My generator had not been serviced in 5 years and would not start when I tested it before the hurricanes in August. Id signed up for maintenance, but that would get a lower priority. Donna and Fran were so understanding and sent a technician over to take care of it. Very grateful. Customer for life!

I have had numerous challenges with this company. From billing errors, to multiple contacts and multiple email addresses, a remote monitoring equipment installation that requires additional unquoted parts and service, problems that required multiple visits by different techs to resolve, a tech expressing that he had forgotten parts, being charged $315 in labor to change a $7 fuse, problems that were repeatedly missed and most recently a $2700 quote to replace the radiator. But here is the kicker, after spending $5k in maintenance I was sent a remote monitoring renewal for $200 and told if I did not immediately renew, there would be an $850 reconnection fee as the equipment would be removed and the only way to reconnect would be to reinstall. I paid $850 for equipment that I do not own and that is not portable - I cannot monitor myself or through another firm. I also noticed that I signed a 3 year maintenance contract. Apparently they make up for poor service with contract lock in tactics. I have not audited all of the billing and am sure there would be more if I did. I would suggest not doing business with FM Generator under any circumstances.

FM Generator is very professional and extremely responsive. They took on my service contract from another provider who went bankrupt and FM Generator has been fantastic to deal with. They setup appointments quickly and show up when they say they are going to and are professional to deal with. I would recommend them to anyone needing a generator or that may need their generator serviced. Its good to know you can rely on someone for something that sometimes may need emergency service.

Excellent service. Called twice to report generator not working on Friday evening with pending storm coming Monday and Tuesday. Service rep came first thing Monday morning and got my generator working perfectly. Rep was courteous and professional. Very pleased with FM Generator.

They were easy to work with. They explained everything and then took care of installing the back up generator. I had to make a couple of phone calls to give permission for work to get started, they then communicated with the other contractors involved in the work. One of the best home upgrades I have done, I no longer worry about losing power.

Great company and very professional. The scheduling, onsite technician, billing, and management are all done very well. Ryan McDermott was great. He was very polite, educational, on time, took his shoes off to come inside, thorough and respectful.Their prices were reasonable, easy to pay online, and they offer an annual maintenance plan. My house experiences higher than normal power outages. I had a 20kw Briggs standby generator installed by FM Generator. Everything was great with the install. It is such a great feeling when the power goes out and within 15-20 seconds my whole house is up and running again. The only issue Ive had was two blown fuses in the transfer switch (likely lighting hit, to blow them both at once). Under maintenance, FM was out that day and replaced them. The tech that came out took extra time to re-review some of the aspects of the transfer switch and generator with me. Great customer service!

I called FM to service my generator after the old company I used went out of business. They came on time and was very thorough. The serviceman was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about generators.

Basic Major service. Came not only on time! But actual earlier than stated. Boys were in and out with no problems, tuned up the unit and got it ready for a Massachusetts winter.Also came back two weeks later after unit running a little rough, fixed the problem in 5 minutes, and runs great now.

We have had the opportunity to use FMs maintenance service for our Generac 14kW standby backup generator system for the past two years. The system was installed 10 years ago by another company, but unfortunately, they were forced to close their business. Since that time, we have had absolutely ideal service from FM, in terms of the easiest booking of appointments by very pleasant receptionists. Their technicians always arrive on time, are very courteous, and most importantly, expert in what they do. I work together with the technicians, as we always perform a simulation of a power failure during each visit, to ensure the systems transfer switch operates perfectly. We are always fully informed of the results of the service, and have a plan in place for replacement of parts, if needed, in the future, given the age of the generator. All in all, we could not be more satisfied with working with this very fine group of people.

I bought my Generac generator about 3-4 years ago and the service from FM has been fantastic. I call for service and the technician shows up on time. the technician is very knowledgeable and a true professional.Last year my generator stopped working. one of the boards had crashed.the tech cam to my house and figured out a very difficult problem with the board. The board was under a service contract, which he informed me and a $1250 repair cost me nothing.I actually dealt with FM at the Jordan Hospital many years ago and the service and knowledge of their equipment and the timeliness of their service and the professionalism shown has not changed in 20 years.it is truly reassuring to know that I can rely on FM when I need them.Jim Popkin

FM Generator installed a stand-by generator for my home which is on the east coast, about 7 years ago. The installation, which included a new electrical panel and routing of the gas lines, was performed professionally and competently. The price was less than I expected. They have always been very responsive to any problems which have arisen since, as the generator takes a lot of damage due to the salt air.

FM Generator bought out the company that I purchased my Generac generator from. I am extremely pleased with the service I’ve received from them ever since! I’ve only needed general maintenance to this point, but I trust that if I need more, FM Generator would be right there!
