The best experience ever. I went there walk-in and they accommodated me. It was my graduation day. The staff (Kerri) finished my hair in only one hour even though it is long and thick.I was impressed by her. Hokie Hair also has very reasonable prices. I highly recommend this place for efficient, friendly and quick service. Very respectful.

Great place..they keep it simple. And are absolutely polite no matter how many times you make them change your cut. There is a lady with a unique tattoo on her forearm who cut my hair! Would recommend her services.

I recently came in for a haircut a few weeks ago and received an incredible haircut by Toni!She took the time to listen, had great attention to detail, and made fun conversation!Aside from the great haircut, I was impressed by Toni’s approach to safety due to COVID-19. Prior to my haircut, I saw her sanitizing her work station thoroughly, along with her clippers, scissors, etc. She made me feel safe and protected the entire time. She should be commended for going the extra mile to ensure her clients are safe!Thank you Toni for everything, I will definitely return soon!

Post on behalf of my friend since he’s unable to post a review himself. He is a regular here and he’s always had a decent experience but his most recent one wasn’t pleasant at all. I think the lady who cut his hair is new because we’ve never seen her before during the two years we’ve been coming here. She didn’t listen to what he said he wanted and he ended up with a haircut he absolutely hated. We’re not professionals but we’ve been to plenty of barbers/salons and we have a pretty good idea on what technique is supposed to be used to cut men’s hair. According to my friend, she kept cutting the front when he said he didn’t want that and he said at one point she kind of just took the scissors and started snipping away at the top without using a comb like how every other hair stylist at Hokie Hair has done for him in the past. Fortunately, he had enough punches on his punch card to get this haircut for free. He probably won’t be coming back because this visit was horrible to say the least.

Employees would rather take breaks and lwt appointments first in line after being 30 minutes late over actually servicing waiting customers.

Every time my boyfriend goes here, I have to edge up his hair and sideburns cause they are never straight or even. He gets a fade (2) and leaves some length on top and he leaves with a different haircut every time. Not to mention that he cashed in his free reward hair cut and the stylist was rude to him. We will be trying new places in Blacksburg.

I have been getting my hair cut here for almost 5 years. I dont do it as regularly as I should so I dont have one particular stylist. I usually get someone different every time I go and they are always super friendly and quick to take care of me. Its also very affordable!

I generally take luck of the draw for who cuts my hair. The majority of time I get a good haircut with no issues and they are pretty speedy most of the time. If you need to haircut quick and cheap theyre a good place to go.

Been getting my hair cut here for a long time. The stylists are all very down to earth and easy to talk to. I openly admit that I dont know much about hair but theyve always been great at understanding what Im asking for. Prices are very reasonable and they have a loyalty program where every 10th haircut is free.

I went in for a walk-in to trim my split ends. Got to be honest I was a bit nervous trying out a place downtown instead of my regular hairdresser back home. The hairdresser here (bright red hair) listened to what I wanted and asked questions to make sure I was happy before she started and during my trim. We also just chatted about life and school, and I felt very comfortable there. Overall I am very happy with how I was treated and how my hair looks and feels.

Spent 3 years or more looking for a place that could give me the cut i wanted and finally found it at Hokie Hair... Super friendly staff and i never wait long when i walk in... Love going here and highly reccomend Darien ❤

Ive been going here off and on for more than a year. There is literally no way to tell the quality of the haircut youre going to get before you get there. I have gotten both my best and worst haircuts of my life there, and after my experience this past week, I have to say the haircuts tend towards the worse side. Do not go here unless you dont have anywhere to be for a couple weeks

Great fades. Ask for Darrien. Shes the best one there for any military styled haircut.

The stylists are down to earth and very personable. Their services are great and the prices are fair. I love going in because of the welcoming atmosphere and its so homey.

I take my daughter and wife here and they always do a good job on their haircuts and coloring. I prefer a barber shop (Cutz 2 Go) for my personal haircuts, although Ive seen good cuts here for guys as well.

Worst haircut I ever received in my entire life. Beautician was not apologetic when I told her that the cut but nothing like the picture to which she replied the picture was too small for me to see it properly. I had three pictures front, side, and back of style that were the entire size of my smartphone.

A nice little salon that isnt overpriced, offers a variety of services, and had great hairdressers. Situated in a convenient location downtown.

I used to get my haircut there, because its close to campus. Although people there seems to not be able to cut hair skillfully. But I dont care too much about my hair and just want it to be quick.But the last time I went there, a woman who I havnt seen before. She took care of me. She is literally using the clipper to push my head with too much force. I explicitly told her, IT HURTS. Then she thought its because of the clipper and spray some water on the clipper and started to push my head again! At the same time, she was looking somewhere else and looked distracted. I dont want to be rude, so I sitted there hoping it could end quicker. And thats the last time I went there.

Darien does an AMAZING job. We are getting married, and had considered going to a more expensive hair-cuttery. Thank goodness we didnt waste the money! We got my hair cut and beard trimmed in a fairly particular style for our wedding theme--and she did it FLAWLESSLY.My beard has never looked this good--so glad I went here before my wedding.Cant recommend Hokie Hair and Darien enough!
