I can only speak of the womens restroom...always is not as clean as it should be plus one toilet should be placed out of order as it never properly flushes! No seat covers even offered. Locker area bench always has spots on it .Overall could use more frequent cleaning visits in my opinion. Gym itself as for cleanliness is subjective but again more deep cleaning needed for sure. As a member my comparison of my home gym in California is what I am going on.

I always enjoy coming to this gym. I had my account frozen and when I came back in to get it started again, it was so quick and easy. I also had to change my card information and that was super easy also. The staff are always so nice and helpful and good job on adhering to the mandate! I will definitely be coming back

Stopped in for a quick workout and shower while on a cross country road trip (I’m from Nevada). I was anxious about the gyms in Kentucky since my friend told me the state is strict. Thankfully I didn’t run into any problems in regards to the restrictions. Locker use is limited, but there were enough available.Had a nice workout and I enjoyed the shower area. The only downside is no changing stalls, other than toilet stalls. I like the ability to zip in and out of the changing stall into the shower, rather than walk across the room with a towel on. Thankfully there is enough room in the shower area to leave your items and they won’t get wet. Changing is difficult however and requires you to do standing up. The chair was wobbly and I could not sit on the floor, otherwise I would be exposing myself due to the curtain that does not reach the floor.Those are small things however. Overall it’s a nice gym, but I’m glad a majority of the PF locations have a changing area for the shower.

Emily at the front desk at this planet fitness location was very rude to me and my boyfriend when we came in. We usually go to the Highlands location in Louisville. I have never had any problem with anybody they are usually pretty nice. This Emily girl at this Bowling green location told me the gym did not have any mats. She said if I wanted one there was a store next door I could buy them. I went to the stretching room and they were all hanging there. I went to complain to the manager and the other girls there said this Emily girl may have been having a bad day 🤦🏽‍♀️Sunday 2.27.21At 1300

I’m trying to figure out why Planet Fitness in other parts of Kentucky are only requiring face masks when you are not actively working out, but BG is trying to require them all the time and citing the “Governor’s mandate.” I took this picture today at another club in KY an hour away. Does BG have a different Governor? Not to mention all lockers are available at other clubs in the state also. Update: the response below says each club determines its own policy. So why does the sign at the entrance of the BG club blame the governor’s mandate? Why not own up to this being your own club’s imposed mandate?

As previously stated by other people, this PF location is not pleasant to deal with. I dealt with multiple forged signatures, of which they took no fault for and a very rude manager. If you do join, you must stay on your toes for charges that you may or may not know a thing about, and if you do take issue with the gym, be prepared to be told that it is not their fault/problem. Steer clear.

Love the layout of this fitness center and their unique design. Theyve been doing an amazing job adopting to the government mandate, taking the necessary precautions, sensitizing and having everyone wear masks. Social distancing machines and providing online courses too. Definitely love the price of membership, $10/month is almost nothing.

Clean gym and good equipment

They charged my account while it was frozen. I called just to simply ask them to refund and to keep my account frozen. I was transferred to the Manager Willie Walcher. I explained my Issue to him and his answer was just simply and quite rudely we do not do refunds. I continued to explain that my account was frozen and I shouldnt have been charged. Willie just said you know we have the right to cancel anytime and said he didnt like my tone, he was going to cancel my account then hung up on me. Im not a fan of the layout, but it is pretty standard for Planet Fitness. It is always clean when I go and the staff members seem friendly. If you are going for cardio (treadmill, elliptical, bikes, etc), do NOT be alarmed by the number of cars in the parking lot--it is never as full on the inside as it looks on the outside. Have a great workout!

The facility cleanliness and employees were just fine. The reason for the 4 star rating is personal preference of equipment. This location has the elliptical machines with the wheel in the front. I prefer the ones with the back wheel as the stride length is better for me.

Credit was never given when they closed down due corona virus pandemic. They charged my credit card after they reopened back up for business...which I never got any notice for. They lied that they tried to reach out to my email. They didnt even have my email address on file. Never got it. Never got a text, which they have on file. Nothing. But they charged me for this month... and resulted in wasted money for 3 weeks of time I could have gone.I caught management in a lie which underscores their poor quality, unprofessional, and unqualified management. Taking my business to another gym that will treat their members with honesty and professionalism.

Legit there are not enough stars to rate this place. Been going here 3 times a week for over a year. Dropped 50lbs here. Everyone is always so friendly. Never feel too crowded. Always clean. Literally cannot recommend enough!

The showers are worth the membership alone. Rainfall and side heads are amazing!

Y’all need to cut the zip ties off of the lockers already..and also quit using one of the only lockers available as a storage for the bathroom cleaning supplies. Other than that everything else was great.

The equipment is nice and the facility is clean. There was absolutely no orientation or direction of any kind. You just pay and then try to figure out where everything is and whats available to you. Having gone for about two weeks now and seeing results, Im happy with the experience but I definitely have gone it alone.

The staff was almost too lazy checking me in because I refuse to bring my phone in these disease spreading gyms. My gym dues pay for their $8hr salary, so take your little fingers and type my name in the little computer.

This is the 2nd time thayve charged my account due to there own employees screwup and Im stuck having to lose my money that ive worked for this isnt right wont be going bavk here

Ive been going to this Planet Fitness for the past couple of months and have to say it is probably of the best of the several I have been to. The staff is always extremely friendly. Everyone is helpful if anyone has any questions. It seems like it is always clean everytime Ive been. The usual crowd are polite. As a girl, its refreshing to go to a gym and not have guys stare and stop you mid workout to flirt.

