This review is in regard to delivery of packages that are not mine, nor addressed to my residence, yet is constantly being dropped off at my resident. I think the delivery person is lazy, or rushing to complete his deliveries before his shift ends, or is rushing to get off work early. I also think its because my apartment is the closest unit to the entry-way of two 2-story apartment buildings. Ive dropped of a previous package to the main mailroom on the premises, but the main door locked after 5:00 p.m., nor is the main office open to receive packages. Anyway, Im not the delivery person and should not have to take a package to the main lobby, nor insure its safety of delivery. Thank God, Im a honest person.

I have worked both sides of the counter (not at this location) for decades. I have worked with mean/rude clerks and clerks who go above duty. Alot depends on Postmaster. The Distribution plants affect process so much. Clerks need to be more patient, not assume public knows processes. Public often think its an simple job, not realizing that clerks have little control over process ( before it arrives or after it leaves). If you have a realistic complaint, file it online at USPS. Postmaster will address it.

Worst service ever!!! All Im trying to do is get ahold of a customer service person to ask him/her a couple questions and the phone directory REFUSES to let me speak to anyone!!! There is a reason why people are losing patience and faith in USPS

So the Post Office doesn’t answer the phone anymore ?? “Canceled call” because it rang so long the phone just disconnected. I understand if they were busy but to let the phone just ring, ring, ring and then to not pick up ( 4 times ) is ridiculous.

I have always loved this post office. Its always clean and I like that its spacious enough that youre not breathing down the persons neck in front of you because youre crammed in. The employees have always been more than helpful and I am always greeted with smiling, friendly faces. I have had this as my main post office for years. They delivered my mail to my street address in Carson for years and now I have a P.O. Box there. Never a lost package and always right on time. I also love the self-service kiosk.Note to the lady that gave 1 star regarding the self service kiosk ~ You gave 1 star because you were upset the employee wouldnt give you your stamps without proving you purchased them. I dont know what business wouldnt make you prove you purchased your item, and it turns out you didnt even get charged for them! It just seems like you didnt use the kiosk correctly so I dont know why they deserve a 1 star rating.And a note to the lady driving an hour multiple times for a passport ~ If you went the first time or even a second time and couldnt get what you needed done, did you think of calling the post office? I have called a couple times during business hours and a live person always answers that is actually at this post office.

I was supposed to get a letter straight at my door on my birthday, I was home all day and supposedly the mail delivery person knocked and left a note saying no one answered. Like I said I was Home all day and I would have heard a knock at the door, unless he or she knocked as light as possible. I then rescheduled for delivery Thursday and I still have not got the package. Have now been on hold with post office for 34 minutes!!

Only two people working in the front today. Linda spent most of the time talking while the line was almost out the door. Talking to a woman about how cute something was. A clerk from the back asked her about the hold up and only then she started working again blaming the computers.

I have packages that get returned to the post office with a sticker in my mail to pick it up at the main post office I was standing there one day and watching them do this they did not attempt to put the packages in the locker. They are supposed to drop the packages off at the house they refuse to do so I have packages that say have been delivered according to their tracking service for 5 days they have not shown up

Passport office lady was so rude said I needed an appointment and just closed door on my when I was trying to ask a question. Would have been nice to have been told I could just do everything online but never told me that as she closed the door in my face.

I called to check on a package that was 2 days late and was met with complete rudeness I asked a question and was yelled at asked if I was listening and constantly interrupted,and then hung up on for asking a question when a simple answer could have been told to make me understand instead I was yelled at and hung up on . I called and they wouldnt give me a number or anything to file a complaint

MESSAGE TO ALL USPS EMPLOYEES in Carson City on Roop St. please be more caring of your community mail. You are provoking identity theft to the MAX! THIS IS SERIOUS.....YOU NEED TO START PAYING ATTENTION WHERE THE MAIL GETS DELIVERED!My neighbors mail such as payments his customers send him are being put in my mailbox. Ive also been receiving other extremely confidential documents like IRS docs, tax W2s and Social Security information meant to be delivered to other houses in my neighborhood. Thank GOD for honest people such as myself that just forwards the mail to the correct address. I just wonder how much of my mail (confidential) is going elsewhere that i may never see again. Or, that someone not as honest as me are trying to use to my or other peoples mail information to apply for a credit card and go on a shopping spree.......Mail being delivered to my place of work also, gets other business owners mail. The companys PO BOX also get mail meant for other PO BOXES. PAY MORE ATTENTION POST OFFICE EMPLOYEES. Ive called to complain and as always, there is an excuse. We are short handed or Someone else is covering for the usual delivery person or We have new employees in training. All these are excuses excuses and not justifiable. JUST GET IT RIGHT!

