2nd time renting a car from Hertz within 3 months. Very professional and friendly staff. Carlos was very helpful. Had no hassles at all. We will definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to family and friends.

I had a reservation that I had made online. They had a shipment of vehicles but for some reason it didnt come in. The person there, Carlos made some calls and was able to get me a car. It was a bit more but thankful he got me going great job Carlos.

Was given a quote of $430 for my total for the entirety of the rental this included full coverage and gas. Was ultimately charge $700 (almost double). No damage, no fuel charges, was purely a bait and switch and now nobody answers the hertz customer service number. Never using hertz again.Update: Hertz ended up honoring their original rate after an extended amount of time on the phone. I was within the 24 hour window of return but I guess there is even extra small fine print about not returning within the same hour indicated in paperwork.

I rented a vehicle from this location for pickup on Memorial Day and when I arrived they were closed due to the holiday. I called the Hertz mainline to try to get assistance and was told that there was no available locations open locally. I needed to be at work first thing the next morning, these people left me without transportation in a city I’ve never been to before and no way to get to work. If they knew they were going to be closed they shouldn’t have taken the reservation in the first place.

Mr Carlos Barrientos gave me such an outstanding service on my rental. We need more people like this to help us out with the car renting process. If I could rent from him in va I would do more rentals with hertz and I will definitely look forward to renting from this location on any future trips! Thank you so much for your kindness and patience through it all!

Worse customer service ever ! I literally rented a 30 minute Lyft ride from S Padre island yesterday to pickup My rental that I had reserved two days in advance. Only to arrive to find out that they sold my reservation to someone else which left me stranded. I ended up having to purchase another Lyft ride to another rental provider! 😡. What a bunch of bumbs !!!

Fair prices great choice of vehicles

The company in charge of my work vehicle called Hertz to set up a rental while my vehicle was being serviced at a nearby dealership. They contacted Hertz who asked if they could call me back since they had a customer they were dealing with. I waited awhile with. I call back so I walked 10 minutes in 106 degree weather to save time. It’s Friday and I’m over an hour drive away from my home.I get to the rental place and I’m asked to wait again while they slowly check a guy out while chit chatting with him and his kids. Towards the end the guy tells me he doesn’t think they have a vehicle available but they might have a cancellation. I really could have used that information an hour ago so I could make other arrangements instead of wasting my time. I call again to set up another vehicle rental with another company and leave. Later on they try to call and text me that a car was available. I specifically requested a truck or van, something I can put equipment inside. I doubt the one car that became available for that description.They should manage their time better and give important information sooner rather than later.

1st time Ive ever rented a car! Happy it was at this location. Great service, and Marcos followup phone call while I was traveling, to be sure everything was going well with the vehicle, was an appreciated gesture!

I had an excellent experience at this Hertz location that I believe is worth sharing. The first day of my rental, the brand new rental car suffered significant cosmetic damage at my own complete fault. The paint came off the vehicle and I expected the cost to me was gong to be ridiculous because of my preconceived notions about how rental car companies made money. The next day, I did the right thing and took the vehicle to this location and the service manager, Jesus, documented the damage and assured me that he would do his best to take care of the matter. When I returned the vehicle, I was advised that there would be no cost to me to repair the vehicle, and the service manager thanked me for disclosing the damage. I couldnt stop smiling for the rest of the day, and it is truly because this Hertz location understands the value of customer satisfaction and customer retention. It was more important to Jesus and Hertz that I have a good experience rather than trying to squeeze every last nickel out of the ordeal. Other rental car services may cost you less to rent, but when bad things happen (and they will) you want someone you can trust. Thats why if you need a rental car in Brownsville; go to this one. Its that simple.
