Your typical airport Hertz. Standard check-in at the lobby and a dedicated in-garage check in for Gold Rewards members. Good selection of clean & new vehicles. No complaints there. When I wanted to change my method of payment, I tried to call the Hertz line they provided me but just kept going on an endless loop of automated responses and in Spanish, even though I selected English. Resolved this when I returned the car. Returning the car was painless, just be sure to follow the signs. However, the passageway and elevator bank leading to the terminals absolutely stank & is quite grimey...even thru my facemask. I know its not Hertzs issue as this is a common area, but is detrimental to an otherwise pleasurable experience.

Just like most car rental company, you need to worry if youll actually drive out with one. I dont understand why you have the option when youre making reservations to get insurance or decline it, if you put no and take full responsibility. Then when you arrive for pick up, they want to force you to purchase it or no car. I even have a credit card that covers the vehicle cost for damages, even if its totaled. My credit card tells me in order for that offer to take affect, I have to decline their insurance. Heres what makes this a hard pill to swallow about their insurance, it can cost you more then the rental itself or almost double the price.Yet this was not the case with both pick up and drop off locations, it was as easy as 1 2 3 with both attendants. I need to add that both attendant workers were very nice, helpful and professional. I opted to drop off the car at the airport location because I would have still needed to get a cab if I would have dropped it off at my first location in Old San Juan at the Sheraton Hotel. That charge for a different drop off location was going to be cheaper then a cab as well.Word of advice, take a video all around of the vehicle when you pick up and drop off, it may save you a headache and cash if they try to pin any damages on you. I learned this a long time ago and it helps, I do this all the times.In the end my interaction with this location was good and I recommend them.

Upon returning my rental to this location, the Hertz employee took the rental key which was attached to my personal keys out of the ignition. I didn’t notice until I was already on my plane. Now it’s been 12 days and not only is Hertz claiming that I never returned my rental, but they are also claiming they do not have my keys. It’s impossible to get in touch with this location. I either get a busy signal or it rings & they hang up. I couldn’t even reach them while I was there, I had to physically go to the location to ask them about the plate pass. Customer service is absolutely no help all they do is say to contact that location even when I explain that I CANT REACH THEM and they agreed that they can’t reach them either. This company is a JOKE!!! Also after receiving a letter stating I never returned my rental I did research & found that they falsely accuse A LOT of their customers of stealing rentals that were returned which has resulted in innocent people going to jail and losing their jobs due to this company’s negligence & rental scams they’ve got going on! I reported them to the BBB & I have yet to receive a response. It would cost me over $1,000.00 to replace my car keys that THEY TOOK FROM ME! I AM LIVID! HERTZ NEEDS TO BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS!!!

I would give this facility 10 negative stars. Not a single staff or manager in site for almost 30mins. I could’ve been halfway to my airb&b by now. Do not rent with hertz. The worst part is you can’t even get in contact with anyone on the phone because no one answers the line. I don’t know how you got two years of number one customer service with this type of service you’re giving people, very unacceptable. There’s no line or sign a person to indicate that hurts is operating at a different location in the airport or anything it’s very unprofessional here

If I could give it a zero minus rating I would. I rented 6/30/21 - 7/14/21 at the San Juan PR airport. The 1st car had approx 35,000 miles after I drove off the site the seatbelt sign went on. I thought it was a glitch but it wasn’t & when I was able to get to a safe location I connected the passenger side seatbelt hoping that would stop the light notification. But it didn’t & when I made a left turn the vehicle made a strange loud noise. I attempted to call the location but no one answered. I then called road side assistance & was advised to take the car back to the location. When I arrived at the location the female rep apologized for the hazards of the car, discounted $50.00 of the original price & upgraded to the vehicle to Intermediate. I was issued a 2nd car with approx 32,000 mile. Now visibly the car had driver front side bumper damage due to an accident and white paint plastered on the rear side of the vehicle. Now unbeknownst to me the vehicle was infested with roaches (to which I had to fumigate the vehicle twice with Raid), no windshield wiper fluid (to which is a hazard), dirty stained passenger/backseats, three times the check engine/battery light came on, rear driver side tire pressure light came on & the only good thing the car had was great AC.I have spoken to a Stephanie, Amy, Alex, Ly, Kristie from corporate & a Julio twice. Numerous Ref numbers were generated & as of yet nothing has been resolved. When I returned the car at the end of the rental agreement to a Kevin, I asked to speak to a manager. He stated that there are no manager at the site, that I am not the only customer who has complained about the roaches, that Thrifty bought the Hertz location, that I will receive an email in regards to a receipt (to which I still have not received) & advised to speak to someone at the counter. I then spoke to a Kevin. He stated that there is no manager on site, there is nothing he can do about the issues & that I had to call customer service. On 7/21 started to receive calls stating that the car hadn’t been returned. On 7/24 I received a letter in the mail stating that if I do not respond and turn in the vehicle mentioned within 10 days that a Police report will be generated for Grand Larceny Auto. I immediately called vehicle control dept & I also called customer service.Furthermore, everyday a pending charge of $72.00 is being charged to my Amex. I have tried to call the location and I can’t reach no one.. If you read the reviews, you will see that I am not the only one with the similar issues regarding this location. By far the worst experience I’ve had and continue to have with any rental company.

