Came in today to see if I could recover the tracking number on a package I sent out since I had misplaced the receipt and the company I mailed a return to claimed they never received it. The gentleman with tattoos spent 15 minutes searching for it on the system and in the end was able to find the number for me. He was very thoughtful and patient throughout the entire process and made my day by making sure it was found and I was taken care of. This entire experience left me feeling so grateful for his service and relieved that I’d receive a full refund on the $90 dress I had sent out and it wasn’t money lost. He deserves to be recognized

Worst post office in America, and only because of the people. These employees are the most disrespectful, dishonest and illiterate bunch Ive ever dealt with in a so called professional setting. And they love to hide behind a phone, that they almost never answer. You would have better luck rerouting your mail though China than to have these people touch your envelopes. The thriving metropolis of Carol Stream should convert this building to a public toilet. Stay away. Stay far, far away.

There is noway to talk to someone about my package and Im getting really frustrated because there is over 100 dollars worth of merchandise just sitting there! I ordered a package that was supposed to be here on the 8th and now it has been delayed indefinitely. It was all going on time until it arrived here. Good luck if you lost a package. I got an auto response to my Aug 24th and thats it. I called to follow up and I was told off on Sept 2nd by Rhonda why I waited 10 days before calling, I called before that but gets busy signal. I end up calling a few more times and speaking to Rhonda again. I was assured by her on my call on the 10th that I should get an answer 24-48, which I did not get a response. I spoke to her again on 15th of which she insisted that all the information is online if I enter my tracking number. Well, Rhonda, the interface is different for employee vs customer when you go on the website.

Went in to complete the passport forms for my son at this location. You make an appointment not sure for what purpose. They tell you go to wait in a corner, no other explanation. Then you’ll get called when they’re ready. Employees were either NOT wearing masks or not wearing them properly. Unacceptable. You can do whatever you’d like in the back but should not be allowed to come up to the front without a mask, continue talking to your coworkers, and then put your mask on nonchalantly. The employee completing our application for us was talking to her coworker next to her most of the time. Unacceptable. Do better USPS. This is not how customer service works. The whole place needs to be retrained.

My package has been at the facility for over two months and I have called them dozens of times. Every time I call them it continues ringing until you get the busy signal. I havent been able to speak to a representative about my package whatsoever and there is 90 dollars worth of stuff supposedly sitting at their facility and not being delivered to me. Very annoyed.

It was a long wait but the ladies on Monday of 3-22-21 about 3pm where amazing! They where able to help me and not give off an attitude like other post offices. They had bubbly attitudes which I loved! Made the visit so much nicer all together!

The worse! I turned in my passport application 3 months before my vacation date, I even paid extra to expedite it just to be on the safe side. This post office employees took forever to send in my application causing me to lose out on flight and hotel, no refund because I don’t have my passport. They are rude, always upset and roll their eyes when you don’t know something. Absolutely furious on the service here. You need to do better otherwise look for another job.

