Nice staff, clean facility and spacious. However theres a mask mandate and half of the members are walking around freely (even without actively working out) without masks on so its not taking seriously. Will probably return when cases are lower but didnt feel comfortable currently.

The some of the equipment is a little different than the others planet fitness locations. Actually each location differs a little from the others. But its to be expected i guess. I like some of the differences more than others. But all in all the locations I have had the opportunity to experience are positive. The Cary location is clean and roomy. Lots of equipment.

For the love of god please add some sun screens to your windows!!! Not exactly fun to have rays of sunlight bouncing off car windshields and shining right into your eyes as you’re trying to use one of the lat pull down machines! I love the huge selection of ab machines at this location. Oh wait...there are none! Come on Cary PF! Really? You have no ab machines here?! Work on it.

Update: When I returned after my initial review, there were several choices of Celsius. No complaints here!Just recently joined this location. I moved to North Carolina last year and finally feel comfortable returning to the gym. So far the facility is very clean, and everyone is masked up which is comforting. My only complaint is the beverage choices. My last location had sugar free options like Celsius and Celsius Heat. Ive only seen Mountain Dew products and Gatorade. Nothing major but I would love to see alternative health drinks.

Jacob and Aaron at the front desk found a way to reach out to me and held onto it until I could get it, so you can tell Its a great community with honest staff. Started a membership and I like the abundance of machine and equipment. Only downside is like all planet fitnesses, there aren’t any free weight barbells

Clean with plenty of equipment! The employees are normal people, if you know what I mean. You will be made to feel comfortable there regardless of your current level of fitness.

I have joined a few gyms in my lifetime but Planet Fitness is the best. I was a member at Lifetime for a combined five years and although there is a lot there you pay dearly for it and hard to fit everything while working fulltime and raising a family. Planet Fitness is a perfect balance between price and available equipment, programs etc. Best decision I made.

They have the machines I need and have a good amount of space. Covid-19 safety protocols are enforced. Open 24/7, so I can workout anytime.Dont like the small water volume in the mens room sinks, The trickle of water does not encourage good hand-washing.

This has been my home gym since I joined PF. I love working out there. Always clean and the staff is always friendly. My only wish is that they soon return to 24 hours, due to my work schedule I have to rush to get there in time to get a workout in. Other than that I have no complaints.

If you want to be harassed about ill-informed/non-scienced based covid policies come to this gym. I Was harassed by the workers to put a mask on WHILE running sprints on a treadmill far away from everyone. I was told by the worker we like to believe here at planet fitness in a lower intensity workout in order to maintain the masks, while simultaneously I was being talked to less than 3 feet away. Then I was stalked and targeted by the staff for the remainder of my workout.

Staff are helpful, also they keep the gym clean.

The equipment you need to work out with is free. Place is nice and sanitized you can get a good long workout plus use the treadmills ellipticals etc.

Super clean, wonderful staff and the cleaner/hand sanitizer is always close by! I was nervous about the mask wearing- but all members I’ve seen have their mask while walking about. Plus is very easy to distance yourself- I’m never waiting for a machine!

I have always liked how clean the gym is and it has just been stepped up. Cleaner was VERY available and easy to social distance. I felt good to be back and glad to workout. Thanks for all the staff that made it so easy and comfortable.

Less variety in exercise equipment than I would like, and what equipment is present is below the standard other Planet Fitness locations have provided.

Great clean gym with friendly staff.

This location was a good workout. Employees were friendly and helpful. Everything was super clean. I had two issues, one there is not a small locker to put my purse in at the entry, only lockers in locker room and I definitely dont want to leave my purse in my car. The second was the number of folks using machines and not wiping them down. Not a big deal bc I clean before I use, just not courteous.

DO NOT USE THIS GYM!!!!! Even in the middle of a pandemic with cases and deaths rising these leeches are using pre Covid policies prioritizing profits over customer health and safety. Does not allow you to cancel over the phone and will be VERY rude and dismissive if you call asking for information about how they’re adjusting policy for the CDC Covid Guidelines. Horrible customer service, seems like they do not care about the pandemic at all. Very unsafe would not be surprised if it was run by anti maskers with how flippant they were about asking Covid questions. DO NOT USE

Staff is very friendly and professional. They make sure to inform everyone of sanitary regulations and all are required to wear mask at all times. Including while using machines. I appreciate them taking the time to wipe down all machines, to make sure everyone feels safe.