I made reservation more than a month ago for dates between 7/5 -7/10 for $580. Since my trip is less than a week, i went to site to review terms / requirement of reservation on June 30. Website says they cannot pull out record and called the customer service. Hertz customer service told me that the San Juan Airport location is closed since June 26 and out of the business and they said there is nothing they do for me. I did not get prior notice on the closure and why did they take a reservation knowing that they are closing the location. I cannot find out any third party information about the closing this location so i am not even sure that the corporate Hertz customer service is fully aware of what is going on . My trip is in 5 days, i am desperately looking for a car to rent which will cost me over $1,000 for 5 days if i am lucky to find one. If you booked at this location, CALLL HERTZ. FYI, i called again the same number on 7/1, they told me that the place is open. and the reservation is still good. This seems technical issue. This is very frustrating. I will update on the rental experience. I landed on July 5 around 12 Noon. I picked up a car right away since I was only customer. But, there was a long line (15-20 people) out to the door for Car Center rental Booth which includes Budget, Avis, Thrift, Dollar. Enterprise and Alamo had very short line and it seems they provided prompt service. I returned the car on 7/10 and it took less than 10 minutes.

This is one of the worst Hertz locations I have used. Firstly, they dont answer their phones (try call now; its disconnected). The reason for this is because they add fake fees like unlimited tolls, and then you get a bill from PlatePass a few weeks later even though they tell you the fee you pay covers the tolls. They also add a several other mandatory fees that arent charged by Avis or any other airport rental company there. Finally, they dont have the car class you booked and if you dont like your downgrade, they simply will tell you to book elsewhere which is usually impossible at the last minute. Avoid at all costs.

Locked my key in the trunk and was unable to contact anyone to assist me. The rental agent suggested that I look at the contract for the local emergency Roadside Service number.I explained that it was locked in the car.Totally dissatisfied with the service.

I went on vacation to Puerto Rico last month and rented a vehicle through your San Juan Airport location. Shortly after renting the vehicle, I discovered that it was infested with several species of cockroaches. Lovely. I couldnt get anyone to pick up at the local branch for the entirety of my trip; I called repeatedly, and tried each of the 8 or so extensions, and each time, my call would either get disconnected upon transfer, or the line would ring for about 5 minutes before disconnecting. I couldnt even get anyone on the phone on your emergency roadside assistance extension, which makes me wonder what I was supposed to have done if I had gotten into an accident or had an actual, debilitating emergency.When I returned the vehicle at the end of my trip, your local branch told me they couldnt help me. They tried to shove me off onto corporate. I told them that I tried to call your corporate customer service line as well, and couldnt get through there, either. They finally gave me a $100.00 credit as an apology, which is not acceptable, especially when I spent more than that trying to avoid using the vehicle.I filed a BBB complaint hoping to address this further. Your company responded and offered me $50.00, because you said I never called emergency roadside assistance. I actually did, but apparently, nobody at your joke of a company works or answers the phones. I have call logs proving that I tried to call, repeatedly, and have submitted them to the BBB. I know these were sent on to you, so why have you not responded?Furthermore, I avoided using your disgusting, unsanitary vehicle as much as possible, and used Ubers and such when I could afford to do so. HOWEVER, I had booked tours and activities. It is not reasonable to expect me to just sit in my condo and miss out on my vacation, or to continue to spend hundreds of dollars on alternate transportation when I had a working (but filthy) vehicle.Your response shows zero consideration for your customers and zero concern for the quality of services youre providing. Judging by the looks of your social media pages and your online reviews, Im not the only one whos feeling aggrieved by your deplorable customer service. Youve got enough competitors out there that I certainly have no need to ever rent through your company again. Im sure many other people are realizing that as well. Do better.

