Im a 5+ year resident. In this time frame I have had only positive experience with the management and property/amenities. The management team/concierge/engineering/maintenance teams are second to none. Always courteous, attentive, and with a sense of urgency to resolution in order to make the residence feel a sense of service, home and community. On the rare occasion there may be a resident or neighbor issue - it is handled quickly, with respect, and discretion. A highly professional team end to end that keeps me and my family from leaving.

I went to tour the apartment today. Firstly itโ€™s a self guided tour. I can understand them doing this if the apartment is easy to navigate which this building is totally not. When I went back and told them that I couldnโ€™t find the apartment, they didnโ€™t even have the basic courtesy to show me around which is their job. I can only imagine what it would be like to live here. NOT GOOD.

I stayed here only for 3 months with my wife and toddler as part of a work relocation package and overall it was a good experience. There were some initial hiccups probably due to our unusual lease and move-in process, but the front desk staff (especially Arnold!) helped us resolve issues as they arose.Pros: Our unit was very comfortable and spacious with beautiful views. The indoor pool and gym were awesome (especially for what you expect at an apartment complex) and the parking garage even had electric charging stations which we found super convenient. There was also an Amazon locker on site and Parcel Pending locker kiosks in the garage. The units had Yale combination locks, so we didnโ€™t need a physical key to enter our apartment. Every floor had a trash chute and the elevators were fast and always worked. The 405 freeway, Whole Foods, Trader Joeโ€™s, Target, REI and several other large stores were a 10-15 minute walk away. Downtown Bellevue was a 10-minute drive away.Cons: The complex was quite large and confusing to navigate at first since itโ€™s composed of 3 separate high-rises connected through the underground parking garage. It was also slightly inconvenient to have to go all the way down to the garage to dispose of recycling. Other than that, there isnโ€™t much else to complain about at this place. Itโ€™s not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

First of all, their billing system was very confusing and they charged me several times for renter insurance, utility bills when I moved out. I contacted the customer service and they said there was a mistake in the system, but they didnt help me erase the ratio. This fee is still in my balance due and appears again in the final statement and they sent again the notice to let me pay for that.Secondly, they charged a lot when moving out. They charged me more than 700$!!!!! for blind replacement๏ผŒeven though I did not dirty or break it.

I really liked living at the 989 building and even thought about coming back next year,I even at some point left a 5 start review on their Yelp page. (I had to move from Bellevue to Kirkland at the end of my lease)I rented a 2BD apartment for about $2600 in the 989Building.My lease is ending June 6 and they want to charge me a pro rated rent for almost $1500 for only 6 days. What a scam! they completely forgot people lost their jobs during this pandemic! They are saying that this charge is a result of me not telling them that I am leaving at least 20 days in advance.I didnt know its nesasry,I mean my ended, so if you guy dont hear from why dont you just assume I am living? Why dont you guys call and ask me?No one from the office ever gave us a call to ask us for our future plan.I tried to call the office at least 3 times to kindly let them know we are living and no one ever picked up the phone.I hold a credit score of 800+ and never everDefault on a payment. But if they will charge me $1500 for 6 days of staying I will not pay it and I will review this building with as many platforms as possible.

We decided to rent at the Elements for various reasons. However, we were a little concerned initially by reading some of the negative comments here. We generally are not easy to please and have rented at a newer high rise in downtown Bellevue in the past, so our expectations are high.I wanted to share our experience that the whole move-in process was very smooth and pleasant. The team at the Elements front desk are courteous, patient, attentive, and accommodating. Every detailed requests that we raised was taken care of in a timely manner, and we are now a family of happy renters. We are very happy about our decision.Again, everyone at the front desk team that I talked to - Caroline, Alyssa, Addison, Harold and others - really went out of their way to make us happy, but I wanted to point out that Brian, the Maintenance Manager, personally took care of things for us, even the little things -- he knows what makes a tenant happy. He is awesome! After moving in, I have also talked to some other tenants and asked how they like their homes, and it seems like everyone is just as happy. We are enjoying living here where we are close to everything, parking is plenty, and the views are so beautiful.

