I regularly receive recruiting emails from this agency, and their latest states openly that there is no covid vaccine requirement for their nursing staff. If you are fine with the agency staff coming into your home potentially infecting you or your loved ones, then theyre probably a great choice. As an RN who has been working in hospital through this pandemic, I wouldnt let a vaccine denier provide care for my medically fragile clients.

Maxim is an excellent homecare agency. There are nursing shortages so even though it is difficult to recruit staff, Maxim works hard to get the staff we need. We have been pleased with the clinical supervisors and nurses Maxim sends to work with our son. Their educational expectations are high which is very important to me. They also properly orient new nurses to our case giving nurses the time they need to learn the care. Our case manager has been dedicated to making sure that the services we receive are meeting our needs. He makes sure our case is properly staffed as much as possible. He has recently spent long hours, many times past the end of the workday, helping us with an appeal involving our insurance company. I cant even imagine getting through this without his help and support. This is the type of service that a thank you doesnt even begin to convey the deep appreciation we have for him and those at Maxim who have supported his efforts. Maxims hard work and dedication to our sons needs is unique. Our recruiter is awesome as well and does his best to keep our case staffed. I would recommend Maxim Healthcare and feel they are a leader in their industry.

We used Maxim Healthcare to staff home nurses for the care of our medically fragile child. They listened to our needs and desires and brought highly-qualified candidates before us. After hearing so many nightmare home nursing stories from fellow special needs families, we were pleasantly surprised with just about all of the nurses they found for us to consider. When all was said and done, they found the perfect nurse for our son, and he was able to finally come home from the hospital just before his first birthday. The team we worked with were always available for us to hear our needs and concerns. We would HIGHLY recommend this Maxim Healthcare branch for any of your nursing needs!!! We are forever grateful to them for their help.

Having a medically complex child can be one of the most stressful times. Maxim reached out to myself and my husband during this time, to set up home nursing to be able to bring our baby home. Something I was not aware of before this experience, is that home health nurses are very hard to find. Tyler and his team did not quit, and still wont quit, in making sure we are staffed. We are 7 months into using Maxim for our nurses, and while we have had some issues, we have had some nurses that didnt work out, and I even had a meltdown that resulted in a not-so-nice outburst directed at Brad, they continue to do their best to help us, all while displaying an amount of client care that I havent seen from others. Whether they are calling to tell me they have a nurse for us, or they are on the receiving end of my frustrations, they have always continued to stay professional, courteous, and hard working. At the end of the day, it feels great to have people in our corner who care for our baby like we do. I feel the care they show to the patients is amazing, and the way they interact with the parents and families is so much appreciated. To take from another review I have read- home care is hard to fill in general. Sometimes, impossible. But i am 100% confident that Maxim works with everything they have to do everything they can to make it work. They have been on our side from the beginning, and i couldnt ask for a better group to work with.

If I could give less stars I would. So I brought an excellent nurse to this I guess you can call it an agency to begin nursing services for my medically fragile child who is now 7. The night the nurse was supposed to start I get a call from Mitch saying that our insurance denied our hours. A few weeks later I find out that was a lie. These people took the nurse I had an had her working another case!!! I got in touch with our insurance company they comfirmed we were approved for hours but this agency told us we werent which the insurance company called bizarre because Brad from maxim assured them that they would get in touch with my nurse and get me some help to my home. Guess what, when they called the nurse they wanted to send her to another case not mine. So we now have another agency with the same nurse I brought to maxim. If I cant have her yall definitely cant! My question which was never answered is why was my child denied services but others werent. Textbook descrimination.

We have had maxim as our Homecare service for a year now. Honestly I have been very impressed. After several bad experiences with other companies, it’s a relief to finally have a company that makes decisions based on family and patients needs vs solely money. We have had a lot of rough times over this year with covid and weather. My amazing recruiter Blake S. has been such a help, doing anything he can to find replacement nurses and approving overtime to get us through the rough times. Thats come to me as quite a shock, as it’s not been my experience with other companies. I am very please with Maxim and would encourage anyone who finds them selves in the need of home healthcare services to choose them first and not waste time on the others like I did for the first 1.5 yrs.I have recently become an employee of maxim as well. After seeing how highly my nurses spoke and seeing first hand how they stood behind their client families. With pride I can say I really enjoy my employer and the pay is very competitive for home healthcare nurses. I will most likely never return to nursing facilities as the home healthcare benefits out weigh the amount of stress and ridicule nurses get for a few extra dollars in medical facilities. A+ employer!

