Madison turned me into a regular here. Great haircuts, almost like a spa day.

I called ahead to make an appointment for my 7 year old, and they were ready when we got there. I showed the stylist a picture of the length he wanted. When he came in his hair was about 4 inches long. She said she would cut 1 inch off his hair and showed me how far she would cut. After agreeing, she then proceeded to cut 3 inches off his hair instead. She also made some other mistakes, around the ear and at the side/front of his head (both sides). I would not recommend this place for a haircut and will not go here again. You do not get what you pay for. However, the stylist was polite, was wearing a mask properly, and the location was clean, all of which I appreciated.

Madison is truly an artist. I got a fantastic haircut plus a great conversation. She is extremely personable and friendly. I had a great experience here because of her. Highly recommend!!

TLDR: Fantastic place, highly recommended!I don’t I’ve even been more satisfied with a haircut! This was also my first time at Lady Jane’s so I had no idea how well the haircut would go. I’m happy to say it went much better than I expected. The hair cutters are nice and easy to talk to. While waiting the couches are comfy and the sign in process is simple. My hair cutter was Matt, he works Monday through Friday from 10am to 8 pm. He did an AWESOME job.

This place had a great atmosphere! Madison was the one that cut my hair and let me tell you she did a fantastic job! It started with her greeting me and asking about how my day was going! Then she asked me what I would like to get done! She repeated back to me of what I asked just to make sure we were clear of what I wanted done! Throughout the process she made sure with me that I was content with how it was turning out! (Which I was!) She wore her mask and was very professional the whole time! I felt like I decided this was the best and only place to get my haircut especially with Madison! I absolutely recommend Madison and lady janes!

I asked for a low fade and too leave the hair at the top so I could grow it out. Ended up not getting that at all. Might actually be the most disappointing haircut of my life. Guys if you go here make sure you don’t just randomly pick ur stylist. Lisa or whatever her name is will ruin your head.

Have been coming to Lady Janes in Blacksburg for a few years. Alex has been great has been cutting my hair for awhile now amd does a great job. I am not a person who puts to much input just let her do her thing and she always does a great job on a nice face. She very responsive when I contact her and we get along well.

I(a guy) went here to get my hair dyed blonde and get a haircut. I definitely didnt want to try it at home and screw it up. Matt has a ton of experience dying hair and made me feel very confident about how it would turn out. The dye and the haircut both look amazing.5 stars

I had an appointment for 11:30am. I was on time and checked in. I was the only one in the waiting area. At 12:00pm another customer walks in and is helped right away. I waited untill 12:25pm with no update on how long I would have to wait. I just walked away, what a waste of time!

Ive gotten my hair cut at several places in Blacksburg and the surrounding area, and this is the place I always return to. I usually make an appointment with Missy or Matt, but Ive had my hair cut by several other stylists there as well. Theyve always been friendly and professional, and theyve always done a good job. Their prices are competitive with other shops in the area. I recommend going to Lady Janes.

Enjoyed my visit here, the staff welcomed me as I came in, very positive and welcoming environment it looks like. I was then greeted by my hair stylist who I believe was named Madison, she was very informative and professional and helped me get the best value for my money with the different packages they had , she gave me a wonderful haircut and scalp massage! I was quite satisified and impressed and she made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole experience, a experience Ive never encountered in the local hair places around here. I moved to the area 2 years ago and had a hard time finding someplace to get a descent hair cut and beard trim. Finally found this place on a FB add and love it. I called to make a appointment and Sarah said to just come on in, WOW I love this place and Sarah is awesome, great hair cut and beard trim! Love the hot towels and shave. Everyone is friendly and the place is super clean,comfortable chairs and TVs at every station. Customer for life at least as long as Sarah is there! Give them a try you will love it!

An amazing place with a great atmosphere and professional work. If you are looking for a place that provides constant/ professional haircuts each appointment, then this is the place for you. Set up an appointment with Missy, Sarah, or Ashley.

Mismanaged appointments. Untrained people. I gave the place 4 chances. Only the regional manager who happened to be in this location the first time I went, was worth the extra money. Second visit I had to wait 30mins with appointment for an ok cut at best. Third time was a newbie who just did an awful job. And the last time I went I decided to leave after spending 20 minutes past my so called appointment. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to better and more professionally managed locations. I wonder what kind of store will open here when this location finally shuts down due to poor performance! Would give zero stars.

On the positive side, the place is in a good location. Its open late. The staff is friendly.On the not so positive side, I came out looking butchered. I wont be back.As a side note, government licensing does not mean the licensee knows how to cut hair. Just means the licensee knows how to waste time in school, fill out paperwork, and pay the fine/fee for permission to work.

