I came to Midas to have my tires changed, oil changed, and for AC service. I have no complaints about the customer service at this location. Good straight forward pricing and information when I need it. And fast service! They will have you back in your car in no time at all. A Big 2 thumbs up to Barry, Adrian, and the rest of the team!

I have been to this Midas 3 times in the past, and every time my experience has been wonderful. I never have to wait in the queue for very long before my car is looked at. I can take it in for any issue I have and I feel heard and respected. They never do anything to my car without explaining the issue to me and going through their recommendation to fix the issue. They have even taken me back into the shop to teach me about my car and the problems I was facing. Ive never felt like my questions were stupid and I trust that the people working there have my best interest in mind. They are professional, efficient, and very budget friendly. I honestly have never been to a better mechanic and I will absolutely be returning for every oil change I need and every car issue that might arise.

Toby and Mr. ”I’d rather be golfing” Curtis decided to use names and curse words against me as i walked out of an oil change… that never happened. I specifically came in with filters to be replace during the oil change (so they couldn’t hose me). I also asked to have the AC looked at. Instead of an oil change, for 2 hrs they changed the filters and diagnosed the A/C $900+ .. all done before coming back with an estimate..filters in place with NO oil changed. I was charged $107 to do work that was supposed to be done in conjunction with an oil change. If you both wondered why the other dude walked out. He told me in the parking lot, “he came here often”, but “i won’t return after that”. You lost two customers. From the look of other peoples posts, I’m on point here. Jerks. Plain and simple. The one star is because one person did work. Two people didn’t and probably get paid more. Laughable.-Midas Headquarters has been notified.

My son was planning to leave on his first big solo road trip to Montana to see friends. A 10 hour drive. I told him he needed to get an oil change in his 2006 GMC Envoy before he left.We got a phone call from Will, the technician who does the complimentary inspection of the car during the oil change. He said we had a potentially dangerous issue - the lower ball joint and outer tie rod of the front wheels badly needed to be replaced. “If he hits a pot hole it’s in danger of snapping,” he said, “and that could be catastrophic.”I always wonder if auto repair guys are just trying to upcharge me, so I went back to see the issue myself. Will was so great! He showed my son and me all around the underbelly of the car - pointing out parts and what works with what. He demonstrated the wiggle of the tires and thoroughly explained what the issue was. I took a video and drove with my son to our trusted mechanic. When I showed them the video they confirmed it was dangerous and said the estimate was very reasonable. We had it all fixed by Will at Midas in Boulder - now the steering is good and tight and the Envoy is safe and sound.I was grateful for the opportunity to teach my son how to look after a car, how to road trip properly and how to stay safe (proper “Road Warrior” protocol)! But I’m especially grateful to mechanics like Will who respect women and young people and take the time to teach - not just “man-splain.” Thanks, Will!

This places advertised a fully synthetic oil change for $49.99. My daughter went in to get an oil change and they charged her $100. I called and asked why it was more. I was told the filter was more, they had to remove a splash guard? and it took more oil than anticipated. Clearly justification to double the cost? They totally took advantage of us and we will not be back. This is false advertising, price gauging, etc. Pathetic sums it up best.

Came in for an oil change. Specifically told them not to do anything else, as Im a broke college student and cant afford anything else. Then they came back and told me my air cabin filters need replaced. Kinda weird, because they only need replacing every 20-30k miles, and I just replaced them at a servicing 6 months ago, and know I havent driven 3-5k miles per month since then. Theyre just trying to scam customers, and get a few extra bucks out of me. Will not be coming back. Crooks.

