My husband went to National Tire and Battery on South Church Street in Burlington North Carolina on Saturday 10-02-2021. He checked in 11:43 to have two tire mounted and balanced on his pickup truck. There were 5 people working at this location that day. Now comes the ridiculous part he didn’t get out of there until 2:10! Wow 2&1/2 hours just to get two tires!! Now this might have been ok if the business had a lot of customers that day but this was not the case. During the time frame that he was there he was one on only THREE customers. None of the employees offered any type of explanation or were they at the least bit concerned that this had taken place. The only thing that was said to my husband when he questioned what was taking so long was, and I quote, “this is just how long it takes man” I know this is not true as I have been there in the past or have tires put on a vehicle and was there less than 45 minutes. With this lack of customer service and the total disregard for a customer’s time we will NEVER have anything else done at this location. The length of time spent there and the total disregard from the employees I would not suggest anyone waste their time with this business.

Quick service, friendly people! Currently watching as they change my oil. He checked all fluids and refilled! Will be getting an estimate on tires also. Great service!

Had an 8am appt on Saturday morning. I arrived before 8. They had not yet opened. I was the first customer there and they still did not get my car into the service area until almost 9am. 4 workers working back and forth on multiple vehicles with none of them not really seeming to know what they were doing. One guy was on his phone texting every couple of minutes. Bottom line it took 2 hours with an appt to get 2 tires. What a waste of time. Don’t go here. I won’t again.

I am a normal at NTB I changed to this location because I moved to Burlington any issue i had in general was addressed and fixed. I truly appreciate NTB they get the job done.

We have been coming to this location over a decade. When we come for car service, we always experience prompt and courteous service. We almost always have options available to fit our budget and sometimes even discounts.

Went there for a tire rotation and oil change. The entire endeavor took over 2.5 hours even though there was only 2 people ahead of me. The worst part was they never actually did my tire rotation. Someone who I think might have been the manger torqued my tires and assumed that the tires were rotated. When I asked if they were rotated the manger asked the mechanic who said he didnt rotate them. Why torque the tires if you didnt rotate them? Seemed to me he wanted to make it look like he rotated them. So I stayed 15 mins after closing time for them to rotate my tires.

NTB and the team here saved me today! Best customer service I’ve received in a while, especially during an emergency. Highly recommend!I am 5.5 hours from home and my idler pulley broke while on the interstate. The team here took my car in immediately, had someone drive to Greensboro for my part, and got me back on the road home. I have my pet with me as well and we are both so thankful to be taken care of here!If I’m ever in the area again, I will definitely be back. Thank you, NTB!

Worst customer service I ever got I dropped my car off at 10:00 this morning had an appointment at 12:00 is now 12:43 they still hadnt taken my car I asked the manager how much longer it should be. He said another hour before they take it back highly disappointed as Ive always used national tire and battery for my tires and oil change services I would never come back to Burlington again to the national tire and battery. The Cary location is miles ahead of this branch as far as customer service is concerned.

After buying my new tires Ive had them rotated twice. They were very helpful and set up an appointment the next day and did the job a timely manner. Kudos for the remodeling. A more relaxed atmosphere with better interaction with the staff.

If I could give negative stars, I would. I had a blowout on the interstate on my way to Raleigh with a friend and was lucky enough to have someone from roadside service help me put on my spare. I then drove to the closest NTB, which was this one. I explain what happened to my car, and say I need a new tire, and the gentleman who greeted my friend and I just said it would be a few hours. I told him that was fine; I just wanted to get back to charlotte. He then looks at my car in the parking lot and says no one has the tire size. He said I need to go to x mitsubishi place and said its off blank road. I asked for specifics, and he just moved onto the customers behind us. Turns out, he never even looked at my tires because the Mitsubishi place I finally found said the numbers he had written down were 100% wrong and didnt even match my tires. It was beyond aggravating and I would never recommend that location. After quite a scare on the road, being treated like I was the biggest bother to this mans day was a blow.

Faster service than I expected. Serviceman was suppose to do Tires, Brakes and Rotors. However, a misunderstanding took place and only the Tires and Brakes were done until speaking with the employee. The issue was rectified quickly and professionally.

They broke a caliber off my truck and I paid for it to be repaired somewhere else. They didn’t even say they’d fix it for me for breaking it and went in for an alignment and don’t know if they even did it because there machine was broke the next day. I will never go back there again

Set up appt online arrived and was told they didnt have anyone to do the inspection that was scheduled no call no email nothing. Always an excuse with these guys either they dont have enough people or can only do the work if you can leave your vehicle all day for a 30 min job.