When I asked for the unit, they told me that its carpet and if I want wood flooring I have to pay more on the rent.... Its a very dishonest community. After I told them theyre not providing the customers with transparent information, they chose to not respond. Be careful if you want to go with them

Overflow happened three times in our unit in the past six weeks. Sewage is in our dishes and sink.I have contacted the property manger several times. There are a lot of stores in the complex.Things that bugged me1. the apartment was not cleaned thoroughly because it had a weird smell thats not from detergent and the bath tum had stains.2. upon move out, they charged me $225 express move out fee and another $200 + for painting even though we only physically lived there for 2 months. They wouldnt send me the breakdown of the cost.3. Very limited storage in the bathroom and bedroom4. The vent of the dryer is super dusty and hard to clean. Even though I clear the accessible part of the vent every single time, I still have to wear a mask when opening the dryer after use. Maintenance said there was nothing wrong with it so not sure why. Maybe its because that the quality of the appliances are poor.

All their camera as fake and just for the show. The leasing agent will just sell you the apartment for money and will never bother to address your concerns. They dont stand by their words either. Get everything settled up before moving if you plan to move in here. Just a money duping company.

I had to find a place to live really quickly after my last lease ended, and Elements was the 3rd or 4th place I looked at in Bellevue. Right as I walked in the main atrium I was amazed, and that continued as I was greeted in the leasing office by the super friendly and helpful staff. About halfway through my self-guided tour, I knew this was for sure where I wanted to live. Its right on the edge of the city with easy access to all of downtown within walking distance; the mall is only 3 blocks away, grocery stores are about the same, there are restaurants below each building as well as a plethora of workout/yoga facilities on top of the ones available to me as a resident free of charge.Pros:-Apartment management and staff are by far the best I have ever worked with-Large living spaces/room layouts compared to other newer buildings-Very affordable pricing compared to other locations with smaller rooms/feel to it-Washer/dryer in unit-AIR CONDITIONING in unit-Trash chutes-3 separate buildings each with own community areas, rooftop areas, 2 movie theaters, etc-2 gyms, outside rooftop turf area, yoga studio, tanning bed, & lap pool-Restaurants/commercial spaces on first & second floors of buildings (including a dentist and optometrist)-Building security is great, even though there are commercial spaces that anyone can go to I still feel like this is my space and communityCons:- No hot tub- I do wish the pool tables were regulation size- A lot of the apartments feature floor to ceiling windows, which are great, but depending on where you are facing (i.e. East) you may need to get blackout window shadesOverall this is a great place and I have already planned on renewing my lease!

Very impersonal tour that does not help at all in getting an idea of where you want to live. Upon arriving, after making an appointment, they hand you a slip of paper asking you to rewrite all the information you already gave in order to schedule the tour. They then hand you a key and tell you to go see the apartments for yourself. So youโ€™re just looking at these empty apartments and are expected to save all your questions for the end of the โ€œtourโ€ where the leasing agent then comes out of their office and asks โ€œany questions?โ€; well yes thank you for finally asking and nice meeting you too. The leasing agent then proceeds to be completely unhelpful, offering you little to no information but instead opts for handing you a flyer. I then was asked โ€œdid you see our amenities?โ€; well no, I didnโ€™t because I donโ€™t know where they are located, how to get to them or what they are. So they gave me the key again and told me to look for myself. Again, very impersonal and not helpful at all.As for the layouts, very odd layouts. They added a sliding door to 1/3 of the living room and they call it a โ€œdenโ€. Meanwhile, the floor in the bathroom is straight out of a Sears catalog from the โ€˜70s. While the carpet from the living extends to about 1 foot from the sink, fridge and stove. If Elements doesnโ€™t care about the people trying to sign a lease with them, I donโ€™t want to find out how theyโ€™d treat their tenants.

