Made an appointment for my wife about a week ago for a 9:00am appointment today. We arrive at 8:40am to be early for the appointment. The majority of the paperwork was filled out online when the appointment was made. At about 9:35 she asked why she wasnt taken back yet as the office had called back 4-5 people already. The receptionist told her, oh I thought you were called back already. She told my wife they are short staff and had a couple walk ins that they took ahead of her. What is the point of an appointment if the office takes walk ins ahead of you? The receptionist said it would be about another hour. My wife took off work in order to see the dentist and ultimately had to walk out as she had other appointments to get to. I absolutely do not recommend Aspen Dental. Its beyond aggravating to schedule an appointment and essentially be bumped for people off the street. We will not be going back.

Best Dentist and staff in stark county! Will go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and taken care of! Highly recommend!! They actually treat their patients like people!!💙

Amazing place to go to. Aspen dental in belden village area makes you feel like family. Every lady I’ve meet there will sit and explain everything possible. They show they care and make you comfortable. I would rate 10 stars but it only allows 5. I will recommend them to anyone that I know. Check them out. You will definitely not feel like a outsider..

The front office staff was very professional and friendly and the dental assistants were the same but the dentist who was on staff at my last visit was rude had no bedside manner and didnt listen to anything I said and thats the main reason why someone goes to a dentist to be heard and to feel as though the dentist cared and he made me feel as though I was a burden or a waste of his precious time well boo hoo he chose to be a dentist and if he had any self awareness he would work on his bedside manner and open his ears to his patients. All and all I would recommend Aspen Dental to others as long as that certain dentist wasnt on staff that day.

My tooth extraction went very smoothly. I was glad to see the infected tooth and that it was no longer in my body!

Went in, had 2 fillings done, one of which, was not brown or showing spots of concern before. Now I have this weird brown spot on my tooth, and I went to tell them about it. They brought me in a week after I had complained about it (because I can’t even currently chew on that side) and everyone told me it’s probably just staining from the coffee I drink? First off, how would ‘staining’ show on a tooth I literally JUST got filled (as the filler would cover that??) . Second, I was able to chew on that side before I came in for my fillings (I also didn’t have this painful brown spot). They told me to come back and they would re-do it if I wanted, but I feel like this is just a waste of my time at this point as it would then be my third visit for the SAME TOOTH. Also both girls I worked with that day were very unprofessional (one was holding the suction directly onto my lip and was pressing down so hard the side of my lip that wasn’t numb started going numb). I will be finding another dentist to fix my issue and do my crown. Can’t even believe they would just say this painful ‘stain’ I have on my tooth, which hurts SO BADLY that even when I brush my teeth it stings. And then they just brought me in and ‘corrected my bite’ when that wasn’t even the issue.

This is fast food dentistry. The are uncaring of your financial situation as you try to figure out how to move forward, and the whole institution probably exists to sell over priced dental hygienics. I went in for an abscess for an old root canal, and they were dead set on scheduling me for 4 grand of gum work that day.Its good that I know the work I need done, but I cant trust their price tag, approach, or practice. If you are like me and wanted to get in somewhere fast, stonewall this institution and escape with the services required.Elderly people beware. Smiles are a sales tactics here.

Because I absolutely hate going to dentist’s I was extremely nervous about getting a tooth extractedI had Doctor Mauer and he did a phenomenal job of numbing my mouth! I actually didn’t feel it at allHe had my tooth removed in less than 5 minutesSo I was very impressed with the whole process

Had a great consultation at the Canton location. Everyone was friendly and the dentist explained everything thoroughly.

They “fixed” one of my teeth that was rotting and now it hurts again more than before and is rotting all over again that cost 300 dollars when I told them to just take it out the lady that was working on me said “no your too young for that” well my tooth is rotting again and it cost way too much to go back so thanks for screwing me. Do not and I mean do not go here.

Like most people, I have a huge fear of the dentist.The smell, the sounds, the price... after my visit at Aspen Dental I was surprised. The staff from the moment I walked in to when I left were outstanding. They were so articulate when explaining and calming at the same time.