I have never been treated so rudely. I was the first customer of the morning. The staff was very unpleasant in demeanor. The manager, Sam, was especially rude. I needed a brake switch changed out. It literally only takes 5 minutes to switch out. I had the part with me. I did not mind waiting. Even though I was the first person there I assumed there would be cars in front of me from the day before. Sam was very short and rude towards me. I chose to take it there because that is where I had bought tires for my mothers car. We will no longer take our business there.

I had my oil changed at NTB in Burlington NC on 2/2/21. When I got in my car to leave all the lights in my dashboard was on. I told the gentleman about it and he went back inside and returned with a piece of paper stated that the lights were on when I brought the car in, and I know that that was not true. Which angered me at the time. He never afford to take a look at the car. I took my car to a friend and when he opened the hood there was something unplugged. He plugged it in and the lights went off. I think that since I am a female and Hispanic that he felt that he could do me that way. This is the second bad experience that I’ve had with this business. In the future, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

This store failed to honor my coupon. I have 2 cars used the coupon on vehicle and because the wait time was 2 hours. The gentleman was very nice when my husband was present to do the first vehicle. That gentleman even saved my coupon so when I returned I wouldn’t have any problems.... I return THE MANAGER Chad I believe did not want to honor my coupon and failed to hear what I had to say. What a way to put a bad taste in my mouth. Rude!!

I had an inspection done and when I tried to get my sticker with DMV they said the car inspection had the wrong car and VIN Number. What kind of mess is that. So when I looked at the paperwork it was on my old car that I had inspected before. This is crazy. I would never go there again.

Love that I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. The competition wanted me to leave my car for 2-4 hours.

I wish i could give this place zero stars. First of all, I waited over an hour to get one tire put on and there was not a wait.. The employees were very rude and treated me like a second class citizen. I dont know what the problem was but i wont be back.

We stop to get a tire patched at the Burlington location and was told that they may not get to it today because of the appointments that were obviously fake. They then referred us to Firestone so we are now on the way to Firestone after stopping to get air in our tire. If you want professional service go elsewhere.-----Just an update...Firestone was able to patch my tire in an hour even with all of their appointments. Will never go to a ntb again!---

James was great!. He should get a pay raise and the rest of the week off. He was superb in taking care of my elderly mothers car and getting her safely back on the road. This gentleman is a credit to the NTB organization.

I was 5 minutes early, only customer 25 minutes later I walked in the back and found 2 employees and said I made an appointment to avoid waiting could I have my keys, one employee saidthey havent started your car? I said isnt it your job to see they did? Can I have my keys? They did so I left. So my visit was very disappointing!

The Customer Service person that helped us was wonderful, he made sure we got the right tires for my sons car. They were really quick for us getting there on a Saturday after 5pm. I would recommend anyone needing tires to go here. They even gave us a discount on the 3 year alignment package for buying 4 tires. Great customer service from everyone that worked there.

Horrible experience. Lied to try and get me to buy a tire, had spare put on and the inexperienced tire tech couldnt get the spare off the truck alone. Didnt check the air in it before putting it on, drove off and it went flat and had to go back to get air put in it. Next day went to Southern tire and got everything fixed and had no issues. I didnt need a new tire like I thought. I wouldnt let the people at NTB put air in a float. Save your money and headache, go somewhere professionals know what to do, not minimum wage teenage boys.

They were very helpful and gave me a good price on a set of new tires. The service is a little slow, had an appointment and still waited about 20 minutes before taking my car to get serviced. Employees were friendly and courteous.

Wow! Where should I begin. This establishment is ran by crooks! They will lie, cheat and attempt to steal your money. Tried to charge me $160.00 to remove my battery! Two bolts to loosen the anchor rod and two bolts to loosen terminals. There goal is hoping the customer will go along with their dishonest pricing. Same visit repaired passenger side tire rod supposedly! Two days after picking up vehicle my passenger side tire flies off the car going 70 mph down hwy 40. Thankfully no one was injured in this accident! After having the vehicle towed come to find out the tire rod was never replaced. If you value your hard earned money and potentially your life I would encourage you to go else where!!!!

My tire kept going low and they provided me with excellent service.

They told me that they needed a special tool to balance my tires....not so. They had a bay down and were running behind. Went to Discount Tires down the street and they laughed when I told them what NTB said. I was in and out with tires balanced at Discount Tires in less than 30 minutes. No more NTB FOR ME !!!

