Even in the early days of the pandemic, the JMA team kept classes going with many virtual options. The staff really cares about each student and spends whatever time is required to help them move forward. We are so glad we chose JMA for our kids. We highly recommend JMA.

I absolutely love the leadership of each teacher at JMA. My 7-year-old boy is challenged and empowered by the curriculum and learns valuable lessons through the tenets taught. Would definitely recommend!

My son has improved on his ability to stand still and listen and enjoys the structure of the class. The JMA competition was so cool and so much fun for us to watch and him to participate in. My husband and I are glad we enrolled our son.

Definitely recommend to send your kids hear. I am sending all 3 kids and they are showing much interested. I like their skills and methodology of teaching the kids and motivating them. I did send my elder son to multiple places when he was boy and after coming here never looked up other in last 2 years.

This is a great place to send your kids! They truly care about your child and teaching them values and TKD. The Johnsons are always available and respond. The teachers are great! The difference in 1 year of my child with discipline & paying attention is vast, and most of that was during COVID with on-line training! They did so much with keeping kids involved when we were all stuck at home and did so many things with on-line classes and continuing the kids training.Do not hesitate to send your kids here!

Mrs and Mr Johnson are great role models for their students, providing not only the martial arts training but also encouraging and involving their students to give back to community. When our son Thomas first started in tiger cubs at Johnsons martial arts he did not like school in the least. He would wake up each morning and ask if it was a Taekwondo day. His excitement or disappointment at the answer to his question was all I needed to know. Taking classes at JMA wasand is very important to him. Now in 2nd grade his grades could not be any higher, but Taekwondo is still more important to him than school.

I cant appreciate enough the support, leadership that Mr Johnson and his team provided to develop skills for my son. I can notice several benefits in my sons overall development and leadership that he learned thru Johnsons Martial. Grateful.Thank you Mr Johnson and team.

We love love love Johnsons Martial Arts. We liked the flexibility of having different locations and timing available to choose based on our schedule. Our son has been thoroughly enjoying the classes conducted with personal attention and the admirable mindset of the teachers. Events like tournaments keeps him motivated and makes him work harder to grow as an individual. On the whole the kids are in good hands as the teacher are very caring and understanding and more than everything they teach kids the right attitude !!!

Cary school is bigger than MORRISVILLE but teaching and instructors are same and same vigor with instructions. Enjoy watching the testing and students preparedness. My kids have been training with the Johnson’s since 2013. Their experience has helped build their confidence, self control, resilience, and leadership skills. There are no automatic promotions. You have to put in the work and pass your tests to move forward! The sense of community at Johnson’s Martial Arts is strong. The students encourage each other and lasting friendships can be built.I have continued to be impressed with how they quickly adapted to zoom classes in Spring 2020. For a while those classes were the only sense of normalcy for my daughter. They have continued now with both online and limited in person training. I appreciate that flexibility!

A great mix of fun and discipline. My 7 year-old daughter began in December and Ive never seen her as committed to any activity or sport, as she is to Tiger Rock. The flexibility of classes 6 days a week that you can attend as you are able is wonderful and really helps our schedule, especially fitting in other activities. Always having a goal of moving up a belt color or level, keeps children focused and working hard to achieve. My daughter practices her form and moves constantly of her own volition, more than she practiced cartwheels for gymnastics. What people have said of the atmosphere is true as well. We are newbies, but you can definitely feel a sense of family and camaraderie whenever you go through those doors. Finally, their leadership team which allows kids and teens that are at higher belt levels to assist in classes in lower belt levels is just awesome. It is one thing to have an adult teach you, but having another kid patiently go through moves with you and encourage you really gives them role models. We are very glad we found them.

Our elder daughter has been a student for five years. So many good things to say about this school. Leadership, confidence, following directions, focus, exercise, friendship, competition, community, growth, passion, fun, I could go on. Recently, the younger daughter started and loves to go everyday!

The kid I nanny absolutely loves Johnsons! He goes two times a week, once at this location and once at the Morrisville location! Staff is knowledgeable and kind! He is in the youngest class and has so much fun while learning about martial arts!

My son and I looked for a martial arts studio in the Triangle Area and we were most pleased with Tiger Rock. They have a roomy studio, flexible schedule, and offer a variety of additional classes such as Hyper and weapons seminars.Mr. and Mrs. Johnson run a very organized studio and I appreciate that they encourage their students to be great martial artists as well as servants to their community.

The Johnsons and the rest of the instructors here have been amazing influences for my son. Their teachings of discipline, respect, perseverance and self-confidence have helped him tremendously.

Johnsons TKD academy is the best in the area! I researched many academies and was a member elsewhere for a short time. We are lucky to have found such an awesome academy. It is unique in a way that the smaller children (4-6) are in separate classes from the older and more experienced kids/adults. The children are learning much more than just martial arts...the lessons that the Johnsons offer ALL students is priceless and the academy does a lot for the community as well. We have been members for over 2 years and my 7 year old son absolutely loves it! He has never committed to anything until we joined the Johnsons TKD academy and he has grown in such a short time with their awesome instruction. The Johnsons above and beyond the ownership of an academy...they are committed more than 100% not only to their students, but to the community as well. They teach their students how to give back to the community and this aids youngsters (as well as adults) to grow in ways no other academy will offer.
