We knew when we recently bought our home in Bloomington that the roof would have to be replaced soon. Leaks during a storm determined it should be replaced now. We chose Koontz because they were highly recommended by a family member. Also I called for an estimate. Julio came the next day to do a thorough roof inspection. I recently used Koontz to replace my well aged roof. Koontz could not have made things any easier for me. I went from asking a sales guy on a roof for a business card to having a quote in hand for my roof the same night. Scheduling was a breeze. The morning of the repair, the manager was outside and ready by 7:30 that morning. Every member of the crew had a smile on their face and something friendly to say. Theyve got the job down to a science as they had completely replaced the roof and cleaned up after themselves by lunch. The prices were fair, the service was great. The shingles on our roof were extremely worn. The team from Koontz came out and ten hours later, our shingles were replaced and looks absolutely amazing. Koontz Roofing replaced our 30-year-old roof and 6 skylights in 12 hours one Wednesday. We chose them because Julio was the most persuasive sales rep Ive ever encountered -- fully informed, upbeat, helpful samples, no rush, great attitude -- and also had persuaded us that Malarkey shingles, ecologically good (recycled rubber I think, and long-lasting), were better than the alternative offered by two other bids (I also googled later, and googlers agreed). The price was in line with the other bids. Julio offered references, including addresses so I could see colors in real life, and they all raved about him, the company, the results. He went back and forth with me about whether and how many skylights to replace and why -- very patient. After some to-and-fro with Adam about scheduling, to accommodate weather and my needing a quiet day to host a Zoom, the office sent a helpful sheet of no surprises tips on what to expect, and materials were dropped a few days before at a spot in the driveway interfering with nothing. The crew of 12-13 showed up at 7:30 a.m., and they worked nonstop, a well-oiled friendly team. I think Adam was there all day as foreman, and Julio dropped by as well. It was amazing to watch them work, they checked with me a couple of times with judgment calls on trimming bushes for access, the clean-up was phenomenal -- we found ONE nail afterwards --, and we love the results, a gorgeous new roof on house, breezeway, and garage. (Note: Midnight Black is really a dark mottled gray, as hoped). I highly recommend Koontz Roofing.

Just had a new roof installed. The old roof was getting up there in age and I had Koontz come out and take a look and give me a quote. Its a busy time of year, but they managed to come out within a few days. Julio took some pictures of what was going on and did a great job of explaining some of the existing issues going on beyond just the age of the old roof. He gave me a good comfort level that they knew what they were doing and would take care of any and all issues. They matched the shingle color/style to a recent addition and got me back a quote vey quickly. After accepting the quote I got scheduled in a week. The crew started early and worked until it was dark (they confirmed I was ok with both beforehand). Its a fairly large and steep roof and they needed a second day to finish. They started back early the next day and finished around lunch. They got everything cleaned up pretty well. I walked around the house later that afternoon and only found a handful of small pieces that were missed and no nails. The new roof looks great. Overall I was very happy with the whole experience.

The guys from Koontz came out and checked out my roof. Jamar Properties sent them out and they were very thorough in checking our roof. The gentlemen showed up right away and came back the next day because I was busy working. They explain what the issue was, repaired it, and even went up in the attic to make sure everything was OK.The guy that works there said he wasnt the boss when I asked for a business card but that his boss treats him really well. Koontz did an absolutely wonderful job with my skylight (upstairs study) and solar tube (kitchen). It is amazing how much natural light I have that I didn‘t have before. They did an amazing job. They got out late, due to a delay on their previous job but when they showed up, man did they work hard. They did a great job of cleaning up afterwards as well. They even came back out the next day to make sure they didnt miss anything while they cleaned up in the dark. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I tried for over a year to get a company to come fix a leak in the side of my house. I had even agreed with 5 different companies to come do the work but no one ever showed up to complete the job. It was refreshing working with Koontz. They communicated very well, quoted, and completed the work in a very timely manner. They were easy to work with and did a great job. As of today, there is no leak! The only concern I had was the bill when I noticed work they didnt have to do still on the bill. If I didnt ask about it I would have paid more then necessary. The great part, however, they didnt even put up fight when I questioned the final bill and adjusted it to reflect the work completed. This does not dampen my opinion of them. I would definitely hire this company again and recommend them to others based on my experience.

Koontz, is top notch in my opinion. They have done my roof and guttering and most recently 2 very large patio doors. One of those was on an upper level with no stairs going up to it. If there are any issues after they finish, they promptly get them taken care of. I have recommended them to several people and will continue to do so. Another thing I like is that someone actually answers the phone when you call! Even if Sherri is gone, it still gets answered. Oh, and the owner is a super nice guy!

Koontz Roofing was able to repair our leaky roof before we moved into our new home. The work was done so quickly that we never saw any materials or tools in our yard - the roof issue was there one day and completely dealt with the next!