I recently visited here (out of necessity) to replace two of my tires after an unfortunate flat. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the prices were economical. They were even spot-on with when they predicted my car would be ready to go — that never happens!

I discovered a slow leak in my tire and just popped in to this location and glad I did. They checked my tire and sure enough there was a nail in it. The gentleman who checked my tire was great and said they had a special for servicing due to the hurricane. Good, go ahead and fix it. Young man who fixed the tire was very nice and polite also. When I went to check out, I was told special ended the previous day. Thats ok, I was just glad to get it fixed before heading home and received great service.

They were great ! Had my oil changed and got my battery replaced, very prompted & they checked my car and had notified me about things that were coming up for a change (which I was fully aware of beforehand) amazing pricing on tires as well!

I went in without an appointment for a couple relatively minor repairs. The mechanics were very accommodating and helpful and repairs were priced reasonably. After some driving I noticed some issues had remained so I brought my car back. Richard, the mechanic who serviced my car the first time quickly resolved the problem and explained the issue to me. I will definitely be returning in the future.

These guys are Awesome.....After several weeks of diagnosing my 2012 Impalas strange thumping noise that varied in frequency at lower speeds the manager along with his associate from another location was able to resolve this long endured, annoying issue. Much effort was spent by this NTB operation.I really appreciate their professionalism, persistence, and helpful attitude.

Awesome mechanics with great customer service. They remind me of the original mechanics that would check your car from fender to bumper and give you an estimate so you knew what was wrong with your car. Also, they have a great turnaround time with your car running smoother than it was before.

Had my first experience visiting NTB yesterday for a wheel alignment and oil change. Excellent customer service. The gentleman that was behind the counter went out of his way to make me feel welcome and continually kept me informed of what was happening with my vehicle. In speaking with a few other customers that were waiting for their vehicles to be repaired they had nothing but great things to say about NTB. I now have found a place to have my car serviced that I feel confident will do a good job and be fair with their prices. I am a retired Sr. Citizen (and a female) and did not want to be taken advantage of and I certainly did not feel that way.

These guys are great. They are professional and they are gentlemen. My wife was there when the place closed, rather than getting in their cars and leaving they made sure she was safe and had a way home.

Called up to get a quote on new tires, got a heck of a deal on four new 70,000 mile tires with warranty and flat repair included. They were running a fantastic special that beat out all competitors prices at the time. They also gave me a deal on a 5 year alignment plan with getting new tires. Talked to Ron and he was nothing but friendly and helpful. The only thing I can knock them for is it did take longer than expected to change the tires and align but the friendly service and great price keeps them at a 5 star for me.Ive noticed the poor reviews were from at least 2 years ago, so Id say this place has really improved if those reviews were truthful and I would recommend giving them a try if youre in the market for tires!

Made an appointment online for oil change 2015 Chevrolet Cruz. Get there and their telling me they only carry synthetic oil for my car $72.00 pffff I dont think so

Ive been bringing my Subaru to this particular shop for about 4 years now for everything from oil changes, tires and inspections to major work (last year needed head gaskets and a few other things replaced that took days of labor to complete) and they have always done quality work for fair prices. Ive never gotten the impression that theyre trying to overcharge me, or try to sell me something that isnt necessary. Everyone Ive spoken to that works there is friendly and knowledgable and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them for anything auto related! Happy to have you guys in Burlington, NTB!

I had gotten a flat tire on my truck and needed to get it patched. I took my truck to this shop right after work, the man that waited on me was so helpful and friendly! They were a little busy but fit me in between the costumers they were already working on. I was in and out in under an hour! I was so thankful for their service and it will definitely be a place that I go to in the future!

Ok here is the scoop. Read the reviews, tried it, and here is my experience. Went online scheduled $19.99 oil change appointment for 1:30. Arrived at 1:30, checked in, service done, and left at 2:45. Thus 75 minute start to finish. In contrast to a 30 minute Express Lube oil change only, this is not your place, and the reason why. They checked car from top to bottom and recorded what needed attention. Service manager came to talk with me about what they found and said he would provide estimate of costs. No high pressure sale at all. Just good inspection of car and estimated cost of repairs. All this at no charge to me. Felt all was under the auspices of F.Y.I. only. So if you are looking at 30 minute speed only oil change, this is not your place. If you want to wait little longer for an exacting inspection of your car to find out what else is wrong that you are not aware of, then this is your place. Prices reasonable and competitive. Staff knowledgeable, friendly, and for what they do timely. Yes I recommend them, and I will go back to have the items taken care of that was brought to my attention.