I rented a car from this location and it had roaches in it. Once I found out about the roaches drove right back to the location. You believe they charged me $41 for not refilling the gas tank from 5/8 to 3/4. Mind you I wouldnt have wasted the gas if I did not have to drive back to the location for roaches in the car. Ive been calling and calling no response. Hopefully they can fix my issue

If I could give a 0 I would. Since the moment we arrived, it has been nothing but people dodging us or not being accountable to help us out. Had a car reservation at 1130pm and they said they would accommodate us. That was yesterday... we came back in the morning 11am and still no car. It doesnt make sense to have more than two people working and one person helping out people. Their number doesnt work either. Like what kind of business is this? Clearly not a hospitality one.. This will be the last time I consider Hertz.

Do not rent from here, we spent weeks trying to settle our bill. It isnso difficult to speak with anyone being that their numbers dont work. The customer care center doesnt have access to the same syste apparently. We were over charged for a day and we returned it a different day and time. Beware they scam.

Worst Experience ever. We have been waiting for almost 3 hours to get our rental car today. Waiting in line in the rain outside no one tells you what to do. This is the worst experience ever. We should be well on our way on our vacation. I would like a response to this. A refund would be very much appreciated this has pretty much a pretty big damper on our vacation. Your motto says it all travel at the speed of hurts. Will never go to this rental company again.

Wish I could give a zero. Was helped by Alanis who insisted that I pay a lot more than was quoted. I booked and wanted to only pay the $285 that was quoted and she kept insisting that I had to pay more. I refused any extra insurance but she gave me some lie about needing to pay more in taxes etc. Finally, when I got the contract (which was $147 more than my original quote) I see that I have declined the BLP but I was charged anyway. I changed credit cards and was supposed to be refunded that day but have not still 9 days later. I called and spoke with 2 different customer service reps that said they would take care of it but they havent. Ive called several times since but it just rings and rings. No one answers. Ive rented from Hertz so many times but this experience will be my last.

Great customer service and very easy to work with. It is so convenient to just get off your plane and go straight to rent a car and when u leave its just as easy to drop it off and take a 5 min walk to the airport. Plus their selection in vehicles were great

Absolutely terrible experience renting with Hertz. Renters beware because this is not actually a Hertz location but a thrift car rental hiding under Hertz name. I booked online through Hertz and when I went to pick up my car they charged me over $300 extra in thrifty car fees despite the fact I was picking up from a Hertz location. When I got the bill I tried to call someone to discuss, but no one answers their phones. The phone will ring for a few minutes and then just hang up. I cannot even reach someone through the emergency roadside assistance line. Thank goodness we didnt get into an accident or wreck during our rental since they would not have answered the phone. This is the worst customer service I have ever received.

Worse location ever, due to my most recent experience me and family we no longer be renting with HERTZ after years of usage. After booking my rental months in advance I arrived to the location they only had one vehicle smaller then the reserved vehicle, after returning the vehicle and keys with the employee working the rental office I began to receive calls, emails and text saying that “the car had NOT been returned and I would be charged for the vehicle” after a week of calling (the customer service line because the number listed here doesn’t work) and panicking they had finally marked the car as returned here we are now another week later and the contract has yet to be closed and I am being charged over $700 for the vehicle. I have spoken to multiple customer service agents regarding this issue and each one has given the same response that “we will contact the location and inform them to close the contract” yet nothing has been done this is honestly a shame due to previously enjoying my experience with HERTZ but after this display of unprofessionalism and lack of communication it is clear that they aren’t as reliable as I had thought. you can’t reach this location directly due to unknown reasons they should honestly close this one or retrain the staff because this is beyond unacceptable.