For years I took my Honda fit here for break repair. I was hesitant to write a review, but I think ALL should be warned. The last time my breaks wore out very quickly, less then 40K miles. They stated it was driver habits, which could be the case. I felt like it was poor quality parts. Still I had been happy with their service in the past, and there was a discount for the lifetime warranty, so I went ahead with the service. What a mistake. My breaks have NEVER sounded right. I have taken my car back several time and had 2 other options, just to finally find out that they damaged the emergency break line on the left side when they were making the repair. Now it will be another bill to repair the damage they did fixing my breaks. When I complained they brushed me off and the manager even called me a name. Mistakes happen, but you have to make them right. It is insulting to respond to negative reviews with a link to contact Midas that in operable. I have reached out to Midas three times already. Additionally, I spoke to the manager Toby, with out success, or a return phone call. ***** Update- I filed a complaint with the Midas Corporate office. I was contacted by someone named Curtis who claims he is the store owner, but had an MSN email and did not have a signature line that identified his relationship to the store. He stated A smile with a complaint will get you taken care of. Thx. Curtis I am sure he would have never said this to my fiancé. Midas and the Boulder store has been unwilling to compromise on the repair of the damage Midas did to my vehicle. I am happy to take it to another Midas, or another Mechanic, but I will not be treated poorly, and intimated by this staff or Toby. This store and staff have violated my trust again and again.

I recently had an oil change at Midas the day before leaving on a long weekend vacation. They installed the oil filter improperly and all the oil drained out of my vehicle the first day of my trip. I was left stranded in the mountains, 20 miles from the nearest town, for hours waiting for help. I then had to wait another day for a mechanic to inspect everything and fix their mistake. They have been extremely cold and uncaring to deal with. I would not let them work on your car, even for the simplest of procedures such as an oil change.

Now I know why they did the things they did and I was just ignorant at the time. Once I got to know them more, I grew to love them. Ive brought 3 different vehicles here and the work was smooth. They actually know what theyre doing. They might make mistakes sometimes, but theyre only human as we are and we all make mistakes. Usually they will correct those mistakes too with out charge. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!! Recently brought in a 2001 Chevy Blazer to replace a blown oil coolant line which caused the car to shut off on the highway. Everything seemed fine at first; they gave me a reasonable quote for the job, had it done in good time etc. When I went to pick up the car however, they charged me a higher price than what was quoted, did not put all the parts back in the car that I needed to leave, and spilled oil all over my passenger seat (picture attached). When I went to leave, the engine was making an awful screeching noise it had never made before. I tried to drive it home at low speed (I only live a mile away), but it died before I even made it that far.Found out once I checked under the hood that they had never added any engine coolant to my car, which they should have done to test the new oil coolant line (you cannot properly heat and pressure test it without coolant). Also, they restarted and ran my car for some time with no coolant, which can permanently damage the engine. Lastly, they let me drive away with the car and even said it was running fine before I left, even though they never added any coolant. Complained to the general manager about all of this, but he accepted no responsibility and made me feel that I had done something wrong. He even said, What if the wheel fell off, would we be responsible for that too?Didnt think it was necessary to ask them to add oil and engine coolant in the car which are both necessary for it to run safely, especially considering Im not mechanically inclined. Really disappointed and surprised as to how they treated me and my car. Needless to say I wont be trusting the Midas touch again anytime soon.

I called them back and they told me I needed a few flushes. I declined them, but the one they made they biggest deal about was the transmission flush. The technician, Chris, told me that my transmission fluid looked pretty bad and had metal in it. He said this could cause my transmission to get hot. I declined that service, and I called up the place I got a transmission flush in September 2016. I got a second opinion, and my transmission fluid was still pink and in great condition. The technician lied about the condition of my vehicle in order to upsell an unnecessary procedure. I called to speak to a manager, Toby, who called back and left a message saying that his technician was simply recommending a service based on mileage. Not true. If you recommend something based on mileage, you generally say that. You dont lie and say the transmission fluid looks bad when it doesnt. Then another guy came and he told me that the guy who asked me $1500 does not know anything about the mechanic of the car and he should not talk to me (if he does not know, why he checked my car and gave me a quote with $1500). Then after 15 minutes, another guy came and told me that they forgot to tight some bolts in the engine from last time (first visit). Which I strongly believe those bolts cause another problem in my car due to the excessive vibrations from the engine and risked my safety and put my family in risk.Today I went to different workshop and they told me that the vibration of the engine lead to many other problems in my car (all of that because MIDAS forgot to tight the bolts of the engine).I am really frustrated and do not recommend any body to go to this place. BE CAREFUL, they do not know what they are doing. After driving away my car began to shake, so I went to the Longmont location to see what was wrong and they said when your tires are rotated you may need a rebalance which boulder never mentioned and can lead to other damage and is unsafe to drive, when I went back to the boulder location the owner called the people at the Longmont location liars then told me to walk back out the door in a very threating manner. I felt very unsafe. Really unprofessional owner. I would suggest NEVER taking a vehicle to this location.