TL;DRI have not lived in Elements, but I toured their facilities and quickly made the decision to not sign a lease. Judging by my tour, the buildings are poorly built and designed with the goal of overcharging for cheap quality rather than being actual high quality. I am sure you could have a decent experience living here, but I chose to look elsewhere.Navigating the building to find the leasing office and rooms was difficult with the lack of directions, although I did see another touring group get directions from a different employee than the one who had been helping me. When I arrived, I asked about a specific room, which they said was unavailable, and instead sent me to four different unfurnished tour rooms with nothing more than a ground floor map and room numbers. None of these rooms were even similar to the layout I had asked about (which was posted as available on their website). The quality of the construction felt very low and it was clear that cabinets/closets were about as cheap as the college student housing that I previously lived in. Some appliances were nice, but 4/5 rooms had cheap ones that made a lot of noise. The tour rooms feel a lot smaller than the listed floor plans, but they are unfurnished so it is very difficult to judge the size.Room 1: On the freeway side of the building there is a lot of noise, even during the reduced traffic at 2:00pm during COVID lockdown. The refrigerator and AC were also much louder than usual.Room 2: Very loud AC system and the window opened in a way that made me feel like I could trip and fall eight stories onto the pavement.Room 3: I took the stairs and learned that someone in this non-smoking complex (the staff told me that all rooms were non-smoking) had been using the staircase for smoke breaks. The entire hallway smelled like smoke, and there was extra air freshener in the room to unsuccessfully cover the odor. The carpet in the bed was cut about four inches too wide, so it was just rolled up the edge of the wall with large bubbles where the carpet could not be pushed down flush with the ground.Room 4: No glaring issues, but as mentioned above the HVAC system in the entire building creates a dull noise that is much louder than I have experiences in other housing.Penthouse Apartment: I was told that I was allowed to explore the facilities, so I visited the top floor and saw that a penthouse apartment was available for tours and took a peek inside. For a large apartment (I would guess that it was $2,800+ from the other listings at Elements), there seemed to be a bump up in quality, but only up to the point that I would have thought the other apartments should have been (not penthouse quality). The balcony was very shallow (about three feet deep), which seemed accurate from the floor plans posted online.Overall, I was not impressed, and was astounded by how much noise there was in not only the apartments but also the lobby. I never heard other residents thumping around, but the appliances and HVAC were enough to tell me that you wont get any quiet moments at Elements. Cheap construction and poor quality control were clear issues, and judging by other reviews about excessive fees, I got a vibe very similar to exploitative student housing that I have experienced in the past. If you can afford Elements excessive prices, you can afford housing that youll actually enjoy.

I liked this apartment in the beginning since its price beats other properties. However, the way management team treats my inquires and their attitude disappoint me. I would like to give it a zero star.1. The management team ignores your inquiry about rent increase in the lease renew. I lived here for 2 years. They increase the lease by 7% every year, even during this COVID-19 time. However, they offer 6-weeks free for new lease. I sent inquiry about this to see if they can keep the rent unchanged. However, after first reply saying they will consider it, they just pretend to be not seeing my emails, and no reply after that at all. After I sent them move out notice, they started to contact me, and offer me a new lease renew, but with only 7 month lease available. I was so annoyed and have already decided to move out. One week before move out, they contacted me many times to offer me one month rent free if I can cancel move out notice. This management team is just cunning businessman, and wants to squeeze every penny out of your pocket by all means. I am enough of this bargain process.2. The move out process includes hidden charges. The management team refuses to provide any details and pretends to be not seeing my email. They simply dont reply to your inquiry. When I moved out, I have already paid $225 express move out fee for apartment cleaning. However, I was charged $150 for paint, with no further information. And they refused to reply to may emails. From the move-out form they sent to me, the paint of entire one-bedroom is $200. I have no idea why my unit needs a $150 paint work, since the paint of living room, bedroom and bathroom are all well protected during my stay. Right, this is something I will never figure out since they just sent you the bill and dont reply to any of your inquiries. For the quality of the apartment, be ready for paper-thin walls and doors, dirty blinds. You can hear your neighbor talking, opening window and so on. So can they. Gym never has towels. This is why their price is low. The nearby Bravern has better quality apartment with better appliance and finishing, and the price is still comparable.I regret that I stayed here for two years, which made me have to move during COVID-19 time.

Lived here for two years and cant say that I was ever disappointed in the staff. I lived one year in the 909 building and one year in the 958 building. Enjoyed the 909 building more. If youre looking for a community where the neighbors actually speak to you, this is not the place. Out of two years I can count on one the hand the number of times a conversation was struck in the elevator with another resident. A bit snooty. The concierge staff do an amazing job, always nice, even when dealing with some of the more high maintenance tenants. Maintenance was always quick to resolve any issue reported. You cant find a better location in the downtown Bellevue area. The Amazon locker being IN the building was a awesome! My only complaint is that with each lease renewal, the price of whatever unit I was in was being increased drastically. You could log into their website and find the same floor plan for $100-$200 less than they were wanting for you to renew, this is the only reason Im rating the place 4 stars instead of 5.