Had a very poor experience recently at the post office. Both of the clerks were rude and unprofessional. I rarely go into the post office but I had to ship back a return and the box was kind of long so I couldnt use the self checkout kiosk.I waited in line and when I got up to the 1st clerk she asked me where the address was. I had the to address pulled up on my phone and had planned to just tell the clerk so she could print the label.When I communicated this to the clerks she responded dramatically, stating I have to have the to/from already written down and for me to hand write them on the box.I thought this request was strange. How come in 2021 I have to physically write my addresses on the box? What was the point of this?Wishing to save time and headache I simply did as she requested. I didnt want to write my address on a box I was shipping but I did it so I could get some service.When I went over to where the pens were, to write my addresses on the box I of course lost my place in line as the clerk immediately took on the next customer.After writing my to/from address on the box I waited in line again.When I got to the front of the line, clerk 1 was busy but clerk 2 was writing stuff down and messing with boxes in front of her. Eventually she looked up and waved me over.I got up to the counter and didnt say much. After a short period of time, I saw she printed a label. I was somewhat shocked by this given all that has taken place so far but assumed a label wouldve been printed at some point.Shortly after clerk 2 prints the label, I simply ask can I see the label to confirm the address. A simple request but when I asked she seemed surprised and reluctant to show me. Eventually she flips the box around.It was still fairly hard to see the address but I simply say Oh, so you can print the label. She responds with a stern Sir, youre supposed to already have that on there.I had already spent more time than I cared to at the post office and didnt want to deal with these ladies anymore so I just grumbled and proceeded to pay for the miraculously printed label I had just recieved.Later I filed a complaint stating how ridiculous it was that I had to physically write addresses on the box in order to ship it and also commented on the rude unprofessional behavior of both clerks.To be honest, I could tell as soon as I walked into the post office and saw these clerks that they were unprofessional.There wasnt too many people at the PO but they were moving so slow and just had a little too much of a laid back dont care attitude.One of the clerks was wearing a mask that said Quarantine and Chill...Anyway after filing the complaint, which I had requested a follow-up call for, I recieved an email instead.In the email I was told that the post office has been having errors with their labels and that is why I had to write my addresses on the box and apologized for the inconvenience...Sure, writing on a box is an inconvenience but that was not the issue here. The lack of professionalism and rude behavior is what the issue was here.If USPS for whatever reason is unable to print legible labels and you need the customer to make accommodations for USPSs inability to ship packages, there is a way to ask and request a customer to do so.Being demanding like these 2 clerks were and telling me I was supposed to already have this done and know about there problems already was absurd.USPS, you cant treat people like that. If youre having operational problems those are on you to solve. Im fine making accommodations for you if youre unable to rectify the situation yourself but learn how to respectfully request for those accommodations not demand and demean as youre doing it.Overall Im not impressed by the service provided at this location. Your clerks need some training on how to serve customers and I think some new management would be helpful as well because obviously whoever is managing them now isnt doing that great of a job. Over three weeks ago our letter carrier drove her vehicle over our trash cans. While backing up to dislodge them from under her front bumper she backed into our mailbox and bent the post. Dont ship with USPS!!! On January 25th I dropped off a parcel to be shipped only 37 miles away(eBay shipment) I paid for priority shipping, I checked the tracking the tracking the next day it said it was in transit. Two days later it said the same thing. It said the same thing for a week! No more scans had been done since the 25th. Long story short, the package sat in Carol Stream until the 4th of February! The buyer didnt get the package until the 8th of February! I will never ship with the USPS ever again!

To Whom it may Concern:The staff is the most patient, considerate, knowledgeable, hard working group I have ever seen. I used to do mail runs at the Sears Tower/Willis Tower for a messenger company and I assisted in doing mid-day mail runs. I was overwhelmed and shocked of the amount of patience that was needed to deliver each and every package and the attention to detail that was needed to deliver the most important time sensitive parcels. The staff at the Carol Stream front desk is to be commended for all of their hard work and patience. I do understand because of the pandemic crisis deliveries can be their hardest. I have had multiple shipments come through the Carol Stream facility and be held up for excess of a week with no update in its status. Currently as of 11/12/2020 I have a part that has been at this facility since 11/04/2020 and has not been delivered. The part is for a customer who is now upset with me because his machine is not repaired. Any privately owned business would go under with this kind of service.

Was suppose to receive a package 10/24 and they didn’t even knock on the door or drop it off. They left a note stating it can be picked up with no explanation as to why they didn’t deliver it. I’m a stay home mom so I’m always home and not even a knock on the door. Which I thought was pure laziness on the drivers part. I then rescheduled to get it delivered the 29th and it didn’t show. Calling the place is the worst part about it all! They don’t answer their phones and when they do they’re no help. The lady told me she’d call me back and never did, I had to call again and again. They didn’t even know where my package was, totally unorganized. They finally found it today and it wasn’t even sent out even though I was told it was in transit. Now we have to go pick it up Saturday and I’m hoping they have it there like they say it is. This is the worst USPS I’ve ever experienced.

I was supposed to receive a letter from my 6 year old son who is spending time with family in FL. I got a preview of what the mail would be before it came but it didn’t come that day. The next day it from the post office looking like it had been opened. I’m pretty sure it’s a federal offense to open some one’s mail. The people who work behind the desk, especially an older black lady, are rude and unhelpful. I try to avoid going there when possible. They say that the postal service is in trouble. With “service” like this, there’s no wonder why.

I have come here several times. I really like the staff here and they always seem to treat me with respect. I had to send several things out of the country and wasn’t sure how to go about it or how to make it as cheap as possible and they REALLY helped me out and took the time to explain everything. I have a post office closer to me but I had problem after problem with them so I’d rather drive all the way to this location because I trust them more.