I turned in my car in the return lane before our flight out of SJU.Someone forgot to close out our rental, so I have been getting phone calls from the Hertz Vehicle Control department for the last week at all hours of the day. They said the location was permanently closed in their system, but it appears as of now they are open again. One person told me to have Roadside Assistance go to the airport to see if they could find the car. Roadside Assistance said that was crazy.Since the local number wasnt ringing, I had to call the national numbers. I tried Vehicle Control, regular customer service, and even a number for executive relations. It took at least half hour to reach a representative most times I called. Three separate people assured me the rental would be closed over the last week, and it was finally closed today, nine days later.TAKE A PICTURE OF YOUR CAR WHEN YOU DROP IT OFF, even if they give you a receipt. If they had kept up with this our records indicate you have not returned your car I would have had no leg to stand on to protect myself from possible prosecution for theft.

I had a reservation for June 30. Got to airport to find out location was closed. Workers protesting they were layer off. Reached out to hertz they didnt know what was going on. After talking to numerous reps nothing was left stranded in the airport with a family of 6. I will seek legal representation since I have yet to be contacted from hertz

Customers be aware! Hertz car rental in San Juan, PR. And the employees especially, a woman by the name of Alanis are very dishonest. They are to steal your money and mislead you with false information regarding local fees. I’ve made reservations 8/13/2021-8/20/2021 prior to my trip for a midsize vehicle; in it included prepaid fuel and no insurance. Upon arrival, Alanis initially offered me a small compact vehicle that I couldn’t fit my luggage. I requested that she honored my reservation and she made me wait over 30 minutes for another small vehicle and never gave me the midsize. Furthermore, she asked me to sign the rental agreement through a small Covid barrier window stating that in the agreement would be the prepaid fuel. After I received the copy of the agreement, the rental included insurance, Liability, roadside assistance and tolls, but never the prepaid gas. The bill increased to a total of $152.00 of hidden fees plus an additional $200.00 for deposit. After I departed the airport I experienced a flat tire. I tried to call Hertz in San Juan, and someone kept hanging up the phone and never answered to render information or assistance. I opted to reach out to Thrifty rental car and my only option was to swap the car at the airport 2plus hours away from San Juan. Bottom line: horrible experience, that woman should be fired and people should be aware of the bad service provided by Hertz and its employees.

Rented car from hertz at airport. Had a reservation pick up at 12:45, waited in line for about 20 minutes before i got to the actual counter. It is now 1:00pm and the man tells me my reservation was canceled at 12. How do you pick up a rental when your still on the airplane at 12:00. I had been charged a deposit fee or a hold for $500 since i was paying with a visa debit card and not $200 if i had a credit card. Car was returned 1/2 hour early on june 25th and i still have not had my deposit returned to me yet.

It was a little difficult to find their office in the garage due to no signage but everything went smoothly. Good rates. The car has been previously damaged so I had to take pictures in the garage before I left. Glad I did because they did not review damage before they let us leave.

Beware , this location is ran by thrifty . I booked a rental and tried to confirm at their location but the phone doesn’t ring , looked up the reviews and blessed . Had rented from thrifty before and my brand new cell was stolen by employee after I dropped it off without me even leaving the lot , went to check in the car and was missing . Bunch of thieves , don’t rent from these thieves .

Terrible terrible... no one at the kiosk when i pickwd up the vehicle. I had to wait 4 1/2 hrs for them to open.. Dirty/stained seats In a new vehicle. Low Air pressure AND maintenance due lights for the entire two week $1500 rental. I will never rent from Hertz again.

They stole almost $1000 from me. I used points for a free rental this location is independently owned and didnt honor the free rental. Hertz did take all of my award points though.I had no idea that it wasnt going to be honored until a week later when they billed my card.They kept my points and changed me full price.Thats ok, youre thieves, we all have things that we are capable of. I hate a thief, im rhe wrong one to steal from hertz! . Ill be back in San Juan.

Reserved car for 9 am. It won’t be ready for another hour at least. No effort was made to update me on my reservation. The attendent behind the desk literally stopped interacting with me when she found out the car wasn’t ready. I had to ask to know what was happening and she brushed me off when I did.I understand sometimes things are not in control of the rental car agency. This is a unnecessarily frustrating experience because no effort was made to find a solution to this other than, “well, go to another rental car company if you want a car sooner.”I received the car an hour later.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Our flight got delayed, I called like 10 times to let them know and no one picked up. I had made a reservation over a month ago.. I get to Hertz and they had no cars available whatsoever so I had to pay double and rent from somewhere else but at least I got a car. The frustration was real!!

