They used plastic guards. I’m not sure if they’re real barbers. My hair has looked great for the past two or three weeks but never has it grown out this way on the sides before. It’s crooked and looks like one of those boy band hair styles from the 1990’s... yikes!

At $45 this is not worth the money. On the website it is said that the “gentleman’s choice” haircut includes straight razor trimming and also a scalp massage. Both of which I did not receive. Also the environment was just very odd. One of the hairstylist stopped mid haircut to go whisper outside with the other hairstylist. Not to mention I was there for over an hour and fifteen minutes. Personally I’d recommend that you go to Single Barrel Barbershop in Homewood. For $20 you will get a prompt and excellent haircut.

This is an amazing place to get your haircut or your beard trimmed. Allie is very professional and talented. The Mens Chair has a great environment and enjoyable atmosphere. I definitely recommend getting your next hair cut or beard trim done here.

I have been getting my hair cut by Ali since the summer of 2014. She’s an incredible barber & has never failed me during my many haircuts over the years. Just the thought of someone else cutting my hair makes me worrisome because they’ll never live up to the experience that Ali & the Men’s Chair provides! It’s always worth every penny!

Best barbers in Birmingham and a great little shop! Ive had my hair cut by both Holly and Allison. Both are fantastic. Beer is included during your appointment if youd like one. Very cool little shop with just 2 chairs and a waiting couch. Very easy to book online. Highly recommend.

The ladies working here are so nice and obviously enjoy their jobs. I’m from out of town and although it was a little more expensive than I’m used to paying for a haircut ($35) the atmosphere and friendliness make up the difference. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a good haircut!

Showed up 10 minutes early and sat me down early for my haircut. Natasha was excellent with detail and I have to say its the greatest haircut I have ever gotten. Awesome atmosphere and they offer you a free drink! Definitely coming back.

First time customer, I get there sit down waiting for my appointment (got there a bit early) the place is neat, the ambience is amazing, GREAT music (I couldnt stop singing along) , it smelled amazing! Odd comment but hey youll feel so at ease inside this place.Haircut starts, I dont know but Allisons hands are built of fairy dust or something, she took the time to see what style fit me better, asked about my needs and my usual hair routine, she is incredibly meticulous, hard to find these days, I loved the concentration she kept in making sure my haircut wasnt lesser than perfect.Shes done cutting my hair, it totally felt like one of those but wait, theres more! moments! A scalp massage and a hot towel. I had been treated like this in my life. Let me tell you, youre missing out if you dont go to this place! Completely recommended and definitely coming back! Just went here for the first time and lovvveddd it. I’m pretty picky with my hair and this is top 3 cuts of all time for sure. Maybe #1. If you are picky with your hair I definitely recommends.

So this is a nice place. Its very small, big enough to hold two stylists, two barber chairs, and a sofa with waiting room for one or two people. I love the chance for online booking, and the neck and scalp massages that come with each haircut are the best part! Friendly staff for the most part, but I did go one time and the girl that cut my hair kept answering her cell phone and taking personal calls during the haircut. That seemed a bit unprofessional, but the haircut was still quality.

Allison does a really good job. I told her what I wanted and she ran with it and the haircut looks awesome. I got what I wanted and she gave some good suggestions that made it look better.

Great haircuts, and great service. I stopped in for an emergency cut, and the quality blew me away - now I am a regular. Holly is awesome. One suggestion to the owner - limit the people waiting inside the small space. I had a Dad and his 10 year old playing “toss the soda bottle” while I was trying to get a facial and neck massage - not cool. Nothing the barbers coukd do about it - they just need to establish guidelines for waiting customers.

Kristen was so very pleasant and gave me a great cut. I travel for work and get some whopper hair cuts, but Kristen gave me a hair cut with real layers and style. Would definitely recommend this place.

Overpriced and outdated

Allison gave me the best customer service and had the most attention to detail Ive ever experienced at a salon, barber, hair stylist etc. Great atmosphere and superb quality haircut and beard trim. Thouroughly impressed! Definitely recommend!

Allison was amazing!!! I was only in town to visit my wifes family and couldnt get to my regular barber in time. Allison had amazing attention to detail on my beard and ran with my limited instructions. She will be my go to Barber in Birmingham from now on.