Dr Emily was great. She took time with me. Calmed me. She took her time and throughout the visit kept asking me if I was ok. Made me feel very comfortable. I will be back to see her. She def made my experience a good one. I told her my fears with dentists and she listened. The staff was excellent and just as friendly. They explained everything and listened to any of my concerns.

The staff is super friendly and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. They took the time to sit with me and explain everything in detail so I knew exactly what all my options were. I highly recommend!

I do not recommend for anyone that wears dentures!!I went there because I had a sore spot on my lower gum line. The sore spot was never addressed, all they were worried about was taking X-rays and trying to sell me implants.I was even wearing two different sets of dentures. The tops of one and the bottoms of another. And I told the doctor they were to big and I ground them so I had something to wear for looks. And he wanted to use them to make dentures? Miss Matched dentures that dont even fit in the mouth correctly. I dont think so.

Taking them to court they over charged me and my insurance company. They mislead me and lied to me throughtout my process. They tell you want you want to hear. My parcel broke cause its a cheap piece of junk. They are very unprofessional. Stear clear of this place.

I had to have a crown removed and replaced 3 times when they first put it on. Only 2 years later it has fallen off. I called today for help (a missing crown is considered a dental emergency) and they said they cant get me in and I should try someplace else. Zero concern for me.Edit: I called a corporate 800# and they put me in touch with the office manager. She agreed this is something I should be seen for asap and got me in the following morning.

Called late at night to make my son an appointment for the next day because of a toothache. Drove over an hour to the Steubenville location only to be told they don’t see pediatrics. They did X-rays and gave us a referral for the Belden location and told us that they see pediatrics there. Called Belden to make an appointment and they said they don’t see pediatrics either. Aspen really needs to have better communication for their employees!

This Aspen Dental is great!They where great in all aspects of my visit as they treated me like a true customer all the way to my next appointment.

My dentist was fantastic. Took me in right on time. Staff was friendly. I felt safe from the virus, they have taken all necessary precautions. Was very pleased with myvisit.

I had an overall poor experience when getting my wisdom teeth out yesterday. I scheduled my appointment over two months ago for 1:45 pm, and I happened to check on that time yesterday only to see they changed my appointment to 3 pm without letting me know... I had to call and find out beforehand to verify. Had I not done that, I would’ve showed up an hour and 15 mins early. When I arrived, I began filling out paperwork and was shocked at the info of the procedure that I had not been informed about in the slightest prior. I was very nervous, which most people are when getting surgery, and when I voiced my concerns I felt very embarrassed. Not because my fears were irrational, but I felt the three people assisting in my surgery yesterday lacked empathy. I was very anxious, couldn’t get my breathing under control, and I felt completely helpless in my own body and I had no reassurance or significant help in the process. I was crying before, during, and after the surgery because I felt it was a traumatic experience for me. I would urge the staff at Aspen Dental in Belden to learn how to handle patients with anxiety and take an empathy course of some sort for patients in the future, because I will never go there again.

The staff was very curious and friendly and started out as a very pleasant visit. However, my insurance provides for a check up and cleaning every 6 months. They gave me a check up and did a periodontal exam and then was going to schedule me to come back for my cleaning which I never experienced. But when they called me to confirm my cleaning appointment, there was now going to be a charge because the periodontal exam caused them to code it differently instead of as a regular cleaning. I feel I was robbed of my free cleaning because they chose to do a diagnostic procedure first that causes the same cleaning to now be different than a check up cleaning. I was not warned this would be the case nor given the option to do this differently. Ive never experienced this at any other check up in my life of check ups with the same insurance. Consequently I opted out of the cleaning all together which sounds like I cut off my nose to spite my face but I would rather go another 6 months without a cleaning than to have to pay $130 plus dollars for a cleaning that is supposed to be covered 100% with insurance I already pay for. Very Disappointing and would tell anybody who asks to avoid this dental practice for that reason alone.

Ive been to several dentist over the years and aspen was by far the best. Professional and courteous every one was nice and respectful I will definitely be using them from now on. Thanks to everyone at aspen dental. I appreciate the way I was treated.