The reality is that the homecare industry as a whole isn’t great. There’s very little incentive for qualified nurses to work in homecare vs a facility or office. In huge part that is due to the insurance companies and their reimbursement rates. It can be a major challenge to find a warm body, let alone a nurse who’s actually qualified to care for your child. A piece of advice is to always assume you need to fully train any nurse who works your case. Different nurses have different training, and even someone who has been working with trachs/vents for years may not do things the way you prefer. We take the time to train our nurses to our liking and actually give them the opportunity to learn, instead of assuming and then firing them when they seem to be lacking a particular skill. When our daughter was hospitalized and received her trach, Maxim (Blue Ash) was the only agency even willing to try to fill our needs. Our referral was put in to 7 other local agencies and none of them could fill our needs (or really even tried). I personally called these agencies a few weeks after the referral was put in and only one (beyond Maxim) even bothered to call me back. Maxim got us home from the hospital as quickly as they could. We’ve been home for over a year now and have had our fair share of nursing mishaps and days/nights without coverage. Maxim works hard to try to fill those slots for us—in particular Tyler. He goes above and beyond for us—communicating with us well after his shift is done for the day, resolving any issues we have with our nurses, fighting with our private insurance and Medicaid to increase our covered nursing hours so we can have a full schedule, and just trusting our judgment and feedback on nurses in general. Maxim is also willing to hire nurses you bring to them and allow them to work only for your case (which is something many other agencies don’t allow).Maxim has its issues for sure, as do most homecare agencies. Communication can be a struggle, so having open communication with your nurses will help the situation tremendously. It’s also helpful to be direct but friendly with the Maxim staff—you will ALWAYS catch more flies with sugar than vinegar.

If you have any choice, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They do not communicate with patients in a timely manner. Our nurse was admitted to the hospital for emergency surgery last Tuesday and now it is Sunday night and I just found out from our nurse that she cant make it. Did Maxim call to notify us? NO! Did they set up another nurse to come out to our home tomorrow morning like we had originally scheduled? NO! And this is not the first time! They will leave you hanging. They dont care about the patients and Ive caught them in lies before trying to cover their butts. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

I’ve been waiting on a nurse for over a year now for my medically complex son. I’ve had three different recruiters. I was going to get one last December but my son got admitted for a UTI and switched dialysis modalities. They never followed up as to when she could start until a month later they said she left the company. Which to me is funny because they sent that nurse to work for my friend who’s son has similar issues so I had already known she took another assignment then left. At this point I just don’t want one because of the unreliability of this company.

Temporary Heroes? Haha! When I called to tell them my daughter would be coming home from the hospital, Blake told me all of our nurses resigned the case and we should look elsewhere. I spoke with our nurses and they said otherwise. This was not the first time I caught Blake in a falsehood or for that matter other recruiters in that office.I loved our nurses and they treated our daughter well. I will miss them greatly. Unfortunately, we have to put our daughter in s nursing home because we can’t find an agency that works with vents. I am truly heartbrokenMart Moore

These recruiters have a very loose grasp on the concept of listening. They will call you multiple times per day but have no substance. They will call to stress that you have your hair up for the interview and practice interview questions for jobs seeking experience.Applied and interviewed for an EMT position on a Thursday. Supposed to have an answer Friday. Friday comes and Im told that they will have an answer Monday. Monday comes and Im told they will have an answer Tuesday. Tuesday comes and now they may have an answer in 3 days. They supposedly have multiple positions available but dont seem to want to fill them.Avoid the frustration and apply somewhere else.

I thought they were a garbage company in PA, after seeing how they operate and how they screw over ppl wanting to work there for their office who are more than qualified for the position, I can say that this company is a stay away from kind of company. They bring you in for 2 different interviews, Then you shadow people for 2-3 hours on your own time, then they don’t hear anything and they waste your time only to not hire you. Take your business and employment elsewhere and stay clear of these ppl.

Maxim is a healthcare facility that provides home care as well as facilities.I worked for them in the past for 7 years and had a work injury well ..I applied again a month ago and had an online first aide and CPR card certificate which was $20 a piece but they had me pay $50 for a CPR and first aide class and was brought in afterwards to take an assessment test in which I was told that they would call me when orientation started, well I hadnt heard anything so I called and I was told through Ryan a recruiter that worked with me , that he didnt know when the orientation class would start . But he would call and let me know. So I decided to stay in touch andCalled a week later to find out Ryan the recruiter then was on vacation remind you all still no call. So I asked questions about when orientation would start and was told by office staff that they would call me back.then finally someone told me that Maxim health care doesnt HIRE Home Health AIDES WHICH IS NOT TRUE.. PLUS MET ONE THAT IS EMPLOYED WHEN I WENT IN TO DO MY APPLICATION..that was also the position I applied for and took in certifications and so forth. I believe they are Discriminating because I was Hurt through them Many Years Ago..I should file a lawsuit for discrimination against them for taking me through the trouble and giving me a feeling of a secured position ...What do you think. ? Ryan and the other recruited specialist. Shame shame shame !! The notice of apology sent below was B.S. they NEVER CONTACTED ME AT ALL. JUST PUT THE MESSAGE BELOW TO LOOK LIKE THEY WERE CONCERNED IT NEVER HAPPENED AT ALL. Shame on this company!!
