I started using Blue Ridge Vacation Cabins in late 2016. While I have experience owning rental properties, this is my first foray into managing a vacation rental property while living 700 miles away.Blue Ridge has been amazing at communicating, maintaining, and working to get my home rented to quality renters. It is a family owned company, the owners are very accessible and responsive, and their staff has been super friendly. They have made suggestions about things I have overlooked(like adding a fire pit, which they then contracted out and did an amazing job on).I highly recommend them and am glad to be working with them.Kevin

I returned Saturday 3/18/2017 from another trip to Western North Carolina (5 times in 2 years). I did not stay in a BRVC cabin due to my experience with this company in October of 2016. The cabin I rented was grossly misrepresented as a luxury cabin and was in deplorable, deferred maintenance, deteriorated, unsafe condition. Upon informing the owner Nigel of the conditions by telephone, he acknowledged that he had not seen the cabin since it became part of their rental program. He made a visit after my stay and admitted to being terribly embarrassed, as any reasonable person should be. Based on our conversation I felt assured he would follow up with an atonement. I never heard back from him or his representatives. In addition, weeks later the cabin remained available for rent with the same deceptive, embellished description. Included in that description were the words river access when indeed the only means for accessing the river was so badly deteriorated that sections of the steps and railings were missing and the top landing was boarded off with a 2x4 piece of lumber and a do not enter sign. The overall conditions of the cabin were awful with worn, dated, unsanitary, and broken furniture, cheap and worn linens (the only two face towels in the cabin were mistaken for cleaning rags). The most unpractical, floor drenching rain shower in the master bath was only used once after discovering what a mess it makes. There was a 19 year old analog 19 inch television in the master bedroom. There were unsafe stairs and railings abound, broken/damaged and lack of outdoor lighting, peeling interior paint, a disconnected/removed smoke detector, damaged window blinds, broken door latches, and overgrown/un-maintained landscaping. The advertised fire pit was some rocks placed on the lawn in a circle that was overgrown with weeds. The hot tub was away from the common areas under the rear deck with no access to lighting and a unsafe descent down dark stairs. The garbage cans under the front entry were full and overflowing upon arrival. This cabin has potential but unfortunately the attention to detail is non-existent and it has been allowed to deteriorate to substandard, unacceptable conditions. BRVC may have luxury cabins but this is NOT one of them.

Great management company ... responsive and cheerful. Red Stag Lodge was a great place to stay.

Very nice cabin, great location, quiet, private, nice deck with hot tub, fire pit, fireplace, stocked well with all you need (kitchen cookware, linens, towels, etc.), plenty of firewood, lots of room to park several vehicles.

Our experience with the retail was flawless.Moment was SO helpful and made our stay one of our best, if not the best weve ever had, and my wife and I travel a lot!!The home was truly amazing and spotless. Whoever cleans, does the best job Ive ever seen!We will definitely be using you again.Thank you so much,Wonderful memories were made at Almost Perfect!

We absolutely loved the Rivers Edge cabin. It was right on the river and had beautiful views up into the valley. The local mountain scenery driving to this location was also gorgeous with the changing of the leaves.The cabin was clean and well appointed with everything we needed and much more. A Great bed!!! There’s a huge working fireplace that was a nice touch on the cold evenings.Bikes were provided, and even in the mountain setting, the road was nearly flat for several miles with very little traffic. A partially fenced yard was perfect for pets and we’ll surely bring our dogs next time.We would definitely come back to this house.Bob & Helen CarrollSemora, NC.

We stayed this past week end in a wonderful home in the mountains. The home was so cozy and had everything we needed to make us feel at home. It was clean and seemed to be freshly decorated. A few years ago we rented from a different company and the home seemed to be from the 50s and just didnt have a good feeling about it-not that there is anything wrong with the 50s-but we like a little more comfort. We found this company and now continuously rent from them and always love their homes. We like staying in a different one each time to enjoy amazing views and we are never disappointed with this companys selections!!!

This is the third visit Ive enjoyed at Ashemont, which I think is the perfect mountain getaway. The layout is wonderful with beautiful, comfortable rooms and both an indoor and an outdoor fireplace, plus a hot tub. Theres a large fenced lot for the kids and dogs, a gorgeous view and many activities at the property, if you and the kids want to just hang around the cabin. Theres hiking, playing pool, puzzles and games, outdoor badminton and jungle gym activities. The kitchen is well stocked and the outdoor grill is on a large stone patio where you can dine under the stars. My favorite spot is the screened in porch--great for relaxing, reading or doing puzzles. The owners are very friendly and eager to help you enjoy your stay. I cant recommend this vacation spot any more highly.

I have updated my review for the 3rd time. It went from 1 star to 3 to 5. This company truly cares about the satisfaction of its guests. I was surprised at the diligence this team took after a few issues to make sure I understood they cared. They went above and beyond to fix and assure I was happy. Thanks guys.

