I dont even know where to begin to tell you how AWESOME this place is! First, Kim is amazing and truly cares about the residents and wants whats best for them. She works late to get her job done and is always there for the residents at Hawthorne. This means everything to me coming from my past experience at an awful apartment complex who only cared about your money. I have the peace of mind knowing the staff at Hawthorne truly cares. Maintenance staff has been there for over 5 years which says a lot about management taking care of their people! I highly recommend this apartment out of any other apartment in the Bham area!!!! 5 stars all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Without a doubt, the best staff and some of the best apartments in Birmingham. I cant say enough about how great management and all staff were when we lived here. From the time when we were first shopping around until when we needed to move from Birmingham, the staff went above and beyond what we expect from apartment personnel. The amenities are solid, the units are great, the location is great, but the staff is honestly what has made all the difference for us.

I love these apartments. They have so many different amenities. The staff go over and beyond to make sure that you are satisfied. I would recommend this property to anyone. Kim is awesome. She make sure that you feel safe and at home. Hoover school system and its a gated community.

I had the best experience today with the office manager Kim. When I say I wish I could give 10 stars to rate my visit today I would !!! She went above and beyond to make sure I had any questions or concerns answered. The neighborhood was quiet and clean, no trash on the ground. I can really tell that the maintenance crew do their job fully!! Kim gave the best tour I have ever had , she gave my daughter and I snacks and refreshments!! It’s the little things that goes a long way 🙏🏽🙏🏽 Overall I would definitely recommend this apartment complex to anyone who is looking for peace and quiet with a real homey feel, beautiful finishes, modern updates, big spacious rooms and wonderful leasing crew!!🙏🏽🙏🏽💯

So far our apartment and experience has been nothing short of exceptional! When they talk about being a community they are not lying! Kim and Joseph are the nicest and most helpful people. I feel so comfortable asking them for any help. They apartments themselves are very nice too. Great large spaces with plenty of room! We have very few minor issues. I am very happy and know I will continue to be!

I moved in to a classic 1-bedroom a few weeks ago, and I am very happy with my experience here so far! Joseph and Kim are so nice and go the extra mile to make it feel like home. The floors were redone and walls repainted prior to my arrival. They also fixed several small things right away per my request. It is now a huge (>1000 sqft) and essentially renovated apartment for a very affordable price. It is a quiet community, and the amenities are fantastic. It is also close to the highway (but not noisy from the highway) to allow for easy commuting. I am really happy I chose Hawthorne at Wisteria to live!

This complex has definitely been one of my favorites! They are such a sweet staff and always willing to help! The space is huge and I feel so comfortable whenever I’m home. I love it!

Finding a Good/Great apartment community is very difficult. Thank goodness My family & I found Hawthorne @ Wisteria!!! You can tell they Truly Care. Because I have a work from home job, the Maintenance Team(Awesome) always makes sure they come on an off day. Even Im shocked by that, Lol!!! I seriously feel safe when I come every night.

The property manager at Hawthorne is amazing. Her customer service is to be commended. She is bubbly, personable and very knowledgeable of the property. She even provided me with books for my classroom library that were donated by a resident. I look forward to living at this property.

This is the most amazing place. I moved 2 hours away from my parents to start a new job. Finding a new place to call home was extremely difficult. Kim is by far the best leasing agent I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. She was so welcoming and made the answer so clear after talking with her, that choosing Hawthorne at Wisteria was the best option for me. It’s not often you find a group of people that not only care about you as a tenant but also as a friend. I can honestly say I wouldn’t want to call my home away from home anywhere but here. These people truly care about their tenants and will help any way they can.

I was trying to find a great place for my Mom because of the great ratings but unfortunately they were full. The manager was very nice and very informative. I especially like the super clean gym they have.

Kim and the team at Hawthorne have been amazing during this unexpected transition due to a fire. They have been in constant communication they have loved my family and myself a little bit harder during this time. They have really made sure that families are okay and needs are met.