First of all, I do like the building itself, very beautiful and luxury decorated building, convenient location. However, the management of Elements Apt ruined all of these wonderful features. Very disappointed. I have live here for over one year, if I was able to move out earlier with less hassles and fees, I would already done so long time ago. The move-in was of course very welcoming and not too many issues, and the move-in person was very nice herself in general during the time I lived here. Nevin at frontdesk is also very helpful all the time as well. The hidden fees here are something I dont even have to mention, such as Parcel pending fee.But the manager Joni Mitchell here, she was not accessible all the time and would dodge as many problems as she could. I tried to reach her to solve problem before, but she never got back to me, now her excuse that she would not go back to time to solve old leftover issues. As for my new issues, she made me feel discriminated and said I had difficulty understanding things and numbers, and she would not want to have any conversation with me. All she care was money, which make me thinking how much worse could the management here be. Her attitude was, I dont care about your problem or what you are saying. I got money then there wouldnt be any problem. If no money, then you will be in trouble.I happened to saw some lady at frontdesk arguing with other residents and shouting at them, it was very scary. And now this all happened to me.Im moving out very soon, I wouldnt even expect to get my deposit back, and I couldnt imagine how much more hassle I would have to deal with until I completely finish my move-out.At least, treat your resident as human being, not money making machine. I will not live here with this kind of management, and people who want to live here better having second thought.

As a life-long renter I thought Id seen it all, but Elements was unquestionably the worst rental experience Ive had. Ironically, it was also the most expensive. Sometimes, you dont get what you pay for.Dont be fooled by the fancy lobby. This is not even close to a luxury apartment complex. Ive never witnessed more stingy property management in my life. In the units you will find 15+ year-old appliances, black mold growing along the window panes, water-damaged cabinetry, nasty brown, crumbling grout in the bathroom. This is also not a safe place to live. Elements is way too cheap to hire night-time security or install working cameras, so you can expect your storage unit to be frequently broken into, your cars to be prowled, and your bikes stolen. In the short time I lived there, there was even a drive-by shooting with bullets shattering the windows of some apartments. Surely, the other tenants were notified immediately that a shooting occurred at the building right? Nope! We found out about it in the news. Tenants have been harassed by other tenants and management ignores it. When you report any sort of safety issue or theft, management doesnt even pretend to care. After two years of tenancy at Elements, $60,000+ in on-time rent payments, taking great care of my unit and paying to have my unit professionally cleaned when I moved out, management (UDR) confiscated my security deposit and is charging me an additional fee on top of that because they discovered a few tiny marks on the walls (which they claim they always repaint between tenants regardless) from normal wear. Its extortion, but they know folks dont have time challenge it in court, so they get away with it. When I called to inquire about what I was being charged for, UDR billing yelled at me and hung up on me. Keep in mind, this was my first time calling them, and I was hung up on within 2 minutes. I was polite and calm. I know how unbelievable that may sound, because I can hardly believe it myself. UDR will charge you whatever they feel like and tell you to pay up or they will send it to collections and destroy your credit. When I declined to renew my lease they immediately relisted and leased my unit for hundreds less than the renewal offer they gave me. Between my first and second year, they offered me a 10% increase in rent. They dont value loyalty, they just want to try to exploit the fact that moving sucks and try to get as much money out of you as they possibly can until they price you out. Oh, and then theres the occasional billing errors which somehow always result in overcharging, never undercharging. I wonder why.Elements is run by absolute criminals. Dont listen to the fake 5-star reviews. Oh, did I mention they also try to bribe tenants to leave those? It brings me no pleasure to write a review like this. I gave UDR so many chances to make things right, but in the end, they are crooks. They are a nightmare. And so this is the review I wish I had read before I signed the lease. Learn from my mistake and stay far away from Elements and frankly, any other property under management by UDR.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. When it was time for me to move out I notified them that I was planning on moving and did not intend to renew my lease. They said I had to give them a 20 day notice by signing some paperwork. But every time I went to their front office they made it incredibly difficult to get the paper work. I had to go there 3 times on different days and finally have to complain enough to get the paper work to sign. They were not very helpful when it came to moving out. I also heard that Elements is notorious for keeping your security deposit. So, before I moved out I cleaned my apartment completely. Clean fridge, clean bathroom, clean kitchen.. the place looked brand new after I moved out. A month later.. they send me a bill saying they are keeping the entire security deposit and charging me more money!!! WOW this place is the pits.. they only care about how much they squeeze out of their residents. There were other annoying issues when I moved in too. Like the pool said it was heated but it never was. I think they fixed this though a few months before I moved out.The garage door was broken for like 2 weeks.. so, cars would just line up at the garage door and no one could get in or out. It took them forever to fix it.. that was incredibly annoying. The main lobby coffee machine is consistently broken. There are only a few carts for groceries for the entire building.. so finding a cart is impossible.

