Zach Mitton and Jake Johnson are the Zen Masters of car detailing.Upon recently purchasing our Tesla Model 3, we were advised by another owner as to its (front ends) susceptibility to road rash. A low, aerodynamic front with its cow catcher shape means it receives higher than average wear from gravel, sand, and other abrasives during high speed (highway) driving. A clear, protective film was advised, and the ensuing search for installers led us to AutoHaus of Boulder, conveniently located in our own town. Reading numerous reviews, it became apparent that these guys are no mere technicians.Upon arriving for the estimate, this impression was verified. As Jake went over the car, discussing the details of the job, I could sense the craftsman ethos vibe. His presentation was more that of someone offering to do an art installation, as opposed to just detailing your car.After going over the protective film (ultimate coverage clear bra package), Jake then asked if I had considered window tinting. To my great surprise he demonstrated that the 3 - for all the money we had paid! - had no UV or heat rejection coating on its ample windows. I am forever grateful for this suggestion. While it nearly doubled the price of the work, I cannot imagine not having it now. The work was done during the cool days of April (20 April 2021), when the lack of sun protection wasnt that noticeable. Now into the warm days of late May, the protective qualities of the window tint are readily noticeable. And we will soon be driving to CA. What would have been a hotter, and UV exposed greenhouse on wheels now has a cool, protective interior.Back to our intrepid technicians. The car was turned in on 19 April, just as a major spring snow storm was starting. It snowed heavily the next day. Not only did Zach and Jake show up for work, but due to another customer cancelling, they both worked on my car during that raging snow storm. They did both the clear bra and window tint - perfectly - in one day as opposed to the usual two. Id wager that someone else might have slacked off on such a day. These guys doubled down and knocked out a big job instead, doing work that looks like it came with the car.Ill attach a couple of pictures, although its nothing new from AutoHaus of Boulder. We are grateful for our cars greatly enhanced protection (both for car and occupants), and for getting to know such fine people as Zach and Jake.

Excellent work and the quality of the tint installation is spot on! The heat protection from the Premium Ceramic is so good you basically dont feel any heat coming through the side windows or the windshield. Spend the extra money for the Premium Ceramic tint, you will not be disappointed!

I just have to post a review of the new ClearBra that Jake & Zach installed for my new BMW X5 at AutoHaus. Jake & Zach also installed the ClearBra for my previous car at ClearChoice Window Tinting & Clear Bras here in Boulder, and I was an immediate fan. I was so lucky to find them again at AutoHaus where they’ve opened their own shop.I’ve posted photos of my front bumper in an attempt to demonstrate their incredible technical skill. Paint protection film installation at this level of expertise becomes art. When it’s installed correctly, it’s virtually invisible. Of course you can’t see the film in my photos because it was a perfect installation, but what you might not realize is that nearly all the plastic trim pieces on my bumper are also covered. Look at all the creases, curves and contours on my bumper! This install was no cake walk and many ClearBra techs wouldn’t attempt this level of coverage. I’ve had film installed on all of my previous cars, and I’m simply blown away by their talent in comparison.AutoHaus also applied a special coating to my husband’s Jeep windshield to help reduce glare which has allowed him to drive at night again. And I’m taking in my daughter’s Ford Bronco for ClearBra tomorrow! Witnessing their magic is addictive. I have to find something else around my house for them to put ClearBra on. My lawnmower, maybe. . .I highly, highly recommend AutoHaus ClearBra & Window Tinting because Jake & Zach care more about your car than you do. I’m extremely fussy about my cars, and will never step foot into another ClearBra shop after I saw what they’re capable of. Their pricing is too low in my opinion for what you get, and I’m not sure how they get anything done with all the time they waisted answering all of my questions anyway. Thank you SO much Jake & Zach for going above and beyond for me. My standards were already high, and you’ve raised them to impossible. I am a fan in the most obnoxious way.

Jake and Zach are both exceptionally nice and extremely proficient in their abilities. Had a chrome delete done 2 years ago that still looks new, AND they re-wrapped a door handle as a courtesy after I had the handle replaced for something unrelated. I would take my vehicle here again in a heartbeat.

Got my oil changed here, and even without the new customer discount, it was probably 25% less expensive than having it done at the dealer, and they didnt require I schedule an appointment. No complaints. I plan to return in a few months to have my brakes replaced. If you have a german car in boulder this is the place to go, especially as the dealers service centers in this area all suck (talking about you audi boulder!!)

