The staff isnt all that personable. I wasnt greeted when i walked in. Honestly, there is always at least one piece of equipment out of service when I go there. They dont try to upgrade the equipment. They should really get another weight tree to put the attachments for the pulley machine. I saw one of the personal trainers talking on his cell phone while training a client. Seems very unprofessional.

I love this gym. I really wish they would 3xtend their hours back to midnight during the week.

Enjoyed my time at this gym. The staff could perhaps work on communication and being on the same page regarding scheduling.Corey was my trainer. He is very dedicated to what he does and takes it very seriously. He was very easy to work with. I appreciate his patience, effort and time while training me.

My wife tried to cancel her membership during COVID since the location was closed and there were no classes... no one would answer the phone and no one was at the club.... look at all of the others that tried cancel or are not going because there are no classes.She blocked additional charges on her credit card. She only joined for the classes which are still not open. Today someone from Youfit called and threatened to turn her over to a collection agent. We are filing a complaint with the Florida Depart of Consumer Affairs.

All employees Ive met here are extremely polite and respectful. Especially Richard, hes very helpful and great at giving advice for forms when needed! Besides employees they have 2 bench with olympic barbells and 2 sqaut racks with Olympic barbells. There dumbells range from 10-115 or so and have 3 accessory benches . Never had a problem with any of the machines, they work properly and are clean ( which they have plenty). Every time Ive went in the bathrooms/locker room have been clean. Overall a great place to work out.

I joined the club before COVID hit for classes. During covid in March they CLOSED the gym, I tried to call the main number and got no response to cancel-- voicemail full or kept ringing. I also sent emails as well with no response. After they reopened a couple months later, I asked them to cancel my membership per the date of covid, to which they said I should have come in?? How could I do that when they were closed??? The membership has already been inactive they told me and nothing else to do. Now Ive been hounded by them saying they are sending my account to collections.....I am now reporting them to the Florida Dept of Consumer affairs for their poor business dealings. FYI when I was there they were telling other customers that they would keep getting charged even if there were no classes!!

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! My girlfriend was a member here from 6/19 until this month. When the covid lockdown was put into place she froze her acct. About a month and a half later they unfroze her acct and, without informing her, billed her for 3 months. She caught the mistake/robbery attempt and went to the actual gym to talk to some nitwit who would not refund her. The next day I went in with her and was shocked when Sarah the manager outright denied her refund while admitting a billing error! She was completely and utterly useless. Dont waste your money.

Absolutely avoid this gym at all costs. Their personal trainer, Jansen, is an abusive and horribly manipulating person who threatened to come in with a gun and shoot everyone in the gym. He was reported and investigated by HR, who then decided to re-hire him and FIRE the girl that reported him. His place is disgustingly toxic and you should never feel comfortable there in a million years, especially as a woman. Do not support this joke of a place.

They kept charging me during corona pandemic. I called in March and asked them to cancel and they kind of pushed me to not cancel as they won’t b charging me. I was worried about the annual fee cuz it was due next month but I was assured they won’t charge me until October. I wanted to b a valuable customer so I waited patiently. In June I was charged with annual fee. Called them n they said it was yearly thing and that they would just freeze my account n I won’t b charged till August. In July I was charged again. Called them again and Someone answered. I explained them everything and she didn’t know what to do so I asked for a manager. A few minutes later someone named Tori answered. Thinking she was the manager I started explaining her everything. She cut me off in the middle and started talking. And then she just kept cutting me off and kept saying ‘what would u want me to do’ and everytime I asked her to refund my amount her response was ‘ I can’t do that’. She was really unprofessional so I asked if she was the manager and she said That she wasn’t. Told her if I could just speak to a manager who was more professional and polite . Her response ‘I’m gonna hang up now ‘ lol. I insisted if I could talk to a manager. She said there was no manager on duty and that they would call back when they come in (it was 12pm) or she said I could stop by and ask for a manager. Told her that I’m a medical staff and work with COVID patients so wouldn’t want to risk getting others infected so I couldn’t come. Ended up calling youfit in Sarasota and a manager was super nice and polite and did try to explain me everything in a decent manner. He even told me to come to his store and he would help me resolve the issue. Got a call after a few hours from Cortez gym and they told me my account was being revoked because I’m threatening to get others infected LOL. And was also told that I won’t get my refund because ‘it’s their policy.’ I have been with youfit for so many years and this is what loyal customers get.P.s. Michael is still cool tho.

Great experience! They have tanning beds and hydromassage which are wonderful and their staff (Tory, especially) are nice and professional. If you are in the area this is a gym you definitely have to visit.

Corey and Clark are so welcoming, helpful, and sweet. They closely monitor my training and are just as focused on my results as I am. The property is well maintained and its kept cool inside. I love that the treadmills have fans and tvs also!

Nice place except after your first free personal training session, they dont give you a copy of your exercises so you dont know what to work on but suggest more (paid) training. When you want to cancel your membership, they charge you $10 to cancel.

We purchased a daily pass there while on vacation on anna maria island. the club was clean, well maintained and the staff very professional and accommodating. the equipment was new as well. i highly recommend!!!

I went to Youfit before and loved it. I left for a year due to and overseas job.What happen to the ab and oblique machine? I know you can work those through free weights but not everyone can keep correct form due to age/injury. Im disappointed these machines are discontinued as they were previously a part of my daily work out routine.

You Fit on Cortez has a great staff, friendly, helpful and very patient with the seniors that work out there. Only negative is that it takes a long time to get equipment repaired. The two elypticals I use have not worked properly all winter!

