The car was filthy on the inside and out. There were face mask left inside that were used. It smelled like car pee and cigarette smoke as well. The roof had stained food on it. I went back inside and told the person at the counter who came out and said he would put it in the system. I told him I would not be charged for smoking when I don’t smoke and he needed to be aware of how nasty the car was. Today I returned the car early only to see that I was charged $141.25 instead of the $77 quoted on line when i booked the rental. So Avis has the nerves to charge you double the price for turning a car in early. I’m going to my bank to dispute the charges.

The van was filthy. It needed to be washed, vacuumed and the windows had sticky stuff smeared on them. The wiper water was empty. We were on a time crunch so we didnt have the time to wait any longer for it to be tended to, so we cleaned it ourselves. When we returned it and mentioned that it was filthy we were told that they were sorry and that they must have been busy. Im pretty sure there were no covid precautions taken since it was so dirty. We had to spray it with Lysol ourselves. Needless to say I will not be recommending this rental place to friends or family. We have rented a lot of vehicles in various places and we have never had a problem like this.

It was very easy, and very friendly staff. Car was clean and felt safe driving it although I had never driven a car like that and was in much traffic in large towns..Upon return had no problem dropping the car off. No stress.Very enjoyable experience will use them again when needed.

I usually get a very reliable car that is comfortable and fuel-efficient. I love that I dont have to pay extra to add my husband as a driver. When I have rented a vehicle with mild issues they immediately exchanged it for a better running car without any hassle. I have recommended to everyone in my family to use Avis when they need to rent a car.

Rental was smooth and easy. Car was what we expected. The charge for insurance including loss of sales is ridiculously high, especially considering most peoples insurance covers rental with the exception of loss in business - which is, quite honestly, extorsion on Aviss part. This ruins what otherwise would be an enjoyable rental.

It was easy to operate the app service especially for a first time user. The car was nice and exceeded my expectations of what I was getting. It was simple to change my return date and the services are fairly cheap... I was over all very pleased with my service and will use again in the future.

Didnt like the experience involved with this transaction. Attempted to turn the vehicle in early learned I wouldnt receive a refund due to the method of rental. 2nd the vehicle smelled of heavy cigarette smoke. Avis is fortunate that I use to own a detail service and took the time too eliminate that foul odor. So, in reality Avis owes me $250.00 which I dont expect too receive.

Lost my business. I will never rent another car from this company again. Rented for a week received a car that was previously wrecked with a different color bumper and bad wheel alignment. Turned car in full of gas to be charged a extra 33.00 dollars anyway. Not happy at all.

I went the airport location in Beaumont Texas ....the agent Tyler was very professional and got it right the first time. My transaction was seamless and quick. I wont be using the other company anymore...Avis from now on!

The car itself and price was good. But at the end of my contract and no extensions theh wanted me to bring the car back to them. Which was reasonable under normal circumstance. But my husband had to come home for family emergency in Virginia. Then hurricane Delta came through port Arthur near where was to be returned. The company demanded we drive 1000 miles from VA to TX into the hurricane to turn car in by sat morning. Mind you Delta hit the area on Friday. We asked to turn it in early or a day later to avoid the potential dangers of the hurricane. They threatened criminal charges if it was late and extra fees frpm $700-1000 of it was early or late. Waiting to hear from them now because they said they open at 9am on Sat. But airport dont opem until 10am. We parked car freshly washed , vacuumed and full tank. And dropped keys in Dropbox. Had to get to our flight in Huston.

I tried to call to reserve a car 2 months in advance because we are needing something very Pacific and thought maybe they could help... I called 10 times with no answer and the call center was NO help at all .. I talked with 3 different people and no one could help me .. When I finally got ahold of someone in the office in Beaumont He was very rude and of course couldn’t help me with what we are looking for.. total joke of a company. Customer service definitely needs some work

I am a Preferred Plus member who works for DuPont. I travel 40+ weeks per year and always rent from our corporate supplier (Avis). I had the occasion to drive to Beaumont Texas on business from Tennessee and rent a car so that my wife could drive our personal car. I made the reservation online for the Beaumont Airport, and found out that the local Avis location was open from 9:45PM-10:00PM on a Sunday night.When I arrived, the agent told me that the office was closed to Local renters at 6;00PM, and only customers that flew in were serviced. I stated that I made the reservation on-line on the Avis App, and noted that there were no exclusions noted. He again told me in a louder voice that the location was closed to local renters.... and they only took reservations for the incoming flight.I again showed him my reservation, and told him that the corporate website said nothing about the incoming flight limitations. He again stated that they do not rent to local traffic at that hour. After many back and forth discussions, he finally gave me my rental....This operator was rude and belligerent to a high profile account holder (DuPont), and should be trained to be much more gracious, regardless of the circumstances.I asked him for his managers contact information, and was told the business card was on the counter.This location is apparently an Independent Operator for Avis, and as such can make its own rules. I highly recommend that the other renters who want a car in Beaumont, TX consider their options before using this Avis location.Respectfully,AGS

I have been renting a car from Avis for almost 18 months straight. I was given the choice between 3 dirty vehicles on my last rental. Avis employee was not accommadating at all. Ended up with a vehicle with dirty tissues on the floor and stuck in the handles on the doors. Good customer service is what keeps customers coming back and after this experience combined with other past experiences, I may switch to Enterprise or National.

