When you go in for a fairly simple cut and end up having to give yourself a buzz at home to fix the many mistakes of the barber its not exactly a good sign... Tony is clearly a great guy and he was a pleasure to talk to, so I was totally shocked how my cut turned out. I dont really see the point in leaving negative reviews unless I really feel like it could help someone else out by avoiding the result I got. And I think that applies here...I didnt think it looked too great at the shop and tried to have him correct it but it just kept getting worse. Once home, I realized just how bad it was and ended up having to buzz it all off. As you can see in the photos there was no consistency on the top or with the lines between the different lengths I wanted.

Table Mesa Barbers is hands down the best haircut in the State, maybe the country! My Dad drives three hours to also get his haircut here. The haircuts are so good they also grow out well! Barber Tony McKugh is an American Icon!

I have been going to Tony for years now I saw him before my wedding and he always has a funny story to tell with lots of experience from being Boulder for 30+ years I trust him to always do a great job. He wears a mask and it’s never crowded. Definitely will be coming back.

Very nice guy and I like the old-school ambiance, fair prices, though doesnt accept credit card. That said my hair is very simple, thick but straight forward. I didnt notice until I got home and my wife laughed at me, but I was forced to do some emergency repairs with clippers in my bathroom. Not happy with the cut and likely wont be back. I really wanted to like the place since he is so close to home and was a nice guy, but the quality wasnt there.

Tony is a master with haircuts for men. Always friendly. Very conscientious regarding his cut of my dads hair. He was the only stylist that was able to duplicate my fathers haircut from the 1950s around. He listens great to my dad and got it right. Much appreciated. Prices are very fair too. Thanks Tony.

This is really an old-time barber shop as opposed to a styling salon. Tony is personable, reliable, and very helpful. He has the coffee pot on and plenty of magazines to read if you need wait a few minutes (although Ive never waited long enough to finish an article). He takes walk-ins early in the morning, and then appointments the rest of the day. I am usually able to get in on the day I call, and Ive never had to wait more than one day for an appointment.Ive been going to Tony for a number of years now, and have consistently recommended him to my friends.

I have been going there regularly and I always get compliments on the haircut. always. Its very old-school, it looks like and has been there for decades and it doesnt look like it has changed since it was built. But if you want a reasonably priced haircut that you get a lot of compliments on, this is the place to go. Tony - the barber, is about eighty something and has been doing this every day since the shopping center was built in the 60s.

Definitely the best haircut in Boulder for the money. Its not just Tony anymore, either. Still hope the atmosphere changes a little bit. Would be nice to have something to do in there. But definitely 5 stars and you will not find a better haircut for the price in the area!

Tony is great. Simply put, he represents what a barber shop should be. Haircuts are always good, and you will never have a closer shave. Hes not a chain, hes not incorporated, he doesnt even have barbers to fill the other chairs. Just a man who will cut your hair for less than $20.

GREAT place for a haircut. You pay 18.00 here for a HIGH QUALITY cut that incluses if you wish a mustache and beard trim, that would cost you 25.00 - 35.00 at other Boulder Barbers. Tony is awesome and one of the best barbers in town!

This is a classic barbershop. Tony gave me a great haircut and is a nice guy. Ill definitely be back the next time I need a barber.

I just wasted $18 bucks on a 8 minutes haircut that:1) destroyed the top part of my beard (there was a full inch difference between both sides of my cheek bone)2) had spots left behind my head3) cut a bunch of hairs that I specifically asked him not to touchHow cant it be that a freaking barber cant operate a clipper adequately? I cant believe I thanked the guy walking out of there, only to realize the disaster when I got home.

Tony did a Terrible hair cut. Lines were not straight. Spots missed. Detail over looked. If I could give a zero I would. Waste of 18 bucks. Ill have my wife do it next time.....she does better blind folded.

Beware sexism is alive and well at this establishment. Woman are charged anywhere between 50-60% more for a haircut. Other companies may choose to charge different fees depending on your choice of stylist, this company charges solely based on your sex.
