I chose this business to help with my move after receiving multiple estimates from moving companies & found this one to be the most reasonably priced. The movers arrived on time at my place to load my furniture& this was accomplished in a timely manner. I have now received my belongings & everything was fine except for a few broken glasses & cups, but that is probably due to a poor packing job on my part.The only downside , & I know moving companies are extremely busy , but I would have appreciated being kept informed as to when my furniture might arrive instead of getting a call the night before that my furniture is going to be delivered the following morning, but all in all I believe this is a great moving company.

The crew that helped us on both ends were amazing. They knew how to break down an antique armoire and then reassemble it! I didn’t even know it did that. They were prompt, efficient, polite and very patient with us. Everything made it to our destination in good shape. They wrapped and protected all our furniture. A great company to deal with and an excellent price quote. I even received a discount on the quote as there was not as much to be moved as originally thought. Three items were accidentally broken, one beyond repair, but they did not question the value I place on these items they simply sent a check for the full amount. I highly recommend them and would use them again if I had to once again move. All involved in packing and loading worked in tandem with each other and not one word of complaint.

Spaeth Transfer in Bremerton was a great assistant in our out of state move. The contractor, Allied, was less than perfection and after three states and a transfer (could get big van close enough to our new home) we had several pieces of damaged furniture one dining room side chair almost looked like some one had stepped on the back rails. However that is attributable to the moving company and not Spaeth who coordinated the move. We’ve never before had problems with allied. On the positive the claims department is pretty responsive.

I had miss read the address due to my dislexia, and the lady at the front desk of the Bremerton location was extremely rude. She leaned so far forward over the counter I thought she was going to jump over and ring my neck for getting a couple numbers wrong. I was nothing but respectful and confused. She turned very aggressive for a situation where she wasnt even provoked. The company probably isnt bad. But she needs to learn some manners. I hope she never gets the same disrespect I did for getting the wrong address. And hopefully no one else that goes in there in the future. Intentionally or accidentally.

We used Spaeth to move from furniture and boxes a storage unit to our new house after using another company to move us from VA to the unit in WA. Everyone at Spaeth was friendly and professional. Our contact, Tasha, thoroughly explained everything in advance. and there were no surprises. The guys who moved the stuff were friendly, on time, professional and fast. The icing on the cake was that the final cost was less than the estimate (instead of thousands more as was the case with the movers who transported our stuff from VA to WA.) The guys who moved us were responsive to our requests for masks and social distancing due to COVID. Our only critique is that one gentleman wore a bandana instead of an actual mask. Research shows that bandanas are not nearly as effective as masks. It wasnt a big issue because we were able to keep a safe distance during the process. I highly recommend Spaeth!

Unbelievable service! I called Spaeth because I was leaving a very difficult situation with my landlord, and needed to move out during their busiest season, during the pandemic, on short notice. They were able to fit me in at a VERY reasonable price (half of what another firm wanted to charge me!)When it became clear on the first (packing) day what we were dealing with, they found extra crew for the next day’s transport and had everything out and loaded on to the truck in under two hours. They were kind, compassionate, and helpful - and the final charges were less than the already very reasonable quote!This was my second time using Spaeth, and I could not be happier. They saved me.

Based in the UK, we had to organise the shipping of some family furniture from the Port Townsend to England. The initial quote from Spaeth Transfer was not too different from other prices, but the key thing for us was the personal service from their agent Tasha McWhorter. Her communication skills were excellent, she was efficient and able to visit the property to assess and confirm pricing/sizing etc. Their packers were good and in the UK, their agents Pickfords were helpful with the customs clearance and delivery. We have been very satisfied with the service from start to finish.

She filled me with confidence as she explained how the doors, banisters and all my furnishing would be wrapped w blankets and shrink wrap. My moving day arrived and it was pouring rain, but Travis and his two man team showed up on line and proved themselves to equally be shining stars. Horrendous experience! The on line estimate went well and on the strength of that and the professionalism exhibited by Steve we booked this service. From that point on everything went to hell. The packagers showed up late and completed about 90% of the packing. The truck driver was scheduled to arrive the next day. He didnt show and although Jessica tried to intervene there was no central coordinator for our move. The driver never returned our numerous calls nor text messages. The excuse was that he was not good with texts. Come on really ??? In this day and age with phone apps you cant return a text. Sorry that dog dont hunt!Next day and official closing for the house, no confirmation of the show up time or if they would even show up at all! 9:00am two guys showed up and sat in there cars. No word from the driver. After jumping up and down and making a lot of noise the two helpers finally got out of their respective cars and at my request they started moving boxes into the garage so when the truck did arrive they were positioned to load. Eventually at 11:00AM the truck driver finally showed up with an additional helper. No-one brought boxes to finish the packing, nor did they bring protective wrapping for the remaining items that had to be packed. So I ended up running over to Home Depot to buy the necessary materials. AT 6:00pm the helpers wanted to quit and go home. If not for my own truck the house would not have been vacated in compliance with the sale contract and I ended up carrying the box spring and a number of additional items to their staging area.I still have a storage locker that need to be added to the load but they all quit for the night. The understanding was they would clean out the locker on Friday. As of this writing on Saturday at 9:40am I still do not know when they will move my storage locker.Yes this is a long post and some of the issues are not Spaeths responsibility, except I contracted with them and even although they work with contractors I expect them to manage the process. They should have sent packers back to the house to finish their work. They did not and they were no help in coordinating the drivers activity and or holding him accountable. The helpers and the drivers trailer reeked of marijuana and I am very concerned about the inventory process and whether the the truck will arrive at the destination in one piece and when scheduled. I gave one star because I could not give less than that.If I had not been in attendance during the move, I doubt they would have completed the move, and I would have violated my sale agreement.Summary do not use these people they are inept!I have made 7 household moves across country, and this has been the worst experience that I have had the misfortune to be a part of.