Really shotty customer service here. I have moved from NC to GA, and they refuse to cancel my membership unless I come into the location in person or write a letter to them. The fact I cant cancel over the phone is incredibly inconvenient and inconsiderate. Get with the times. Its $10/month. It should not be an act of congress to cancel my membership.When I was a member, the place was fine. Get what you pay for - just left a bad taste in my mouth after an unwillingness to work with my current situation.

I love this gym! The staff are friendly and helpful and it is extremely clean and well kept.There are a variety of machines and classes offered. Erik the Trainer is amazing. This pf has newer equipment with slight variations that I dont like, but thats a subjective thing. It is very clean and covid durable.Staff is friendly but I dont like that my guests cant use massage items.They have newer hydromassage which IS better . But hey, its time to fill the soap dispensers in the showers guys. What do you think is the probability of getting covid from a soap dispenser with so many people already vaccinated?

Worst experience ever. Wont get a membership with them ever. I went on 9/30 to cancel my membership and all went fine and I signed the cancellation form and I asked the associate if there is any other charges so I can stop them from my bank and he told me No other charges you are all set. Today 10/2 I found a charge of $39 into my bank account went to the Gym and I told them I already canceled a few days ago they told me cancelation didnt went through and its my mistake I should have cancelled before 25th and you can dispute with your bank but we wont refund you any money. What a shame! Ill dispute this with my bank this is not over.

Singled out and followed around by a staff member who demanded every rule be followed despite ignoring all other members violations, including phone and weight use. I suspect racism was involved but have no proof so just be wary of potential risks when working out

I have been to other Planet Fitness locations around the country, but this location (Cary) really stands out. The employees are always nice and helpful, and they keep the place and equipment super clean. Love going here!

Its a well-maintained Planet Fitness. The staff are friendly and helpful. I had an issue with my account and I spoke to Terrence, whom I believe is the general manager. He was able to help me out with ease, and made the whole ordeal completely painless.

DO NOT JOIN ANY PLANET FITNESS! IF FOR ANY REASON YOU HAVE TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP THEY MAKE IT NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE! .... First, you have to go to the SAME CLUB you signed up at and fill out a cancellation form. So if youve moved out of state youre out of luck on that front. But no worries you can always send them a handwritten letter in the mail explaining why you wish to cancel. The arrogance and ridiculous processing is insane. Btw, they clearly state that you cannot cancel by phone or email, how convenient. They say this as if it is just completely out of their hands and there is no possible way they could possibly change this process... I understand cancellation fees if you signed up with a membership that has a time frame and you want to cancel early. There are no fees after one year and Ive been with them for about 2 years now. Its infuriating that I have to go through all these steps simply because I dont go there anymore and dont need to waste the $22 a month. Find yourself a couple of good YouTube channels and spend a hundred bucks on various workout equipment new or used and you can get in killer shape at home without the extortion of a gym membership!

It’s a great atmosphere! The staff is always super friendly & I never feel like I’m being judged.

My only complaint are these few things:1) I asked if you guys could please turn down the turbo on the fans and the woman at the desk said she would tell her manager. They never were turned down, and the stair masters are SO close to the TV and fans I feel like the blades on the fan are going to hit me. I can also reach out and touch the history channel tv without issue (and Im short!).2) its really dark in here, but thats my complaint with most PF. The PF at Strickland is the only one that is bright and welcoming.You guys have a lot of machines but only two stair masters, which is lame. Honestly I probably wont come back to this one.

This Planet Fitness is one of the largest I have used anywhere in the country. The employees are very engaging and friendly. The machines and facilities are clean and well maintained. The price is right !

Terrance Lamb is an exceptional employee. His ability to make you feel generally welcome each and every time you come to the gym is a true superpower. When you come into the facility his employees are always on task and keeping busy and the facility is spotless. He is quick to address any issues and always goes above expectations. The gym is nice but the staff at this location are what makes it stand apart from other fitness facilities. I cant say enough great things about Terrance and the culture has created there.

Trialed the gym on Sunday and liked it overall. Went to join today and looks like the enrollment fee jumped from $5 to $55 for the $10/month plan. Staff told me they couldnt do anything about enrollment fees and that they change depending on days and promotions. That would have been useful to know on Sunday.

This review is for the Planet Fitness located in Holly Springs. I tried to cancel my membership during the first part of the pandemic due to being immunosuppressed. They informed me that this wouldnt be possible due to their policy of having to go into the gym to cancel. Soon thereafter, the facility was closed and I couldnt go into the facility. Now, 5-6 months later, I still dont feel safe going back into the gym or being around so many people. I tried to cancel today and they told me that they would still charge me for the next month as I should have canceled by the 10th. I already fulfilled my year long contract but they dont care. Stay away from this company and any contracts that they may try to talk you into.