I thought this gym was nice at first and all until after they have reopened due to COVID-19. Originally pausing my account in FEB 2020 and never un froze it after they reopened. Being billed for July 2020 I tried calling explaining that I can not come in the gym due to my parents being Immune compromised and wasn’t aware that my account would be unpaused. The front desk people(extremely rude) told me that they sent out a email saying they where reopening. The email looked like every other junk mail they send and didn’t stand out and poorly informed. Regardless it’s messed up not to refund when I can not come due to the pandemic. Will never come back to this gym and rude front desk workers.

This location has gone down in quality. The cleanliness in the gym and the locker room is disgusting. A few of the reception staff are nice, but the majority are surly and unprofessional. When I signed up as a black card member in 2015, I gave my bank account information for a direct debit. I wasn’t required to give a card but did for incidentals (bottled water, etc). Starting recently they are requiring a second form of payment. This would come from the same bank account my membership comes out of.... why do they need a second source since my dues have been paid without fail? I don’t discuss finances with receptionists, especially when they have attitudes like Lucas. I was told tonight that the manager put a note in my account (which I was shown). I got a copy of my signed membership agreement and it doesn’t stipulate a requirement for a secondary payment source. When trying to enter the club I was confronted with passive aggressive staff who informed me I’m not allowed to enter without updating my card information. It wouldn’t be a big deal other than I don’t go to the gym with my wallet. My partner and I both cancelled on the spot. The staff interactions this week have been nothing short of harassment. Based on my recent observations it seems there could be some staff issues with us being gay based on staff interactions. Since I was denied entry to the club today for which my payment was received, I will be working with my bank to discuss my options for charge back. I would check out other local gyms and will be sharing my experience with others.

My husband and I joined this gym. At first, it seemed really nice, but after awhile, we realized the staff knew nothing about any of the equipment. When asked, they would say they did not know or there is a picture of how to use it right there. Also, the athletic director never followed up with us after 4 weeks after he set a plan for our exercising. Finally, all the young folks behind the desk were very pleasant, but no one walked around to see whether some folks were monopolizing the machines (which they were) or whether members were wiping down the equipment after use.

Nobody bothers you at all, you feel safe equipment is great, big variety as well. Equipment is clean and working, I enjoy the treadmill and the quick workout room. Amazing monthly price as well I love it.

I was just cleared to workout from surgery 6 weeks ago, but I can only do light work. I liked that there are so many treadmills and ellipticals available at any given time. Lots of cleaning stations and TVs. Desk staff was nice!

SOME staff here is a joke. A JOKE. Not willing to work with you at ALL! Would not recommend this gym at all. You would think the staff would be good at a gym but I guess just not at this one.

I am a law enforcement officer for Simpson County yet planet fitness offers a law enforcement membership and because im not Warren County i wasnt offered the law enforcement membership which i find ridiculous! Bowling Green is the only near planet fitness for miles. The manager wouldnt even come speak to me. I am extremely upset and corporate will hear about this for sure.

Planet Fitness is a great bargain for what you get no doubt; its a no-frills and very inclusive environment for fitness which offers aqua massage tables (awesome) but no fitness classes (not awesome). Its a good, basic gym for the money.

Great place to.work out. Friendly staff. Clean.facility.A few of the vinyl covered benches need re-upholstered due to.splits and tears. Some of the personal trainers can be rather hoggish about hoarding the workout machines. Otherwise, a place we enjoy working out regularly.

Great gym with equipment thats just as nice or nicer than more expensive gyms. The only drawback is it is very bit crowded at the beginning of the year with resolutioners drawn in by their discount, but theyll filter out and it will be back to normal by March.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED - If you decide to cancel your membership carefully read every word because management will hide behind every word and are totally unhelpful in discussing the cancellation process. On two different occasions when talking about canceling the contract neither the staff or manager made any reference to a 7-day notice before the cancellation becomes effective.

Some of the staff are not familiar with policies and rules established by Planet Fitness. One young woman was so busy trying to carry on her conversation with a man that she was dismissive to me. I told her the last person didnt clean the room and she said Its self clean, you can do it before or after she went back talking to the guy and I was left to clean up someone elses disgusting bodily secretions (she should have done it). I went back in room 5 only to discover there was no cleaning solution and read the rules. Each person is responsible for cleaning the bed before AND after use. I told the woman this and asked for a different room. She dismissed the information I provided about the cleaning policy (she was still talking to the same guy). I asked for the bed to be on for 10 mins. Good thing I checked because I could have come out seriously burned. She set it for full 15 mins. Eventually after getting to tan I came out and she was still talking to the same guy after approx. 20 minutes and it didnt appear work-related. It doesnt feel like a warm and welcoming environment.

This is a pretty good gym and its really cheap for the membership. I just hope it doesnt get super crowded.

It was ok, but too crowded, not a lot of floor space for lunges and stretching, no mats I could use for stretching, a lot of weird rules. Great to visit as an out of town guest but probably wouldnt become a member.

I just joined the fitness center and have only been twice during this past week. The first time was extremely low key and no stress. Everyone was very helpful and eager to answer questions. That was on 2/8/15. On 2/10/15. we wemt again and we were very dissatisfied with the customer service. Everyone except Kayla seemed to be disgusted with answering questions about how something works, to asking how I would know who is next in line for the Total Enhancement and Hydro Beds. I had one young man that kept texting on his phone that it wasnt his job and another girl that said that they werent keeping up with the clip board and that I would just have to trust her who is next after which she rolled her eyes.I love the gym and definitely want to continue, but the management needs to get a handle on better supervision of employees, because one day, they are going to upset the wrong customer, and you never know who that might be. Please work on customer service. This could ruin your business. Something to bring up in the Friday night Team meeting.

Great place to work out. My pain complaint is that the connector on the treadmills hasnt been updated. They still just have the 4s charger and not just a general USB slot to charge your phone.
