We just yesterday completed a full roof replacement with Polar Builders. The whole process was first class and we could not be happier. Everything from the craftsmanship to the advice, customer service and cleanup was excellent. I was especially impressed with Matt Hill, the field representative. He originally came to our door and offered to inspect the roof after a hail storm. I was skeptical of door to door contractors from horror stories Ive heard. When i learned that Polar was local, I let him take a look. He felt we had a claim. He met the adjuster and worked very hard to climb around our very steep roof to make sure they saw enough evidence to approve the claim. The insurance company originally approved only a portion of the claim. With Matts extensive knowledge of the industry and his persistence, he was able to get the full roof replacement approved. He came to our house many times to meet, discuss progress, offer options and advice. When the project was being done, i got very clear information and expectations before during and after. Matt monitored the progress and did a lot of cleanup after the work was done to make sure every nail, staple and scrap of material was removed. The property was spotless by the time they left. This has been an extremely positive experience and Polar gets my highest recommendation!

I will update this review once my issue is resolved. May this review serve as a complain, because I dont have time to write multiple emails and make multiple calls.I hired Polar to replace my windows due to hail damage. Polar subcontracted Gemstone Windows, who used the Windsor brand. Come rainy June, and one of my windows leaked after a storm. Gemstone came to repair this, assured this was a quality issue and not an installation issue, and promised that Windsor Quality would be looking at them because of this and other quality issues that they have encountered with the Windsor products.Windsor called, and the lady, in a very unpolite and unprofessional way, said that our issue was resolved, that it wasnt a quality issue, but an installation issue, so they didnt need to come see us, nor inspect the quality of our 8+ windows. She added that they would charge us between 3k and 5k to make a rain test to inspect the quality of our other windows (ridiculous, I know...). In the end she reluctantly agreed to send someone to inspect our windows, after A LOT of arguing. This experience has been so stressful!!! I shouldve gone with another company and brand, because now Im stuck with this lower quality product, which seems to be lower than what I originally had.

Peter is fantastic. If you need a new roof this is THE place to go. The knowledge and expertise Peter demonstrated in roofing is second to none. I’m a quality professional in my line of work and critical with products and services I encounter. We have Polar Roofing on speed dial should we ever have to go through replacing our roof again. Thanks Peter and Polar much appreciated for a job well done from start to finish.

Man one word: “Con people”They came out two years ago said they get me good deal on my shingles with my insurance. Came out did work on my roof, next day shingles popped up. I called them, they came out and the dude that talk to me was like, “stupid contractors, they were suppose to know what they were Doing. We will have it fix and going.” Next thing you know they send out another guy to tell me that there was actually more stuff damage from the roof prior and that they needed tell my insurance of the other more damages. Next thing you know they racked up more than 10k extra for my insurance to approve. My insurance wasn’t buying it. End of the story, things didn’t go well between them and me. They are out to get the less fortunate and those who are new home owners and have no idea much about how this works. So if you are a new home owner I would say avoid them.

Gary’s determination was unbelievable. I wanted to give up in the process with the insurance companies many times over. But Gary kept coming back and walking me through the next steps helping me every inch of the way. Until we finally had the insurance company pay for the full roof replacement.

Sally did a wonderful job from her first visit with my wife through completion of the re-shingling project. A few days after a hailstorm hit our area, Sally approached Kay, who was quite impressed with Sally’s knowledge and professionalism and said I should contact her asap. My wife was right! Sally knows what she’s talking about. She is very professional and courteous; she is not pushy and takes time to explain. She got right up on the higher-pitched roof to inspect and took pictures to show us the damage. Sally took pictures throughout the project to show us the “before”, progress being made, and the completed “ after”. Her crew was efficient and very hardworking. The entire process, from Sally contacting our insurance agent to picking nails up from our yard, went very smoothly. The dumpster was hauled away the day after the roof was done. Ive owned many homes in my lifetime and Ive hired many contractors for work on my homes over the past 35 years; I have to say that my roof project with Polar Builders was by far the best experience Ive had with a major project. From the initial contact with their Field Rep Stephanie T. to the completed project and clean up everything was done to plan and on time! Excellent communications with/from Polar Builders every step of the way. The crew took great care on doing everything right...great craftsmanship! Even our city Building Inspector commented to me about about the quality of the work Polar provided. Ive had a Great experience with Polar Builders and dont hesitate to recommend them.