Horrible customer service , we waited 45min. For our rental after they charged our card. We were told to not worry about replacing all the gas due to the inconvenience of our long waiting period for our car but we were charged $70. Supervisor GUZMAN has an attitude problem and can careless what a paying customer has to say rude and very dismissive. Calling customer service is a joke they dont answer it just rings 3 times and the phone hangs up. STAY AWAY FROM HERTZ PUERTO RICO UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS. Due to this hertz and thrifty car rental we will never rent from this business again and iWill pass theword along.I gave you one star only because I had to put a rating to post this if I could I would give you ZERO stars.

Offices are closed and car reservations are cancelled. I found out when I called to ensure that the office would be opened during a late arrival. Extremely disappointed with my experience.. I had a pre existing reservation done through Expedia two months in advance as I traveled to Puerto Rico with two young daughters.. upon arrival to car rental counter.. was told that no cars were available and it was a first come first served basis.. and my reservation didn’t matter.. I asked for a supervisor and was advised one wasn’t available.. this left me in a super bad position.. and basically ruined my travel plans for a vehicle while I was on the island..

If only there was a ZERO star to choose from...Reserved a rental car for the San Juan location months in advance. Get there to pick up our car after our flight landed and guess what?? We are told there are NO cars. Zero. Even though we had a reservation for one. The lady was sleeping when we walked up. Had to wake her for service only to be told they gave our car away. Why even make a reservation if they dont actually keep a car for their reservations?!?

This is so far the worst experience. Maybe because they sold their operation at SJU airport. I waited two hours because they fired all employees and didnt consider thhier customers establishing a transition period that would not hurt their customers. Now I am having issues with the car I was given, the engine is shutting down while running twice in the middle ofbthe highway. I cannot establish communication with the local Hertz or the 800 number. This again isbtje worst experience renting vehicles. I definitely will never ever again use Hertz anywhere.

This would be a 0 star review if Google would allow it. We rented an SUV through the Hertz rental agency in the San Juan Airport on June 26th. We had no issues getting or using the vehicle, the problem began after we turned the vehicle in.On July 3rd we pulled into the hertz rental return lane in the San Juan Airport parking garage. We exited the vehicle, an employee checked the vehicle and confirmed the gas tank was full. He said everything looked good and advised we didnt need any paperwork and that we were good to go.On July 5th my wife was checking the credit card to see what the final total for the rental was and noticed that there was a charge on July 4th and 5th for $138. I received the first voicemail on July 6th stating that my rental vehicle was severely overdue. To date (July 13th) I have received about 30 of those voice messages along with one letter in the mail. We have also made multiple calls to Hertz who said that the closeout ticket wasnt sent in and guaranteed they would send a closeout ticket in and not to worry about those charges.Well after multiple phone calls, emails and social media posts the problem still hasnt been fixed we are still being charged for a car that we turned in on time. We have also found out that the Hertz location in the airport is closed so all the closeout tickets they keep sending are going to dead emails. When talking to Hertz they arent even aware that the location is closed.Their customer service has been horrible and by all means avoid renting a vehicle from them, they dont care about their customers.

Waiting at the airport for more than 30 min to be picked up, but the shuttle never showed up. Then, when trying to call their phone number several times, a recording picks up but it hangs up automatically. No wonder Hertz is going bankrupt.

It’s impossible to get into contact with this company! I rented out a jeep from 7/13/21-7/24/21 and have yet to get my deposit back! The company says I need to get into contact with this site because it is out of their hands! But how am I suppose to get into contact with the site if they don’t even answer any calls! This is terrible service on their part!

Im currently driving around a ROACH-INFESTED car that you guys rented to me, and I cant get anyone to pick up at the local branch at all. This is beyond disgusting and the fact that I cant talk to anyone and my call keeps getting disconnected is ridiculous! I will never rent from you again!