This place is a scam and completely dishonest. They will lie to you about the terms of their lease, who is the manager, and their business practices. They upsold me on an apartment I canโ€™t afford by telling me how pretty I was and how lucky they were to have me, etc. , and โ€œapprovedโ€ me right away ON THE SPOT as soon as I applied, without verifying anything, no background check, no proof of income, no references, no nothing, and told me slyly that prices would go up that night so good thing I signed right away. When I realized right away what I had done they told me it would cost $8000 total to get out of the lease, even though I never moved in and later found out I do not even qualify legally based on income!! When I met with a manager Lindsay in person she pretended to be very understanding and promised not to charge me any buyout fee, that she would let me go if I โ€œtake this as a lessonโ€, so I gave her back the keys and agreed to put in my notice. She then emailed me later that same day and said they โ€œhave toโ€ charge the fee.Now I have no keys to my โ€œhomeโ€ and have given notice under terms they lied about to my face and later changed. Their process of approving tenants is clearly illegal as they donโ€™t verify anything. And they are now trying to get as much money out of me as possible. Itโ€™s like a used car dealership where they seduce you, rip you off and donโ€™t let you return the car when you find out itโ€™s broken. You are not a person to them, just money to steal.Ps when I spent an hour checking out the apartment the day I was supposed to move in, I found out the sink leaks. Thatโ€™s when I realized I got scammed. Donโ€™t let this happen to you!

Wow, we are researching elements apartment and the comments posted here were a great match with the experience we had there....Horrible horrible horrible management from online to onsite. I really wonder whether they also discriminate the renters from their race, age, etc.And the funny thing is that the management will always pop up to address the reviews to sounds like they care. As a company, you fix the problem not address the reviews.Good luck!

Charged an exorbitant 1600$ as damage charges over the 250$ cleaning charges when moving out.Lived here for two years.Pros: Has a good gym with barbells, a swimming pool. Maintenance was prompt. Lots of shops in ground floor.Cons: AC makes the room either too hot or too cold. Takes long time to get out of the 5 floor underground parking. Elevators are always breaking down. Every year on July 4th Fob would stop working. The worst part is they fleeced us when we vacated by charging us 1600$ for mold damage. They did not say anything at the pre-move survey. This seems to be a common tactic among UDR properties.

First of all, I want to say this one star is not given with any anger which I admit I did have, before. But now its a purely objective rate based on the managements attitude and service. I want to warn people who are probably taking the tours and looking for place to rent, that based on my experience, if everything goes well and nothing abnormal happens then its probably fine, but as soon as something like an accident or an unexpected situation happens, the management teams reaction and solution will for sure disappoint you.To be more clearly, remember to check anything you could think of about an unit before moving in, including if it has a disposal, because not all of the units are the same in these buildings, AND they wont tell you before you move in if you dont ask, AND they wont compensate you in any way after you move in for being not informational enough (except to ask you move again to another unit which I believe most people wouldnt want to spend that extra time and energy on), AND yes, as one of the old reviews said, you are ultimately paying for their mistakes. Also, just to give people an idea how they deal with abnormal things (maybe some people would find it fine but not me for sure), $150 credit is the best they can do to compensate an accident like a bulb explosion (not the normal bulb, but the big one heats in the bathroom, when that exploded, it was terrible...). More importantly, this accident makes me doubt the quality of everything in this building.Just want to give some useful and real information about how it actually is living here to people who are trying to make decisions. If these are something you care or would bother you, definitely think twice.

