Vitos is a classic barbershop. This one man show is a true gem. Best hair cut I have had in 3 years. Im excited to get my hair cut because I know it will always look good. I had a really bad experience at Vito’s.First I tried to show how I wanted my hair and he said he had ’an idea’. I tried to chit-chat a little bit while he was cutting my hair to break the ice.Then, after I realized he was done cutting the top part, I look at him in the mirror and he says “Don’t worry, later you can fix it the way you want”.It happened, that after he passed the machine on the sideburns and on the back of the neck, he said the haircut was done (he didn’t even used the razors on it).I said that it was still too long on the top and he kept pulling off the smock of me and giving room to the next customer.So I say, I’m not happy with it and I wanted him to fix it and make the way I wanted it. Then he says I don’t have to pay and tell me to should leave.Something like this never happened in my whole life. I wasn’t rude in any point, I was trying to get my haircut the way I wanted.And now, after he said it was done, I have long parts of hair under my ears and the top part is too long.He did a sloppy job and was really rude.

Came into the small shop hoping to get cleaned up for a wedding, Vito was cutting hair when we entered and did not say hello. I sat down thinking I could wait and he abruptly said that he didnt cut womens hair, despite the fact that I have short masculine hair.I just wanted the sides shaved with a buzzer, something so simple I would have done myself if I wasnt travelling here for a wedding. I politely asked what the difference was because my hair was short enough and really hair is hair and he said he wouldnt do it. Disappointed by this boys club attitude and his rude demeanour.Its one thing to politely decline, its another entirely to be rude and abrupt.

Vitos has a friendly, small town feel; he has neighborhood regulars, including the mailman.At $13 for a reg. mens haircut, the prices are quite reasonable.Its a one man operation, so there can be a bit of a wait time when its busy. When I walked in, in the late morning on a Thursday, there was someone in the chair and 1 guy on deck. I waited 5-10 minutes; during which 2 more fellows arrived.He cut my hair exactly how I asked; this turned out to not be the best thing, as I am often unsure of what I want and frequently depend on my barbers professional opinion of what will look good.Perhaps Im being too harsh with my new do because I havent cut my hair in several months and its taking some time to adjust to the short hair.