If you want a company that will commit insurance fraud and lie to you this is the company! After telling Michael that certain areas of damage were not caused by the storm he continued to try to pad Polar Builders pockets. I had to tell the insurance agent that it was prior damage. Then the owner Gary will put a lien against your house even after 10 months of a job that hasn’t been completed... Workmanship is horrible.I got forced to deal with horrible workmanship and incomplete work to get an illegal lien taken off my home..Don’t get handcuffed by this company.It took Attourney’s fees to sever relations!

John Vail and Alex Giles were great to work with. Assisted all the way through the process from filing the claim through checking during and after completion. Crew did a great job Including a very through clean up. The crew did an exceptional job of protecting plant, shrubs and windows. I would recommend Polar Builders in a heartbeat.

They did an excellent job fighting with the insurance company to get them to buy the roof replacement, but thats the only good thing I can say about them. Terrible with communication on starting and stopping the project, left unused supplies in the driveway and yard for over 3 weeks blocking the use of the driveway and garage. NO communication for time they finished until the final invoice showed up (more than 2 months later). Sent final invoice to be paid one week prior to the insurance company reviewing and approving it. Id rather use an out of state storm chaser than using Polar Builders.

We could not have been more pleased with our Polar experience, and with John V, who managed the project for us. I was referred to him by a realtor who lives in our neighborhood, and within an hour of calling he had our property scopes out and was great with sharing how the process would go. He provided great communication and support along the way. From the moment the adjuster confirmed that our roof needed replacing we had the project scheduled and completed within a week, which was greatly exceeded our expectations. Big storm! Big stress! When Grant from Polar showed up I expected the worst. Just another company wanting to make a buck off my damage. Instead of being talked at, I was listened to. They both are very professional, knowledgeable and personable. Polar Builders and Sally Bristol did a fantastic job in guiding us through process of getting a new roof due to hail damage. They coordinated with insurance company and did all the work in a timely manner. Sally managed the process and we did not have to do much but pick out shingles!!

They came out and said we will do your roof for a reasonable price. After the first shingles installment, the next day all my shingles flipped up. They said the contractor they hired, which were Hispanics, did a bad job. Came out and said “your insurance need to pay for the new estimate we discover” on your roof. How did they go from “we will do your roof for the first price” and then mess up and go “Oh we found new problems now your insurance has to pay us more.” Story short, they took at least 18 grand from my insurance and my family. They show no mercy for minorities. Horrible experience. If you are a first time home buyer, or have little experience whatsoever on house or roofing, stay away from this company they will con you.

Scott Lebrun showed after the storm and helped us with our claim. We were always kept in the loop of what was happening in the process. The crew that came to complete our roof was professional and tidy. They made sure we were not inconvenienced by their work. Great experience with Polar.

Suresh was prompt, professional, diligent, and thoughtful in his response, actions, and overall customer service. He made the process painless, and was very ethical in his approach.We did have a situation where roofing nails were left scattered on the driveway due to the dumpster company not taking the extra step of cleaning. However, we do not feel that this issue was a direct reflection of Suresh or his teams’ work. In fact, he went above and beyond to stop at our house to ensure cleanup was competed to his satisfaction and follow up with the dumpster contractor.

Suresh was great to work with. He made sure the work was done in a timely manner, the workmanship was top notch and was very professional. I recommended him to my in-laws who were equally impressed with his customer service!

