I initially called to schedule a tow for the next morning whenever possible and the rep on the phone was very courteous and got me on the schedule quickly. The driver was quick, very polite, got it handled with no problems and at a reasonable price! I am very glad I called and will definitely use them from now on! Mechanic himself called me to ask about problems, & gave me a price range, which was very accurate. Mechanic also called me when done. & explained step by step everything he did & why, & told me about things that dont need to be done now, but in short future He explained how the parts he fixed worked, so I would understand exactly what he did & why. Very polite, informative & pleasant. And they have 24 hr towing too! I am so happy to have found them & will use them for everything now. My only regret is that I didnt try them a long time ago! Jordan was my mechanic!

Friendly, solid, customer-focused business. Highly recommended. My friends and family have used them a handful of times and every interaction and service has been great. I have realized that tow companies that contract with cities often are not to be trusted, for many reasons. Winks employees seem to be genuinely nice and caring people and I would be surprised if they wouldnt be able to work out something for those in unique situations. Winks is the perfect example of how towing companies should be.

Worked with Charlie (phone) to schedule a tow and Eric showed up right on time! Eric was very professional and carefully hooked up/towed my vehicle away. Winks has an easy pay option setup with my State Farm agent, Rick McLean (rickmclean.com) - they billed their office directly for the tow! I will certainly use Winks again and am so thankful for my State Farm agent making this process easy and painless.

I chose Winks Towing based on their rating score and prior customer comments. Joes Towing is much closer to where I live, but saw Winks as an option and thought I shall give them a go. They were very prompt, arriving 15-20 minutes after the call. They were friendly and accommodating. The price for the tow was reasonable. I would recommend to others and use again in the future!

We’re from out of town visiting family and our Ford F-150 failed to start in below freezing temperatures. Not knowing who to contact we searched for a reputable towing service and found Winks Shell-Towing. They responded to our need for assistance and towed the truck to a local mechanic within 30 minutes. I gave my son their business card in case he ever needs a tow in Bloomington-Normal.

Today was the first day ive ever gotten a tow ive never gotten one before and I gotta say this was the best first experience with winks towing my boi Parker rolled up and was super cool and just had a really good vibe I was worried about my car getting damaged and what not and he made me feel comfortable about it and was super professional I definitely recommend this place to anybody who wants a good experience Thanks Parker!

I called in the evening when my car broke down on the side of the road. Parker answered right away, answered all my questions, took my info and got the payment processed and tow scheduled and done without me having to stick around with my car. He was friendly and helpful, and sent me a text message to let me know when he had gotten my vehicle dropped off at the requested location. While towing is not a service I hope to need again, if I do this will be who I call.

I needed a unit transported from Bloomington to a neighboring town. Called the first place I saw when I searched for places. Super friendly folks on the phone (Matt and I didn’t get the name of the guy when I initially called), and I was met very quickly by one of their professionals named Parker. He showed up with a brand new flatbed, knew what he was doing on both the pickup & drop off, and was very professional throughout the deal. Parker was also very friendly and his customer service skills are hard to come by. People like Parker make a fantastic image for the rest of their business. New, clean, solid equipment, I would trust these guys with anything I needed done. Prices are very fair. 10/10 will for sure be using their services again whenever I need them. Charlie was the best! Super fast service and very affordable. Will be going here for all our towing needs! I would 1000% recommend towing with Winks!!We were stopped in the Eastland Mall parking lot and he came within 30 minutes, and the car was hitched and ready to be brought to the destination within 5 minutes. Other towing companies have taken over 30 minutes just to hitch the car. Winks also was able to quickly get the car to the auto center and even towed it inside the garage for easier access. Charlie also was super helpful throughout the entire process and was the sweetest person. They definitely deserve all of the stars ⭐️

Although their website says that they have a service station that works on brakes, apparently that only applies to certain cars.The brakes went out on my car so I was hoping I would be able to get it towed and worked on at one place but I was told that they couldnt fix my car and I couldnt schedule a time to get my car towed either, I had to give my CC info over the phone (which makes me uncomfortable) and I was told to leave my keys in my car and they would come get it at some point. They seemed very nice on the phone and the towing rate was pretty decent thats about the only good thing I can say.