Says package delivered in mail box however it was not delivered to my home? Cant call the office and get an actual human on the ohone to dispute this. I was home all day the mail never came this was an important package I had been waiting on to be delivered I did get the text update saying delivered but the mail truck wasnt even on our street when this happened! Someone contact to in regards to this issue because I cant get a human to answer the stupid phone

I have lived in Carson City 20 years and Ive always received courteous treatment and helpful information, no matter what time of year, whether the lobby is full or nearly empty. If the workers are short staffed I dont hold the wait time against them. They are all wonderful service workers and I appreciate them very much!

Im not giving 4 stars for delivery cause that would be a 1 star. However going into the office no name for privacy of the supervisor but if anyone is asked im sure youll remember my name. Im am highly impressed with your professionalism. You knew I was very upset and aggravated but you took charge in a very busniess way treating me like a person not like a number. I appreciate you taking care of it the best way you could at that moment and thank you for your polite behavior and willingness to listen to my problem and take action quickly to resolve the problem. Even though you couldnt do it right then and there. I hope you get a raise but stay in that position as im sure the postal service would get more respect with you and your team who is always wonderful and respectful even when they just dealt with a horrible customer. I hope this comment makes your supervisors proud and are sure to let you know that all of you in the office are awesome.

We have put in the appropriate change of addresses and noticed that some of our mail was still going to our old address.We have contacted the post master twice and expressed our concerns as we have been waiting on extremely important mail to arrive!We have received emails back both times assuring us that our mail is being forwarded, except it’s not! Since we received responses more mail has been delivered to our old address!On top of it we aren’t receiving the mail that we are being notified of through informed delivery!We did everything right and were even understanding when there was humor error! It happens! But we STILL have not had the issue resolved!During such a scary time, such as the current pandemic, I would hope that the issue would be resolved by the second, and surely by the 3rd time that the issue has been brought to their attention.Unfortunately it has not been resolved and this is just NOT ACCEPTABLE! I understand we don’t always have a choice in who delivers our mail and shipments but I can only suggest that ANY time possible please use ANY other method! Especially in Carson City Nevada and even more so if the Roop St office is your main hub. What a nightmare! I’ve experienced such awful customer service in the past while inquiring information to ship a large shipment to another state. I lead frustrated but let it go as it was Christmas time and clearly the representative that I was working with didn’t have customer service on her mind AT ALL!This is becoming ridiculous though! I can’t even trust that the Post Office won’t do what they assure me they will do...not once...not twice zzz but three times now and we are STILL HAVING issues!I couldn’t be more unsatisfied!Negative 5 stars!!!

A couple times packages have been returned to the Post office prematurely becouse the delivery people dont ring the bell &/or give time to get to the door before scribbling the pick up slip and running. Otherwise (5 ⭐) @ the building workers and customer service is really good and gotten better. I say this from both sides of customer service & dealing with people.

Dave is incredibly kind, efficient, and helpful. Dave is always eager to help and displays an excellent attitude.Never has a USPS package sent from here been delivered on time. Packages sent from here have taken longer than the expected delivery date, so if you have an urgent package, you might need to seek a different service. I’ve sent packages 2-day priority that have taken anywhere from 5 days to 2 weeks to be delivered.

Consistently delivers our mail to the wrong address (business and home) and on at least a few different occasions mail was returned to sender stating office/business location vacant. Grossly incompetent, under worked and over paid. Good luck with calling customer service, wait time is always 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours.

This place honestly has the worst customer service Ive ever seen.I ordered a package around Christmas time that had two books in it. The garage door, which once held the mail box slot, got replaced, so I needed a new one. My package was transferred to this post office, and to my surprise, the package didnt get delivered. I figured it was because of the lack of a mail box, and while I found that to be dumb since it was a package, I understood that the post office had rules. Even though I was upset, I knew that it was my fault for not getting a new mail box sooner.I spoke to the supervisor, who was extremely rude to me. Mind you, I just recently turned 18 and have only been living on my own for two months, so I have no had to deal with these things myself before. When I was on the phone, I had said, My friend told me packages could be delivered on the porch. She proceeded to be sarcastic and said, Well, glad to know your friend knows more about the postal service than we do. She then told me shed hold the package for me. Since I was unable to make it that day, I planned to go the following.The next day I woke up and got ready to go. I left around noon, walked forty minutes in the freezing cold to the post office, only for them to tell me they cant find my package. I supervisor, a male on this time, came out and asked for my phone number. Wondering if Id made a mistake, I said, Are there any other post offices around here? The guy then lied and said there was one on Highway 50. Figuring that Id made a mistake, I walked home in the cold for another forty minutes.Curious, I checked the tracking, only to see that it had been sent back to Amazon, even after the lady said she was going to hold it. After giving myself some time to calm down, I called back, only to have the person on the other end tell me that it may have been sent out prior to the supervisor telling me shed hold it. I knew that couldnt be the case, because the supervisor had made it seem as thought she had the package in her hand when I was on the phone with her.Either way, they were very unsupportive, rude, and seemed to have sent my package back to the sender out of spite. I am very displeased with this post office and really hope that I dont have to deal with them face-to-face again in the near future.

