The biggest scam. How can justify charging people over $75 when the law says different? The kid from Buffalo on YouTube exposed this business I wouldnt recommend to anyone with a business or ethics.

This company is known for predatory towing and unlawful booting tactics. Customer service is zero help- rude, crass, and obviously uneducated. Hopefully the city of buffalo continues to crack down on this horrible business. If you google them, theres a plethora of complaints of people who had the same experience. they prey on any parking area they can, hassling people to pay cash under the table or pay a higher price, or have their car towed.

I had a terrible experience with this towing company. My sweet grandmother was at a restaurant and went to get her purse from my car. While this happened my sister, who had drove her to the restaurant, got her car booted. They claimed because she had left the property her car was able to be towed. This company uses malicious tactics in order to squeeze money out of otherwise non-suspecting individuals. Poor grandma almost had a heart attack.

Completely unprofessional and unethical business, just like the rest of the reviews here show. Booted my car in a Sunoco parking lot, within 2 minutes of my arrival. Was going to two stores, one being the Sunoco. When I came back to my car two minutes later, my car was both booted and blocked in by the tow truck, as the employees harassed me to pay them on the spot rather than have my car towed. Employees were rude and unprofessional throughout their entire predatory “transaction”. Anyone using this business should consider just about any other company

They came and got my vehicle fast.They fixed everything that the accident I was in destroyed. It didnt cost an arm and a leg. They were both very professional and explained to me everything that was going on with my vehicle while it was getting fixed.

WHACK service! went across the road to give a homeless dude some food from the gas station, i was gone for 2 MINUTES. i came back to a guy with a tow behind my car telling me to pay $120 to take the boot off my vehicle, then proceeded to tell me he would take it off for $80 UNDER THE TABLE because he felt nice. outraged is an understatement

Came out of Sunoco at 460 Elmwood to see the booting my car because I “was parked on private property” even though the sign in the parking lot says “Sunoco customers only”. I had a receipt. I have my debit card transactions online that reflect the same information. My receipt was time stamped 19:10:49 and the time on the boot sticker on my window was 19:11. You mean to tell me that in less than 5 minutes I was in the store, you just so happened to drive by and boot my car? You didn’t think to wait another 30 seconds for me to come out? Not only that, but the drivers booting my car refused to look at my receipt and said they “didn’t care. The boot is already on so I have to pay $81 and some change to get it off”. I sat in my car and called my husband (who works for a REPUTABLE TOWING COMPANY). And he said “just pay it, they’re not going to take it off. We have heard thousands of complaints about them, just pay it”. As I was on the phone, they came over and stuck a SECOND boot to my passenger side rear tire and tried to tell me I now have to pay TWO boot fees for “wasting their time.” Again, wanted nothing to do with the TWO forms of proof I had showing I was IN THE STORE when they were booting my car. Not only that, but the moment they guys got their money, they started belittling and swearing at me. I have a video of all of this, both from the dash cam on my car (that also clearly catches me walking into the store and then rolling up literally 30 seconds later, while I’m STILL IN THE STORE) and my cellphone, including all the nasty things those drivers were saying, and I would LOVE to send them to the owner. I refused to pay the second boot fee, threatened to (and subsequently did) call and attorney about the second boot. The second boot was removed at no charge. I should not have been charged AT ALL, but the clerk said many, many people have also had this same problem. Unethical and disgusting. If you really needed that $81, I would have given it to you without all the hassle. It’s sick to extort people.

This company needs to be audited. Didnt come with mask on violating CDC guidelines and treated me as if being Latino was illegal. Tried to extort me for money while being undermining and lacking proper ettiquett. Looking for great service go elsewhere.

Well I was charged $75 to be tow on GENESEE. Come from Delavan and Courtland. Which is less than a mile. Besides pricing. Pretty decent driver

Lightning Towing doesn’t even deserve one star. They thrive on predatory towing practices and practically steal money from honest hard working people. They will boot your vehicle and charge you upwards of $100 to remove the boot. Fortunately when you run a shady business karma will always catch up to you when you don’t have the proper permits and licenses. This company gives towing professionals a bad name.

These guys are great. Called up talked to a guy named Mark . Gave a lower price than three other companys and like theyre sign says. They were there in a flash. I will definitely call againJust not soon I hope 😃😃😃😃😃⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very professional and curtious! The most reasonable price around! Scott came to my rescue and even helped me brush all the snow off of my car and gave me a jump since its been sitting for a couple months w/o being started! Thank you Mark and Scott for everything!

Called around and they had the lowest quote for a Tow. They showed up fast and where very nice to deal with. When I need another tow, I know who Ill be calling. I highly recommend their service.

Parked at Aldi with a 6 and 4 year old at 3:35. Stopped at the market for picture with the bunny and a dessert. We were dropping our bags off in the car the then grocery shop for the week at Aldi, only to find out our car was booted by 3:40. So I paid the extortion of $60 and took my $200 of grocery shopping to Wegmans in the suburbs. This is despicable behavior and a shady way to do business. You made your $60 today, but will never get my business, and cost that Aldi hundreds of dollars in revenue. Happy Easter!

Booted my car at aldi and stated that I wasn’t allowed to park there when i most certainly was. I paid them to take off the boot and they took the receipt and the note left on my car so that there was no evidence and drove away. Crooked business out to hurt hard working buffalonians. Beware of this company...They illegally boot cars while their license to tow is expired. The lazy owner is just looking for quick cash grabs

This company is deceitful . Here they claim they are open 24 hours, however when you attempt to pickup the car over the weekend in person or contacting them by phone, they do not make themselves available. They charge you $40 a day storage fee, not allowing you to pick it up over the weekend.