Not fun when you ask for 1 tooth to be pulled and another filled in, and instead youre charged $1300 for 1 tooth extraction and I didnt even realize they were going to grind down the wrong teeth and fill them in without so much as looking at the tooth I had complained about and had to go to Immediadent on Tusc to get removed due to the negligence I experienced by Aspen. Now Im being taken to court for the asinine amount I was charged.Avoid.

Was supposed to get a root canal put they ended up filling my tooth. left and came back 30 minutes later for extreme pain radiating to my ear/head. they ended up pulling my tooth. very unprofessional

The staff is friendly and professional. The hygienist was amazing! He took the extra time to explain everything in detail and answered all of my questions. I also like they have later hours for working class citizens.

I love how the dentist always explain everything to my &yr old. he was very scared and they made sure to take their time and assured him everything would be ok. they are affordable and offer payment options as well for those that do not have insurance.

Great experience and well organized office! The only reason i couldnt give 5 stars is the high costs of dental procedures (namely bridges, implants, etc). Sadly, their costs are in par with every other dentistry. That said, the pleasant environment, transparent billing and great customer service is much appreciated during unavoidable costs of healthcare! 💸👀

I had an ok experience, I went to Aspen looking to get an exam done to see if my wisdom teeth are impacted so I could know to be eligible for my self to see an oral surgeon for surgery. They gave me a run around 3 different times on getting the referral to another oral surgeon and getting me the xrays I needed! They are REALLY pushy about seeing their “traveling dentist.” I think that is odd they have a traveling dentist and not one on site, this isn’t the 1800’s where you see a traveling dentist! They really gave me attitude when I said no I already have an oral surgeon picked out, my brother had been their before for the same thing and had the same experience . It’s an ok place, it’s really clean and everyone’s friendly but it really makes them upset when you mention you have another oral surgeon lined up! I’ll probably go back for a cleaning and minor work but that’s probably it.

Every negative review i read has the same exact response from Aspen Dental ADMI. Im sorry that the experience didnt live up to expectations. If you have any questions about the care plan you received, please dont hesitate to reach out to the team i have spent hours reading the reviews. The people that are so pleased with Aspen Dental are more concerned with friendly then what they are being charged. The negative reviews from different people but the same experience which is an indication that some sort of financial scam is in fact going on at Aspen dental. It doesnt matter how nice the staff is or if there are TVs in the office, what should be important is are you in fact being told the truth and being charged accordingly and it appears NO. Many patients are being told one thing prior to their visit, then being charged AFTER the visit. I considered this facility but thank goodness I can tell by the helpful reviews what is really going on at ASPEN DENTAL masked by friendly chit chat while grabbing deep into your pockets without your knowledge. Unethical, unscrupulous practice, You have to wonder why a dentist joins a big corporation such as this in the first place? When i canceled my appt, it took 2 seconds to receive a text message from ASPEN DENTAL stating i was unsubscribed from their facility and will no longer receive communication from them. WHAT? for cancelling an appt? For the smart people that have gone here and figured it out quickly, Thanks for sharing. For the people that like the place because they smile, say hi, check your bill.

Amazing experience! The office is literally next to my employer and I wanted to get a second opinion on the cost of two bridges that I needed due to my current dentist inflating the cost. Needless to say Aspen was ONE THIRD less than my dentist in Cincinnati. And yes, I do drive to Cincinnati to see my dentist because I don’t do well with change. The staff was extremely friendly including the dentist and the price very reasonable. Aspen Dental in Belden Village is my new go-to dental office.

I was really nervous before my appointment I was worked into their schedule but was still made to feel comfortable. Everyone was friendly and treated me with kindness. i am looking forward to getting my problems solved and being able to get back to my life!

Aspen Dental is incredibly disorganized and a complete rip-off. I had my appointment set for the early morning. Without notifying me, my appointment changed to the late afternoon. Its a good thing I called because I had no idea it changed or why it changed. Unfortunately I had already taken a day off of work at that point. When I showed up to my appointment, I got there 20 minutes early. I waited, and I waited, and I waited. I waited for a whole 2 hours before I was called back. By that time they were closed and still had another patient to see. Thankfully the surgeon was absolutely amazing and extracted my tooth in about 20 minutes after the anesthetics kiRIP-off. The poor guy was just as frustrated about the scheduling issues as I was. The other issue I have with them is when I had my consultation, I had X-rays to give them. But they refused to use those X-rays and wanted to take their own. I understand that they have newer machines, but so did the dentist who referred me. So after the consultation, I had to put a down payment for my tooth extraction. I paid for half of the total cost. When I got to my appointment I was surprised to find out that I still had to pay for the total cost even though I put a down payment. I was told that my insurance denied the X-rays they took because I already had X-rays done (the ones they refused to use) and I was at my limit for the year. The only reason they even get a star is because Google wont let me give 0 stars. Dont go to Aspen Dental if you have a choice to go somewhere better.

