SCAM COMPANY! While signing up; Riley (manager at the time) insisted on an unlimited membership to try it out and we were told that we can downgrade it at anytime with a simple phone call, walk-in, or email management directly. However that is not the case. I emailed 11 days ago to downgrade my membership before my billing cycle. I even called that day and the associate over the phone said the manager would see it and issue me a refund in the next few business days. Its been 11 days and I havent seen a refund and my membership status is still unlimited. I called today and spoke with the Ivina the new manager. She told me she could not issue a refund because her system did not allow it and the reason was: it was too long ago. I tried negotiating as this does not make sense to me. She then proceeded to act very arrogantly towards me and hung up the phone while I was speaking. Ive tried calling back and I am being ignored. I have never in my life seen this kind of childish behavior from a business. I was ignored once with the membership downgrade and now Im being ignored via phone. Then I receive an email with a cancellation document requesting me to sign. They want me to cancel while my membership is unlimited so Im charged a higher rate then the level I requested 11 days ago and today again over the phone. This is insane. I will never give another dollar to your company and advise everyone I can never to join and to steer clear. Obviously management is a revolving door there and the owner doesnt care to keep his customers happy. My request was to downgrade only and keep my membership. But now you will lose two members.

If you like routine, sameness, this is your place. Working out in this gym is so boring because you do the same things every day: treadmill, rowing and weights, treadmill, rowing and weights, treadmill, rowing and weights. I couldnt complete 3 weeks because I felt extremely bored. And all this sameness for $169 a month is outrageous! In addition, they force you to buy a very expensive heart monitor, which is only meant to be used inside the gym. A scam! Dont fall for it! Management is insensitive and is not concerned with serving and valuing customers, they only think about money, money, money! That’s a slot machine gym. Dont fall for it!!!!

Personally I really enjoy working out here. The staff is great and the equipment is up to date. The gym is also pristine. In uncertain times like these, that matters to me a lot...

I am VERY disappointed with this location. I have been a member at Orangetheory for quite awhile and have never seen such poor management from one before. Don’t get me wrong the coaches and front desk staff are as sweet as can be! It seems to me and many other members the issue goes far beyond staff and straight to management. Currently there is a A/C issue and management is “working to fix the issue.” It is now going on to another week with no A/C. It’s very disappointing to know that during a pandemic the A/C isn’t fixed within a few days. On top of the A/C issue, comes along the issue of built up moisture. Which will only lead to other problems and health issues. It amazes me every day I get a text saying tomorrow will be no A/C... They are “fixing” the issue with floor units for now. The day the manger brought the floor units I was taking a class, he was outside chatting sitting on the box for the floor unit instead of setting it up during our class. I guess that speaks for itself, if this was my business I would shut down and fix this problem! ESPECIALLY with this new announcement we are told they are opening to full capacity. News flash, have your studio up and going before trying to change things. Safe to say myself and others I spoke with will be transferring our membership to another location.

For a mom with a career and two toddler boys its not easy to find the time to work out. OT has made it so easy with their early classes. The coaches are super motivating and helpful. So happy I decided to join 3 months ago.Thank you to all the staff and coaches who work so hard in keeping the gym a clean and welcoming environment :)

Unfortunately I was in a serious accident and my 6 month membership was finished and about to renew. I went to the OTF in boca and asked them to refund the renewal payment. She asked me to provide a doctors note??? Seriously what kind of organization needs my 160.00 so bad they will do anything to keep my money. I’m sorry but I paid over $800 for the last six months and haven’t even used it but 10 times at most and you can’t even give me the courtesy of refunding the renewal payment. Instead they offered a pack of classes which I’m not going to use and I would never recommend anyone to waste their money with this company. I have yet to experience any type of customer service . Riley was great although she told me she would call me back same day which also didn’t happen. 👎🏻

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service and unclear when I signed up for my membership. The minute I walked in there I was so excited to start my fitness journey and one male manager was waiting outside for me in order to persuade me to sign up. He claimed there that I could cancel whenever I wanted to and I was tied down to nothing. I always ask many questions to ensure I know what I am getting myself into. I signed up because they seemed very promising. BUT when I realized this class was not what I wanted, I called the SAME day and wanted to terminate my membership for the next month. They ensured me that everything would be fine and I would just sign the termination papers which I did my second class and everything would work out. Today, I got a call about 30 minutes ago saying I had to pay the next month and was so confused because I was not told about this when signing up and I even made sure to terminate 30 days in advance which they told me everything would be fine!!! I went to exactly 2 classes because I did not enjoy it which is why I wanted to terminate my membership and the manager, Margo was very rude and harsh on the phone only caring about the fine print of the papers, meanwhile I was told something completely different in person. This place obviously only cares about the money. I was very upset because I basically wasted $200 and I am a college student at FAU who does not want to spend that money on something I do not use. At this point, I was forced to pay but I am more upset about how I was treated, talked to, and misinformed. I will never go back here and I recommend finding another gym with people who actually care about their clients. Very upset.