We are deeply grateful to all of the team of The Elements building in Bellevue for their exceptional service to us while renting one of their apartments. From Management, concierge, leasing and maintenance they all worked together to make this a wonderful stay. The apartments are spacious, the facilities are excellent, the neighbors are friendly, the building is perfectly set for the freeway and center of Bellevue you canโ€™t and wonโ€™t get any better than this. Thank you.

Update : Ive tried to talk to UDR and Elementss manager, I strongly feel they are discriminate. If you are reading this review, be careful of choosing Elements. If I can give a negative start, Ill definitely do that, not because of the building/apartment itself, but because of the bad management stuff.First of all, I have to say, the rent of Elements apartments are pretty high.Regarding to management team, the main impression is, they always push the responsibility away and make yourself pay for their fault. Like, if your packages delivery info showing theyre delivered and signed, you didnt find them, management team always say, they dont know with a you go away face. Also, when I signed up, they didnt provided me any copy of lease or went through rules need to be paid attention on. They never reminded me/ informed me anything about moving out, when my lease came to the end, I decided to move out, and asked them about the process and signed a paperwork. All of a sudden, someone from the leasing office jumped out, saying since I didnt inform leasing office 20 days ahead of time, I need to pay an extra months rent. I strongly feel I was trapped. Their attitude shows they dont care about you, or at least they dont care about me. They only care about money, and trying all methods to make you pay more. Sucks!

Great location, awesome views, nice and big bathrooms, good gym.My first reaction was that it was very noisy because of the i90 highway, however I got used to it pretty quick and enjoyed the view.*Appliances are pretty regular except that A/C is extremely noisy! Try to turn it on during your tour. If you are a light sleeper it WILL wake you up every night! I can sleep through anything and it does wake me up sometimes.*No free parking. Non-designated parking is $70-100. Depending on if you will get a deal. Residents can park only on P3, P4, P5. If you like to come home late at nigh, be ready to drive to P5 to find a parking spot.*Sewerage/trash/water are extremely expensive.~$110. Dont forget to add electricity.*Seward sometimes smells in the hallway.*Cinema and gym equipment was broken for weeks and months and nobody fixed it.*After my first year lease ended lease price went up $250.*any extra magnetic key for will cost you extra ($30 if I remember it right).*during signing of the lease, pay attention to the extra charges at the move out date (carpet cleaning $60 etc)

I have lived in this place for 9 months now and this place is the best complex hands down.... I have met and seen a few of our Seattle Seahawks players stop by this place because of the nice restaurants, bar, fitness centers and more. I have lived in most of the places downtown Bellevue and I can say this place is legit and the staff are friendly , free self serve coffee bars, game rooms, pool and 2 gyms and nice hang out balcony area. And did i forget to mention free motorcycle parking.... This place is worth a look.... Big thanks to Nevin Uysal

The worst housing experience, wondering why all the bad things happen to me living here. Packages delivered to you stuck somewhere between them and facility so that you can never find it, youll get a lot of parking tickets even though youre a resident there, cannot get a response to your email asking why you got the ticket, sometimes youre locked out of your room at midnight as the whole key system breaks down, you should request multiple times to get something fixed as they ignore or lie to you that they fixed it. Tons of ridiculous things happens, not hearing back from them apologize or explanation.

Constant noise, extremely high prices and ridiculous service. The walls are made of paper here, you can actually hear your neighbors breath... And, God forbid, if you get a neighbor like I did... For the last 9 months Ive been walking around with red eyes, because my neighbors think theyre the only people on Earth. And what did the management do after my numerous complaints? NOTHING! My lovely neighbors were still waking me up at 4 am and I had a sore throat because of yelling at them all the time.In addition to that theres almost always construction going on, and extremely loud garbage removal at 2 am.The prices are very high, especially the utility prices. You basically pay for whatever the others use (seems like they split the overall price between everyone). To have a clear consience I have to admint that the complex has a nice location, the building is nice and you feel luxurious. But believe me, if you dont want to spend $50 a month on earplugs, you better pass this place by.