The staff is great but you really have to watch your bill. This place will keep your money. And have no problem doing it. The dental work was very good. But please watch your bill. I keep posting because this is a fact. They told I would get a sum of money back at the office I got a lot less. Good dentist good staff unscrupulous company. During this very difficult time, I developed a very bad pain in my upper left jaw. I have been told there was at least one cavity, but I put it off and off. The pain I experienced was diffuse, but very harsh. ; it awakened me about 5 a.m.. I called my dentists office and found them to be indefinitely closed. Then I called my insurance company. They gave me three possibilities, plus a suggestion to try Aspen Dental. They saw me immediately. They did X-rays my teeth and found no cavity. I needed a dental cleaning to get at particles or whatever was lodged in my gum.. Their hygienist was not available but I scheduled an appointment in April if possible. In the meantime I am flossing and massaging the gum and rinsing. I will go back ASAP and start treatment.

The only issue I had was in communication. My appointment was changed from 9 to 10 and I was not informed even when I had called to confirm the day before. I also was not told to bring my asthma inhaler just in case it was needed. The surgeon I had for my wisdom teeth extraction was very friendly and explained everything thoroughly before hand.

Staff was very kind, but pushy when it came to treatment options. I went in to have a broken tooth pulled- they wanted to do a crown, I said no. They wanted to do a filling, I said no. They were disappointed I wouldn’t spend almost $1500 on a tooth (mind you I have no Insurnace and I am a single parent, I made this clear when I set my appointment and at check in). They wanted to push me to use flouride and get a cleaning- I haven’t been to a dentist in 12yrs and I had NO cavities. They didn’t under at and why I didn’t want to spend another $100 on a cleaning. They kept saying “you really want to” and I said no, YOU want me to...the people were kind overall, but I was sat in a chair for 25 minutes with no interaction, so what could’ve been a 30min appointment turned into an hour for no reason.

Major emergency. Worked with me to assure i was taken care of.Very professional and caring!!! One of the best in my book!!! Thank you aspen dental!!!!

Ive been extremely happy with my overall experience at the Canton Aspen Dental. After dealing with mouth pain for years, I finally faced my fears and got the final work done I needed on my lower teeth and Im very very happy with the result. Dr. Whetsell is fantastic, she understands people have fears of dentists and pain and she has a wonderful chair side manner. Ive recommended their office to several people at work and to my own mother.

Watch your bill here. I went in a few weeks ago for a check up and xrays. they told me I needed to pay half of the total treatment that day in order to schedule my fillings appointments, which was a little over 100. So I did. at my first appointment, they tried billing me almost $200. I told them that couldnt be right. The manager, Kelly, came out, looked at my info and then said i only owed $60, and then my last appointment I would owe around $50. That all seemed fine and added up right to me from what I was told originally.I went in for my last filling appointment today and they tried telling me I would owe $180 still. I had to cancel my appointment. I will not be going back, and felt very mislead.

The only thing that I would charge is doing the cleaning the same day as the X-rays and exam for patients without insurance and giving them some kind of discount on the cleaning.

I have been going to Aspen Dental for years. Thay are always nice and friendly. The doctors are awesome especially doctor Patel! No matter what work I have needed they have a dental plan that covers it. Their friendly and affordable .

I initially liked this office. I felt respected and like i was treated with care. I go in for my second check up with them to learn i was not given all the information about my teeth/mouth from first visit and that they down played the information i was given at my first visit. I then ask for a detailed break down of what i needed done and here the dentist added things to my chart that we never discussed and I never brought up for topic.