Horrible service, does not care about having happy customers. Which is pretty obvious based off the 1.8 stars.The post office sent all of my holiday packages back to their senders due to me moving. I have never submitted anything stating a move or had any problems during the regular shipping season. I assume they were too busy and couldnt handle the workload. I went into the office and attempted to get a explanation or refund for over $100 My family had spent on sending packages and they were of no help with either, and acted as if somehow this was my fault. Will be switching to private party carriers who care about their customers. Theres a reason USPS hemorrhages money every year.

Poor management. The manager at the station was not helpful, and clearly could have cared less about the customers and the employees. After explaining how important the delivery was for my business, she promised to call when my carrier returned to the station with my package, so I could run down and pick it up. I never received that call.She was not helpful, and half the time, just stared at me like she was somewhere else. Poor customer service on the part of management. The clerks were as helpful as they could be considering the volume of customers in the lobby.

I have literally driven an hour round trip to this post office FIVE times to get my passport. Each time there is a sign on the door saying passports are closed today. The employee just makes up her own hours, and every time they give some sort of excuse as to why she is not there.

The post office in Carson City, Nevada returned the title to my car to the DMV, after I paid $21 to have it mailed. The DMV here will not give you one when you pay in person. They only mail them. Anyone else sense a rigged scam here? Why should I have to pay 2 times for a document? Who put the post office in charge of which letters I do and do not receive? WORST POST OFFICE EVER.

This post office is absolutely useless. They lost some of my wedding invites and after I moved, they continue to not forward my mail even after I filled out the form to do so a week before I even moved. Stop giving strangers my mail! Not to mention they only have one phone. One phone for an entire post office, how incredibly stupid. They need to staff more people and get at least another phone.

This is the most incompetent post office I have ever had to deal with. They are constantly putting our mail in the wrong mailbox, putting neighbors mail in our mailbox, putting other peoples packages at our door that aren’t even in the same building as us and loosing our packages altogether (probably putting them at the wrong door as well) extremely unsatisfactory and I would give it a zero star rating if it were possible.

Ever since Ive lived in Carson city, Ive had the misfortune of dealing with this place! Time and time again, bills are put into other peoples mailboxes, or I will receive one of theirs. Packages have been delivered to the wrong house, and Ive had to walk to other peoples houses to give them their mail. In fact, today they said they had delivered something I had ordered online, but apparently they delivered it to someone elses house. So now I have to wait until they decide to bring it to me. I have called them in the past asking for something to be done, for Im tired of having past due bills because they cant put them in my mailbox. Its either an extremely long wait for them to answer ( probably because someone else is complaining) or its rude customer service. Nothing has ever been done and it continues to happen every time I get mail. Its very frustrating when you cant depend on your only option.

I sell collectible currency on eBay so Im able to put my first class parcels with tracking mail into the out-going slot at my cluster boxes near my home. Five times in the past three months, Ive checked online to make sure my items have been picked up and found they werent. Going down to the boxes after delivery and using a flash light on my phone, I can see my stuff still sitting there.Ive called and politely complained yet the problem continues. Two of the three people, Joanne and Kyle, were very nice, but the superior delivery supervisor was nasty and even threatened to block my mail if I complained again (luckily for me shes been out with shoulder surgery the past month).The fourth time it happened I had mailed out on a Wed. evening. They werent picked up Thurs. nor Fri. I waited for the carrier early Sat. morning and all he had to say was they werent there, insinuating I was lying.The people at the physical location are very friendly (thats the only reason for the two stars) but the counter isnt usually well staffed causing long lines.

Unfortunately have had to use them to receive a few packages over the year. Horrible service with incapable and slow service. Late packages that are sent back to CO main hub after my city and back again on First Class Shipping. Lost a bill when they took my mail back, out of my 4x4 slot that fills up in 2 days.

Horrible, Horrible service, keep calling for 2 weeks for my mail box key. Every day the said would be ready tomorrow and is been 2 weeks. The person who supposed to do that is in 3 Weeks vacation but doesnt suppose someone else take care of job instead of keep people waiting that long and they even done apologize.this is the most irresponsible awful and arrogant organization Ive seen.
