Kenny and his staff were so kind to fix my brakes 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday! I felt bad they had to stay late but they assured me it was no problem! They were efficient and personable and gave us bottled water while we waited. This auto shop has great honest service and the prices were great too; Best place for car service in town ! They changed my ignition but the key wasn’t right so I got stranded. Two belts fell off my cars they had worked on, stranding me. My brakes squeeled after they put on brakes without bothering to get the paper off the disks and they called me crazy even tho my car was squeeling down the road. Then I went to get an oil change and the plug was so stripped they can’t get it off! Nice job Kenny.

My mom has used this mechanic for years and now for the last few times repair was made on her vehicle in which had to be redone within two weeks. Also, if you do work on vehicle and charged for repairs and then have to be redone shouldnt have to charge the second time. I will never bring my vehicle to this mechanic. Also, she has found another mechanism.

They did a repair on wheels and brakes. Did not put the rotor back correctly In fact it was installed backwards. Causeing it to fail on the highway leaving us stranded. When we informed them of malfunctioning part. They offered no reimbursement. We were hung up on.

The owner and staff are consistently honest about the repairs and the prices cant be beat! I had another shop tell me I needed additional hundreds of dollars of unnecessary repairs and when I declined give me an attitude. I called Kennys to get a quote and they knew right away I probably didnt need what I was told and sure enough I didnt so I walked away with half the cost of the repairs! Very reliable and trustworthy.

Kennys recently did a complete brake job for me. I called and they were able to take me right away and did an excellent job. The service was quick, efficient and everyone very knowledgeable and friendly. Best part for me is it is conveniently located in downtown with very competitive prices.

After overheating, they got me in right away and put a new radiator in. Only they put the wrong cap, causing me to overheat repeatedly and blew my head gasket. When I called, they were rude and dismissed my complaint as false.

My family has been coming to Kennys Auto Repair & Service for over 10 years and have never had a bad experience. Kenny and his crew of mechanics are always honest, friendly, and above all they do a great job! I live in St. Pete now but still bring my car down to Kenny’s because I know I can trust them. Updated Review:I went back into Kennys recently because my brakes were making a high-pitched noise. Kennys made the repair, charged me $200, and sent me on my way. As the weeks went on, I noticed that the high-pitched noise wasnt going away, but decided to give the issue a bit more time.A few weeks after that, I took my car back in because it was refusing to start after I pumped gas. The owner explained the issue but didnt take a look at my car -- he only went off of my verbal explanation.I took my car to a different mechanic. This mechanic told me that Kennys had installed cheap brakes on my car (hence the persistent high-pitched noise), and, had this new mechanic done the work, he would have charged me less--about $150, if I remember correctly.In short, disappointed. I dont think Ill take my vehicle into Kennys again. Im still giving them two stars because the employees are usually rather polite.Original Review (5 Stars):I went to Kennys earlier today because I noticed smoke inside my vehicle. Kenny at Kennys Kars sincerely cares about quality and customer care. He is honest when he says,Stop by anytime your car gives you concern, and I will make time to check it out. He did this for me many times when I stopped by regarding sudden car issues. He is a mechanic of his word. He has fixed my 20 year old Honda many times and does not overcharge. One time he was generous enough to replace a repair service for FREE even after the warranty had expired. Great guy! Great team! Great place!

I love going to this place cuz they always do me right. And then never overcharge me sometimes they find a way to make it even cheaper. So when I come back they go oh it was cheaper than we thought.

I take my 2015 Ford Edge to Kennys for routine service. Theyve always gotten me in at my scheduled appointment times and have always done a complete and competent job while Ive waited. And the cost is less than the dealership charges for the same work. Based on my experience, I definitely would recommend Kennys!

Kennys workers shop replaced an engine in my 1984 corvette I have had 3 master mechanics take a look a the work his shop had done installing the engine, all 3 told me they have never seen such poor work. There is oil pouring out of this car everywhere its smoking like its on fire, call me Kenny if you want to make this right. 7 thousand dollars car dont run properly

Hands on ownership provides more care and quality of work. Kenny was involved in the entire process start to finish. I had a blown rear main seal which lead to the ac clutch going out, one of the more costly repairs you can have on a truck. That said, the out the door price was more than fair. Kennys Automotive came highly recommended and maintains that recommendation 5 STARS THANKS YOU GENTLEMEN. Oh and miss Patty for putting up with my pestering.

I have serviced our 2 cars when we lived in Manatee County and still drive 21 miles from Sarasota just because I absolutely trust this mechanic - Where else can you see what they are doing with your car? I was walking by because I have a flat tire on my car and I asked one of the workers if they do tire work so I can get a replace the tire he blatantly ignored me treated me like I wasn’t there turned his back to me and insisted on refusing to talk to me and as a worker in that field customer service is what you want so I’m giving a one star because of the people that work on your cars I wish I knew their names so you can get some real good workers that won’t run away clientele

Kennys Auto Repair is a great example of shopping your local businesses. They have been so helpful, kind and considerate of me. I am a know-nothing little old lady and they have taken immediate care of me and my car when I needed it and never over charged me. Their work is excellent!!! You can trust them and their work.

Kennys has worked on my two vehicles for the last couple of years. They are both older vehicles and require more than average maintenance. The guys at Kennys have been upfront and honest about the repairs needed and not needed. They do not oversell repairs as some shops do. My car was hesitating and wouldnt accelerate past 20MPH. I was so afraid the problem was going to be a fuel issue which is usually an expensive fix. The check engine light was on. When I called, I spoke to Stephanie and she said they would hook it up to a diagnosis machine. I drove the car over and to my delight the repair was very easy and I was in & out within an hour with very little expense. I recently brought my car here to have a water pump replaced. The price was decent. After picking up my car, I was furious to find out my air conditioning was no longer working when it was perfectly fine before I brought the car there to get fixed. So I brought it back. Instead of taking responsibility for messing up my AC, I was fed some bullcrap that it is the radiator going out which was a lie because afterwards I had my radiator looked at by someone else who says it is fine. The guy was even trying to charge me $500 for a new radiator when it wasnt broken. This place was a complete scam. This is very unacceptable! I have a 1 year old that cant ride in a car with no AC, in the middle of summer, in FLORIDA! Im furious.

The steering wheel pulled off my 1984 Corvette when I went to get a pack of cigarettes. It looked like a huge debacle but gratefully Kennys Auto Repair was able to fix it and under a few hours and for less than $100.
