammer strength is just what I needed so far things are very positive and it helps that I have a great personal trainer,

NOTE: In late September and early October, the gym is getting a makeover. The child care area is expanding as is the Next Level area.Facebook posts suggest that most areas of the gym are getting rehabbed as well.This place doesnt have the gleam and slickness of new gyms in the area, this place does have something for everyone. From the dedicated meatheads to the beginning exerciser, you will see all types of people here. The gym does have personal trainers on staff to get you started on your fitness journey. The machines are fairly new, clean and in good condition. The heavier equipment is also in good shape but there could be more of that type of equipment. Dumbbells are also newer and clean, but seem to be in short supply at times.While the interior of the gym looks quite worn and could use a good paint job, the place is impeccably clean. The staff seem to be wiping, and vacuuming consistently. I would suggest they pay attention to the mens locker room and bathroom. This could use some repairs such as affixing the toilet seats to the actual toilet (I keep sliding off) and repairing drywall that has been waterlogged. They also need to lose the nasty carpeting. This may account for the lingering junior high school gym odor. The air conditioning and heating is also inconsistent in heating and cooling.The free classes here seem to be well attended and popular. The gym also houses Fighterbody Fitness and Next Level Extreme Fitness. Joining these two programs will get you gym privileges. (See separate reviews for these programs.)There are three locations across the area. The Waterloo location, the newest and the best smelling, is a 24 hour gym.Cedar Falls has free child care.
