I have lived in Muse for about a year, and I just renewed my lease here. There are a lot of pros like things in the apartment are really new, utilities aren’t super expensive, and it’s fully furnished. There are some cons as well, like the fact that it’s located near a bit of a rough part of town, but personally I’ve never had a security problem. They have raised the rent (which is more competitively priced) and that will probably resolve some of the issues they have had in the past in the community. They started using tags for the cars of residents which has helped a lot with access to parking! I’ve never had trouble finding a spot. Also, the new management is a lot more organized and helpful. I’ve locked myself out a few times, even after they close, and they’ve been very helpful. Overall, it’s a great place to live and I don’t regret renting here!

I’ve lived at Muse for over a month now and it’s been pretty great! There are some complaints, like the outdoor areas not being cleaned up all the time or the locks malfunctioning. But every time I’ve had an issue, the staff at Muse has always helped me in a timely manner. The apartments are very cute and I’ve had a great experience making it a home. I hope they continue to improve!

I have really enjoyed my time at the Muse so far! I have always felt safe here and anytime I have had to submit a maintenance request, the issue was resolved very quickly! The grounds of the apartment could be better kept but it is my only complaint. I am so glad that I chose to make Muse my home!

So far I love living at The Muse. Everyone is friendly, especially the leasing office! The place stays pretty decently maintained and the apartments are really nice. The price is decent and the surrounding area is pretty decent as well. Would recommend living here if you’re a student going to WKU or just anyone looking for a decent place to live.

It’s an amazing apartment complex to live in, there are lots of friendly office workers and they work diligently to help you resolve any issues that you may have, though the price is a bit high for rent, it’s well worth it when you realize how many amenities you have, including the gym, free WiFi, amazing TVs in every apartment, the awesome clubhouse and the free coffee bar that’s available 24/7. Would highly recommend anyone live here, only reason I left 4 stars instead of 5 is that there is an issue with homeless people who walk through every day and sleep in the pavilion at night,it makes it very uncomfortable at times but that’s not an easy issue for the apartment to deal with.

My daughter lived at Muse during the past year and recently moved out. Good: The apartment was nice and modern inside. Bad: 1. The apartment was not ready and still dirty when she moved in. It appears that they never wash the decks because they are filthy. 2. There is not nearly enough parking for guests and the company that patrols the lot is super aggressive about putting boots on cars so they can collect their fee. 3. The office staff seems clueless and is unhelpful when you call to ask a question. Customer service is lacking. 4. The complex constantly smells of pot. Not once did I visit my daughter that I didnt smell it as soon as I would get near a building. 5. Forget about arranging to move out late if you dont have another place to move to by the last day of your lease. 6. Upkeep of the grounds is poor. Broken glass in parking lot and the area around the dumpster was nasty when I visited recently. 7. Its not in a great area of BG. - My understanding is that the complex came under new management during the past year. Things did not improve.

Living at the Muse has been quite a terrible experience to say the least. To start with the good: my roommates. That’s it. Now for the bad: We signed back while the apartments were being built with the promise that it was going to be a gated community with good security. They kept blowing it off saying that they were in the process of hiring some security, but never addressed the lack of gates. Months go by and we finally get security guards, but that’s seems to do nothing to deter crime from the apartments, probably because you have to call them in order to get them to come to the complex they aren’t always there. In the past few months we have experienced a couple very scary instances that are seeming to get worse. At first we had strange older men showing up to our cottage knocking on our glass doors and begging to get in. Then we had people approaching us and following us during our walks to our cars. After the first incident we bought a ring camera for our safety. But most recently, our ring caught a man shining a light into our house and trying to get in the door. He couldn’t, so we saw him go to our neighbors, where he proceeded to ENTER THEIR HOME, and steal his car keys and car. And what did Muse do about it? Nothing. We also frequently here gunshots and there was an incidence there was a gun fired in the apartments. It is clear that there is a safety issue here that no one is addressing. And the underlying problem of not addressing problems by management is a huge ordeal all around. Safety is by far the biggest problem here, but poor design and execution of the cottage is also an issue. If we have our thermostat set on 70, our 1st floor will be freezing to the point we have to bring in space heaters. And the top floor will be so hot we have to consistently keep windows open and not sleep under covers. Also while the farmhouse style may seem nice, it is all super cheap and falling apart. Yes it has a cute farmhouse look, but looks like it was thrown together in a hurry. We have lived there since open, and have taken extremely good care of it, however the natural wear and tear is disgusting. My biggest piece of advice however, is if you value your safety, choose somewhere other than Muse. The location just isn’t worth it.