She promptly revised it as we changed our minds about what to move.Jenay, the owner, worked with us as our moving date changed several times and as we were uncertain if our items would need to go into storage or not. This required more quotes, which were quickly and gladly provided. In the end, she managed to get us the loading and delivery dates we needed, avoiding storage and saving us money.Finally, we were able to get almost all of our moving boxes from Spaeth for free - dish packs, picture boxes, TV boxes, wardrobes, etc. - as well as paper moving pads. We saved $200-$300 right there.

We recently moved from Marysville, WA to Long Beach CA. This was our first experience with interstate moving companies and after reading a lot of reviews of the various companies available we were quite worried about how it would go. We were pleasantly surprised with Spaeth Transfer as well as Allied who did a fantastic job start to finish. The movers were very communicative, on time, respectful and friendly. We even had a bit of a problem at the offload point in Long Beach when we found out late that the truck could not come directly to our complex so they had to plan a last minute transfer. The driver took care of it without complaint and was on time to deliver. I honesty could not recommend this company more. I will definitely be using them when we eventually return to Washington.

Spaeth recently moved our furniture and stored it for about 5 weeks while our wood floor was being refinished and the house was being remodeled. I have never dealt with a worse moving company. Among other things, they scuffed a leather chair, badly scratched a very expensive coffee table, and tore the lining on the bottom of a sofa. To top it off, they packed a very fragile piece of glass art, a $6000+ piece, in the bottom of a packing box and packed another heavy piece on it which of course, crushed the art piece. They didn’t use common sense in moving or packing and didn’t bother to take responsibility for any of it. Find another company.

On my pack out the crew damaged my wall, got in a yelling match cussing at each other. They seperated parts of an item that should be packed together and packed them in different boxes or just left them behind. They broke part of the control cover door off of a lpg refrigerator and didnt show any concern when I told them about it as it happened.Upon delivery of my order the crew was very concerned about my belongings and brought to my attention to things that they saw were damaged. We found other items damaged as we unpacked boxes and one box when we opened it had several sharp knives just placed in the box unwrapped.For the cost of the move and the amount of damage items it wasnt worth dealing with this company.

Great service. A little mix up they showed up at an hour early and wasted their time driving back to their office. But overall were quick and efficient and got me moved out and in about an hour ahead of my schedule.

We used Spaeth for our local move, and we chose to box everything ourselves so it was just their moving service we used. The day of, they arrived promptly and got right to work. One worker it seemed stayed outside most of the time and appeared to be handling the loading/arranging of the truck. The other worker loaded most of the boxes and furniture unless it required two of them. I’ll tell you, I’ve never seen anyone hustle that fast going up and down stairs! He was literally running a couple times. Our final bill came in under the estimate and I honestly think it was 100% because of that one worker. Would definitely recommend!

The 2 guys that moved me were right on time. They were very friendly and professiomal. They worked hard and got the job done in a timely manner. I will be moving my stuff back out of storage within the next month or 2 and I will definitely use Spaeth/Allied again!

I paid extra to have my furniture wrapped and stayed wrapped in storage. My furniture was all less than a year old. It arrived with legs broke completely off, scratched, and chunks of wood gauged out. My pendulum grandfather clock arrived missing the pendulum. It was my retirement clock. Lamp shades smashed, floor lamps twisted. No need to go on. Super disappointed because everyone was so nice but my furniture is a mess.

I have moved many times -- to many to count here. However, we just finished a move with Spaeth, and had a great experience! The guys that moved us (4 of them) were terrific, and were gentle with our stuff and very well organized! The only hiccup for us was that we were over our estimated time and cost as we werent 100% on target against the estimate. This was not the fault of the movers, but probably in the communication on the planning side -- I probably underestimated the stuff we have (always amazing when you see just how much you do have!).Would highly recommend Spaeth Transfer!
