Probably the best barbershop in Blacksburg. Really cool vibe and ambience. I highly recommend this place.

It’s probably one of my worst haircuts I’ve had. Lady would not listen to what I wanted and cut way to short.

This was the best haircut I have ever had. I’ve always just gone to pretty basic chain places and have recently been trying to scale things up a little bit by going one step up to places like Sport Clips. However I think this will have to be the only place I go from now on. I presented them with a picture of a fade haircut I wanted to try and they said it wouldn’t be a problem at all. Not only did it turn out great but they did the whole thing in about 10 minutes for only $15! Insane value!

I get my haircut from Georgia on the regular and she is one of the best. Professional, great listener, great barber, and she will get you looking on point. I would highly recommend. The rest of the staff their is highly trained and superb as well! Best barbershop in Blacksburg.

I emailed ahead to ask about booking and I was told within 12 hours that they were taking walk-ins. I came in the day after to about five other guys in line, but was able to get in within half an hour of arriving. Priscilla worked with me, and despite coming in with only a few old pictures of the style of haircut I typically get, I left with a spot-on haircut! Absolutely worth the college-town price, service moved along fine, will absolutely be back.

You would think since it was a barbershop they would take their time and try and give you a great cut. That is not the case, took no longer then 10 minutes and was the worst haircut I have ever had! Do not get the middle aged lady, she is so bad. Did not even follow my instructions.

I was expecting a barber experience. Since it’s part of their name. You know what I mean if you’ve been to a barber. A barber takes their time because they take pride in every haircut. The haircut was 10min max. It feels more like a great clips with tool boxes. Unlike great clips my haircut came out pretty good. I think it was because I was very detailed in my explanation.

When the client brings a friend for opinion you don’t ask them to leave the area. There is a reason why that opinion is needed during the haircut. Very unprofessional attitude by Georgia.

Having been a customer since the Brownstone Barber Shop opened, I can give it my highest rating. They provide a quick and high quality haircut for a reasonable price. Even better, it is a friendly place that offers snacks and and staff members who want to learn your name. The shop is also a tribute to capitalism. It was founded by women tired of working in a national chain who were willing to take risks to open their own shop and improve their lives. Its a win for the women, a win for the customers, and a fun place to visit.

Brownstone is hands down the best place to get your haircut in all of Blacksburg. I started going there about a year ago and have had a great experience every time I have gone. Everyone is extremely nice, personable, and accommodating to your needs. Every hairdresser is simply fantastic. I personally went to see Kim there and she is absolutely phenomenal. Works with you to find the exact hairstyle you want, teaches you how to get the same look at home, and what products to buy. I personally looked forward to going and getting my hair cut because I enjoyed the experience there so much.

I havent used a barbers in years, so I was hesitant at first. Upon entering the premises I was greeted by Patti and instantly shown to a chair. She asked what I needed and got straight to work. Her work was prompt and precise and gave me the cut I asked for. She is also a great listener too, if you are the talkative type. The best barber experience I have had since moving to the States from the UK. I will be going back again when I need a trim.

Started to get cut by Patti since I was sick of some of the wait times of other barbers in Blacksburg. Tried Brownstone once and never went back anywhere else - I’m out of the building within 15-20 min of being sat in a chair and always leave happy.I wear an undercut with a low fade that I’m very particular about and as long as you’re vocal about what you want there is no reason you will walk out of here dissatisfied. If you don’t know what you want or like, ask for advice or recommendations. Communication is key when getting your haircut.

Quick and easy, the hair stylists know exactly what to do to make it look good even if you dont. The included hair wash in the standard mens haircut was heavenly. Patti was very nice, polite, and straightforward. Only been in blacksburg for a couple weeks but I know where Im gonna keep going now.

Best haircut Ive gotten since moving to Southwest Virginia ten years ago. The girls are friendly and the place is clean and offers convenient off street parking. And best thing aside from an awesome haircut for us ADDers no appointment necessary. But for the rest of the world you can make an appointment.

My first time to go to this barber shop. Not as friendly nor caring as other barber shops. Seemed to become impatient when asked to cut the hair a little shorter. Overall, the experience was fine.

They make me happy because the hair cut is vey good. The owner, She is very kind and have a lot of experience. I like it and have an idea to visit there again.

If youre a guy looking for a fade dont bother, they spend barely 10 minutes working with your hair and they dont even swap between razors or anything; looks like the least effort of any barber ive ever been to, and definitely not worth cheaping out on. Its still $15 anyways. They unevenly cut the top of my head and i just gave up and accepted it as there was no fixing it. wont be coming back.edit: i said something mean and unreasonable, i was very tired, and theyre right to call me out for it. still, had a terrible time though.

When I went to get a haircut in early December, I was floored by how bad it looked. The lady who was cutting my hair didnt understand my instructions and I had to go to a different haircut place a few weeks later. The fade also didnt look good, with no gradient from the 2-1 and 3-2 sections (you could see where she switched). Didnt spend much time attending to my hair either.

Have had two haircuts here and both times Ive had no complaints. They are quick and efficient but do a fantastic job!

Terrible. They dont know how to do a mid-bald fade or blend up towards the top. Theres still a guideline in my hair because of the terrible fading. Told the lady to fade around the hook and she faded above that making have a high and tight hair cut. They dont even accept credit or debit.