Went before an interview and they screwed up my hairline and sides. Didnt even offer a free haircut. I had to go to Harveys to get it fixed.

The atmosphere is nice and you get a lot of accessories (i.e TV, nice chair, so on). However, my haircut was was decent at best. My stylist was not very attentive to the details. I asked for a fade but it just looked like she buzzed the sides of my head. There a couple of small patches that seemed to have been uncut especially behind my ears. The stylist was nice but the quality was just not there.

TLDR: Depends on who you get, experiences vary.I had a few hair cuts here in the past, the staff has always been very professional and warm. Today I had a hair cut by a staff who, it seems, does not really want to be working there. Experiences definitely vary depending on who you have. Try sticking to who worked for you last time, although it might be difficult given how often their schedules change.

Got a great, careful cut from Emily! She knew exactly what I was asking for (1-3 faded up on the sides and back, and taking just a bit off on one side to even out a bad haircut I got previously), and kept conversation better than I could all throughout. Definitely will be returning. If you come, I highly suggest adding the shampoo treatment, the conditioner has peppermint and leaves your head and hair with a tingly and fresh feel.

I am writing from the perspective of a female who cuts their hair short (clipper size 3 to 5) and presents more androgynously. I have gone to Ashley three times and Ive decided Im gonna stick with her for a while. Compared to my experiences going to other places that cut short female hair, Ashley is a lot more meticulous and when I couldnt describe what I wanted my sides to look like I gave her the freedom to do what she wanted and it worked out so well and my hair cut doesnt look as feminine as it did previously. I wouldnt say my haircut is super masculine though so Im pretty happy. This place is amazingly cheap too.

Ive never gone here and had a good experience.Either the staff are just plain rude or unskilled. After being explicit with my instructions I had to get the hairdresser to continue working on my hair multiple times both times Ive been here. Either they did not cut my hair evenly(quite obviously) or they didnt do what I asked. Everytime I said I would like more work done I was met with attitude. I was nothing but patient and kind in person.I would recommend The Upper Room for simple, cheap haircuts which apparently this establishment is unable to provide. Cant follow basic instructions and they are certainly not cheap. Youll get a better fade for $16 at TUR than you will at Janes for $35. Just go literally anywhere else where youll find better qualified hairdressers at a more reasonable price.Even worse both times I made appointments and wasnt seen until at least 30 minutes after for morning appointments! If you dont have an appointment expect to wait hours to be seen or not at all because apparently they only have 2 people working at any given time with 8 chairs. From what Ive read and heard management is terrible and they cant hold an employee for more than a couple months. Sinking ship.

Hours as advertised are 10am - 5pm. It is now almost 11am, and they area closed. Roads are perfectly fine, no storm, or anything unusual going on.Two large OPEN signages are brightly lit. But trying to open the door says otherwise. :(

Melissa knows how to cut a mans hair. She listened. My son came too. The experience was awesome!But no one there answers the phone so you cant make an appointment! And if you walk-in they tell you to make an appointment!

Waited an hour for the one stylist working to cut my hair before finally giving up and leaving. There was only one customer in front of me, but things move in slow-motion here. It was 1:30 in the afternoon, so maybe the other employees were all on an extended lunch break. Don’t waste your time here!

This is an awesome place to get a haircut. They have flatscreens at every station. They even use a hot towel and razor to shave your neck. Stop wasting your time going to these overpriced mall haircut places. I highly recommend Britney at this location for a fade and beard trim. Best part is they have tons of different items for your beard care, a lot of places don’t offer this. Thank you for the great experience Lady Janes I WILL be a repeat customer!

Sports Clips is better. Only went because the shop I usually go to was closed due to power being out. But the lady cutting my hair kept complaining about being tired and how she couldnt keep her eyes open... like really.... kinda un professional and her area was dirty. Lots of cut hair laying around... just no. But tired or not she did not screw up my hair.

Called and made an appointment for my head to be straight razor shaved. They said no problem. Showed up and the person I scheduled my appointment with was busy so they gave me to someone els which is fine. But after getting buttoned up and combing through my hair the lady says Im just gonna use my super shaver on you. So after tip (which wasnt warranted) I was out $47 for them to use an electric trimmer to give me a buzz cut. After calling and confirming what I wanted I feel cheated.

The warm towel and neck shave are nice and all but whats the point if the haircut is bad. Id rather just get a decent haircut without all the extra stuff.

Walked in with 30 minutes left before they closed at 8 and was turned down and told they were not seeing anymore customers for the day!