Joseph Fields-Weldon was our leasing agent, gave us a tour, and answered all questions with professionalism, joy, and full transperency of this property. I would move there just becuase of him soley..the grounds are very well kept, the amenities were top notch (especially the on site fitness facility...cancel your membership anywhere else), the space in the properties was unmatched, and the price was VERY competitive with those really big properties. We toured a 2 bedroom, 2 bath but was in the market for a 1bedroom 1.5 bath but Joseph provided a very detailed tour of what was different and you could see it. They are building on a new building and it will be very nice. If you are on the hunt for an afforable property with good pricing and excellent space for the money, you need to at least see Hawthorne at Wisteria in Hoover, AL. The staff there want to be there and want to help you stay as comfortable and safe as possibe while you are a resident. You are not just 203B, you are Mr. Smith with the dog that loves smoked chicken chilled who works at Kroger parttime to get out of the house, that has 1 daughter that lives in Memphis and visits him every third Sunday to watch the Cowboys play because of that one movie filmed in Texas at his great-grandfathers ranch that once day in 1945.

The staff is very friendly and the entire complex is taken care of very well. Apartments are kept up to date, amenities are kept clean, and walkways and breezeways are kept clear. My work orders have been taken care of very promptly and havent needed to be addressed since. The space is amazing. My dog loves having the room to run around indoors and to sit outside in the screened in patio to enjoy the fresh air. Ive never run out of hot water, and I can never hear through the walls, either to my roommate or those above and next to me. I love having both a dishwasher and disposal as well as laundry in the unit. The community is in a great location but is still quiet. I love it here!

Wonderful management team, BEST MOVE-IN PROCESS EVER!!! The apartment looked spectacular at move-in, and the very few issues we found were reported and taken care of within two weeks (the reason it was two weeks was because we found a couple of things about a week after as we were settling in). The staff does everything they can to make you feel welcome. Food truck events are always fun, and the pool is beautiful and refreshing. Multiple barbecue stations are on the property, virtually ensuring that you will always have a spot whenever youd like it. The park is perfect for our toddler, and he loves to watch the dogs in the dog park. There is also a car wash station and an ample amount of parking spots. The mail gets delivered to your apartment building directly. The buildings are well-lit at night and the front gates shut for your protection. All in all, an amazing place, and the complimentary Starbucks coffee in the office is a wonderful cherry on top!

Hawthorne at Wisteria is a wonderful, quiet place to live. I have lived in the community 3 years and always feel safe and have awesome neighbors. The staff is always quick to respond, very helpful and friendly!The apartments are very large with great floor plans and lots of storage. The amenities are top notch and well maintained. PLUS great school zone and the location is super convenient to all Birmingham metro area. If you’re moving to the area, you will definitely be happy at Hawthorne at Wisteria!

I’ve been here for about 8 months now. The apartments here are huge. You definitely get the most bang for your buck. It’s a quiet complex and feels really safe. Joseph and Michelle are easy to work with. Joseph especially has always been super patient with whatever questions I’ve had. Maintenance is quick and gets the job done well. I definitely feel at home here.

I have been a resident here since 2016 and I highly recommend the property to everyone. The maintenance team responds promptly and the office staff is always eager to help. It’s like a big familial unit, the apartments are amongst the most spacious that you will find and we have community events often!

Hawthorne is a great place to live. The location is right next to major highways, but tucked back in a neighborhood that offers peace and quiet. The amenities are awesome. I love the two gas grills and the large fitness center.

I have been a resident here for almost two years and I have no complaints whatsoever! Joseph and Michelle are AMAZING when it comes to questions and concerns and maintenance requests are always completed in a timely manner. The neighborhood is very quiet to be conveniently located to groceries, gas stations, restaurants, and one minute from I-65. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I just moved in last weekend as our first ‘adult’ apartment after graduating college. It’s an incredible upgrade from what we had, and the apartment is awesome. Staff is Incredibly kind and helpful, and maintenance responds extremely fast to issues we have. We couldn’t be happier with the complex we chose to move into!

