Soleil Greaves was very kind to come in on her day off on short notice. She was very patient and empathic to my concerns and grief. I have used Rhoton Funeral Home four times, one was a preplan. This one was more emotional for me, but Ms. Greaves went above and beyond her job description. I cannot put into words the comfort I felt with her.

I would give 6 stars if possible! From my first phone contact with Bertha Hurels to make pre-arrangements, I had total peace that I had made the perfect choice. Bertha was knowledgeable, gave detailed answers to my many questions, and encouraged me to call her if I had additional questions, which I did. The employees who transported the body to Rhoton Funeral Home were both compassionate and professional. My initial phone contact with Shayla Below, General Manager/Funeral Director, immediately put me at ease. I brought two friends with me for the office visit and Shayla answered every question any of us had. She never tried to push anything on me, but instead kept asking what I wanted. She encouraged me to call or email her at any time, and I did so multiple times. Once I was surprised to see that she responded to my email at 1:30am. Shayla has gone above and beyond in fulfilling every request I have had, even down to the smallest detail. Who does that, but someone who truly gives their all to support the family during that difficult time. Shayla recognizes that what she does is not just a job, but a ministry calling. Very few have that understanding, and I believe that is what makes Rhoton Funeral Home and its employees superior to others.

My husband was killed out of state, Alan and Tiffany made my process of getting his body taken care of so easy for me. I recommend Rhoton Funeral Home to any family needing their services.

This is a minus 100 funeral home. They had my sons body.they continued to lie to us. They denied us the truth about where our son was being held because of his wife. We had our son 52 years ago. To them the parents are nothing. I don’t understand how they could do away with 52 years of our life with my son. To me they are the bottom of the pit on caring and professional services. They could have at least told us the truth but they choose to lie. My only hope for them is they never have a peaceful day here on earth for the pain they put us thru. Instead of Rhoton it should be rotten. My name is Isabell Arnold the mother of Billy Wayne Arnold Jr and I want everyone to know who I am and what these people did to my family and I. Be careful if you ever use this place

I cannot say enough positive comments about this place. If I could, I would give this place a 10 star rating. The staff were extremely kind, empathetic and accommodating during the planning of my Dads funeral. My Dad looked wonderful in the casket and the service was beautiful. The burial at DFW National Cemetery was carried out so smoothly. I highly recommend this funeral home. I could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you, Shayla, Mike and all the staff for everything.

Rhoton was sensitive, professional, and prepared for our meetings. Our Director, David Evans, was very through and professional. When I had a concern or needed help, he handled it promptly. In addition, I needed some information from a file over 20 years old. Tamara helped me so much by locating the important information. Thank you so much to this team.

Alan and the other associates at Rhoton Funeral home (Carrollton) made this very difficult time much easier to get through. After the death of my father Alan walked me through each step of final arrangements. Everyone was so kind and helpful, we could not have asked for a kinder group to help us through this very emotional and difficult chapter.

Rhoton came recommended by my neighbor who experienced 3 deaths with them. All i have done so far is the prepaid cremation paperwork with Bertha which she presented clearly with choices of how to pay. I have lived in Carrollton for 33 years and never considered utilizing anyone but Rhoton when the time came.

Before and during our service, they were knowledgeable, ready to serve, and approachable with questions and requests. Our interactions were mostly with the experienced representative Flossie and she made sure we knew we could contact her or the Home whenever we had concerns. Worked with the staff to make my pre-arrangements for myself and my spouse couldnt of asked for a more professional and caring. There was no pressure to make the decisions that most fit my family.

I am writing this review after the death of my mother in law after a brutal 2 year battle with brain and lung cancer. The way my father in law was treated was beyond deplorable.When He called My father in law said He would give CHC 2 weeks to propose a remedy to make our plethora of issues and his email was not even responded to.  Sending him the generic rules of cemetery was all that was done!Due to the lack of response Roger Hanson (my father in law)  has to handle his dissatisfaction with reviews warning people of the greed and dishonesty of this funeral home. They have practices that out of greed and after misleading you use the phrase “its the company policy repeatedly. We are left with only with the BBB and social media avenues to share these practices!Just to summarize his concerns and warn all of you who may be grieving and considering using this business : (from my father in law in his own words)I was informed of the cost of a graveside service that was $1395+ Overtime $150, + processing feeI asked for a price reduction due to the fact we were doing a very small and private ceremony with only 5 people and we expected to stay long enough to a quick prayer and only to place urn in ground...no ceremony, no sermon, no music, no chairs, astroturf or tent was needed, no assistance with parking numerous cars!  You told me you would check to see if there was any flexibility.   You checked and Belinda checked with you and the answer was “no its company policyThen I was told that I could only do burial if I paid off Cindys portion of the plot , and I could that financially. I had to pay of this balance even though this was not disclosed to me at time of pre-planned purchase, I though that And was told I could be on a payment plan. At the Phoenix sister location the representatives were fully award that Cindy my wife had less than 6 months to live!  I paid off the pre pay balance!    because again “company policy! and I had no choice!Then I was informed that if i wanted a large 2 person monument that I would have to pay off my space prior to placement and that the rep with Dignity/CHC should have told me this.  I think the pre-paid logic for purchase is a waste if this is your business practice.  It makes people who are emotionally compromised even more challenged due large payments needed even before life insurance proceeds are available to family to use! We are talking over 10 thousand dollars. Do most families have this kind of money laying around. For goodness sake we needed a go fund me for medical bills. Cancer is astronomically expensive!Even using a vendor like (Headstone) who makes headstones cheaper, I was asked to share with Belinda the price as she might be able to meet it, was a lie! The price for the same headstone was over $300 more.While I dont expect any thing to change, you need to consider some flexibility!If this business had not literally mislead me, lied to me and overcharged me during the most difficult part of my life and my family’s life I would be able to pay down some of considerable bills to UTSW for cancer and the medical care of Cindy,I would help financially the angels ( caregivers!) who worked for Hospice and were true angels, taking care of Cindy in her last few months.Maybe if they make changes this could help someone who is very financially challenged with their funeral, and not as fortunate as Cindy and me! We luckily had life insurance. But as you may not know, readers, life insurance takes many weeks to come in. So to be able to simply bury my wife i had to borrow all the money from family. This company is called dignity they are suppose to give you a dignified experience. They did the opposite. They rubbed salt in our wounds. They abuse the death of your loved one and your desire to honor themGive you wrong information with dozens of documents with fine print assuring me of what im signing when im emotionally so vulnerable. As of today they have done nothing to rectify my mistreatment if anything changes i will update my review.

Laid my mother to rest in 2015. Rhoton Funeral Home staff were amazing. They thought of everything. I was beside myself with grief, and was so grateful to them for how caring and considerate they were.

I could not ask for a better person than Shayla to help me through such a difficult time. She assisted me in order to make everything possible that I requested.

Both my mother and father passed away this year and the staff and management where excellent. Three generations of my family have had services there excellent people.