All of the staff was very nice, I had a very long wait even with an appointment though. The dentist answered my questions and I never felt pressured to do more than what I came in to get done.

I had no idea going in for my first appt. The outcome was a great and pleasant interaction with the two consultants. The outcome of our discussion was we were informed of the needed work.To explain, we were very pleased with the business

Arrived 15 min early . To do paper work. Received that 20 min after my scheduled time, I spent 2 hours there for an exam and to get a dental plan. Then there computers crashed. So I never got any info, they were supposed to call next day with the plan and cost. They never did.... I called a week later and all they could tell me was I needed a cleaning and nothing about the work that i wanted done.. very unprofessional.. go somewhere else .. these big chain dentist are all horrible

Didnt seem like I was important when I arrived. Before someone always greeted me. Person at desk greeted gentleman who came in after me and the other person after that. I sat for approximately 1/2 hour before someone came and took me for my x-rays. Once back in the x-ray area those people were attentive and worked with me on a pretty quick basis for what I was there for. Was disappointed to hear you have to provide 60% of the bill cost before they will book an appointment. How frustrating but I guess understandable when it is all about the money and not the patient who is in pain.

Staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions without hesitation. We had a slight problem figuring out the payment situation but the girls were very patient and figured everything out. The office is very clean, nice waiting room and clean bathroom!My only complaint was that the operating room seemed to be a little cluttered and unorganized. Otherwise, I had a pleasant experience!

Dr Patel is the BEST! !! The wait was very shortshort . The office staff was very friendly and they communicated well with me and each other. The Dentist was so nice and explained everything completely in terms I could understand . I actually have high anxiety/fear of being at the dentist and they made me feel so comfortable and want to go back !

Great experience, staff was very friendly, and pricing was comparable to a smaller dentists office. Will be going back! Also, Love the hours and that I was able to get in within a week of booking my appointment. They did give me a breakdown of costs for bleaching and cavities being filled, and they tried to get me to buy a very expensive electric toothbrush, but you can opt out of services/products that you dont need or want.

After literally years of trying to receive decent dental care from military and va, I finally gave up& refused to go back. I found aspen, decided to try them, and have no regrets so far. The staff is as professional as I can imagine. Their dental procedures and way of doing business is streamlined so much that Im not sure how they could improve. So far, this office sets a very high standard. My review is not complete yet, I will write another one once everything is done

My main purpose for the visit was my bi-yearly teeth cleaning. Below is a description of my visit.As a new customer at Aspen, I had to fill in some new paperwork. I spoke to the receptionist and she was very professional and patient, as I was missing some of the required information. During this time, another customer walked in. He was very rude to the receptionist when he was talking to her and was borderline yelling the entire time he was in the waiting area asking about trying to access some kind of records. The receptionist responded with professionalism and did her best to help him, but he was nonetheless a very rude customer.After filling out the paperwork, I was called in to get check-up x-rays. I finished the x-rays and then spoke to the dentist, who explained to me what was happening in my mouth and answered any questions I had pertaining them. I finished with the dental hygienist, who was very friendly and also cleaned my teeth very well. I felt like I had brand new teeth. I asked her about a new toothbrush I was looking at (oral b 5000). She told me that the dental office received discounted toothbrushes. This was awesome because I was looking at getting one and now I was able to get one heavily discounted with extra accessories.In short, I was very pleased with my visit to Aspen Dental and recommend it. The staff was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable.

DO NOT GIVE THESE CLOWNS BUSINESS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!Absolutely horrible this place has the most lazy/rude staff, MVP of useless goes to a reception named Chanel. She literally lied to me about calling my Dental insurance and she said they told her I was not covered for extraction. I give my Dental insurance a call they confirm I am covered for extraction and they also have proof of Aspen not even calling. I call Aspen again right after calling my insurance. I get Chanel again called her out on her BS she now proceeds to back her lie with another and tells me she will call again. Hours go bye and never get a call back from aspen Dental. Basically Aspen is unprofessional and really doesnt care of their image and I for one wouldnt want that type of mind set of people operating in my mouth and YOU shouldnt too! Also they will try and Crack your head open on price. they tried to charge me 1000$ for each wisdom tooth! I understand if you dont have insurance you will be paying more but 1000$ for 1 tooth LOL how greedy can you be?!?!? Its nice to see Drs trying to capitalize off peoples pain..... Profit over people I guess...... I got this price before my Dental kicked in but I guess even when do get Dental insurance they still wont treat you like a valuable costumer by lying to you! Trying to say your insurance cant cover whatever youre trying to get done. Like I said from the start this place is a Joke! there are better dentist offices and I would highly recommend going to any one of those other dentist then Aspen Dental.

