My 2007 Honda CR-V has been having AC issues for a few years. I took it to two different mechanics and both of them just recharged the system with refrigerant and sent me on my way. Both times, the AC failed again within a few months.Fast forward to a few days ago when I decided to take the car to a shop specializing in AC repairs. Macs was very accommodating and got my car in for a system diagnostic on a day when they were already fully booked. They had a detailed repair estimate for me at the end of the day and when I authorized the repair, they were able to perform it the following day.My AC system now works great and I couldnt be happier.

I called about getting a radiator put into my 1979 Chevy Van. I was told I needed to pay $125.00 for an inspection of my cooling system. And this payment does not go towards the service? Sounds like a scam.I talked to an employee who was new to the company. I was frustrated with what he told me. So he was going to contact his Manager and I was to receive a call back. Nobody called me back.So know I am having arrangements made for my new mechanic to do the work Daves Automotive in Cornelius.

The team at Macs Automotive & Radiator Repair diagnosed and repaired a bad relay in my A/C system within the initial 1 hour diagnosis interval and did not charge extra labor time for the replacement of the relay, which is fair since such a procedure is (usually, LOL) very simple. In addition they discovered and replaced a blown cooling fan fuse, again for no additional labor time charge. They also provided a list of other issues that could quickly become problems if not resolved, but did not try to aggressively upsell those repairs. Staff is friendly and contributed to an overall great experience.

Had Macs replace valve guides and seals on thecylinder head, of my 98 volvo S70 GLT,changed the head gasket also. When I received my car back from them, I noticed after a few days the smell of burnt oil and could see smoke from under the hood. Went under the hood and noticed a small oil drip leaking on top of turbo causing the smell. So I took the car back to Macs, and they went to work to find the issue, and when they did find the issue, which was not their fault. The work done to the head was from a third party. Macs took the time to get to the bottom of the issue, and were able to find a long solution. I was very impressed with their taking the time to get to the bottom of the issue! They did a very clean job with the repair and install of new ones. It looks like someone who knew what they were doing. I brought my 69 Mustang in with a suspected radiator leak. They quickly found the issue, and said they could recore mine. They also suggested going with a 3 row instead of the stock 2 row. I went with the 3 row, and its amazing the difference. The work was fast, spot on, done fairly quickly. It was a bit pricey, but worth it because they did a fantastic job. I will recommend them to my friends.

They did a good job on my wifes car.. ( so far, so good ) but it was a little pricey and they kept insisting on other jobs we needed done with the car, like $2,000 isnt a lot of money to spend. It seemed more responsible to just take the car and trade it in after another year. $3,000 is a down payment on a brand new car...

Bought a radiator for my 2001 corvette. First radiator had incorrect fitting for the trans oil cool lines. As soon as I let them know and showed pictures was able identify the issue and how to fix the problem. Exchanged the radiator with one that had quick disconnect lines and solved my issue. Brought it to them with A/C issues and alternator noises. A/Cs the one system on the car I dont mess with, and the alternator was a Since youre in there anyway. Quick diagnostic, fast turnaround, price is a good value for the service, and a punch list of recommended service items for the future. Will be bringing cars back here again for repairs too big for my toolbox.

They call you and send an email regarding the details of your repair. Macs is also timely with the repair. They have worked on my diesel truck twice and I will go back the next time. These guys overlook everything and offer zero compensation for their mistakes. I brought my car in for a radiator fix. The service was completed but a month later my water pump and some hoses need to be replaced. Even after a full cooling system overhaul 3 months prior. They have also added on about $1,200 dollars during their supposed 1 year warranty on all services. If youre afraid of being scammed, these are the guys that you want to avoid for sure...

I am a happy car owner. I was not before I brought my car into Macs. My air conditioning had been out for a while, I took it into this place hoping they wouldnt charge me an arm and a leg (after a few failed attempts at getting the job done elsewhere.) They... Actually looked at all the parts before giving me an estimate, and told me it wasnt nearly as bad as the other places were telling me! They ended up saving me LITERALLY THOUSANDS of dollars! My car has not run this well since I got it, my service was great, and I love the guys working there. Theyre great at communicating and doing the right thing for the right price! Do yourself (and your vehicle) a favor and give these guys a shot!

Reliable AC repairs, average costs.

Brought my old Ford (1988) F150 in because it had no a/c. Much to my dismay, the entire system needed to be replaced. As it is an old R12 system it was not cheap but John and his techs did right by me. Thanks again for the excellent service.

Took them a perfectly functional radiator for cleaning. Claimed it was irreparable and refused to return or present parts for inspection claiming disposal. Basically kept a good used unit for themselves. Thieves and liars. Avoid at all costs.

I cannot give enough stars to Macs in Beaverton. I kept having trouble with the fuses blowing in my 4 wheel drive. I took it to the dealership and they pretty much told me they could charge me $100/hr and maybe figure it out and maybe not. Nice. Took it in to John and he let me know they would figure it out for me. Those poor guys, it ended up that my wiring harness had melted and taken a lot more with it. It took them a week and a lot of pain, but Jake stuck it out and got my car fixed and now I wont catch on fire! They time and customer service given from them is priceless and now that they are a full service shop, they will have a customer for life. Thanks guys!

I removed and replaced the radiator in my truck 3 times and they still did not give me the correct radiator. Im tiered of dealing with them and after 4 days have been forced to Jimmy rig the incorrect radiator so that I can get to work. To top it all off they are very non-apologetic. I was even treated poorly because I had to return radiator after radiator as if it is my fault that they cant keep their stock in order. Save your self a headache and look elsewhere now or, pick up some Advil on the way home. You are going to need it!

I just had my car serviced at Macs (at the Beaveton location) I was just so impressed with ever aspect of the service I received! My 13 year old car was having catalytic converter problems and the service engine soon light came on, I knew I could not pass DEQ so I had to address the issue right away. After doing some research I decided to take my car into Macs. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable and John did a excellent job! I am so happy I took my car to Macs! I work really hard for my money, like you. Unexpected car repair bills can cause chaos to everybodys budget. I am really great full I spent my hard earned money at Macs because it was worth it! I could not believe how rude these people were when I went to tell them I had a radiator leak. On top of that, after their replacement was done I had no heat or A/C. They practically ruined my vehicle which only has 93,000 mile on it. HORRIBLE service!!!!!!!!!!!! Stay away fom this place!

They did a repair on a lincoln continental radiator and left a dent in the upper tank.gave them another chance and sent two radiators in wanted estimate to recore.got crazy high estimates to repair,when i declined and picked them up they charged a fee they said was for flow testing radiators that were obviously in need of recore.and i never asked to be tested.i talked to a curtis supposed to be in charge of macs.he lied about these supposed charges.poor workmanship and not honest or trustworthy.