We moved to Hoover in October 2019 to start a church. We opted to rent an apartment for a while until we decided in which area we wanted to buy a house. We were skeptical about apartment living at first, but have been pleasantly surprised since becoming a Wisterian :). The management staff are attentive and friendly. They are always planning events for the residents (well, pre-pandemic anyways). The maintenance staff respond quickly to maintenance requests and they are also kind and courteous. The units are older but well maintained and some have been remodeled. Our unit is a 3 bedroom 2 bath and is a good size for us. In regards to the actual neighborhood...its nice here. Its not loud, you can hear children outside playing, but thats a good thing! No loud music, I dont think Ive ever seen the police called out or any really situation requiring intervention. Its a nice play...Im really glad we landed here for a while.

I recommend Hawthorne at Wisteria to anyone and everyone. Living here is stress free. Joseph and Michelle are easy to talk to about anything and everything. I dont just feel like I tenant here. Every time I see Joseph, Michelle, Max, or Chuck they always say hello and ask how my day is. They all love my dog as if he is their own. We are one of the highest rated in Birmingham because we know what it takes to give great service and provide a beautiful community for our Residents. I would just like to say that the staff here is always welcoming and solve issues that may pop up quickly and quietly. They are amazing with their tenants or should I say family here! I feel comfortable going to the office, calling or even emailing. When I pay my rent I sit in the office and chat with Joseph because he is an amazing person and always so helpful!! I hope wisteria reaches the 5star rating because they deserve it.

Great apartments tucked in a neighborhood conveniently located near both I-65 and 459. 15 minutes maximum to downtown/UAB. Very friendly/helpful staff who maintain excellent facilities. On site pool, gym, and dog park. Great for dog owners.

I absolutely LOVE this apartment complex! It is hidden in a historical neighborhood and the property has beautiful crepe myrtles and other lush landscape! The office staff is super friendly and the maintenance team take care of any issues you have so quickly! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to call home:)

This is beginning to the worst nightmare of my life!!!!! I have never experienced such poor managing until I became a resident of Hawthorne at Wisteria. You think that you can become friends or family like with the management and the staff!!! But not here...you can tell them things thats going with you or the property to make it better, I was even asked to give a good review of the property and Im glad I didnt!!!! Me and my husband were just married on July 22nd, gave a call to Milan to let her know...hey we are leaving can you get maintenance to come in to re-stain our tub, this call was made on July 25, be the way....she ensured me that someone would come by and fix the issue!!! It is August 11th and no one has even been to look at the problem , my tile has come apart and I told her all of that and she stated that she would put the order in!!!!! This is the worst part of it all....we get back home from our honeymoon to relax and my husband goes to the car to get something and our car was gone!!!!Needless to say it was towed because we were parked in handicapped parking....now mind you I have always parked my car there it has been there for months, due to an injury and I was on crutches so I had an legal handicapped tag to place in the window of my car!!! But this night when we get home THERE IS NO WHERE TO PARK!!!! It was about 12 am when we get back home trying to get our 4 year old out of the car and into the house from a 6 hour drive back...WE FORGOT TO PUT THE TAG IN THE CAR!!!! The next day he goes to the car its gone!!!! Now why would they have a contract with a towing company in the first place when its not even enough space for the residents that live here!!!!! Im sure we are not the only ones that has this problem!!!!!! And when I went to the office I was lied too....I was told that they didnt have a contract and they just randomly ride the property...Well first how can they ride the property when you have to have a code to get in the gate to even enter the premises? so that was a LIE!!! They were called out.. I was told that since I didnt have it visible I was on my own!!! I was told that the place was 4.4 miles from where we lived... turned out to be 16.2 miles. That was a lie. When we get there we had to pay $250 to get our car back!!!! This is the worst place to live.....I thought it was a great company, when they first bought the apartments out, but they are all about taking your rent up every year!!!! They don want to fix anything and when you do renew your lease they dont offer to clean your carpet, update your apartment to any level, but yet still you have to update you rent!!!!!! The management here is awful and I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone!!!! Im all for giving anyone a chance to fix the problem....but when you just dont care to acknowledge the issue(s) thats when it becomes a problem!!!!!! Im currently trying to seek legal help....My husband also falls down the steps, due to them trying to get the steps painted and the paint that was used was very slippery, I also talked to Milan about that and she stated that someone would give him a call and NO ONE HAS CALLED HIM YET!!!! THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!! WE NEED MORE PEOPLE TO POST THERE ISSUES, IT WILL SOON GET TO WHO NEEDS TO SEE IT!!!