They ask you to email them. They do NOT reply. I emailed them months ago. Never got a reply.Emailed them again a couple weeks ago.NO REPLY. Sent another email. No REPLY.I thought, “hey! Maybe it’s me!” I checked the email, checked my spam folder. NOTHING.The customer service at this location is Unprofessional. You get what you pay for.Terrible.

They are getting new Equipment soon as well as more space we all hope and look forward to all of that. For now they need a Reverse Hyper extension so we can rehab our lower backs and a seated Calf raise would be nice too!CORONA VIRUS COVID-19 UPDATE 9/15/20:They are doing good but many handles are missing and you have to check out rope grips from the front desk now. We need more of every type of cable handles bad soon.

This is a great gym. Im always nervous to go to a gym but Planet Fitness helps me feel comfortable. There is enough space for everyone to do their own thing without feeling crowded. The womens bathroom is usually clean (I only use the locker room portion so Im not sure about the showers). The staff are friendly but they seem...absent. The only attentive one is the new night manager! My fiance (unknowingly) had a missed payment over a year and a half ago. We have been going since then and the night manager is the first person to bring it up. She was very kind about it and didnt give us a hard time. Overall I like Planet Fitness, I will continue to go and recommend it.

I attended this place as a guest. The equipments are very good and in good and new shape, it is not crowded in the evening, the only downside was checking in as a guest took a lot longer than I’d expect. Almost 10 minutes.

A decent shower is not existing valve on one is broken , one spray only cold water and the one that works has no soap. I just joined that gym , i dont like it already.

Working out at Planet Fitness is always a laid-back, fun experience. The gym is always super clean and fresh, and the staff are always welcoming and helpful. Ive been to gyms where everything was grimey, equipment didnt work, people were jerks, and overall the vibe was miserable and demotivating. Planet Fitness is always such a positive place to be! Purple and Yellow give me life!

I just love my time at PF! Though I have the option of Home Gym or nearby trails I still go to PF every day. With so many people around right from beginners to professional body builders I get all the energy and motivation to do my routine.Hygienic Clean environment, All possible high quality professional equipments, lockers, showers, trainers, friendly staff... the list goes on.... all at such an affordable monthly rate!! What else one can ask for?

Love the price and variety of equipment and space. I am missing a couple things I used to like to work out with at my old gym, but I’ve found other things I can work with that serve the same function. The price of 10$/month more than makes up for that! Super nice people work there too, and there are friendly people around if you have any questions- great atmosphere!

Planet Fitness is the best gym ever, you just have pay $20 monthly and you can use their business card around the America if you have their card you can go in any gym in any State. And other good thing is this youre able bring person as a guest 😉

I liked the warm welcome received from the staff, all staff members were friendly and cordial. The facility was clean and a great environment. The equipment was well maintained and there was enough equipment to be able to get in a good work out!

Been a member for 13 years before it was called Planet Fitness. Open 24 hours a day and the equipment is almost always in complete working order. Broken equipment seems to be fixed promptly. Pretty clean. No major complaints. Minus one star for a collection of small things.

I love this gym! Friendly staff, great trainer, many pieces of equipment, clean and smells good considering its a gym full of people! I work out at the cary and garner location.

Great staff and nice locker rooms. Love the vending machines if you need a lock or forgot your headphones. Machines are slightly dated, but still in great shape.

Been a member for the past month and a half and this is truly a judgement free gym unlike others gyms I have been at which I wont name to protect their reputation. Staff is very friendly and always greets me unlike at some other gyms. Also price is really good and competitive unlike at other gyms. 5 Stars!Staff are great and come here a lot about 4 days per week. Well maintained equipment, friendly staff and clean workout floor, locker rooms are passible but could be better.

There is WAY too many people here. The only good time for me to go is like 9pm where there’s a decent amount of people , but any other time is SO OVERCROWDED and I do not like it . I have to wait to use the machines, and sometimes theyre broken. They need to either add more equipment , or raise their prices because there is far too many people at PF

This isnt the fanciest gym in the world. But its affordable, close to my home, the staff are friendly, and the equipment is well maintained. My only wish is that theyd get a couple of rowing machines, but theres always plenty of treadmills, ellipicals, and the like. Its clean, the vibe is very friendly, and its an all-around good value.
