Our AC went out in the middle of the big heat wave. I was pretty sure that it was a failed start capacitor but couldnt figure out where to buy one. A Garoken tech was kind enough to confirm my diagnosis, tell me about their retail parts counter and even give some tips on replacing the unit. I got the unit working again and didnt have to tie up a service tech during a hectic time for them. Im definitely going to schedule some PM with this company.

I have been a customer of Garoken for 20 years. They always strive for customer satisfaction. I had a leaky condensation pipe. It took two visits, but they were able to find and repair the leak. Donna, Bob, and Austin were great to work with, and fixed the solution within 5 days. They were timely and keeping me in the loop as parts were ordered. I liked how they would provide a 2 hour window of time and they call 30 minutes prior to arriving.The other thing I would like to compliment them on is their pricing, compared to their competitors. They have a one-time service fee, then labor+parts for the services rendered. No hidden fees like their competitors who surprise you with travel time, fuel cost, consumables, and PPE fees. What they quote on the phone is how much they charged me.

We hired Garoken to perform our annual HVAC inspection. We have our HVAC inspection done regularly -- after learning the hard way that lack of maintenance can lead to a seized motor on the AC unit, by having to replace it a few years ago, and how much more efficient the furnace works when cleaned. Anyway, not only was their inspection thorough, they noticed the relatively-new AC units motor was not operating correctly. They are an authorized dealer and maintenance provider for Lennox, so they were able to order and install the new part within a few days. After removing the motor, it turned out that it had not been properly sealed by the factory. Lennox replaced the part under warranty, and we felt the labor charge was very fair -- as was the fee for the annual inspection. They were quick, efficient, helpful, and we are most appreciative for their attention to detail and excellent work! Highly recommend and will continue using Garoken for our future HVAC needs. Had Garoken out to replace our 25-year-old furnace and install a new central AC unit. Accommodated me in letting me handle the electrical myself. Provided good options for both units, good communication throughout. Installers were professional, efficient, friendly, and polite in answering questions. Installed system tidy and well-done, working around constraints of the situation and where I wanted the condenser placed. Highly recommended.

I needed a new thermostat to get our heat on again. After researching normal cost range, I called around for quotes. As usual with all things service and repair, some places offered special ladies pricing (As in, shes a woman; she wont know any better. Lets overcharge her!) and would take 24 to 72 hours to get to us. Garoken had great ratings, reasonable prices, and service within the hour. The technician Austin was great; friendly, very capable and efficient. Couldnt be happier with them.

Garoken Energy did a great job installing a replacement gas furnace and managing the warranty with the manufacturer. They also saved me about $2,000 over the proposal from the original installer. I highly recommend them.

Cant rave enough about this company. Three summers ago, a month after we had purchased our home in Beaverton/Aloha we had Garoken install air conditioning. It was the middle of summer, the temps were in the 90s and we had the job done within a week. Actually I think it was a matter of days from when we had contacted them. I dont think this could be considered a normal turnaround for middle of summer work but it happened this way and we were amazed. The quality of work was exceptional and not one bit of pressured sales.Last week I sent Garoken an email with vague information and crummy pictures of my furnace/hot water venting. We had been smelling gas and were worried that we had a problem. I didnt even know if they did this type of work but Donnas response was immediate. She said we would need to have them come out to look at the venting a little closer. Today I met Bob at our house expecting to have them schedule the work to be done at a later date. Nope.....in twenty minutes while I ate my lunch, we had all new venting pipe installed correctly.Top quality work at affordable pricing. Very reliable and honest.

Great install.After we noticed regular headaches we had our 20+ year old furnace inspected (by another company) and the diagnosis was a cracked heat exchanger. After 6 bids from well reviewed companies, and a fair amount of research, we went with Garoken to install a new Lennox furnace and Honeywell air filter.They gave me honest advice and didnt try to up sell me on things I didnt need or want.Donna understood our no heat situation and was very responsive in providing requested information.Bob and Austin arrived on schedule, worked efficiently, answered my questions, and gave me tips to keep my new system running optimally. They even showed me the crack in the old heat exchanger.Garoken was the only company that took the time to measure the duct work and count registers and returns when sizing the new furnace and determined that my cracked unit was over sized. They also installed the model I was looking for within a few days, after another company told me that model wasnt available on this side of town.Disclosures: I had no prior interaction with Garoken or their employees. I rarely write such reviews.

Garoken provided great service. They are very professional and friendly.Our gas furnace became unpredictable. The heat will work for a days and stop working unexpectedly for a while. We finally called Garoken . Their technician, Scott, found the problem, a bad controller connector with 10 days lead time (time to delivery). Scott went the extra mile to ensure my furnace was operational. He made use of his connections and knowledge returned (before the hour) with the right part. He worked on that furnace until it was working as new, and we were warm. I highly recommend Garoken. Thanks Scott!

When my heater stopped working, I called Garoken Energy, the company that installed it for the original owners. They scheduled the repair the same week, and the gentleman that came out was great. Garoken was able to fix my heater quickly and did an overall inspection for other issues. During this process, I was shown other common problems with this specific heater, how to identify them, and how I can repair them myself.Overall, I had a great experience with Garoken Energy and would not hesitate to call them again.

Garoken Energy Co. was referred to me by a neighbor for A/C installation. I called for a quote to and the owner, Donna, came out a few days later to do the inspection. We live in a fairly new home built in 1998, so we already have forced air heat, and just wanted to add A/C. We already had existing exterior power at the location where we wanted to place the A/C unit; however from that location to the garage where the electrical panel was located, was pretty far...probably 100 feet. But even so, the quote we received was very competitive and reasonable. We accepted the quote and called to make the installation appointment. A few weeks later, on the day of the install, 2 gentlemen arrived at my house promptly, even a few minutes prior to the scheduled start time of 9am. Both men were very friendly and introduced themselves. Austin and Bob did the A/C install and their electrician arrived a few minutes later to run the wiring. They tested the system and went over with me the dos and donts of the new unit as well as how to cut the power to the unit if desired. We discussed the warranty info and that was basically it. They were complete with their install by 1pm. I highly recommend Garoken Energy Co. They were friendly, reliable, and best of all, competitive with their quote. Since they are a local business, I am happy to provide this review and hopefully help other local folks make their decision in finding an A/C installation company.

My cooling stopped working over the winter. I had called another company to come take a look at it, they visited twice, performed no repairs, and gave me three different estimates (the first two made in error). I thought this was fishy, so I contacted Garoken and the technician they sent knew immediately what the problems were and found THE key problem that the first company didnt discover in either of their two visits. Plus, Garoken ended up being about two-thirds the cost of the first company (!). Its been several months since the repairs and my heating and cooling is working great. These are the good guys.

Our furnace fan was not pushing the AC through our home. I figured our furnace was was going out as it was 22 years old. We bid a job to get a new furnace and Garoken came in with the best bid on a Lennox unit. The bid process was matter-of-fact and not pushy like some of our other bids were. The communication until our install date was exceptional and when the date came they were early and ready to work.During the installation they discovered our air issue was probably a Freon leak from our less than 2 yr old AC unit (that another company installed). I had difficulty getting a hold of the other HVAC company and Donna, the owner, contacted them for me. She was under no obligation to help me with a unit her company didnt install.I would highly recommend them for your HVAC job. (also get an inspection even if you have new stuff prior to getting bids)