Building 989 is a zero star. Problems:1) Theres a gym on the ground floor, and another gym on the third floor. People dropping heavy weights every few seconds around the same time every day! I live on 18th floor, and every day around 5, 6pm, the floor in my apartment shakes and a loud thud every minutes or so!2) Theres a blood center across the street. The AC on top of that building runs all the time, all through the night. U are not gonna get a quiet night of sleep in your apartment.3) Good luck navigating the parking lot, especially during the peak hours. the parking lot is so narrow. The mirrors at the turns are not situated correctly. u always feel like u r about to hit another incoming vehicle.as if those are not enough, the monthly utility charges are high, about 150 a month for my 600 sq one br apt... and my apartment is carpeted wall to wall...

TLDR; DO NOT move here! Probably the worst housing decision of my life.I dont usually write reviews, let alone anything not work related longer than a paragraph, but in my current situation where I feel like Im paying for something that definitely is not worth its price. I sincerely want to get this out: If anyone is considering moving into 989 STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Ive been here for about 3 months and a lot of the one star reviews here and on Google as are right on in terms of the cons of this awfully managed place. The leasing agent Nevin was excellent us at move in (most of the leasing agents are great), but everything else about Elements has just been downhill from there. I was at a UDR property before I moved here and had a good experience so I wanted to continue my relationship with them when I moved to Bellevue. But If I had the $5k needed to break my lease with 989 Elements lying around right now, id definitely jump ship and go to a place like Alley 111 or one of the newer apartments around here. Moving into 989 was definitely one of the worst housing decisions Ive made in my life.Trust me, stay away from 989 elements, you will be disappointed and regret your decision after about 1 to 3 months here. I feel like 909 and 958 might be a better deal, but for their price, Id still recommend other properties around here which are much better managed, newer, and most likely much cheaper in the long run. Ive seen properties managed and maintained by younger less experienced people that are doing a million times better than here at 989.

I never write reviews but after my experience at The Elements I figured it deserved one. First of all, Ive never been a big fan of the city & Bellevue overall because of the uptight & stuffy attitudes. Im relocating for work so I needed to at least check out a few places in the area. When I got to Elements I was greeted with a very busy yet very welcoming reception desk. There were 3 other people in line waiting to be helped, 2 delivery drivers waiting and one of the front desk ladies was on the phone signing for something. Even with all that going on, the woman made eye contact with me & acknowledged my presence within seconds. I did not have an appointment to see apartments but was hoping to try my luck since I was already in the area. After a surprising short wait the front desk lady stood up to greet me & as I told her what I was looking for & inquired if I could take a tour, she immediately took my information and invited me to have a cappuccino in the lounge. (Side note: the coffee machine is freaking awesome! It is controlled through an iPad on the wall & makes all kinds of drinks like hot cocoa, lattes, espresso, etc.- & its free!) A few minutes later the front desk lady informed me that the leasing agent was currently on a tour & had another appointment right after (this was after 4 pm). She made it a point to ask what my schedule & availability was like as she didnt want me to wait & be late for anything. (I wish more people had this courtesy.) After about 15 minutes, the front desk lady took it upon herself to tour me around the amenities & common areas because the leasing agent was still in the middle of an appointment. Indoor lap pool, private yoga studio, awesome floor to ceiling windowed gym, huge theater room, spacious conference rooms, & all these amenities are free to use & open 24 hours? WOW!!!! Ive NEVER heard of anything like this. The community is pet friendly & I observed this as a resident and their dog came by the desk and was offered a dog treat. I have a Westie so this is great. As I was being toured by this front desk staff member I noticed that she knew everyones names & everyone that we came across said hello to her and was incredibly friendly. She still never lost her focus on me. I believe Sonalee was her name. The main point I would like to make about my experience is that I felt important and this woman went out of her way and way above expectations to provide good, no, great service to everyone. I honestly dont know how she juggled all of this and she wasnt even the leasing agent! If all works out with my job relocation, I do hope to call Elements my home!

