I met Carmon 6years ago and he’s never short of showing great discernment and runs the most honest and reliable mechanic shop around. There’s nothing he can’t work on and is always kind.

Carmon is a class act. I went in originally to have my clutch actuator checked out, but he was extremely honest and said that he wasnt able to fix or diagnose the problem. He didnt spend hours trying to diagnose something that he knew he couldnt exactly diagnose just so he could charge me labor. He told me exactly what to do, where the best dealership was to get it checked out, and got my oil changed in the fastest time Ive ever had. Great business, great business man, and an all-around great experience.

This place is great if you know your way around cars, dont have too many questions or are happy to hand over keys to the garage and pick it up after the work is done - no questions asked. They are not a very attractive place for a first time car owner with tons of questions.

Hands down the best auto place in Dallas. Camron is incredibly knowledgeable, honest, and kind. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes with an oil change and he was so sweet to show my son (3 years old) how to change oil on a car. I’m so impressed with this place!

They were prompt knowledgeable and motivated to take care of my car which is a 08 bmw I was impressed at the speed they finished my car.

My check engine light came on and I stopped by. The mechanic there (I didnt catch his name) was super quick, friendly, and solved my problem. He even gave me the next few steps to take if the problem occurs again. Bonus points for the adorable dog that was there too.

I used to live up the street years ago so I decided to take my car to get my brakes fixed, needed front brake pads and rotors. I am a woman all alone so of course they over charge me for the work, $243 for just the front.. anyways I pay and leave. Next day I’m driving on the highway and my brakes start to give out and grind really bad also making a loud noise. I call and the rude man they have working in the front kind of just blew me off like it’s not that serious, told me to just bring it back. First off it’s a huge deal because it’s my time and money I’m wasting. I have to find out how I’m going to get my car back up there to get fixed and I get off at 5pm they close at 6pm 🙄 I asked to speak with the owner he would not give me his information to contact him.. remind you my car was not making ANY noises or grinding before I went in, just shaking when I stopped. I will never go back to this place. They used to have better macanics.. hopefully they shut down. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Ive been going here for years now usually Carmen does my oil change the last two times he hasnt been there, there was two younger guys there one was smoking weed and so I ignored let them do my oil change....well my oil change was never done! But I was charged for it like they did it...I would say this place has gone way down quick. And will not be back here good place gone bad. Sent someone else here right before this and they said the same I was shocked going to have vehicle checked today I believe they didnt change oil light came on very soon after and has been running like it never had one.

Im back again! This time for something different. The owner of this shop, Carmon, rocks. Ive been coming here for a while now, and he immediately ran a diagnostic, told me what the issue was, and gave an immediate quote with estimated time. I am always pleased when I bring my vehicle here. The shop is still not done with my car, but he said in about 30 more minutes they should be complete. Again, this guy is the best. Ive taken my car to other places and didnt care for their customer service, their attempt to overcharge, and rediculous prices. Here at Xpress Automotive the owner doesnt take advantage of anyone. If I didnt love his work I wouldnt continue to bring my car here. Again, he treats his customers like friends & family. If you live in this part of Dallas, I highly recommend bringing your vehicle here. I almost forgot to mention that he works with you with getting the problem resolved. If there is something that you cant quite afford, he will do what he can to fix what you NEED and tell you to not forget to come back in however length of time to get the remaining job complete. Dont go here! The guy might be nice but he is very unprofessional. I came back today after picking up my car for a simple oil change. My tire was half flat from a nail a picked up from there disgusting property. He didnt feel bad about the likenesses that it happened there or my tire could have blown out on the hwy. I could have been extremely hurt & hes telling me even if it did happen there he isnt reliable.

Came for a weird noise that I heard when I turn the steering wheel. I asked the mechanic if he could take a quick listen and tell me what it could be, and all I received a dismisal and some shoulder shrugs Sorry I am done for the day40 minutes before closing.This guy reminded me why I need to take my car to a dealership rather than a place like this.

As someone who drives 9 months a year, I have worked with a multitude of mechanics. Carmon at Xpress Automotive has been one my best mechanic experiences. Needed my van looked at for some check lights that were on my dash. Although there were cars before mine he was able to diagnose my issues quickly. I felt very comfortable and he was extremely detailed in his analysis of the vehicle. His prices are fair and cares about costumer service. I have been coming here for a long time and Cameron has always taken the time to explain what I needed done I have priced checked him a few times just to make sure I was getting a good deal he wasnt always the cheapest but always competitive and I like the way they work. Theyll diagnose your car and give you the most reasonable price to fix it properly using reliable parts. I can trust these guys work and their words. Have had my vehicle inspected here twice. They were quick and efficient, but the child of a guy talked to me like I was an idiot for not seeing my insurance card on my dashboard. Mistakes happen, and I really wanted to give 5 stars because the guy who seems to head the whole operation was nice. They dont seem to like being questioned about anything, judging from my experience and looking at other reviews.

I had a very good experience with this shop. They were friendly, helpful, and did great work. Ive gone to other shops in the area that I was not impressed with, but I will definitely be returning to this shop next time I need work done on my car.

They were nice the first time I went here, but my second experience was totally different. I had them put a new radiator in my car and the next day I had issues with coolant leaking from my car. I brought it back and the mechanic didnt want to listen to my issues with how they did and dismissed me from his shop. They damaged the sensor of the radiator and I am to blame because I want to just be talked to with respect. Customer service is very poor here and horrible job as mechanic and owner.

