I only gave one star because I can’t post without a star but I can’t give any stars for this car rental place I booked my car online arrived to Puerto Rico and called for the shuttle to pick me up and the lady on the phone told me my car was cancelled because I arrived an hour late, mine you I arrived on time but was unaware of the hour time difference in PR so She goes on to tell me that they have no other cars and that there wasn’t anything else available and began to laugh at me when I asked what was I to do. So I asked her if she had another reservation my family that has not landed yet and she explained as long as they get here on time. We arrived to the rental and there were several customers in there arguing with the same rude lady over charging and charges that were added at the end of their trip. My family got their rental and it was infested with cockroaches and they didn’t want to give them another car. It was horrible experience to rent from them and they are under the name of Cabrera car rental we rented from economy car rental online. Horrible please please save your headache and go some where else nasty and rude lady horrible customer service

Absolutely thievery. This is not Economy it is Cabrera and they will lie and lie about fees insurance requirements and your vehicle. Woman is rude and biased against non Spanish-speaking people. Contracts are in Spanish and full of hidden fees. My expedia reservation was for $89 including taxes and fees, I left paying over $300 and still havent gotten my $500 deposit back.Please go elsewhere

I had a great experience renting through Economy. They were available by shuttle for pick up and drop off to the airport. The price was very reasonable, the vehicle was nice and clean and the way they charge tolls and deposit were also acceptable. I called ahead and asked questions before my arrival so I was prepared as were they. Very polite and friendly staff.

Had an issue with 1 car, they offered us a upgrade, turns out it was an extra $250+ for the same size clown car. Took a long time to check out and get us to the airport. They are not located in the airport. The building is dirty, old and run down. Only 1 staff member available to help the 3 customers in the lobby and answer the phone, and she was in no hurry. Carried our own bags from the front of the building down a tight drive way to put them in the shuttle. Wish we would have payed a little extra up front and know what we were going to get from a known company.

I am giving them 4 stars because I was not picked up at the airport as expected but there were two factors that played a big role in this issue.1-Priceline did not forward the information2- Their phone system was downThe ladies at the counter were friendly and very understanding about us being upset about the issue and besides the rant about paying a cab to get to the place they were helpful and diligent to process the paperwork.Offered information about places to go in COVID 19s time and advise on what food we must try while in the Island.Car was a clean 2019 Hyundai with a full tank but smelled like dirty feet but we got rid of it with a $3 car scent spray.We will rent again with them!

Price was extremely low (we figured because of the COVID-19 pandemic) but, then ended up having to pay $500 deductible towards our insurance (which is what by right we chose to use) over some minor damage on the rear fender which I believe was there when we got the vehicle. We did not have any “incident” and never noticed any damage from parking at shopping centers or at place we stayed (it was barely visible). Nonetheless, to avoid being charged an extra $500 (for a total of $1,000) we had to scramble to the closest police station to file a complaint... almost missed our flight and did not spoil a short sacrificial trip to care for our elderly parents only because we won’t let it. One things for sure, we will NEVER use them again and we advise anyone thinking of using them NOT TO. We truly believe we were scammed.

Terrible. They said we could pick up a car after our plane got in after 10pm (we were very careful to confirm this with them prior to making our reservation) but nobody answered after several phone call attempts once we landed. We had to pay for a cab into San Juan for a hotel when we already had reservations elsewhere on the west side of the island. When we got back to the sketchy off-campus car pickup location the next morning, they said they had given our car away. No phone call. No follow-up. Just gave our car away and cancelled our reservation. The female clerk was very surly and there did not appear to be any other employees there at all. Rent elsewhere. Period. Theres multiple other car rental agencies to choose from on the same block.

Worst rental place I have ever rented a car from. If you dont get their insurance you have to show them your declaration and the deposit is your deductible. They want to charge you for every thing and they are rude.

The young woman who worked with me lied about mandatory car insurance, saying that my current car insurance was not good enough coverage. I’m sure she is working for commissions. I speak English and she handed me paperwork in Spanish at the time to back up her statement. A co-worker stood nearby condoning this behavior.When I came to drop the car off, she gave me a receipt with insurance that cost $4 more per day than what she initially quoted me. On the final paperwork, I noticed that customers are given a chance to accept or decline coverage. Of course, I was on the plane at this point. I hate getting lied to. I do not recommend going here at all.

Beware if you make your reservation through Priceline they won’t forward your information over so they won’t contact you. We made our reservation to pick up at 7:30, and I’m the establishment was closed Even to the website stated that they are open every day til 10:00 pm.Plus they will charge you for insurance even if You bring your personal insurance ours was full cover they still bill us daily. Never again book at your own risk !!!!!

When picking up from the airport, wait for shuttle was over an hour long when told it would only take 20 minutes. Horrible service.

Called phone busy

Extremely irresponsible ... I traveled with a reservation made 3 weeks ago and since my departure from the Tampa airport I was calling, they never answered. I asked for an Uber pay $ 23 and the place closed.

If I could give it 0 star I would give it to it. ATTENTION, DO NOT FALL INTO THE ECONOMY RENT-A-CAR TRAP in Carolina, Puerto Rico.Reservations made 2 weeks in advance and they never answered the phone !!When I got a car I stopped by and they were closed !!!

When I got to the airport, I called the number they gave me and they never answered the phone. I had to rent another car right there at the airport. I never make a reservation with them again. IRRESPONSIBLE !!!