I have to say that at first I was very upset with gym, two people in their team in particular that Ive had issues with in the year i had been there, but i spoke up and found Allie and Van, they are both supper nice and turn my decision around on leaving the gym, they have great customer service, the are supper nice and always have a smile, i have even signed my in laws in the silver sneakers class, they are loving that so far, and i have really find all their classes useful and helpful toward my goal of missing weight, i have been working with herbalife for my diet, but being able to go to all kinds of classes has also helped me loose 26lb in almsot 3 months! I am very happy with my results and get pushed when i see people in class older then me doing all the stuff, keeping me motivated.

Been a member for 3years now . Place is great and for 10$ a month you cant beat that. Crunch is a little more modern ,is bigger and has punching bags for my boxing training but I love you fit. Great gym 💪

Completely disgusted with this clubs lack of care or concern for their members. Do not allow yourself to get sucked into their personal training program. I had/have a surgical freeze in place (well, I thought I did) and they continued to charge me for my training even though I followed EVERYTHING they told me to do freeze my PT account. Now theyre telling me I still owe more money because they didnt put my freeze into place. I have canceled my training, yet they didnt even do that properly. Im being continuously harassed by corporate and told the club has to handle it and the club management does nothing to help me and says corporate has to handle it. I was even told medical/military trumps any policy, what a joke. $580 down the drain and Ive used 4 sessions. At this point I dont even want the other 8 sessions, I just want to stop being harassed and join a club that actually cares about their members. YouFit absolutely does not.

Good and getting better as they gradually upgrade their equipment. Excellent pricing plans, classes for both men and women, plenty of weights and equipment. No pool, or theyd have me for life.

Been with youfit for 5 years and always have liked the environment working out. All the equipment I use is there only problem I ever had was the dumbbells only go up to 90s if they moved to 120s I wouldnt need nothing more but still a really good gym!!

Every now and again they will switch the machines out with what look like refurbished or from another location to mix things up, unfortunately the last time resulted in the loss of a few machines I liked to use. Parking can get a little tricky when they have classes running.

Charged me for months while closed and told me they would freeze my account and apply when they reopened or I could get a refund. Chose to wait for them to reopen but eventually got another membership somewhere else after a month. I called to get a refund because I will not be returning for the months they said they would “credit” and now they won’t refund and are telling me it cost me $10 to cancel a membership I will no longer be using. Annoyyingggg

UPDATE 2020:OK. COVID19 is with us and now I just wish I could get some healthy workouts in :-( --socially distant and safely of course. As we enter June, a neighbor tells me of other gym openings....I have turned to PlanetFitness with my mask and trying to stay fit while I wait on my YouFit?UPDATE August: While I appreciate the pandemic trauma to all businesses, YouFit struggles and has lost their way more than most. I am getting collection calls to pay as their system shows an open/delinquent balance for the subsequent days after my departure. Amazingly, mgmt persists billing during closing and after officially completed termination paper work AND it includes the $24.95 full service fee--even though they reopened with limited hours/.no classes/no showers/limited attendees. They cannot deliver/earn the services billed. It is stunning that any good conscience would do this collection job, and claim to not have the authority to fix it. Its no wonder there are various lawsuits against their tactics. Its like Hotel California. You can check in anytime but you can never leave.:-)

Pretty good, a lot of machines and space. I just wish the towel policy was enforced. Almost no one has a towel and those who do just use it to wipe their face.

While working out there, can never get ahold of management because they always seem to leave early. While waiting at the desk to finish transactions the fitnes director constantly makes sexual remarks to employees about members currently working out.

I thought this was a good place until they continued to collect money from members during the shutdown. They didnt answer calls, emails or messages.

This place sucks!!!!! They give you all the wrong info. to get you to sign up, and then you find out what you were told is all incorrect and the people who signed me up lied or were just not properly trained and not one of them was still working there. Hmmmm, that says something right there. Anyway, they did not honor anything I was told, and I was also charged $50.00 to cancel which I was told would never happen with the special plan I took. Very bad experience! Also while attending the gym I see that people use the equiptment but do not clean when they are done which had me cleaning before and after use.Did not see the the staff cleaning either. Also wrong!! Then to top things off, after being charged $ 50.00 to cancel, I get charged again for November. Called and gave all info. to rectify this and here I sit 3 weeks later and nothing. no phone call and now I am calling them to take care of this, and I get no answer. I will now have to waste more of my gas to go there in person again to get my money refunded. I dread it as they are not professional at all. I highly recommend that anyone thinking about going to this gym reconsider and save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else where they are honest or at least well trained.

I WOULD NEVER USE YOU FIT EVEN IT WAS A GIFT OR FREE...I HAVE BEEN A VICTIM FOR ONE YR AND THEY WILL HEAR FROM FOR ABOUT THAT LONG EVERY WEEK...Do not join this club try planet Fitness or LA Fitness as you will regret it. BEWAREBeware of this place. They have very unethical charging practices when it comes to cancellation of membership and hiring a trainer. I had a bad experience with YOUFIT and as I did more research found out that they were SUED by BBB for shady business practices including charging customers credit cards for trainers and memberships when they already cancelled.In my experience, I was interested in cancelling my membership, called to do so and was informed by a member of their staff that I had to come in person that I didn’t call soon enough so I would be charged an additional month fee. The staff member instructed me to come in person to cancel by a certain date. I came in by that date as directed and was told yet again, I didn’t come in soon enough and I would be charged yet another monthly fee plus the $10 to cancel. I explained to the manager Ally what I was told by a member of her staff and the date they gave me and she just shrugged her shoulders and said “nothing I can do.”Its not the money, It’s the principle of customer. Little does she know I just moved in across the street and have worked out for 20 years. I have been a gym or YMCA member consistently for 10 years. Due to health issues I needed to cancel for a few months and WAS planning on joining again in a few months and be a long term member. Definitely not, and now that I know they have been sued for practices my business is going elsewhere.