If I could give this zero stars, I would. Nobody ever answers the phones. There is no contact information for anyone at this location. Mail takes forever getting through their warehouse.I have a package that was accepted over a week ago and was supposed to be delivered 6 days ago and still has not even processed through carol stream. Ive tried going into the location and they are less than helpful since the processing area is separate from the main office.I dont understand how a government owned and run property is so incompetent in their assigned job when most other locations seem to have a pretty good understanding of how to process mail.

Carol Stream is a main distribution hub. The service at the front desk is lackadaisical to say the least. I was 2nd in line and waited 20 min before getting served. For a main hub, and the only office in Carol Stream...GET MORE HELP at the front customer service desk, or if people in line waiting, get existing personnel to come up front and help. Always have to wait. The CSRs move at a snails pace.

I shipped 11 parcel select packages at the start of August. All showed to be in transit, arriving late for 3 weeks. The postal system is causing huge problems for me with my ebay store. I have people demanding refunds. USPS has finally let my packages through this distribution center after 3 weeks! USPS has become worthless with their parcel select service. You took my money and ripped me off with extremely subpar service.

Always a huge line and only 1 or 2 tellers working, once the line goes out the door another lady comes but wont take anyone with a cash or credit card transaction. I think they have a contest going to see who can serve the fewest customers in a day. Also when sending overseas, they just leave my international packages sitting there, until I open up a lost package complaint, then they finally forward them on.

I have had nothing but problems with this location the last 2 months. All of my packages move from the Schaumburg post office to Carol Stream. I have had at least 6 packages just sit there for 2 weeks with no movement. One of which was a Priority envelope. My buyers are furious. After they contact me I put in a lost mail tracer and they suddenly seem to move within a days time. I’ve had 2 packages take over 2 weeks to be delivered within my state of Illinois! The tracking always scans having left Schaumburg to CS and then nothing for days.

Terrible customer service, staff is lazy and doesn’t want to help. Employees lie about postage needing to be dated but postage doesn’t expire. Supervisors need to update the front workers on the policy. Your postage is paid for, if it’s not used it doesn’t expire. I was denied a scan in on my packages because of this. I was handed printed labels and had to add them to each package and take my own pictures so I knew which was going on which package. Worst experience in a post office stopped by here while out and will never again. Where’s my receipt for a survey ? Oh I didn’t get one 🤔

I thought it was the senders whenever I purchase a item from eBay.. I live in Milwaukee wi, no more than 2hrs away from Carol Stream Postal & my packages never come on time.. it just NEVER do.. this literally always happens. this is my 10th day waiting on two packages that I’ve purchased off eBay and my location is legit only two hours away! TAKE YOUR PACKAGES TO ANY OTHER USPS. My last 5 packages have taken 2+ weeks to get a scan at the next facility. These guys have been just letting packages sit around for DAYS before passing them on. Besides probably being the SLOWEST US postal operation in existence (if they went slower, they’d be going backwards), they are probably the most INEPT. I can’t think of one thing they consistently do right except take their breaks. Don’t complain to the postmistress either; as she seems to lead this cabal! Even if it were possible to complain “higher up”, doubtless NOTHING would happen. We realize that the postal system is loosing money. Some of the reasons (i.e. far less 1st class mail), are out of their control. But Customer disService is in their bailiwick!!

This post office actually makes other post offices seem bearable. Staff just plain doesnt care, you can tell they all died inside decades ago. Only ever 1 or 2 people working even with a line out the door. Im pretty sure they take their lunch breaks when they say theyre looking for your package. They claim to offer other services but are completely ignorant of this and if you ask for anything that isnt a letter they basically tell you youre out of luck and will refuse to help, even though theyre supposed to be the source of information. Im not even going to say to replace the workers, the entire building should be condemned and the workers should go do a mediocre job at McDonalds, but even that might be too much work for them.