(I know including myself, everyone is sometimes rather cautious about some dishonest places of auto repair services) Would recommend this the first repair shop to visit in Boulder area for your german vehicle. Jake and Zach did a terrific job on a full hood clear bra using Suntech and also a very challenging tint install using CIR on my 911 Targa 4s last week. The rear glass was a significant challenge for Jake and he pulled it off just as I’d hoped. It’s just outstanding work by those two guys. I highly recommend them both for quality, price and communication of progress on the job.

Im a tow truck driver that just dropped a car off for service for a roadside member. I highly recommend mounting your catch bucket for the night drop box much lower. I can just reach in thru the mail slot and grab the envelopes with ur customers keys where it is now

Got my Tints done at AutoHaus, and i cant recommend them enough.Even though I changed the work the day of to a darker tint and added more windows to be tinted it was accommodated in the same time frame.I have some dot matrix on my windows so it wasnt as easy for them to release the moisture and air right away on the tints due to the texture on the window. They advised to let it sit for moisture to escape and for me to stop back next week, I was busy and put it to the back of my mind.THEY followed up with me to schedule a time for them to make it perfect. I had forgotten that it had been 2 week already.Easy, thorough, and thoughtful.Service like this is what creates returning customers

I took in my M2 comp for a brake fluid flush and tech inspection for our upcoming fall BMW performance driving school. There has been an ownership change. With Covid the experience at Autohaus is not the same. I really enjoyed the “family” feel it had before. I understand nothing is going back to the way it was before.Work was completed as requested. No bells as whistles as far as super great customer friendly service like before. BMW CCA members were offered a % discount in the past. That no longer holds true. And tech inspections are no longer complimentary either.My paperwork with regards to my car make and model and year was not accurate either. It’s little stuff. But noteworthy.

Evan was very helpful and understanding when I had an emergency in the morning that made me late for the brake inspection appointment had AutoHaus fit the car in and made great recommendations to me, letting me know that my brakes were fine and nothing was really needed on the car at this time. They are a great group of people to work with!

I was quoted $8000+ for service at Audi Flatirons and felt like I was being taken for a ride. I called AutoHaus and they quickly got me in to reassess. I have lived in Boulder for over 10 years and for German cars, AutoHaus is the best! For the past few years I used to take my BMW X3 to the place on Valmont but they had no interest on giving my older vehicle (2004) any attention for a detailed diagnosis. AutoHaus saved the day! The solution wasnt thousands of dollars that the other place quoted. AutoHaus technicians take the time to truly analyze the problem and proposed solution. Best customer service and excellent communication for all automotive knowledge levels. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I really wanted to give Autohaus an excellent review but unfortunately the lack of attention to detail from the mechanic who worked on our cars is why I can give only one star. I recently brought in my wifes Audi Q5 for new brake rotors, pads and new motor mounts. The mechanic unfortunately did not torque the caliper bolts to spec and released the car to us this way. The car made a horrible clunking noise the minute we got onto the highway. We immediately returned and they fixed the issue. Things like this happen and they fixed this issue right away so I did not make a huge deal of it. Unfortunately, the next issue is where I decided I had to write a negative review about my experience.When we picked up the Audi Q5 I decided to drop off my Porsche Cayenne to have the battery replaced. Autohaus successfully replaced the battery which is under the drivers seat but did not finish the job correctly because the plastic moldings around the seat we never put back on and to top it off there were Cheetos on the rear floor mat where the mechanic was working. Please double check your work before releasing a vehicle back to the customer.

Ive used them in the past and Im using them now (under new management). Getting an appointment was very quick and efficient. AutoHaus has arranged their service to allow quick and easy drop-off of keys and of payment in order to minimize contact -- greatly appreciated during the pandemic! They were thorough; and contacted and advised me about the need for future repairs (appreciated! )-- there was no push to immediately do certain repairs. Ive had my trim worked on in the past and the work didnt hold.... so Ill give it a month and see -- and THEN Ill rate that particular service!

Big shout out to Jake Johnson over at AutoHaus. Needed a tint on my new Mazda 3 hatch and found these guys just through a Google search. Gave them a call, spoke to Jake on the phone, and scheduled an appointment for 2 weeks out. Brought my car in today in the morning, figured out the specifics on the spot (decided to tint the sun roof at the last minute and was easily accommodated), and picked up my car in the afternoon. Easy and very, very nice work on the tint. Looks perfect. Highly recommend Jake - very friendly, knowledgeable, has a great name, and couldnt be happier with his work. 10/10.