Deceiving and deceptive talks the talk but its only talk. Full of false promises. Said they would do routine repairs to apt after lease renewed. Walked tru apt wrote long list. Wrote on walls to indicate need repairs and never returned. Months have pass no reply. Dont be fooled by smiling faces there very fake.

My fiancé and I have been searching for apartments for a while now. A little context: I am very frugal and always like to make sure I look meticulously into ALL options before making a decision. That being said, we viewed these apartments and were wowed. The space of these units is something you WILL NOT FIND anywhere else. The staff is AMAZING and very HELPFUL. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The amenities are well thought out. Security here is HIGH. It is strictly gated from 6pm-6am. The entire campus has LED flood lights which are spaced appropriately to ensure all areas are covered well. The Pool deck is clean and well decorated. There are several outdoor grilling areas that are aesthetically pleasing and ample seating so you would actually feel compelled to use them. They provide gas for the gas grills and wood for the fire pits. The gym, tho small, is fully equipped for any application. I would like to bring attention to the Jacobs Ladder cardio equipment that you’ll find here. This particular piece of equipment is rare to find and one of the best full body workouts you will ever get. The units, tho a little older, used to be condos, so they are very spacious and well thought out. The living room is HUGE and the screened in patios are also quite spacious. The club house, tho small, is very welcoming and well stocked with coffee, water, etc. and lastly, the location is IDEAL. It’s tucked away in a residential area and covered in trees. If you did not know it was there, you’d drive right past every time. I hope this has been a helpful review to all who run across it! -JM

This is one of the worst apartments in the ENTIRE Birmingham Metro area. they used to be good but over the years they have deteriorated due to neglect by successive management companies... Recently they changed the name and painted the outside to deceive new renters ...while the inside is like shanties... Mold everywhere, they never repaint inside... If you have a water leak, you are on your own, they tell you to call your own plumber ..and if you request a repaint with your lease renewal...they tell you to pay your own painter.... So outlandish, it is unheard of.In the meantime, the rents keep going higher.There is a working theory though of how they are operating.... It seems if you are a minority... Black, Hispanic, or an immigrant from anywhere.... You get no maintenance... So that you get pissed off and move... It is in keeping with the sentiment and policy in Hoover and Vestavia City administrations to kick out undesirables from their school systems... Remember the attempted ban of the bus systems anyone.What is happening here is subtle discrimination.. And the concerned Federal Agencies need to take note.

This place has great spacious apartments, but that is about it! The up keep is slapping some paint over old dirty walls and putting down some vinyl wood floors. In our apartment the ceiling was about to cave in, our door in the hallway the panels fell off the door. We had 3 floods in our apartment from the apartment above us left the water running and flood our entire apartment. Our walls were welted with holes and cracks the base boards in the hallway were falling off from all the water damage, we had BLACK MOLD in our ceiling, they tried to remove just that part of the ceiling, but guess what it came back because the entire floor in infested with black mold and HAZMAT needs to be aware of the situation and I will be contacting them as well. The community cats ripped down our screen on the porch and used our outside couch as a liter box,and they wonder why we didnt want to move it out when we moved, who would want to? Our popcorn ceiling was always falling off, our AC unit was freezing up and we couldnt have air condition. They want to charge us for spots on the carpet in which we had mildew in our carpets from all the floods. We had water stains all over the wall from the flood. All the water damage tore up the hallway bedroom door because they are basically made out of cardboard. You cant use a hair dryer in the master and a straightener in hall bath it will blow a fuse. The hot water will run out in about 10 mins after getting in the shower. The foundation of the apartment is terrible and there is always a problem whether the power is out, the water pipe busted and we were out of water for 2 days. It was a something constantly that needed to be fixed or done, and it was a half a** job done. I wouldnt recommend this apartment to anyone, highly over priced for the quality you receive. RUN!!