NTB the best place to get autos fixed. They are friendly and know their stuff never try to sell you something you don’t need. I came from out of state a little over a year ago I always used tire kingdom for my car since 2007. They are the same company all my records came with me and they can see last time what they did. I trust them so much. Before I go on a trip I have them check everything out for me. My car has now 110,080 miles in perfect shape including my tires since 2015 because they rotate and balance. I highly recommend NTB in Burlington NC

Fast, friendly and knowledgeable. Comfortable lounge for waiting and they also keep overnight if you need/prefer. Very clean. They do great work, theyre now my go-to.

The service here is great. They always take care of me. They are always busy, so make an appointment if you can. But if you have a problem the try to work you in, it just may take some time.

I dont know much about cars but they seem to do a thorough job. What I like best is how they take me back and show me the issue and explain what Im seeing. They are a little unorganized but they mean well.

The gentleman at the front desk seemed friendly enough and informative upon checking in for my prescheduled appointment. As I sat in the waiting area, I waited and waited and waited as my car sat in the parking lot. I checked in at ~8:55. My appointment was at 9. My car was not pulled into the garage until a few minutes ago at 9:50. Thus, I am still waiting. I figured scheduling an appointment at 9 would mean they are ready for my vehicle at 9. Perhaps they are just understaffed. Should you read this review, expect to spend some time hear or makes plans to drop off.

Went for oil change,got my truck back and both passenger and driver doors are smudged with oil!! Went to tell guy inside and he gets tech and the tech just looks at me while in trying to clean it off.Not one time did I get an apology! Then I realize the sticker they give you to remind you of the oil change was 7000 miles off,not a great big deal but harder to keep track of

Im truly upset, my first couple of visit were awesome. No complaints. I guess when I bought my BMW for a major problem they decided to go for broke. They told me it would cost $1,400.00 to fix at the low end. I couldnt afford to put that much in the car and refused. Had it towed home. Had another mechanic look at it after I sold it and he put in a new battery and did some minor things that didnt cost no more than $30.00 and drove it away. Never go NTB Alone ladies. Or Beware!!!!

I recently needed a tire because mine got a hole in it (because of my own ineptitude). Took it to Merchants on a Sunday afternoon and got a great deal and awesome service. I live in Greensboro and had never been to the Burlington store. I would definitely go back.

Decent Service. Over a year ago months back I started having trouble with one of my tires and the result was the aluminum rims had not been cleaned properly of corrosion, which made the tire leak down. And a couple of months ago I started having trouble with another tire. I was frustrated and thought it was probably the same problem. So I explained to them what had happened the first time. They took the car in and actually found a near microscopic nail in it. They patched it for free outside of my coverage package. I appreciate their generosity and promptness.

I typically change my own oil but when a coupon showed up for a $20 oil change it was hard to pass up. This is the second time that I have waited nearly 2 HOURS for an oil change (WITH an appointment!). Even with the $15 off coupon it is not worth my time sitting there all afternoon waiting for a very simple procedure to be completed. I also noticed that their prices seemed super high for other procedures (power steering fluid change is nearly $100 bucks, WHAT?) Save yourself the trouble and go someplace else.

The guys at Merchants were extremely helpful during a recent visit. Even though they were slammed with other customers they found a way to be of assistance and got me on my way. Price was very fair.

To whom it may concern: Today I went this shop for fix my oxygen sensor 1bank 2. I had terrible bad experience with two people, one store manager, TYRONE BRIGGS and sales associate Ronald Pickard. According to auto zone, advance zone and Express care I have above problems. Store manager ask me to buy this item he will fix this problem. Auto zone stated that you need only one sensor, and came back the shop mechanic scan again and he ask me to buy one more sensor, (R & L). Then again I got that too. Before fix the problem my check engine light was on. After all I fixed pay the bill $164.63 only labour. Even though light was on and I ask Manager he said, ok get it done another mechanic. After one mile drown again check engine light was on. Again I came the shop explained the situation. His attitude was very bad and never expected this kind of attitude in my life. He ask me to spend more $100.00 then he will tell what is the exact problem. Bottom line is I spent $120.00 for two sensors and labour charges total it comes $284.63. and my whole day wasted for the issue. Till my problem was not solved. He told me that I am not takes any responsibility about this matter. If some one looking for this complaint my humble request is dont go to fix your car this place. They are totally not only money making but value of our time and money. Honestly telling you that there is no customer care this place.