If I could give this a negative review I would. I came in on a very late flight, and went to get my car. At the time ticket window was closed but I used the email confirmation they sent me to locate the car. I drove to the gate to get out and the security guard said I cant leave if I cant prove I talked to someone. I showed him the confirmation email and he said no u need a print out. I said u have a machine where u can look it up.. he said no get on from someone inside or I couldnt leave. At this point I demanded to speak to his supervisor because it was 1 am. He called someone who said he was the supervisor and he told me it was nothing he could do and I had to come back in the morning. Then he LIED and said because they were under a curfew they could release the car that late. He claimed thats what the Hertz manager told him. I went back into the rental place and was able to get a car without any issues from National. They dont EVER have to worry about getting my business again!

My wife and I rented a car there and the service itself (in person) was ok but to call was terrible. Absolutely not reliable when calling and nobody answers the call. Phone rings and after about ringing 8 times, it hangs up. You have to go there in person in order to get service. Not doing hertz at the airport no more!

I had a reservation for a mid sized SUV with Hertz at San Juan airport, that should fit 5 adults and 5 suitcases per the description. When i arrived at San Juan I was told I received a free upgrade, to which I was pleasantly surprised, but then disappointed when I discovered the upgrade was to a ford tauras, a sedan vehicle. After paying close to $900 for a reservation I was not downgrading. I of course rejected this upgrade since it would not fit my 3 children and 4 suitcases (also the Hertz rep told me my suitcases were large, and that if i had normal sized suitcases I could fit them all into the ford Tauras!!! Obviously if Jet blue accepts these suitcases as normal then so should Hertz). TThen I was told that an SUV was not available. I noted there were a few SUVs in the Hertz lot, but when I pointed them out I was told that as I had ordered through Chase, which uses Expedia, my booking was only a reservation and not a rental, whereas the SUVS I could see were already reserved as they were rented through Hertz! I called Chase who tried to get someone from Hertz on the phone, after an hour and a half delay, with my 3 children losing it by this point the Chase representative could not get anyone from Hertz to answer. Chase were also filing a complaint with Hertz over this treatment. After i got off the phone, the Hertz representative said the Nissan Pathfinder i could see in the lot was available for another $175 per day if i wanted to pay. As they had no car for me i was flabbergasted with this treatment that they didnt just let me take the car. After 2.5+ hours waiting around someone returned a Hyundai Tucson which we decided we would take rather than cancel our reservation and haul our kids around looking for another car at another vendor. To top it off, we filled up gas the morning of the return and drove 10 miles to the airport, and after the return i was charged $23 for gas as it was not returned full.I originally booked through Hertz on the Chase website as i did not want to take a chance with an offbrand company. Honestly I will not be booking with Hertz again and will be happy to provide my reviews online to steer people away from experiencing something similar.

First off...the car rental area at the airport is a cluster. We waited in line for a hour before I discovered that the Hertz is in the garage area. Then we proceeded to wait another 75 mins for our car to be cleaned & brought up. It was pretty hellish...oh well.

I reserved a car online. Hertz staff informed me that they do not have any cars when I arrived. They said they will call me when they have cars available (I did not receive any calls yet after two days). Do not rely on your online reservation.

Great experience renting here. No issues with additional insurance etc (although I use coverage from my credit card) and same ease/experience as Gold counter in mainland US. Car received was exactly as booked, and in great condition. Would rent again when in PR.

Vehicle was very good. When we arrived to airport to pick it up we waited in line for 3 and a half hours before it was our turn for the attendant to take our information to get the vehicle. Only one attendant available and it was taking too much time per customer.... Just complete chaos... I reserved with Hertz expecting better service... Next time you should have a separate line for those customers without reservations...

I rented a car during this period 22-24 May, what mess at this rental facility. Upon returning the car only one person receiving cars and was unable to provide a close out bill. She indicated that within an hour I was going to received my close out bill at my email address, NEVER happen. She stated that they didn’t have hand held devices to receive and process returning cars.

Easiest car rental EVER! The exact car I wanted was ready when I arrived in San Juan, it literally took 15 minutes to sign the paperwork, walk to the car and drive away. I waited longer for my luggage!! Super friendly staff, fluent in English and Spanish. There were NO PROBLEMS! Returning was just as easy and trouble free. Love Hertz San Juan! Do yourself a favor!!