These guys were the mechanics who found what was wrong with my truck and fixed the bootleg corosion leading to my engine light being on.I called them at 3 and they had my truck fixed by 4:30PM on Saturday. I was just hoping they could get me in on Sunday. They charged me only $20.This is by far the best repair service Ive seen in Dallas.

It was the worst experience Ive had with an oil change, they were rude the guy actually bumped into me when I ask if I could go ahead and pay him, I was there over an hour waiting for them and asked about my car and the guy was high as hell said oh yeah I forgot, he said the other guy went to the bathroom but in fact he had been sitting in his car. When I got there they had been smoking pot you could smell it very strong. They didnt reset my light and it kept coming in until I had to go get it reset somewhere else.

Recently check-in engine light popped up on my 2012 Sonata, I came to this service and instead of charging me as much as possible (as I believe most services will do), they suggested me to change fuel tank cap, because that might be a thing that causes a problem. After I did it light has gone, and they never charged me, even though they spent some time to figure out what is the problem.Yesterday I came to them again, because my engine doesnt start. They figured out that its a starter. In 4 hours problem was solved.From my previous experience at other services I can say that they charge you reasonable fees, and they dont want you to spend extra money. Reliable guys, great service. Definitely recommended.

Well I was there a week ago for an oil change, I was somewhat hesitant since I always get my oil changed at Take 5 on N. Central expressway and Forest Ln... But I still went there. I felt a difference when driving my vehicle like my car was hesitant to drive at a speeds of 55 mph. I just never had an issue with my car like that before. So me not knowing anything about cars decided to go back to Take 5 so that they could take a look at my car since they also do that for free. They discovered that these guys never even changed the filter as the old one was still there with the Take 5 team member’s initials!!! What a freaking scam! They charged 25 bucks for nothing! The guy that pointed it out asked me if I had the receipt or number to xress automotive and I said yes, he even said he would ask if I could get warranty on that “oil change” that actually never took place. When he called, Carmon answered and this other guy explained that I had gone into their shop and asked if I could get my filter changed. Carmon said that he wasn’t going to give warranty on a “$20 oil change and that you get what you pay for” (Carmon it was $25!) and hung up on him. One team member at Take 5 his name Jason, felt really bad for the bad work done by these guys and gave me a huge discount and he also apologized for the bad experience at this mom n dad shop. Someone there also said that he has heard negative comments about this shop these guys are not even worth one star. And those of you getting oul changes here, I suggest you go to a different shop and ask if your filter has been changed. No honesty here! Worst customer service and definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND! Unless you want to get ripped off... All the positive comments are from girls too! (bc they don’t know anything about vehicles.

Excellent Service. Got in reck and was quote 1000 and something by insurance. Geico would not pay and Carmen only charged us 500. He did amazing.Even got the dent by my tire out and he is not a collision shop. They also did my brakes a while back and they work great. Aired my tires up for free too. The man that was changing my oil accidentally spilled a good bit of oil all over the engine and front of the car. I patiently waited for them to clean it all up as best they could, but I asked to check the oil level myself before leaving just to make sure they hadnt accidentally overfilled it. When I asked this, the manager told me that I should just wait in the waiting room next time instead of watching what they were doing to my car. When I told him why I was watching and wanted to check the oil level, he took it as a personal insult and asked me if Id ever seen an oil change before. I laughed at that, and that sent him over the edge. He was angry without reason, and very belittling. He told me that they didnt need my business, but then still asked me to pay. I told him that I wasnt trying to get out of paying, and gladly gave them my $25 and informed them I wouldnt be back.

Be warned. Carmen does not warranty his as work and their workmanship has gone downhill fast. I have taken my vehicle here since i purchased it two years ago. I was surprised to get it back recently with the interior a complete mess after having a few exterior scratches repaired, but decided i could deal with it. After being in an accident i took it back to xpress again. Carmen told me he would let me know when he found a light for the suv. I didnt mind waiting and i didnt mind the light being used. I had no idea i needed to specify the light should work. I returned the vehicle minutes after i left and he told me it worked and not to worry about it. Long story short, the brake lights work, the running lights do not and the signal works every so often. In addition, the paint job has bubbled in several places and the trim around the wheel wells is in worse a shape than when i dropped the car off (verified by pictures from the insurance company). In addition, he asked me to pay in cash, which i did, gave me someone elses receipt and has not been willing to give me a proper one or answer my questions about what was repaired. I gave him a full quote from my adjuster and have my doubts about several things that were supposed to be repaired, based on feedback from the dealership who fixed the recalls on my vehicle the day after i picked it up from xpress.To top it off, carmen reported my vehicle as being in for repairs, which is fine, but he more than doubled the mileage on the car which is a resale issue.When i asked him to repair the obvious mistakes he went off in texts and very clearly stated that they do not warranty their work and that i should have never expected a working light. My last light worked fine, but the lens was cracked. I told him i do not think that is acceptable practice or reasonable to think a customer would know this and he said i should sue him because he wasnt going to correct any of their mistakes. I made it clear that was not what i wanted to do and asked him to please correct these things. Again he told me to sue him. I guess he will get what he wants, but what a terrible way to run a business.As for being like family, as long as you dont mind the family member who lies often, yells at everyone, and doesnt do as he promised, you will feel right at home. Everytime i have been here carmen has been yelling at someone and there was a delay in getting my vehicle repaired because he had a fight with the place where he was painting cars. I should have recognized the red flags.