I made a reservation online and prepaid for my reservation. I needed a courtesy pickup and scheduled my pickup for 1pm. I started calling the store at around 10:30am to confirm and set a good time for someone from the store to get me. I called 4 different times and every time it rang several times before transferring me to the National number. The first two times I just hung up as soon as the automated system picked up thinking Ill call back soon. The second two times I went ahead and stayed on to talk to someone. The first time I got hung up on as I was explaining the issue and he asked me well why do I even need to contact the store. I said, I just told you that I need a courtesy pickup. Thats when he hung up on me. The second time I spoke with someone, again, I explain that I cant get in touch with the local store and I need to have a courtesy pickup. His first question was well why do you even need to contact the store. Okay this is twice theyve asked that, weird. Again I said, I just told you I need a courtesy pickup. He says to me well what do you want me to do about that. I said I have no idea, I keep calling the store and getting transferred to yall, the National number, so you tell me. He said he cant call out and Im just gonna have to keep calling them. I mean seriously? I said no, Im going to need to cancel and need a refund for the 1 day I prepaid. He says he has to transfer me to a supervisor to authorize the refund. So he gets on and says I just spoke with the previous representative and he says you want to cancel. I said yes and I need a refund. He asks what is the reason I want to cancel? Are you kidding me, you said you spoke with the previous representative. So I explain it to him again. He said well its not our problem you cant get in touch with them and he cant waive the cancel fee. So I asked the supervisor, so I pay for a vehicle to rent, I cant get in touch with the store so I need to cancel and youre telling me youre going to charge me a penalty?? I told him I am contacting my bank and not authorizing any payments to them. Guess what, the supervisor hung up on me. And this is their National number, not even the local store. This is how Avis conducts business. This is why people forget they even exist. I only went to them because I am Wyndham Rewards member and they are partners so you receive discounts. NEVER again.

The staff was great and i had no idea what to expect with this being the first time i rented a car. The only complaint i had was that i am used to driving a F350 and i rented a small car to drive to Orlando from Texas. The car was a little to small, but I cant complain the roughly 2000 mile trip cost me less than $100 in gas. I nearly spend that a week going to and from work. i will know better next time.

The staff was very helpful in getting the reservation and car ready and even stayed after hours to complete my reservation. With-out them, I would have been stuck in Beaumont when I had car trouble as I was driving through to Houston. I dropped the car of the next day with a super easy and equally friendly day staff. If there were six stars they would get it. Oh yeah... car was great too.

Dont rent to AVIS!!!!I a chose AVIS because it was the “cheapest” one. Not at all!!! With the extra charges and tolls i ended up paying doble the price of the car!!!! Me best friend rented a car for the same amount of days than i did with another company and she paid NOT EVEN HALF of the amount of what i had to pay with taxes and tolls! And we got the SAME CAR just different colors!!!!!!!! I call Avis cause 2 month later they charge another “fee” to my card and they told me we will send you an email with the contract and the explanation of the extra charges in 1 to 4 hours.... its more than a week now and still NOTHING, i call and they just say “its on its way”.....Don’t use AVIS!!!!! Get another company!!!!!!!!! Save your MONEY and TIME!!! I just canceled the card :(((

I reserved a car at this location ( frequent customer) and had to return the car 5 minutes after closing. I tried calling the location for over an hour to let the know and when i finally spoke the the associate (Dadd) there he told me that if i drop it off 5 minutes late, he was going to charge me for another day! Every time I come to this location, Kenny and Cade exceed my expectations and keep me coming back. Had a recent rental where the App said they had no cars, called the location and not only did they find a car for me but Karley stayed after hours to make sure I got the rental. I can not say enough about them and their attention to detail, ease to work with and their customer focus.AVIS overall could learn what it means to be customer focused and the true meaning of we try harder from Kenny, Cade and Karley.Outstanding people and will continue to only use them.

We reserved a car here and needed to return it during early morning hours. We were told by Avis the location is closed early morning and there is no key drop off facility. We tried calling the location directly in case their central call center had insufficient information. Location was impossible to reach. Avoid if you can.
