Highly recommend! Pete is honest, knowledgeable, and fair with price. I took my 2012 A4 to him for an oil change and to have him check out some issues I was having with my ac/heat and steering. He worked efficiently and my car is running like it’s brand new! Nice to be able to trust a mechanic again. If you have an Audi this is the place to take it!

Amazing shop!Found them from their high VW reviews, dropped the car off and they told me it was a timing chain and that it should be covered under the dealership recall warranty that I was unaware of.I surely thought there would be some sort of cost for there time and 4 day car space I occupied. Nope! They were happy to do it for free and see it get covered for free under the warranty. Unbelievable high quality shop! I am so amazed and impressed.

Pete the owner is an old school business person - he knows his business very well, delivers great customer service/value and builds long term relationships with his customers. I found out about him online and was impressed with his reviews. So I decided to drop off my 2008 Porsche Cayenne to get some exhaust repair work done as that model shares a number of common parts with a Volkswagen Tourag (Petes company specializes in VW repairs). Pete diagnosed the problem, but told me that he could not do the work as the section of the exhaust that needed repair is not at all similar to the VW Tourag. Most mechanics would have just taken the job and figured it out on the fly - instead Pete was honest with me and told me about some other options. I only wish I had a VW so I could use him as my future mechanic!!

If you have a foreign car and want the MOST HONEST guy in town, this is your guy! Pete, the owner, has been my only GO TO GUY for all car issues for years. I refer everyone to him. Prices are fantastic for the amazing care Pete gives. Make this the car repair place for you.

This guy is awesome! Theres a serious issue out there where we cant trust claimed professionals out there anymore. Either they rob us, or are just not competent. In either case, we end up paying for it. Not with Pete Ankers. Hes honest, and knows his stuff. After Russel Volkswagen broke my car, and wanted over $2k to fixed it because they claimed it was related to something else, I took it over to Pete and he identified and fixed the problem for $75 bucks. This guy is obviously passionate about what he does, and thats who you want to go with.If you have a VW/Audi, go here. Its that simple. Hell take care of you.

He saved me lots of money! I normally take my car to a really good friend that would repair my VW CC Passat at the dealer. So my car was very well maintained. Until recently the new owners wouldnt allow him to do repairs on the property so I had to scramble to find a trustworthy dealer who was conveniently located. I found this guy and I feel like Im in good hands like my family friend.

Amazing service from an honest business owner. I found Ankers when I was looking to have my timing belt replaced on my Touareg. I was quoted anywhere from 30 to 50% more at the dealer and they dont do all the things Ankers does when the service is performed. He replaced the pulleys and guides, something the dealer says either costs extra or isnt part of the service. If all businesses ran like Ankers, the world would be a better place.

When I moved to Ellicott City three years ago I immediately searched for a competent and reliable shop for my 2000 Audi A6. Through several reviews posted online, including Angies List, I found Pete. It has been a delight to work with him, and it has saved me thousands of dollars. I periodically do quick oil changes using coupons, and these shops invariably provide you with lists of what needs to be fixed on your car. I take these lists to Pete, and there really has never been anything serious on them. Pete will tell you, Why do you want to fix this on a car this old? A lot of these tiny leaks stop all by themselves. Sure enough, within a week there was no more leak, the car is still running beautifully, and $1000s saved. When real issues do emerge, Pete is quick to order parts and get things done. I am sometimes amazed how he does it all, but he loves what he does and he is a great example for his profession.

Pete is a fair mechanic that will not screw you over which is hard to find in this field. He loves VWs and does good work for a fair price. Hell even do some extras for no charge every now and then.Ive been going there since the dealer (VW on 40) screwed me in an oil change - they forgot to screw in the oil plug which caused all the oil to spill out in my driveway. Then they wanted to charge me more rather than fixing their mistake.Pete is awesome.

NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO THE DEALER. I just got a second opinion from Ankers Automotive and he found NONE of the things wrong the dealer found. They said the struts needed replacing. I had them replaced less than a year ago! LORD!!! Ankers also told me I could have saved a bunch getting breaks from him. I know, I could have. I foolishly though a Mazda dealer would give better advice than a VW/Audi independent garage. Next car will be a VW so I never make this mistake again and just use Ankers exclusively.

Just like the other reviews, great service and honest assessment, that was my experience when my CEL began blinking and I was 90 mile from home. Pete and his staff fit me in and got my VW turbo kicking again.

I found Pete about 3 years ago when I was having a slew of problems with my 02 VW Jetta, Turbo. After 3 trips (and thousands of dollars) at the local dealership, I was fed up, angry and nearly broke. The dealership was telling me I had YET ANOTHER problem with the car that would cost several hundred in additional repairs. Then someone told me I should run the estimate by Pete - I stopped in and not only received a FREE estimate, but found out that there were several erroneous charges on my dealership estimate - repairs that were not even related to my VW!Needless to say I have not taken my car anywhere else since. Pete has treated me with more respect, fairness and dignity than the dealership ever did. He always takes great care of my car and never over charges. Its so hard to find an honest mechanic (especially as a female) and I am grateful that I have finally found one. I refer him to every VW/AUDI driver I know - if your looking for a great mechanic in the Baltimore area - ANKERS is worth the trip every time!!