With the new ownership I was hopeful that there would be a high quality independent Porsche repair shop in Boulder. Sadly, that proved to not be the case. The shop mounted 4 new tires and couldnt be bothered to even clean the rims afterwards (all 4 were marked). After 2 days they couldnt get the car into alignment and told me I had to take it to a Porsche dealership. When I got in the car to drive home the steering wheel was crooked (they didnt bother to center the steering wheel after trying to align it). There seems to be little/no attention to detail and for a shop that advertises itself as a Porsche Specialty shop it doesnt seem unreasonable that they should be able to do a simple alignment job on a 911.

This is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of going to Autohaus. The first time I went for a window tinting, and the second time I went for a window tinting, on a different car, and a clear bra. First of all, the customer service is excellent. The facility is nice and clean, I even saw a dog roaming around greeting people. The quality of the work is top notch, excellent both times I’ve been there. I plan on tuning the car as soon as the parts are available here as well. Oil change took 2 hours because they supposedly did not have my cars filter in stock. I even made an appointment earlier in the week, so I would have expected they had the supplies they needed when I came in.Because of Covid, the waiting area is closed so you are left to wait outside or go somewhere else. No shuttle service.

Had a scheudled appointment at 3pm. Arrived exactly on time and dropped key in slot and called and left voice mail. 25 minutes later my Mini was taken inside. I waited in 92 degrees outside as planned. When car was completed waited about 15 minutes to pay and leave. For a brake bulb replacement invoice was pricey. Thanks.

AutoHaus is great, so much so that I drive from Denver to get my car serviced. All of the staff is knowledgeable, they not only tell you what service your car needs but they explain why your car needs servicing. The waiting room is very comfortable as well.

Seriously the real deal. I recently moved to Boulder and was looking for a place to get my Audi serviced. I dropped it off for an oil change and the staff went above and beyond. I received a call from them asking if I had my 75k service done - they walked me through everything and didnt touch a thing without asking me first. They also noticed an issue with my tire I would have never spotted without their help. AutoHaus went above and beyond and Ill only be taking my car there from now on.UPDATE - 2/13/19This place is still the real deal. I took my car in for an oil change. Id noticed some issues with the car for the past couple months but didnt think much of them, so I chose to just ignore them and get an oil change done. The oil change was done right on time and they had diagnosed all of the other issues with my car - free of charge. I asked for quotes to fix these issues and the prices were transparent and fantastic. Not once did the staff try to pressure me into getting work done or do any maintenance without asking me first. If you live in the Boulder area and arent taking your German car here, youre making a mistake.

Just got an exhaust done on my Mini Cooper and I cant stress enough the wonderful customer service and quality of work AutoHaus provides. They genuinely care about their customers and the service is excellent whether its regular maintenance, big jobs (clutch replacement), or work done on the car for performance improvements (which they have all done for my car). Best garage I have ever used. They are the most honest mechanics Ive ever experienced. They do not add nonsense repairs to charge you extra money, they explain what you need, why you need it and how much it will cost. Even with a non-standard electrical issue my X3 had, they were able to diagnose it and save me a couple hundred with a labor discount (it took over ten hours of labor to fully diagnose the issue).This is a seriously amazing garage and if you live in the area youre lucky to have it. I miss it dearly since Ive moved away and havent found anything that even comes close since.

Fantastic diagnosis of a hard to find issue with my Cayman. They even video-called with me to walk me through what they found while I was out of town. I was staring down the barrel of several thousands of dollars in guesswork changes to try to address an issue, that turned out to be a lose stabilizer bolt. Where anyone else would’ve just applied the brute force repairs in hopes of them fixing things, these guys applied creativity and intuition to troubleshoot it down to the correct, easy, fix. Impressed.

He diagnosed my power steering leak on the fly, made me an appt to come in for next available, and got the entire list of things to do on my Audi A4 with the mechanics. Needed to have a 2003 Porsche evaluated for several issues that come along with its age and increased mileage. John had worked on the car previously and was very accommodating in getting this eval done in a timely manner. He gave a very honest, detailed run down of all the issues that would need addressing. I felt confident in his knowledge and suggestions and my only regret it that I wont be getting a new car that is German so that he can help maintain it. My 7 yr old grandson had accompanied me to the shop to pick up the car and John was also very kind and patient in answering all his questions. Do not hesitate to take your vehicle here.

AutoHaus has installed several upgrades on two of my VW GTIs including an intake, catback exhaust and Euro taillights. Their work has been excellent and always completed on-time at the price agreed upon. A great alternative to VW dealer service.