The leasing team is nice but they seem to be completely detached from the property management team that is the absolute worst group of people. They will try to screw you no matter what. Dont let them fool you with a polished veneer. The building looks cool and it looks like there are excellent amenities but the pool never has a good balance of chemicals so its either dirty or reeks of chlorine, the gym is always busy with trainers and people that arent from the building and nothing is maintained, there is a free coffee machine but there are rarely ever cups. The appartments are terribly layed out with nooks and crannies that are unusable or a giant concrete post in the middle of a room. all the furnishings are of the lowest ikea quality to keep prices a bit lower than some other buildings in the area.Dont live here.

This is the worst service ever. Lived here 3 years and not worth it. I finally had enough and paid 200 more a month to move to Asthon. If you do move here, avoid these two people: NEVIN and Mychell (or something like that, this guy spells his name fancy like he is important). Anyway, these two employees are sooooo horrible at their jobs. Nevin will just smile and lie to your face, which is just who she is by nature, and Mychell/Michael/Miychel is a complete dodo. He is completely oblivious to everything and will tell you things that are not true.AVOID THEMMMMM!! if you have a tour and you are stuck with them, cancel and reschedule with someone else, even if it means missing out on an apartment. Nevin WILL lie to you at some point, i guarantee it, and steal your money. And this other character will say that the sky is green when we all know that is just not true. Also, if you do end up moving here, the only building you should even consider is the 958 High rise. The 989 is rundown with 2005 appliances, and the 909 is like a college dorm. But honestly, just pay a little more and move to a different property. Oh, and cars are always broken into at night (the gated garage is always broken). And lastly, dont ask James any questions whatsoever. He will talk your ear off trying to explain a yes or no answer. Hes a nice guy I guess, but annoys people with his story telling.that is all.

I lived in the Elements for about 18months. (958 building). The gym equipment wasnt maintained properly. The elliptical machines were broken (but usable) for most of the time I was in there. They also rent out the gyms to a fitness group who use it as well. Saying that I never had an issue getting to use the equipment.I was on the 12th floor, and it was very quiet. I did bump into my neighbours about once a week/month. The fit & finish of the kitchen was fine.. it wasnt as good as the braven next door, but it was also a couple of hundred cheaper. It was expensive though. The rent increases was large (I had 2 in my time there).I never had a problem with the concierge or leasing staff. They seemed friendly enough. They hosted regular movie nights, which were ok, but poorly attended for the most part.

I stayed in Elements 989 for 2 years before moving out. While I have heard better reviews about the other 2 buildings, 958 and 909, staying here was a nightmare. Issues below:1. Extremely expensive: The apartments are extremely pricey and will keep increasing by $150+ on every renewal. In addition, the water sewer garbage is more than anywhere else. I used to pay ~ $150 for a 1 bed apt with my wife. The thing is they charge for various collective resources like the gym/other amenities, so its more than what you use. Plus they have a weird system of billing which is extremely confusing, they will first bill you for what they approximate you used, and then show charges for what you used later. The online billing system is a mess, and this is coming from a guy that has a Masters in Engineering.2. Parking: If you come in late night, weekdays or weekends, good luck with your parking. There is a find your spot parking available which irritated a lot of residents. So they force you into reserving a spot based on $100/month. Most time at late night, you will not find a spot in 989 and will have to park under 958/909 elements.3. Maintenance/Management: Awful to say the least. I stay in the so called Luxury apartment and had atleast 15-20 AC repair requests. It broke down every few months, so it couldnt heat in the winters and couldnt cool in the summers. Inspite of repeated notifications, it only took 2 years for the AC issue to be found and stabilized in my apartment. On an occasion when my bathroom was locked out, the management realized they had the wrong emergency number listed on the website, and the emergency maintenance guy didnt reach out untill the next morning.Basically they dnt care, because they know if you leave, someone else will come over.4. Elevator: Be ready for only 1 elevator to be working most of the time in 989 and when it does it is extremely noisy.5. AC extremely noisy- only when it works.6. Move out charges: If you indeed end up staying here, be careful of the move out charges. Like a lot of other reviews state, they overcharge you, so if you arent detail oriented, they will try their max to get as much money as they can, out of you. I was charged for keys/clickers that I had already returned to the front desk, and then some ghost charges added to my cleaning as well.Positives are the amazing view and facilities both inside and outside the apartment, the proximity to bellevue mall etc.In short, if you have loads of money, dnt care about increasing or hidden charges and can do with a sub- standard management in a luxury apartment, go for the view in these apartments.