I have lived here a year and it is a great! The new company that has taken over has greatly improved so much (painting the buildings, outdoor kitchen, new gym, the grounds are beautiful). I wanted to share a recent experience so you can see how a problem was handled so you have get a clear picture of the staff and maintenance. Over the holiday weekend of 4th of July, my air conditioner went out on Sunday night. I called the emergency line and maintenance called me back within 30 mins. I was told that yes, there was a problem and they couldnt repair it that night but would be there in the morning to see what they could do. So the next morning (on a holiday!) maintenance came and did a major repair on my air conditioner until and went above and beyond in taking care of me and my family. That is is one of the many reason why I love living here. It is close to everything, the complex is hidden, the staff is so kind and the monthly resident get togethers has made it possible to meet my neighbors.Add to that the apartments are HUGE! They know us by name and are always kind. I dont know how long I will be in an apartment but I no one else could compare!!

I lived in these apartments and neighbors above me would smoke special things and it would come through the air vents. The air conditioner would freeze up every other day. Management was crappy. The manager found reasons to cause drama between the kids. There was mild in the walls and bugs galore. The doors even though you lock them were not guaranteed locked. The lighting was aweful. RUN as fast as you can away from this place its getto.... I would not recommend my worst enemy to live there.

The front office is a complete mess

RUN!For the love, whatever you do - DO NOT be suckered into leasing here!Its overrun by bugs of all kinds, no matter how clean you are. The apartments are literally falling apart. Our ceiling is caving in. Our bathroom floors are caving in. The wall in both the bedroom and the living are falling away from the rest of the unit. The bathroom vanities are crumbling. DO NOT be fooled by the model apartment they will show you before you lease. The cabinets on the kitchen walls are falling off. Exposed wiring under the sink. No lighting anywhere, had to buy a ton of lamps. Ghetto parties til all hours of the night. The pool is closed every few days because of the dirty people who live here. Repeated work requests to fix the things in our unit that are considered dangerous have been completely ignored. Weve done the best we could just to stick our lease out, but - we are moving to an extended stay hotel. Its the same cost. This place should probably be condemned, and Im not remotely exaggerating.Maintenance flooded our kitchen, and then told us that the next door apartment left their tub water running all day, and that they do that all the time (and thats why our kitchen floor is so soft and sinking in.) You will split water costs with other occupied units. Expect outrageous electric bills. Also expect feral screaming cats at all hours of the night. And expect the neighborhood children to be running around, all ages, even those in diapers - to be 100% completely unsupervised. Expect to have to replace tires, there is glass and construction materials everywhere. Weve had 3 flat tires in 4 months due to running over screws/nails in the parking lot.Weve NEVER - in our ten years of renting and moving - NEVER lived in a bigger dump, with such low quality of management, and such awful people.When asked by the office staff why we werent staying (though we ARE still paying our rent) - I gave my reasons, and they acted like they had never seen a work request from us, and like the condition of this property was our fault - for not letting them know. DOZENS. Literally, dozens of times have I stopped into the office to ask for work to be done on our unit. It was pointless. The work men would come up to the unit, and say, Oh, management wont pay for your floor to be fixed (or insert thing that is in dire need of repair here) - and there is also, quite literally a hole in our floor. Someone laid a piece of tile over it to try to hide it. After our first 3 months living here we stopped asking for work to be done. There was no point.Save your money, and your breath. Rent elsewhere. Youve been well warned.

Theres no lighting inside any of the buildings. We also had to request three times that our A/C get fixed before someone actually fixed it. Plenty of ambient noises from the constant leaf-blowing and construction as well.

Too pricey for the condition the buildings are in. Theyve done a lot of construction for the last couple of months, but havent really gotten anything done.