Overall, Ive enjoyed my stay here at Muse quite a bit. I love the actual apartment (I have a one bedroom). They are so cute, and its definitely a plus that they come furnished! They are small, but theres tons of storage and room for everything. I love the amenities like the gym and the clubhouse, and the staff is always so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. My only actual complaint about this place is the other residents. Walls are pretty thin, so you can hear your neighbors a lot. There is often trash left in the hallways and litter all over the parking lot and common areas like the pavilion -- people do not know how to clean up after themselves, which isnt Muses fault, but its still not fun to deal with or look at. Also, the other residents tend to be pretty inconsiderate of their neighbors in general, often playing loud music and/or allowing their dogs to bark at all hours. Again, thats not anything against the apartments themselves, but it has definitely affected my time here thus far.

Muse Bowling Green is a nice apartment complex in Bowling Green, KY. I have no experience in the larger buildings where the two bedroom apartments are, however I have lived in a separate four bedroom apartment for a while. The four bedroom apartments are not the most spacious, but there is still room for my roommates and I to have plenty of stuff. The most important thing I can recommend to others is to be sure to keep an eye on the charges per month just because it has been confusing lately. However, this could be due to the change in management. Hopefully they will make it easier to figure out monthly charges in the future.Overall, it is a bit pricey for what you get, but if you can afford it, it is a nice apartment complex with an office that tries to help you when they can.

I had lots of problems with the 4-bedroom cottage and would not recommend anyone rent those. There were so many issues with that apartment (they were very poorly built) that we had to move to a 2-bedroom and we are MUCH happier. The apartment itself is really cute and everyone who works here is really nice. The area can be a bit scary, especially at night, as a lot of people walk from the gas station to surrounding neighborhoods. Overall though, the amenities are nice and it has been a great place to live.

I love the design of the apartments as well as the friendly staff. If I had any reservations about that 5th star it would be concerning the heat/air in the 4 bedroom cottages. My first floor is always freezing cold but the second and third floor are very warm. Parking can also be an issue whenever school is in. Also very little storage so I had to get creative but that’s not a huge deal. Overall a great place to live!

The Muse is under a new management based out of Chicago, and they have decided to raise rent by $75 for people that are trying to sign a second lease. They have not made any improvements to the property. Just be mindful of this before you sign a lease since you likely will not get the promotional price for your second lease. My other issue is that there is SO. MUCH. DOG POOP. They need to hire a service to clean up the poop, or somehow get the residents to clean it up. You basically cant walk through grassy areas without stepping on dog poop.Overall, living here is fine, but the rent increase for returning renters is bad business.

Muse has tried to pay the residents to review above three stars for incentive, unfortunately I can’t do this with a clear conscious. We live in the four bedroom cottages and they’re tragic to put it simply. Our food on the bottom floor has started freezing because of the poor construction (it stays around 50 degrees down there). And the 2nd and 3rd floor are exceedingly hot. It stays above 80 degrees regardless of what the thermostat is on and as a result sleeping has become near impossible; We’ve complained to maintenance numerous times and they never came out to look. We then called the main office, and they said all the cottages do this and there’s nothing we can do - and they’re raising rates next year. They’ve offered no support and never seemed to care. They never warned of these problems prior but sold us the leases (knowingly) anyways. Save your money and rent somewhere else, the place is very pretty - but you’ll be miserable the entire time. We fell for it, don’t do the same!

The cottages (4 bedroom) have the worst hvac system on the planet. Extremely cold on the first floor and HOT on the third floor. Even though our thermometer is set at 62. Our fruits and cooking oils freeze if we leave them in the kitchen.Trust me when I say it’s worse than it sounds. Imagine sweating all night, just to get up to cook breakfast and not being able to get your olive oil out of the bottle. If you live here, try to revamp your winter gear to prepare for the tundra like climate in the kitchen and living room. Hopefully it’s better when it gets warmer...I’ll attach a photo that shows a thermometer of 47 when the house thermostat reads 62. I would turn up the thermostat, but my room on the top floor would inevitably turn into a sauna.

