We had a good experience with Thrifty so I thought I would post my review since so many of them online are negative. We did not have to wait for our car or to be attended at the desk, all and all the whole process took 20 minutes or less for us(I did in the parking lot however see other customers waiting for their car both when we left with ours and when we returned). All the employees were friendly and very competent. We booked at the last minute through the Thrifty website and it was not cheap, but nearly all the other rental companies were sold out for the day we were arriving so I assume this price reflected the demand. We added third party liability and the cashless toll system which added to our final price, but we were not forced to add any insurance we didn’t want. The car was clean, ran well, and we didn’t have any surprises upon return.

Vacations is super better when you rent a car love it

The price you get online does not match what you get at the counter. They add on extra taxes and fees that they don’t list online, which is how they get their price lower than all the other airport rentals. They add insurance fees even if you tell them not to. They also close early - not 24hrs! If your flight is late they might be closed and you’re out of luck.

Don’t rent from this rental company prices are terrible it’s not the same online and all the hidden fees you know nothing about I paid 683 for a rental for 5 days and 200 dollar deposit for small Hyundai venue

Do not rent from thrifty car rental! The car rental representative was unprofessional extremely rude and the quote I got when I reserved the car was not the same! So much more expensive! I would give 0 stars but I can’t! Car renter beware!!!

Horrible experience while we rented a car at Thrifty @ Puerto Rico airport. Waited in line for a long time (They were taking about 20-30 mins to process single customer). The agent did not show courtesy while looking up our reservation and did not care to answer the questions we had. We visited Puerto Rico for the first time and had a horrible experience right after we landed on the island.

Make a reservation wait on line to find out they dont have the car we reserved. Stay home losers.

Bad experience the price is not the same in the end they take a deposit after they tell you that part of the deposit is the price of the car, it is really very unpleasant.

My experience as a resident at PUR was quite good. Pros: Good price, fairly easy check-out and check-in, good face-to-face and telephone service. Cons: They are located inside the airport parking lot, therefore; If you go in another vehicle to look for the rented one (you have to pay the rate) and pick up the vehicle is not fast. It took me about 30-40mins. Expedia stock SUV model read Suzuki Jinmy and they gave me a nearly new Kia Soul.