Visiting dentist did not offer any solutions for my initial consulatation. Front desk was supposed to speak to regular dentist when he got back from vacation. I was told I would receive a follow up next day. That never happened. Due to the fact I didnt want to pay $1700 for cleaning services without a plan to fix the other issues. Guess they dont really care about my business. Not a good experience. Would not recommend. I was told they offered implants and found out they dont. Total waste of time. They better not bill my insurance.

I felt like I was at a sales office! I have never felt that way at a dentist or doctors office. The time spent with the dentist was short and not informative yet when you go to the desk you are handed a file thats full of things they want you to do, most at crazy prices. Have you ever gone to a timeshare presentation? Or purchased a used car? This place is no different. OK sign this and we will get you started. What? Sign what? Start what? No Im not signing anything until I review it and ask questions. They try to pressure you into appointments. I felt I could not trust anything they said after that experience and had to go to another dentist.

Excellent patient care and very professional staffing! I would recommend to everyone of all ages! My favorite employee was Kassie Elliott. She is very appropriate and nice!

Everyones so professional. The service is par excellence. I wish Id used their services much earlier. I didnt have a hard time convincing my wife to avail its services. Appointments are so easy to make. The same dentist/dental technicians will attend to your needs unlike in other big-name dental franchises around the area. I highly recommend Aspen Dental to anyone who wants quality & affordable dental care.

I had many teeth removed and dentures made. Dr. Whetsell was wonderful. I am completely satisfied with my dentures and would totally recommend Dr. Whetsell for her attention to detail, professional skills and calming manner. All the staff first rate.😁

I went to Aspen dental in a different city a few years ago. I wasn’t able to go because of my insurance, so I was excited they accept my insurance now. They made me do a new patient exam since I haven’t been there in a few years. They didn’t tell me it wouldn’t be free since I’m not a new patient. They didn’t tell me until the end after everything had been done. I told the manager I wasn’t happy about the surprise bill and if I would have knew I wouldn’t have got all the xrays. She was rude and said I wouldn’t of been able to be treated if I didn’t. I would have gone somewhere else. It’s not the money it’s the principle. Why would I pay for a service I could get for free right down the street? And the fact that they required me to get the new patient exam knowing I wasn’t a new patient and it would cost me money it was just dishonest. I won’t be returning.

At first, I liked this place. Nice staff, tvs in the rooms, seemed awesome. I recently got my wisdom teeth extracted here by their oral surgeon, okezie. For the amount I paid I figured it would be the best nurses and surgeon around. Boy was I wrong. This man was so hostile to me while I had anxiety and he did NOTHING to help that other than drug me. He seemed rude to me before the extraction and after. Not only that, it seemed like he was blaming me for not being able to find my vein. Anyways, he took my wisdom teeth out and traumatized my left cheek. I now have a huge dry socket with a cut going up my cheek. I understand that its not unusual to have this so I dont blame him for the pain Im experiencing. But I am very unhappy with aspens response. I called their 24 hour emergency line after the surgery and was told a doctor would call me back 30 minutes later with advice. Its been a week. I got no call. I ended up paying another dentist to help me with the pain. Ive seen Dr. Thomas on Portage twice now and he will be my new dentist for his amazing job. But it still hurts, so hopefully they can fix their mistakes or else I will tell everyone I know not to go to this office for anything other than a cleaning.

Great experience ever and EVERYONE was very friendly and pleasant. They provided the best customer service I ever had from their entire team. I told coworkers how great they were once I left out of their office.

The office manager Kelly was horribly rude to my family and I. She didnt great us with a smile but an order to sit down. She continued in a harsh clipped manner. We ended up leaving with my daughter in tears. Absolutely a horrible human being. I would never recommend this office to anyone.