This is my first semester living here. Everything has been great except parking. The apartments are clean, well-maintained and comfortable. However, the past few nights, I have had trouble finding parking any where near my apartment. I have three lots around my apartment and all of them were full. I understand that parking is free for visitors as well, but I wish there were spots designated for visitors so that it leaves open more parking for the actual residents. Everything else has been great. I am hoping it gets better as the semester progresses. My only concern is implementing some type of visitor parking system to free up the extra spaces for residents.

They said “we reviews your account” in which they didn’t. They charge a fortune for a terrible place. We first got here and they place was trashed, they told us we could move in early and it was terrible. They acted like they didn’t even know. Also, my window is broken and I’ve called and told me they would fix it and never did. You have to pay for printer now. By ALL MEANS do not live here. All they want in your money and don’t care about anything. Also losing our lease documents, that’s great business. They don’t understand how to operate a business and by all means please by all means don’t let live here. They deserve to go bankrupt

Ive been living in Muse since last semester and I even decided to renew my lease for this semester. The staff are some of the nicest and friendliest people Ive ever met, they actually try to help and are very reasonable, they also respond quickly to my emails or requests for any maintenance. The apartments are great too, the furniture that comes with the apartment is great and they cover all the essentials so it makes moving in very easy. The clubhouse is also a really good place to study and the gym isnt busy or crowded so you feel comfortable. The landscape that they got done is so pretty too. The only thing that I take an issue with here is maybe the security... there are cameras surrounding the place and you need keys to use some of the amenities but I still see a lot of people who arent residents walking and wandering around the place especially at night so I just hope they increase the security on the property. However, other than that the residents here are also very nice and kind.

Me and my roommate who initially started the lease for our college were told they were having a $450 special at the time, so we went ahead and signed. Well, by the time we moved in, they switched it, saying we signed before the special was running. We were told to sign the lease and they would take care of it. Our other 2 roommates ended up getting the promotion signing only 1 month before move in, yet we couldn’t. This place is poorly managed and does not get back on working orders. Appliances are nice, but cottages are cramped with space and overpriced. Tried to speak to someone about fixing promotion price, and they said when they were bought out that they no longer have records on file. Ridiculous

I love the apartments here!! I renewed my lease for a second time. The apartments offer a very nice, comfy, home feeling and is equipped with everything you need. This is literally my home away from home! Staff is also very nice and helpful. Only complaints I have are in regards to extra noise and non residents around the complex. Some neighbors and their guest are so loud late at night with screaming and hollaring...I can hear their conversations while sitting on my couch. There are also times where I feel uneasy about non residents that sometimes hang around the complex. There are a few situations when I didn’t feel safe/comfortable.

So management will bring me my mail. They also bring me anything from the community events. Kaleb is the property manager and he is awesome. Ashley is a sweetheart. Seth is great. We have 1, 2, & 4 bedroom apartments. They come fully furnished, with washer and dryers, dishwasher, brand new TVs, stove, fridge & microwaves. Internet and cable. Smart TVs. Water is included. I know that sounds very rude to say but my neighbors literally found a backpack of used syringes on their back door and id be lying if i said it wasnt my biggest turn off. Makes me feel a little less safe than id like to be at home. My biggest request would be to up security and make Muse amenities always residents (and their guests) only. Aside from the location, it is a really cute place to live. Unlike Midtown, furniture is included, parking is free for not only yourself, but your guests too, and you always have a spot close to your unit.

I’m extremely disappointed in myself for falling for their sales tactics. I was blinded by the new and shiny and couldn’t see far enough to realize how TERRIBLE the LOCATION of these apartments truly are. I refuse to walk outside alone at night, walk my dog alone, and REFUSE to stay in my apartment alone at night, I actually go to my friends apt on the other side of campus if my roommates aren’t home. The “neighbors” in the nasty motel and surrounding streets are honestly terrifying, plus there are non-college aged residents living all over this place now. I highly recomend staying at Muse. There is some criticism I would like to express regarding the leasing offices offerings. If you stop in to see the staff, you will be greated by very hospitable members with several snack and beverage offerings. Again, they go out of their way and I commend them for their efforts. However, as someone that is on a low carbohydrate and high fat diet, the available snacks are not for me. So visiting the office is torture at times.