We had the absolute best time and appreciated all the attention to detail the owners of house and esp property management provided. They thought of everything and we will absolutely be back. Thanks again for the best mountain stay we have ever had!

We have used Blue Ridge Vacation Cabins and Realty for years and they are an outstanding company. In all the cabins that we rented, we rarely had an issue that we needed addressed, however, this last cabin we rented had a few issues. The team at Blue Ridge immediately addressed the issues and made every attempt to ensure that our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The staff is very friendly, responsive and courteous. Were planning another trip in December and well definitely be using Blue Ridge Vacations.

The cabin was beautiful. However, housekeeping was an issue. I specifically inquired about the pet policy and cleanliness before I signed the rental agreement, and was assured by a representative that this was a no pet property. When we arrived, there was pet hair all over the place: on tables, furniture, floors, and it got all over our clothes. We are not pet owners, so not only were we disgusted by this, but I am also allergic. They did refund the housekeeping fee because of this. Another issue was that we got a good bit of snow during our stay. We were told on Saturday afternoon that we were on the list to be plowed that day. No one came to plow until Monday when we were leaving to go home. Consequently, we only left the property once during our stay, only out of necessity to get groceries. We didnt have an opportunity to go out and enjoy Boone because we were afraid that wed get stuck coming and going.

We rented a cabin with them for a family weekend away. Very easy website to book a cabin. A week away from our trip, they emailed and called us to express their concern about our rental. There would be bridge construction near our cabin, and they were afraid the noise would disturb us. What wonderful service! They offered 3 different cabins open for the same time, and seamlessly moved our reservation to one that we picked with no extra charge to us! We will definitely use them again!

From the moment we placed our reservation for A Walk in the Clouds I started having trouble on my end to confirm the contract. Rather than having me jump through all kinds of hoops, Blue Ridge Vacation Cabins helped me out with this problem. They save me A LOT of time and aggravation and I really want to thank you again for that. Making these reservations were the easiest I have ever made. And we have stayed in many different places through the years, and this Cabin was the cleanest we have ever stayed in. From all the valuable information you gave to us before we even arrived, to the spot on directions to our Cabin, to the directions on use of the Lock Box at the Cabin, all of these things made our arrival stress free! Of all the other places we have gone through for Rentals in the past, you are definitely the best. We will have no problem suggesting Blue Ridge Vacation Cabins to all our family & friends. Without a doubt we will be using you in the future with all of our High Country needs. The customer service, response, and attention was magnificent. The cabin we were rented was perfect. When we arrived, it was after office hours and I couldnt figure out the wifi password. I sent an email to the rental company expecting a response the following day. To my surprise, they responded that same night! Their commitment to service and interest in our stay being wonderful will keep us coming back for more!!

Very relaxing and peaceful stay. Mountain views are awesome, make sure you have a good pair of binoculars. Cabin was very comfortable and felt like home. Highly recommend it. We will be back!

We have rented beautiful, well maintained homes from BRVC for the past 7 or 8 years, and have never had anything other than an extremely positive experience. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and go out of their way to make our stay comfortable and stress free. The homes are always beautiful and very well equipped with all the extras that make a mountain vacation such a memorable experience. Our thanks, as always, to Donna and her wonderful staff.

We rented the Secretariat this past weekend and we enjoyed the cabin, the rooms were comfortable for my family. I would just like to point out that the house felt crowded, I believe there is too much furniture and needs a bit of decluttering. All the closets were full so you could not put your clothes in there. I felt like the owners still lived there and left for the weekend with all their stuff still remaining. Also, since there was so much furniture, I get a sense that the cleaning crew was not able to dust properly. Lots of dust. My daughter pulled out the piano table and you could tell that it hadnt been dusted in a while.If one is going to put a property for rental, all personal items need to be removed. We did like the fact that the kitchen was fully stocked and the hot tub was a great addition.

We have rented from this company the last 3 years for long weekend getaways with friends. We have always found their service to be excellent, their properties to be as described and the reservation process to be quite easy. You can browse properties online, call with any questions you may have and the contract which is emailed provides all the information you need to know for your stay. We highly recommend them and will absolutely rent from them again in the future.

Eleven family members got together for a long weekend at the Lodge at River Sound. The cabin was amazing and the staff at BRVC was wonderful to work with to make this adventure possible. I highly recommend them to make your next getaway a true pleasure!!

We rented for BRVC this summer for the first time and the experience was absolutely wonderful. Weve been vacationing in the High Country for years but this was our best vacation yet, thanks to the beautiful and well-kept house we rented. The BRVC staff were friendly and took extra steps to ensure that we had a smooth trip. They even helped us book activities in the area for our kids. We will never rent from anyone else when we vacation!!

We spent a long weekend in one of the houses. The house was clean and well stocked. The staff was friendly and answered all of our questions. Looking forward to dealing with them again in the future.

