The irony is, you never will have a good vibes for a tow company.We never anticipate, we are here because we did wrong!!!!They have good and fast service.

Phils towing towed my car after I parked illegally without a permit. Usually, you would think I would be writing an angry review, and I can see that there are several here-- getting your car towed is probably one of the worst days of your week, month, maybe even year if youve had a good one. But Phils Towing was very fair, and the employees working there were kind and helpful. The price was 165$, but again, I parked illegally and the fact that I was towed was my own responsibility. They were very kind and a really helpful group of people.

I had just arrived home from the hospital with my newborn after she had been born a few days prior and was running off 2-3 hours of sleep per night. I didnt notice that there was street cleaning and my car was towed by Phils Towing. When I arrived at Phils Towings office, I asked if there was any chance for a discount since I had just returned from the hospital with a newborn. The response was, Absolutely no chance. Im doing you a favor here by giving you the car back.I would have had absolutely no problem if he had politely said no since I did make an honest mistake. My issue was with how unprofessional and inconsiderate his response was. Plus, I was paying a $100 fee so obviously I was going to get my car back...not sure if that was a poor attempt for a joke.

Damaged my car while towing. Disappointing that they don’t take the time to do the job right.

They were aight. Doing their jobs. It was... an altogether unpleasant experience, but its not the company thats at fault for that.

Phils towing is the best, they are like the knights of the round table. Whenever your stuck in your car/truck whos there to help you out, thats correct, Phils Towing.

I was just watching from a building down the road and saw them moving newly impounded cars with a forklift I even have video evidence of them pretty much destroying a newer f-150 I also witnessed them stove the door in on a newer Ford Fusion and almost flipping a brand new work van with the forklift if you are the owner of the Ford F-150 dark grey that got impounded on 11-02-2020 email me at [email protected] I have video of them dammaging your truck

Literally the worst place ever. Tow lots are saddest lowest must disgusting places of business there are. What they do is nothing more than legalized extortion. My week was made worse by having to have set foot in this place. You tell me where you see a tow zone sign. Merry Christmas indeed. 😡😔😡💩

On time and fast

Phils towing has been great. Quick easy and right to the point. Any time I need quick cash and need to junk a project, they take care of me

Had a flat tire. Talked to a dispatcher who was incredibly nice, called the tire company to let them know I was on my way. Driver showed up exactly when he said he would, was super fast and professional. I did briefly speak to the second dispatcher, who was short and rough around the edges. Probably would have called another tow if he had been my first point of contact. Grateful for Phil’s.

Car broke down in a tight driveway. While it took them a little while to get there (busy day), they were able to skillfully get the car out without damaging it against the building walls. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would suggest for anyone needing their busted car moved.

Got my car towed because of street sweeping. These guys were super helpful and friendly. It certainly made the whole situation more pleasant to deal with.

By FAR thee MOST un professional people Ive ever met. I had my car kicked twice by a driver scratched my rims when he towed me. For some reason HAD to go into my car and when i finally got it out it was in 2nd gear. When I brought this up I was confronted with violence. Not kidding. These guys got it coming.

Charged $35 extra as a storage fee for retrieving my car 30 minutes past midnight.I dont want to be unfair to Phil, I understand that hes legally entitled to upcharge if he keeps a car past 12:01am. Ive actually paid that fee without complaint in the past when I couldnt pick up my car until the day after it had been towed.In this case, however - at just 30 minutes past - it felt excessive. If I find myself in need of towing service in the future, I plan to hire B&B Towing instead.

A Phils Towing car trailer (one of those vehicles that can carry a lot of cars at the same time, like the ones that car dealers have) made an illegal left turn onto Rindge Avenue in Cambridge on April 20th, 2020 at 11:30 A.M. Completely reckless.

Good ole company that’s been around for decades!

I had an (unexpectedly) good experience with these guys today. I messed up and accidentally parked in the wrong spot which led to my car being towed and I was initially LIVID. Went to pick up my car and the guys were very kind and professional. My car came back in perfect condition. A gentleman even scraped the parking sticker off of my windshield for me. I wish other tow companies were like this.

Promises to arrive at Green Street Garage in Cambridge, less than a mile from Phils Towing, in 10-15 minutes. No-show after more than a half an hour, so I call back. They say hes on his way. Still no-show for almost an hour later. I call back and they voluntaril cancel because they didnt like my lack of patience. This absolutely piss poor.

Made an excuse to not come pick up a strangers car saying they werent authorized even though the POLICE said they are. Luckily another towing company agreed with no issue

I have used Phils Tow many times over the years. I love the service I receive from them . It puts my mind at ease when my daughter is broken down in her car on a highway and I make the call to Phils and they send someone right away.I have had nothing but good experiences with them, they are also very fair with pricing. Worst experience ever! These guys left me stranded on the side of the ride after ruining my spare tire. The owner refused to look at it after contacting the better business bureau.

Credit card into leaked from this place, at least $2000 worth fraud purchase.

If you have the unfortunate experience of being towed, this is the company you want to retrieve your car from! They were professional, pleasant to deal with and straight forward.

The only reason these guys are in business is because of all their involuntary tow customers from Cambridge city street cleaning. These guys are only nice and professional to you if youre ponying up the money. When I collected my car I noticed that they made a bunch of 4 inch vertical scratches on my bumper (impossible to get from another car tapping my bumper.) The company owner refused to even *look* at the scratches. All he cared about is whether you can prove it in court (court?? what about customer service??). If you dont happen to have a picture of the car moments before towing you are out of luck*. If you have a choice, please dont give these guys your business!!*A police officer inspects your car before towing, but if you have a single scratch already you get an S=scratch on the tow report--- which apparently means Phils can add as much damage as they want and get away with it...unless you have that pre-tow photo!

Dont call if you need a tow soon, theyre busy towing for the city, making millions. Thats why they dont care about you!

I dont understand how these people can live with themselves. I guess in the tow business we who are towed are not their valued customers. Its the people they have the contracts with. They caused $200.- damage to both plastic pieces protecting the doors of my car and refuse to even look at it.I didnt notice the damage until a week later, when I ripped my finger on the cutting edge at the top of the door where the metal is now showing, then called the Volkswagen dealer a few days after that to enquire about this part that seemingly broke on its own on a brand new car. The tow was not top of mind at that time anymore.The Volkswagen people asked me whether I had been towed recently, and that it sounded like something that could happen during a tow.When I called Phils they refused to listen since apparently too much time had elapsed, and who knows what I could have done in the meanwhile, and just hung up on me.The amount is too small to get my insurance company involved, so I will suck it up.I sincerely hope that this is a consideration for someone who wants to hire a tow company - these people are rude on the phone, not helpful at all, and careless with others property.