They recommend a cabinet air filter telling me it was very bad, after my oil change , so got one. A couple months later got an oil change at a different auto shop. They said the air filter was pretty bad and hadnt been changed out for awhile. That auto shop told me to go back and get my money back. Went to explain this and receive many excuses on the matter . I ended up just leaving and wont be back.

Brought in my fleet vehicle for a tire repair. I asked them for an oil check since the light had been coming on. They changed the oil without approving it through my fleet manager and expected me to pay for it. I had them get ahold of my supervisor since thats not how things work. It seemed a bit backwards to me, I used to be a mechanic, I know u should always get the approval before doing the service. It just makes sense. Idk what happened. But, anyway, they let me bring my dog in and they were all super friendly to her, which is a big plus for me. I like anyone who likes my dog. Lol.

I am usually skeptical of the results from a national auto service chain, but today I was happily surprised at the service I got from Midas here in Boulder. I had a crack in my VW Vanagons exhaust system that I really needed patched up on a SATURDAY so I could leave town on SUNDAY, and they totally came through for me: started the job immediately, did the patch work while I waited, and charged me only sixty bucks! No attitude, no upsell, just good attentive service. Thanks guys!

DO NOT GO HERE! They are lazy and have poor service. I showed up at 5pm (even though they close at 6) to find an empty garage & they turned me away asking me to come back another day because they didnt have time. Then not only did I have a coupon for a $30 oil change that ultimately cost me $50, but they also didnt rotate my tires and lied to me and told me they did. This place does not deserve your money! Support another local business who cares about your patronage.

These guys are jokes. I did wheel alignment and the car came back with the steering wheel off from the center. I took the car back, they said that they fixed it, but the car back with the steering wheel off to the other side. And they charged. The alignment was poor and it ripped off two of my new tires. They dont have craftsmanship and not honest. When I was waiting for the second alignment in just a month, I waited for 2 hours and noticed that they are not doing a thing. I complained and a guy said they have no room because a car sittingbon the rack. The car was not even attended. I had to complain harder to have them put my car on the rack finally. Dont any shop tells you how long the job will take? Dont expect a service from this shop. Not worth for even a basic work.

The people were friendly, and the job was done quickly, but it was not done well. I came in with a problem with my brakes and they had to replace a cylinder in the back of my car. Everything was done for a good price but my brakes were not properly readjusted. I was able to make it back home and, as this was on a Saturday, I had to wait until Tuesday to take my car back in to a different Midas in Fort Collins to get my brakes readjusted. As the Fort Collins location was working on fixing my brakes they found some surprising things. Turns out the Midas in Boulder missed the fact that my drums were warped and my sway bar was totally broken. I am disappointed with the lack of attention to detail and Im upset as these are serious problems that could have resulted in an accident. I will not be returning nor recommending this location to anyone.

This is a terrible TERRIBLE place that cares nothing for their customers. I asked if i could get a small amount taken off of the next oil change card... because i still had two oil changes on my last one... i wasnt able to use because i had a kid in the hospital and other life issues. I asked if thy would even just take $5 off a regular oil change. Even though they had made it so the cards no longer expired... they would do nothing for me. In fact, the manager said Its not that we cant do something, its that we wont ...what kind of place treats customers so terribly. AWFUL service.