Had a fantastic time In the Mountains. The cabin was nice and the sunsets from the balcony were amazing.I would definitely stay again. Fabulous weather mid June to mid July. Concerts in the park in Valle Cruses were quite enjoyable. The guys caught some trout in the stream. Oer yonder didnt disappoint and had a few outstanding meals there as well. Recommend AMB for good craft beer and fun atmosphere. Meet alot of nice people during my stay and am looking forward to going back soon.

We stayed at Rhys, our second time, great views, excellent accommodations, stellar service from BRVC! It was so nice to be able to bring the boys - Sarge and Cooper our rescued K9s. We had a wonderful weekend - very nice re-boot!

The home itself is beautiful with beautiful views . HORRIBLE DIRECTIONS. The directions we printed from an email received directly from them told us to veer of the main rd left twice . We were lost on the mountain for over an hour . With an 8 month old and 2 year old. We Had to go back to the bottom of the mountain to call someone for help. We did speak with a man who told us not to leave the main road. We had a lovely stay once we located the home . Just tonight though I received an email that I would not be received $375 of my security deposit because of damages in photos included . They literally sent me photo of old rusty pans that have been used who knows how many times by how many people that basically just look old. The second picture of of a separated towel holder that appears that it could be just snapped back into place . Not even sure this was something that could have possibly happened with our family . Mind u it was me my husband , our two small children, my parents and our nanny. We basically cleaned the entire house before we left to be respectful of the cleaning crew. I am absolutely speechless . It’s not about the money either on this review. It’s the principle behind it , seriously $375 for 2 pans and a towel rack . My opinion is this company must be in some sort of financial trouble and would strongly recommend everyone to avoid rentals with them at all costs . There are plental of other more respectful companies.

I have never been disappointed with BRVC, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to rent in the Blue Ridge Mountains area. Love, love, love the kind, patient, and helpful staff. The rental process is super easy, the homes are always clean, well stocked, and easily found with the directions provided by BRVC. My family loves you BRVC!

BRVC has the best inventory of homes in the High Country ranging from high-end luxury to nice and budget friendly. The staff at BRVC will work with you to find a house that fits your specific needs. Our family visits the area multiple times per year and we have stayed in many of the homes managed by BRVC each of them have met or exceeded our expectations.

Attempted to book a cabin with 5 days advance notice for the 4th of July weekend (so we were under a time crunch). BRVC listed the cabin on VRBO. The title even says July 4th Weekend - Sunny Family Cabin and the house is stated as clearly available for those days both on VRBO as well as the email response I got after I initiated contact to make a reservation. Via email, I was directed to call BRVC for making reservations. I called 3 times and left 2 voicemails before I got someone on the phone at BRVC. The time between my initial contact and actually talking to someone to make the reservation took 3 days.BRVC then told that the cabin was already booked and not available, even the VRBO shows that it is available still. I was then directed / encouraged to consider other homes that they had available.Talk about bait-and-switch! Advertise a nice cabin as July 4th Weekend - Sunny Family Cabin with full availability, then told it doesnt exist and that theyd like to sell me on other options. Totally wasted 2 days when I could have found something else.BRVC is fully aware of the situation with the false advertising on VRBO (and continues to do nothing about it while enjoying all of the business leads they get from the advertisement.)

My wife and I wanted to let everyone know about the wonderful experience we had at Mockingbird Mountain Cabin from Blue Ridge Vacation Cabins for Valentines Weekend 2014.This was such a beautiful Cabin. We could not have asked for anything better. The Cabin was well appointed and so fresh and clean. The Kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed to prepare some great meals on the couple of nights we could not get out due to the weather. We must confess, the 8+ inches of fresh snow made the view all the more beautiful. It did make if a little tricky getting out at times, but with 4-wheel drive and some chains we had no problem. We hope BRVC will convey our thanks to the owners for providing such a wonderful home. They obviouisly put a lot of love and care into this beautiful Cabin. Thanks also to BRVC for making the entire process easy. Your staff was so accomodating and showed such care in making sure we had no problems with all the Snow when we arrived. We rented the Ashby Ridge home for 2 weeks this summer. It was a beautiful home and depicted perfectly on the website. We were only 2 people, but this house was large enough and spacious enough for many more. We never even went upstairs as one of the master bedrooms is on the main level.Valle Crucis was by far the prettiest part of the high country. The meandering Wataugua River was beautiful and the vistas in the valley were amazing!BRVC was wonderful. They were very accommodating and very helpful. We even went to visit the rental agents just to meet them. Weve booked plenty with VRBO, and really dont like dealing directly with owners, as sometimes people get offended by the simplest questions. Dealing with BRVC is dealing with professional real estate agents who are not attached to the homes, but know everything about them and ask great questions to see which homes might suit you best.I wouldnt even look at another company if we go back to visit the area! I highly recommend the house and the company!

Sheets appeared not to have been changed, toaster was broken and you couldnt open windows because of the insects and cobwebs inside the screens.

It was absolutely beautiful.