I love OTF! I’ve been a member for 5 1/2 years and I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of this workout. I love that every class is a complete full body workout with the perfect mix of cardio and weight training. No two classes are structured the same so it never gets monotonous. Highly recommend if you’re thinking of giving it a try!

I truly enjoy Orange Theory, its tough but not too difficult they meet you where youre at, upbeat music excellent coaches and a clean atmosphere!!

I have been to quite a few different OTF centers and my first experience here was decent. My second encounter however, not pleasant at all. No consideration for their clients and only for themselves. I recommend any other OTF center other than this one. Terrible customer service

My friend and I are students at florida Atlantic university and went to a free class together. I did not enjoy it as much but she signed up and they claimed it was a month to month membership basically persuading her to sign up. They never said anything about a two month minimum. She got a call today’s telling her she had to pay for another month meanwhile she was never told that. This plaice has horrible customer service and everyone is very rude. I do not recommend signing up because they are very misinformed and do not care about there customers at all!

Awesome workouts in a clean, spaced-out studio. The coaches are very helpful, motivating, and have a way of making these tough workouts really fun.

My friend and I joined a class at boca raton orange theory and she signed up, however I did not. The manager was waiting for us outside and persuaded her into joining. She claimed she could only do it for one month yet she got a call claiming she had to pay for the second month. The staff was unfriendly during this time and seemed to only care about the business and not the individual clients. I would not recommend joining.

I just had my first class on Tuesday and everyone was extremely friendly and motivating towards the goals that I would like to reach. Very much looking forward to going back for my next session!

I have really enjoyed my coaches, Mallory and Clark! I think the enthusiasm is awesome and so is the music. I feel motivated every time I have been and I am by no means excited to work out.

Very disappointed with this organization. When my six month membership ended and I decided not to renew I found out quickly who I was dealing with. I was in a bad car accident and came in the day of my renewal to tell them I’m cancelling and would like my payment reimbursement for the renewal. Riley tried everything to make it seem like I have to prove why I needed the payment refunded and even went as far as asking for a doctors note!?!? Are you serious. And then after I explained to her that I was not able to use the classes she insisted that’s what type of payment they could refund instead of the $160 Yeah I would never recommend anyone to this location or any Orange theory for that matter if that’s what truly matters to them. Horrible customer service and it reflects through the organization. I paid over $800 and used all of maybe 10 classes and they couldn’t even give me the courtesy to refund a single payment. They have no class if they’re that petty.

What a great gym. I recently signed up when my gym was still locked down. For starters, what a difference as soon as you enter.

I love the front desk staff and coaches. Also getting to know regulars. Most of all like the group feel and times classes are run. If you are competitive you will love this. Workouts are never boring. Social events.

I always have the best workouts here. The fitness coaches are awesome and push you to goal. Theyre sensitive about our workout goals and really care about us achieving them.I go to Dani and Amandas classes- theyre awesome!! They have gotten to know me by name and that shows a lot. If I dont go a few days they take notice.The front desk folks are always so kind and provide excellent customer service. Mike is awesome!! Another sweet friendly face is Erika. And its nice that they greet you by name when you come in.Overall this is the best workout, in the best atmosphere, with the best equipment (its new and updated, surrounded by awesome people!!I cannot say enough great things!!Get in the zone!! You wont regret it- not at Boca Central.

The place is clean and well maintained, and the trainer focuses not only on maintaining good pace through the workout, but getting it done nicely. The best gym ever!

Absolutely love OTF Boca Central. Everyone is so kind and they treat their members like family. All the coaches are amazing but Jenn is honestly the best coach I’ve ever had, she always pushes you to do your very best. And the front desk is always welcoming (Helena, Justin, Sophie) and a big thanks to Rob for taking over and doing a great job at managing one of my favorite studios.

I have been going to Orangetheory for about a little over a year. This studio has undergone MAJOR changes and in the last few months, the difference is apparent.The coaches and the staff are AMAZING. BEST place to work out, by far. I have gone to a few different studios and the staff and members of this studio are by far my favorite! Couldnt be a happier member!

I do not regret signing up at all! Every single person/trainer that I have met so far; is wonderful! They start on time, they correct you if youre position is out of alignment, and most importantly, they do it with so much kindness, and enthusiasm. You wont regret it! I encourage everyone to try it, and stick through. Youll be glad that you did! Its very empowering!

