Came through this past weekend and participated in my first OLY meet after a couple years of dabbling with a distance coach. I had a great experience with the coaching staff; very supportive and knowledgeable. If I lived closer to Bowling Green, Id definitely choose this place for the atmosphere, trainers, and facility.I look forward to dropping in every once in awhile.

BGPH showcases everything that is great about working out and lifting weights. From the amazing trainers, to the family environment. It is a welcoming atmosphere for anyone that wants to get better. If you need someone and some loud music to push you through a hard workout. Or maybe you just want to be that person with headphones on working out solo, it is the gym to be in. Plus they have the goodest pupper on staff too!

Great lifting gym - popped in from out of town and everyone (esp Zeus!) was very kind and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking to for a quality gym in the area. Real straight bars included!

Been going here for over 3 years and there is not another gym I would rather go to. From the wide variety of equipment that is offered, to the experienced coaching it is worth every penny. When you become a member you become part of a family and everyone is willing to help you achieve your goals. If you are on the fence, schedule an appointment to check it out and give it a try.

Great atmosphere. Very positive. Owners are always willing to watch form, give lessons on technique, or answer questions about different exercises. 24 hour access is also really nice.

My intention is not to be mean. I do not intend to harm this establishment. I do not reccomend it to foreign women with an accent. Discriminatory experience. Im used to dealing with psycho ego american females, so I EXPECTED to be treated like this. I could file a customer complaint for gender based discrimination, but Im not a hater. If I had shown up with a male companion I might have been treated better. Also I think I have the right to post a review? I got laughed at by some female fan of theirs. Like I said most american females (and men) are bullies.I overlooked the negative cuz I liked the gym itself! As a Greek person, Im serious about fitness, i started bodybuilding at age 16 and im a former track athlete. Im a fan of Pyrros Dimas and Dmitry Klokov. I love lifting heavy myself, a recent surgery kept me away from that for some time and wanted to get back to it and learn new things. I love supporting small businesses. Unfortunately with some small businesses comes: unprofessional behavior, ego issues, controlling attitude, gossip, clique mentality and crossing the line. Everything that goes on at this place. Been to countless gyms in different countries 17 yrs now. NEVER seen such attitude. First off you gotta know a member of theirs to be treated decently and its not genuine. It felt like they were searching for a reason to get rid of me by talking behind my back.Discussing members former personal relations is NOT professional. I was there to work out and I keep to myself. Aside from that, there was obvious hostility towards me from the moment I walked in. Looks like this place is run by the female owner.I still overlooked it and excused it! I was very excited to find a secluded gym 5 mins from my house that specializes on olympic weightlifting &powerlifting. I was intimidated by it. I wanted to break my fear and learn (the snatch, clean & jerk all that). I hate crowded gyms -this one was almost empty the times I visited. The Federal gov Civil Rights Center that governs customer discrimination prohibits sex/gender discrimination. I was NOT told from the start that memberships are subject to approval. I did not get a tour of the gym nor was I greeted nicely compared to the new MALE customers. I was not even told about the massage therapy. I felt unwanted from the moment I stepped in -SUCH blatant hostility. She made me wanna leave right then& there and I REGRET I didnt. I had to say i know i dont look like I lift because of the hostile sour attitude of the female owner. I felt incompetent, I got eyerolled at.I could overlook that they rejected my membership (because a member talked bad about me) which is also unheard of. They violated my privacy by telling this member about me. This never happens at any gym. Despite their assumptions, my presence there did not interfere with this member and I am/was polite to everyone. Whats unacceptable is the overall hostility. What someone may have told them about me doesnt give anyone the right to jump to conclusions & throw an offensive hint about me.Too personal/inquisitive. They claim they want the members to interact well. Not the case. Frozen awkward atmosphere - I was even ignored by a member when I asked them if they use an equipment (2 members only were friendly to me: Chase, Leah - very lovely lady- and Zeus the dog). Since I couldnt afford the entire expensive training sessions at this moment, I suppose I was not valuable. I had one session. I was promised to be contacted and never did. I am always courteous and polite. Did not bring personal matters in there. I didnt talk badly about any member. I got so much negativity, i was so distressed the last evening I went there that I had an accident the same night. Thank God I discovered BAC and I have a friendly professional gym where I am respected.

I love, love love this place! I almost dont want to rate it because it is such a diamond among the fitness gym pieces of coal in Bowling Green. This is a hard-core weight training facility. If you want pink barbie dumb bells , a movie theater with treadmills, and an Olivia Newton John song playing Lets get Physical then just move along. This isnt for you. This place is all about getting strong no matter how young, old, out of shape or fit you are. You just have to want to work for it.Steve Burba is one fantastic trainer/coach who doesnt just throw a standard routine your way but has a strategic training methodology that will achieve your fitness goals providing you give it your all. He is the best fitness trainer Ive ever had. He got me mobile and stronger than ever after having a hip replacement. My Dr.s Office couldnt believe how quickly I recovered and it was all due to Steves training.Shhhhh.. Dont tell anyone. I want to keep him for myself..

Absolutely love my gym! Great atmosphere, wonderful members and phenomenal trainers/coaches. BG Power House offers one-on-one or group training sessions that range from general strength training, conditioning, powerlifting to olympic lifting. If you would like to step out of your comfort zone when it comes to your work outs, this is a great place to be. If you prefer to stay in your comfort zone, this is a great place to be. Everyone is always encouraging, welcoming and friendly.

Great Strongman/powerlifting/weightlifting gym! Plenty of equipment (everything from rowing machines to Oly bars to Husafell stones to car deadlift handles) and enough squat racks and platforms to go around. They also have a full set of kettlebells and dumbbells to get your accessory work in, and they keep the place clean (not always a given in this type of gym!). Coach Steve Burba can set you up with personalized programming, and/or you can stop in for scheduled classes.