Suresh’s Polar builders are amazing! They know what their doing.....the day they came was the hottest day of the year and we were worried about them being on the roof but they never missed a beat...You can tell they’ve done this before! What ever worried spots I was concerned about the last time we needed to change the roof were addressed immediately and they made sure the changes were made....I would definitely use this company again.....after they were finished they cleaned up after themselves and you didn’t know they were ever there. Suresh also came out a day or two latter to just make sure we were satisfied and to just make sure everything was done to his and our satisfaction.....definitely would use them again! LOVE THE ROOF!

Wonderful company to work with, we had a recent hail storm and Grant (Field Rep) offered to see if we had any damage no cost to us. From experience, I would use extreme caution when thinking of using Polar Builders. The job they did on my house, was very poor and the inspector had many issues with the restoration. When asked to fix the problems we were met with hesitation and resistance.Hmmm that’s very interesting. I have receipts, paperwork from polar and contact information. Not to mention insurance paperwork.

Big time stay away recommendation!Their employee suddenly appeared on the back porch taking pictures on a personal phone while my family was eating lunch.When confronted, the employee said something about being sent by an unnamed insurance company, but when asked if it was company policy to arrive unannounced with no knock on the door or doorbell ring, they suddenly had no answer.The employee then walked back to their truck with this company’s phone number on the side, all the while refusing to allow me to take a photo of their badge to get employees name.When I called the company they were not the least bit concerned about their employe’s inappropriate behavior.If this is how Polar Builders decides to conduct business, I urge you to spend your money elsewhere.

Our field representative was very customer focused and prompt with his follow-up. He even came out the day after the project completed to inspect the work and the clean-up job - picking up extra nails and debris that even we could see.

So far so good. Dean has been a great help with the claim process.

Be wary of Polar Builders. So many houses in Lakeville had the Polar sign in the yard, we just decided to use them. And didnt do our research. Polar does not give estimates, they require your insurance paperwork be handed over to them, and your total bill will be exactly what your insurance company is giving you. I had never filed an insurance claim, but I found it odd that the rep was calling in my claim for me, but once that happened it was too late to back out.Polar did get our roof done in a timely manner. But we have a corner on the roof that looks awful. They came out to look at it, and reassured me they would do anything I wanted to make it right. Told me someone would be by 2 weeks later to fix it. Satisfied with their answer, I paid my bill in full. But no one ever showed up to fix the problem area and now they wont return my calls.After talking with multiple neighbors that used Polar, we have heard many similar stories.I would not recommend Polar Builders in Lakeville or Twin Citiea area.UPDATE 1 month later: Polar still has not fixed my issue. And to top it all off, my roof did not pass the City of Lakeville inspection. I would never recommend Polar Builders.

These guys are con artists and scammers. They use to be able restoration and then the owner switched the name of the company and put it into his wife’s name. Do not trust them. They lie, cheat, steal, fraud and make up rumors. Pretty sure they won’t like my truthful response.

After two months of dealing with our insurance company and trying to work with Polars Sales Mgr and finally got part of our claims approved, Polar called me today to say they cant fix our roof because this Sales mgr is at capacity with all the recent storms while managing 20 guys. This is after being led on for a month that he contacted our insurance for a shingles allowance and claiming the insurance company is too slow. I then reached out to our insurance and find out they never asked for a shingles allowance and no records of any contractor contacting them. I left this sales mgr a message without a response until I texted him the next day and got a text saying hes swamp and he transferred my claim back to the first sales person. Then I got a call from him a few hrs later telling me he lied and didnt actually requested for a shingles allowance in the first place because insurance wouldnt approve it anyway and theyre at capacity so we should call the insurance company to find a new contractor. Polar has led us on to wait and wait and wait since early June to find out they lied and now denied our business because theyre at capacity and clearly didnt want to do our roof because its not going to greatly profit them. Yes, we will take our business elsewhere but Polars business integrity and responsibility are disgraceful and unethical and your prospective clients need to know the kind of treatment they can expect to get if their project dont cost tens of thousands.