I guess people are having problems with their packages being handled out of CS USPS. I have same issue, sent out two packages last week via priority, no updates whatsoever. Is there any authority that can look into this???? Not sure if this is the case of negligence, laziness or not being qualified enough to work there? When I am going there, people working who works behind the counter are laughing loudly, yawning and even showing me attitude and rolling their eyes when I am trying to pick up my package (they need to go to the back to search for it)

My 2 day priority mail letter was supposed to be delivered to its final destination on the 12th but sat here in this hole for 5 days. My letter has still not been delivered and it is the 20th. Can someone please explain what happened for five days at this facility? Was my letter x-rayed, rinsed with some chemicals to look for hidden messages, was it examined carefully by every employee there to ensure its safe delivery, or was it steamed carefully to open it, the contents inspected then resealed and sent on to its destination? Please give an answer as to why I bothered to pay this poor excuse of an agency $10.00 to deliver a letter to Ohio in an expeditious, timely manner. The only way to ensure the safe delivery of our packages and letters is to make sure they never enter the door of this building.

The most inept, incompetent workers. I Had valuable autograph sent from France registered, which someone in Carol Stream put into the regular mail. It came all the way from France to Carol Stream only to have someone there mess it up. After my registered letter got put into the regular mail the Carol Stream USPS didnt know what to do with it so they sent it back to France. The company in France sent it back to me again, at my expense for the second time registered mail, and now USPS has lost it entirely but the fault begins with Carol Stream, they put in motion this frustrating, disastrous series of events through incompetence. Id like to thank the USPS for losing a one-of-a-kind autograph of Hollywood memorabilia, which I paid a ton for.. And then Id like to thank USPS in general for losing and mishandling a piece of registered mail coming from France twice. USPS ought to be ashamed about the worthless value of sending something special by registered mail internationally.

This is no clear direction, signage, or location for customers to drop off pre-postmarked packages that do not require a receipt. This is the only post office in the state of Illinois that does not have this for customers. Also, the service counter has been understaffed for the past 5 years, which leads to customer wait times at the service counter which are 400% longer than if the service counter was properly staffed.

I can not understand why the huge mailbox outside the post office has mail spilling out . This I have experienced several times.Every few months I am missing statements that should have been delivered.I still receive neighbors mail after 15 years of residency.I have watched the mailman leave a note stating sorry we missed you several times in fact he never came to the door.There are times I dont receive mail 2 to 3 days in a row then miraculously a mailbox so full its impossible to get the mail out.

All packages seemed to be backed up here for weeks like nobodys there. The drop off boxes outside have been full for weeks aswell. Had packages sitting there since 4/9/2020. Says it departed on the 14th and still no update on travel.

I’ve had problems with the postmaster from my post office and my complaint got sent to Connie at the hub here. She was no help and all I was told is that I can’t speak to the post maters higher up and she can’t do anything about that post master. So basically he can do whatever he wants and have no consequences, even if that means he lies and doesn’t even do his job and help answer questions.

The people that work the counters are SO NICE. But the one time I drop a package in the “deposit mail here” box- tell me why they can’t tell me if it was scanned in or not when I call the next day. The cust service rep said she doesn’t know what their process is with accepting those packages. Really? So I dropped my package off inside the physical post office and you can’t tell me where my package is with my tracking number? Unreal.

I am a part time Ebay seller and i exclusively use USPS to deliver my packages. It makes sense since they pick up at my house everyday. However over the last year they have managed to loose 3 packages. The problem is the careier was not scanning them! Even though i get usps insurance, its useless as they will not honor a claim if the package is not scanned. I have asked my carrier and made multiple complaints to the Carol Stream hub about the issue. They advise me they talk to the carriers but it changes nothing! I am never able to get a hold of Carrie the post master general and was told she recently retired and was replaced by Evelyn. I have spoke to Rhonda multiple times and she promises to look into, but never follows up. I take pictures of all my packages as well as pictures of the carrier picking up. I cant force them to do there job. I will have to take my buisness elsewhere.

Most un respectfully people working here , after I was waiting more then 1 h in line for my passport she remembers that have people with appt. but before she was taking only people in line . I told her this is not fair we are waiting more than one h on line and Tyra K start screening that she will not serve me because she doesn’t want to. After she took all our papers I asked her where I can complain about and she start screaming at me that she is the boss of the post office and she is gonna call cops on me . I swear to the god I never she this kind of sick people . They are not deserving to serve the people. This is un Acceptable

I have a P.O. Box here and it takes them almost 1 month to give me my correspondence. The have also sent back mail stating the PO Box was wrong when it was not. Terrible customer service as well. If there was a negative star, I would give it to them.
