I just wanted to take a minute to thank the whole Metrocrest team for making one of the hardest times in my life much easier. Gina and Kate were both so helpful in making sure my dads serivce and final resting place where everything I could hope for and more. Not only did I feel like my dad was in the best hands possible, I felt like I had amazing hands guiding me through not just the choices but all the emotions too. Thank you so much for making everything the best it could have been in such a hard situation.

Your level of personal service was excellent. Managing a memorial service during the pandemic was not something I was prepared to do. Thankfully, Metrocrest knew exactly how to handle it. Kate Moore Branson and her team were on top of every detail, including a seamless last minute transition from outside to inside. I am forever grateful.

From the very beginning when I was looking for funeral homes this was such a comforting experience. The person answering the phones was extremely nice, which I cannot tell you how comforting it is specially in such horrible circumstances. I then spoke with Richard Burton and i cannot express how grateful I am to have had him by our side! He has been super helpful and has always kept me updated on everything. I didn’t have to hunt him down for information instead he called me and kept me updated on everything. This was most helpful as I already had way to much on my brain. Truly you will be so glad to pick Metrocrest during these horrible times because they really take care of you! I would definitely give them 10 stars! Thank you so much Richard for being so sweet and helpful you have made this whole thing as comforting as it can possibly be and for that We are so grateful. ❤️

Had only a few weeks after my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer before she passed. This funeral home was recommended by The First United Methodist Church The Colony. Our church has used them in the past. I chose cremation and ashes to be returned to her family cemetery in Tennessee in the near future. Richard had all the answers- and for those questions I hadnt thought to ask......

Metrocrest Funeral Home delivered quality respectful service at a difficult time. I did not feel rushed or pressured. They were prepared to meet me at my financial level. They seemed happy to have my business even though I was not a high paying client. They were friendly, understanding and patient. I would highly recommend them.

The experiences my family and I have had at this business has left much to be improved. The initial intake process went well. My Father succumbed to COVID-19 quickly and quite tragically. His COVID-19 status caused issues with planning his service in a timely manner, this is the first mistake. We were not exactly thinking straight at the time and decided to try to accommodate extended family and my Dads friends. This was a mistake given the public health situation and our director offered no insight or direction. We eventually closed the services and instead focused on the streaming service offered.Planning for the streaming service and slide show was not handled well. I showed up on the day of the service with the slide show on a flat file (on a flash drive). Once again, we were offered no direction so we produced a presentation based upon being able to use a flat file. We also had a play list created for the wake with no way of casting music in the room. Luckily, I had brought speakers and was able to play the music that way and the DVD player was able to play flat files. I feel that the director should have provided direction to us so we produced something that would have been usable. The service could have been completely ruined if not for dumb luck. Then our order for urns were messed up. We provided in writing what we wanted and I just paid the bill. Our order was rather straight forward and I did not think it required scrutiny. The order was provided but I did not do a thorough review of it. On the day I picked up my Fathers remains; it was discovered there was missing urns. The director had to collect some of my Dads remains to fill the remaining urns. I was not happy over the circumstances but I just let it go as it was going to be resolved. If our experience has ended there, I may have left a 3-star review. It was not ideal experience but, in the end, we made it thru the ordeal. However, those remaining urns is where Metrocrest truly dropped the ball. My sister had arranged to pick up the remaining urns. Upon getting to the location, she was presented the urns with a ziplock bag of my Fathers remains that did not fit into the remaining urns. My sister was horrified by such an action. How could a funeral home be so insensitive to someone as to present a grieving daughter the remains of her Father in a ziplock bag with his name on it. Seriously? This is the best we can expect from a professional funeral home. The only saving grace in the moment was a director, not the one we were assigned above, saw what had happened and stepped in. He took my Dads remains away and brought them back in another urn. The damage was done, my sister was a wreck and utterly dumbfounded by the funeral home’s action. I cannot recommend this funeral home.I had used the reviews here to pick this funeral home and felt the need to voice my disapproval of this business. I get that we are living thru extraordinary times and in theory, a funeral home should be prepared to help guide grieving families thru this process. I did all I could to get thru 2 weeks of agony preparing for my Fathers service as I was under COVID-19 quarantine. I needed my director to be the voice of reason and help us make the right decision given the circumstances. I get that the idea of quarantining has become controversial, but the directors job is at least to offer direction and allow us to decide. I would believe a directors job is to instruct and guide family thru all of the decisions that need to be made, from big decisions to the smallest details (which a grieving family most likely would miss) so that the service can be executed with dignity and respect. Dumb luck should not be the modus operandi for a funeral home. Ultimately, a funeral home should know not to present the remains of a parent to a child in a ziplock bag. There are many ways of handling this situation that demonstrate respect and dignity to my Fathers remains. I would find another funeral home to handle your family.

Our experience with Metrocrest Funeral Home was wonderful considering the circumstances. They were affordable and complete in meeting ALL of our needs. But more important was the compassion and patience that Michelle Guiterrez exhibited. I am a bit detailed oriented, but Michelle handled all my details with ease. She gently mentioned things that I had not considered. All of this culminated in beautiful services for my 93 year old mother. I cannot thank her enough.I also have to thank Phillip Powell. He worked with Michelle at the services and was so helpful and fun!I will recommend Metrocrest to anyone in need of your services. My heartfelt thanks to your entire staff.Gratefully yours,Cecile and Samuel Evans

We generally had a very good experience with the staff at Metrocrest Funeral home. The only glitch seems to be the failure of our family to receive our Sons ashes and the death certificates after meeting with your staff three weeks ago. This may also be a problem with the US Mail.