Great location. Friendly staff. Only issue is one trainer with very strong French accent. Talks way too much during class and is hard to understand. Most of us are leaving this location due to this. It makes the class unenjoyable unfortunately. FYI very nice trainer but just too much talking. Way too much.

BEWARE!!!!! Horrible customer service by the current staff! Due to an error made by a former employee from the previous owner, I was charged several MONTHS after I filled out the paperwork to cancel my membership. I pulled my back out while on their rowing machine in April 2014. In May 2014, I went in and filled out the paperwork to cancel my membership because I no longer wanted to go there. Unbeknownst to me, my membership was never canceled and the charges continued until December. Orange theory called me in January 2015 to tell me the automatic withdrawal didnt go through. It didnt go through because my credit card information had changed. That is how I found out about the charges! This location changed ownership since I left so I spoke with the new owner about the issue. He told me he would look into it. I called several times and my phone calls were never returned until almost a month later. The owner basically told me they had no record of me canceling my membership and that they only show a freeze on the account. He told me he would refund me the money for November and December which is when he owned the place. That was almost 2 weeks ago and he never did that and I called twice and left messages and never got back to me. The last time I used the facility was in the first week of April, 2014. I havent touched their equipment since. Corporate and the owner of this location know this and yet no one wants to claim responsibility. My advice, check your credit card statement after canceling any type of membership and request a copy of the paperwork you fill out! i had been a loyal customer for one year before I hurt my back there. Deplorable!!!

I liked going to Orangetheory, its fun, pushes you hard, and is goal oriented.Although I had a tough time when I ruptured my ACL. I tried to transfer my classes to someone who would have loved using them. The manager said that because corporate watched them so closely they couldnt transfer these classes. Although, they did mention that the classes will never expire which may be helpful.

The class started on time. The trainer provided a full explanation of each activity before we began, love the video w the exercises and # of repetitions. Like the corrections from the trainer and the positive feedback. Accessible location.

Ive fallen in and out of love with Orange Theory over the years but Ive been able to stay committed and stick through my workouts (particularly at this location). Everyone knows your name, all of the trainers take the time to correct your form (when needed) and everyone is understanding when life becomes hectic and you have to cancel your session. I love the accountability and thats what keeps me honest but I appreciate the flexibility and being able to talk-through my work-out plans/goals.

VERY IMPRESSED AND SUPER HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!I just joined Orangetheory in East Boca. I was a little nervous about it after reading some of the older reviews, about customer service, etc. I just have to say that I found my experience when calling very pleasant and informative. I scheduled my first free class this past Saturday (January 23rd). The ladies at the front desk were super nice and helpful! Dani was my 7:45 a.m. instructor (full class for a early Saturday morning) who checked in on me repeatedly and corrected me when I was not doing an exercise right, even how I was handling myself on the treadmill. At the end of the class, she came up to me and congratulated me on finishing the class and went over the progress email I wold receive and all of the information on the TV screen during our workout and how to understand everything! I was so impressed with the staff and the trainer!Now, as to the Orangetheory workout itself. I have to say that I was a little apprehensive, as I was recently spending my time at a conventional gym, paying for personal training, and taking a few classes and doing my own cardio. I have to say that on Sunday, throughout the day, my body became soar all over, which is a great feeling compared to just leg day or upper body day at the gym. I know you can probably create your own workout routine at the gym like Orangetheory, but I have to say that if you are a person who requires structure and to basically be told what to do, Orangetheory is for you. I particularly love how the trainer shows you each strength exercise and how the exercise is always on the TVs so if you forget what you are doing, you simply look up and there is everything you need to know.Everyone has their own experience ... but I have to say I LOVE ORANGETHEORY!

Do they give less than one star? Before I joined, everyone was friendly. At my first class as a paying member, the instructor basically leaned against the wall and ignored everyone. As a newbie who didnt know what to do, I thought for the price I was paying he might come over when I was clearly lost. How wrong I was. I entered the class one minute late and it was too late for instructions.When I complained of the lack of professionalism, the owner told me not to come back. He essentially stole my money because I paid for 8 sessions and got one. He did not offer to refund the unused sessions.A close friend told me they bullied her into joining and ended up charging her for 3 months because you must cancel in person. So they dinged her card for 3 months for one session.You can duplicate Orange Theory Fitness in any gym at a fraction of the price. You could hire a personal trainer for less than the cost of sessions here if you need the guidance and motivation.I cant speak for other locations but you should skip Orange Theory Fitness Boca Raton.

Great place to work out. Friendly staff, plenty of classes and the splat point tracking makes for some competitive aspect to the classes which is fun as well.