This garage has given me an estimate of 455$ for a job that would have to be done urgently on my truck they discovered during an oil change. I took my truck to another mechanic who was going to do the job for less then 1/2 the price. She took the necessary parts apart, and discovered, that there was no problem with my truck at all. I had to pay her for her time and spend my time doing that completely unnecessary thing. WHen I called them, they said I had the wrong number. Then they said they needed to see my truck. I will not leave my car in their hands ever again. This is my 3rd experience with them like that. I guess I am a slow learner...

1- Dropped the ball on bolting tires back after rotation2- after bolt popped off and risked the safety of me and my children - (extremely loud noise and disturbed driving). I asked that we tow the car back to their location - since the oil change and rotation was less than 15hours ago - they refused and had someone drive my car from a location I halted.3- they identified the problem was on their end. They replaced the bolts to give them credit, but no sincere apologies were given. Keys were just handed to me and I was shooed away without any further explanation as to what happened.4- in the rush to get my bolts replaced and not escalate the situation further- the tech team had their greasy paws imprinted on th steering wheel, driver side roof, driver side handle and stick shift with absolutely no regard for my beige interior. The also left a broken bolt in the cup holder showing me exactly where the grease came from. I take it in the next week when I noticed the massive prints on the roof. The response - oh we can take care of that. So they remedy but never apologize or seem to get that they damaged my interior. Ill still take it given autobody and oil shop reps in general.5- during that same visit, I had to get my belts replaced. A month later, as we get into winter, the belt creaks. I take it back. Mr Randy, logs into his computer to see who installed it and tells me that only that individual can fix it since they touched it -- what?! This is 2015! The technician was luckily around that evening, he takes a look - says he cant hear the creaking. Full disclosure, the creaking was full on, I mean a drive from Fort Collins into Boulder without it dulling/disappearing in any form. At this point, I lost it and insisted that the tech just drive it around the car park, sure enough -- there it was loud as ever. He asks if he could drive it some more so he can really analyze it, I oblige. Comes back and says he just needs to tighten it - come on in at 7:30am tomorrow and Ill do it.6- I show up the next day, drop the car off, at this point all the front desk sharks know me and my situation. I still got the leave it with us for a day so we can analyze it some more and let everything cool down. Your technician already went for a joy ride, analyzed it and knows the fix! I mentioned that fact politely anx didnt want to argue at this point, I just told them Ill be back later in the evening to pick it up. They insisted theyll call when it was ready - so things were looking up. Drop off was Mid morning - no call till 5:30. I call. Randy picks up. I ask if my car is ready and what the final diagnosis was (at this point the suspense was killing me). Randy - Your car is done - dont know what theyve done and, no joke, just pause on the phone. I ask that he find out so that Im not showing up to a vehicle that the tech team hasnt even touched. Hes like yeah all I know that its ready and what needed to be done is done. I show up, I get handed my keys and get shooed away by front desk. Needless to say, that got old so I demanded an explanation as to what the problem was and what got done. Fortunately, this time, I got one.Not going again. Please note- this once was a five star review with nothing but praises about Boulder - Midas. All downhill since late last year.

I had great service at a Midas in Denver, so I went to this Boulder Midas when I moved here this fall and purchased an older 4Runner. They did about $3K worth of work on it over the course of 4 weeks (3 different visits). I kept requesting a bumper to bumper inspection, which was either not done or was done by someone who didnt know what they were doing. After failing my emissions test, post-Midas visits, I found a mechanic trusted by a friend. He was blown away by the way the engine looked. There were hoses loose, clamps missing or in the wrong location, obvious corrosion and leaks that were never brought to our attention. In the end, theyve cost us way more than $3K we paid them since some work has to be redone, and the new mechanic will have to do the labor to get back into areas they messed up. I wouldnt take your car here for anything except brakes or oil changes - definitely NOT a full service shop. But beware again- I talked to a guy who got an oil change here and they forgot to fill the car with oil. Needless to say, he had some engine issues stemming from this major error.

Was passing through town and check engine light came on. Went in to have them check and he said it cost 50$..........Wtf really? I always go to Midas in my home town and they always check for free and way friendlier. Guess there not enough compitition in this town to keep them in check. Anyway went to OReilly and they did for free . Some people just dont know how to run a good business and some do.