Our car wouldnt start and needed a tow to the car dealership to get it serviced. My wife checked out reviews on towing service companies in town. We decided to call Winks Towing Service after reading all the positive reviews. Had to wait only about 35 minutes before Charlie arrived. He was very nice (as was the person my wife spoke with on the phone) and had the car hooked up and at the dealership in less than a half hour. Because of our insurance, Winks handled all the paperwork for us. Exceptional service!

I cant say enough about these guys and the company. I had a major mechanical failure in my F450 while towing my toy hauler back from Memphis, to Grand Rapids Mi. I was just in to Illinois by maybe 45 minutes and my junk cursploded. They responded right away, got me home in great time. The bill was not a bank buster either. Very fair and friendly! Extremely helpful! Hopefully I never need them again...But if I do, I wont hesitate to call them!

My sons car blew a radiator in a small town about 20 miles from the Winks Shell location. It was Sunday, Fathers Day, and I assumed nothing would be done until Monday. My son took my car and drove home to Georgia while I arranged for the repairs. I called Winks Shell to see if they would tow the car to the Nissan dealer. They were very accommodating and said that they could tow the vehicle that afternoon. The gentleman was very supportive and I asked if they do repairs. Bottom line - they towed the car, installed a new radiator, checked the system, tested the repair and were done by 7 pm on a Sunday! A Fathers Day Sunday! Everyone with whom I had a conversation was polite and seemed to sincerely want to help solve the problem. I wish that I lived in the area to give them continued business - and their labor rate was very reasonable and below the posted Nissan rate.Highly recommend.

This is the second time I have used Winks and each time, the drivers are pleasant and compassionate. This is amazing treatment after whatever situation has occurred in which you need your car towed. Also, when I called the next day after our car was towed after an accident, CHARLIE was the nicest guy Ive ever had the pleasure of chatting with on the phone. He asked me how I was, if we were doing ok and he didnt even know ME or what happened, just asked if we were ok. That is simple but such meaningful treatment after such an event. Thank you Charlie.

I would put more than 5 stars if I could!!! Winks towing has the nicest workers!!!! I was 3 hours away from home when my battery died, and they were so fast and friendly about the whole ordeal! I also don’t have the slightest idea when it comes to cars but the they showed real concern and told me to get my car checked so I don’t get stranded somewhere again!! I recommend their service to everyone!! I’m just sad that I don’t live in Bloomington so I can regularly use their service!

I called Winks towing this morning and had the truck moved at my own convenience within a couple hours. I spoke with John and he was really friendly, patient, and helpful with what I needed. John showed up, hooked up my truck quickly (even filled the tires), and towed my truck to the new location without and issues or questions. When we got there I had asked him if he could back into a tricky spot (in a cramped shared overhang garage) and he agreed with no hesitation. Backed it in first try on a weird angle. I paid for the very reasonable towing fee and he was on his way to the next job. I would highly reccomend Winks Towing to anyone. I would not use another service in town.

I didn’t require the use of their towing service, but the guys were very nice and helpful with repairing my flat tire! I don’t live around here (do you truly know fear until you’re a thousand miles from home and get a flat?), but if I did, I’m sure these guys would be my go-to! Fast and friendly service!

We called Winks for a tow because our daughter lost the keys to her car. Thankfully, we found the keys and called Winks to cancel the tow. Since the tow truck was only a block away from getting to us when we cancelled, we offered to pay something for them coming out, and they kindly declined. Great people. This was one of the worst experiences ever! They towed my car because it had been stuck in a snow drift in a ditch. I finally got there and they told me it would be 292.00 to get my car. I had asked them to please tell me why it was this much, and if there was anyway we could lower the price. The employee gave me a sarcastic remark that I could wake up the guy that towed it, hes sleeping right now. It was 65.00 for towing, 77.00 for gas and 150.00 for the labor. I told them that it was an outrageous price for towing a vehicle that I did not even have a chance to get it out myself the next day. I paid the amount and when I went back to get the vehicle it was completely totaled and snow covered the inside. They failed to even let me know that the vehicle was not drivable. Avoid dealing with this company at all costs. I have always tried helping family owned businesses like this Shell station/repair shop but this is extortion.