The worst experience in my life. I was yelled at by the ghetto manager, because I refused to pay almost $1k in fees that where waved by the own company. The personal working here is useless and don’t care about costumer service, just randomly charging money. After ***4hrs*** of arguing, they found out I actually didn’t have to pay that amount of money, so fortunately I wasn’t a victim of their irresponsibility this time.

Rented our rental from San Juan Airport 08/14-08/21/20. They explained to us that we would have 8 days of toll usage at 5.95 a day which would come out to $47.60. Not only did they charge that amount plus tolls which my bill was $79.00. When each toll is .70 each. We only used 31.90 worth of tolls. They double dipped and only credit me $23.80 which I should have been credited for the full amount of $31.90. I cant believe a company would do this to their customers! The worst apart they took the money out of my account with no explanation and to get answers was a run around to finally get a copy of the invoice. So unprofessional and stealing from customers.

It was very easy to speak to an Alamo representative on the phone to make a reservation. The representative in charge was very affable, and willing to answer my questions. The staff at the airport counter and the pickup area were also topnotch. The car pickup was smooth and fast. Rental prices are excellent. I am very pleased with the service. I went on September 19 with a Priceline reservation the gentleman in the car rental told me he couldn’t find the reservation thru Priceline and he make me a deal more cheap ended up doble charging me for a insurance I didn’t ask and he ended up using the reservation. So sad to said they made fraude with me and I ended up paying $1,100.00 dollar for a reservation that supposed to be $615.00 with insurance included. Good to said Puerto Rico lo hace mejor to foul people 😡😡😡

Im not a big fan of giving out one stars because I am a small business owner and I know how difficult it can be on a day to day basis. But, I cant help but to give these guys one star. Absolutely horrible. Poor signage, unhappy workers, long wait and a filthy car. So we get to the airport, grab our bags, and head over to Hertz. Because of bad signage, and a lack of workers to help, we get in the wrong line. After waiting in line for about 20 minutes, we are told to go inside and wait on another line. We do. And after finally checking in and advised to wait for a few minutes for the someone to call us, we wait. And wait. And wait for a total of 45 additional minutes. Another family is called up, who checked in after us, after they didnt like the size of their trunk and proceeded to get another car. Was our car ready? Why did this family jump in front of us? After they received their new car, we went back up to the worker. Obviously upset and totally exhausted, we pleaded for our car. Yes, we received it. No we didnt get a proper apology. And yes the cars exterior was filthy! No thanks Hertz. No thanks!!!

Zero stars. Precooked a car through Hertz. When we tried to pick it up at the airport they told us they were overbooked and long hauled us via shuttle to a place called Nu. It took us OVER an hour to get a car and they didn’t honor precooked prices and true to up charge fees. They talked about us in Spanish while we were standing there. Didn’t think we could understand. Awful experience. Is this how you treat repeat AAA customers?

So far Im not impressed.For some reason the attendant had believed that my reservation was for 3.5 hours after my pickup time, which I had confirmed both with the customer support number and my online reservation details.I will say that it was my fault for having to return a second time due to me forgetting my ID, but the part that frustrates me about returning is the fact that I had to wait in line because (still) the attendant doesnt see my reservation time set for earlier.Easy 2 stars.

I gave them a 4 only be because the line when I got to the airport, had a extremely high volume of people. My reservation was at 2:00 I stood in line for about 2 hours. Otherwise the car was brand new and I deal for my family. I used the ez pass too through the tolls because you dont have to pay. I also purchased the gas so that I didnt have to replace the gas. That was a convenient thing too. It was easy to drop off and cool.

Terrible customer service. My mother in law got us our rental car as part of our wedding present and accidentally put the wrong time. Which actually meant we needed the car even less than what she paid for but hertz refused to help us. They told us if we do not arrive within 2 hours of our time they may give the car away. They also allowed us to book our car for 1015pm but only stayed open until 4 pm. We ending up having to cancel after spending literal hours on the phone with them multiple times. Their only solution was to charge us $600 more to use their car one less day. We booked our second car through Avis, they actually gave us good customer service.

Car rental went smoothly. I left an item in the car that was very valuable. Called two days later when I realized and was able to get in contact with a manager. The item was at the airport and they held on to it until my flight a few days later at which time I got it from the airport. Very helpful!
