Where do I start about how wonderful Joe Palermo and his entire staff have been to me most of my life. I have had policies with them under both my parents, both deceased and covered fully by this office, and now my family has had all the policies possible with them! This is the worst insurance company Ive ever had to deal with! Im so upset and hurt by how they handled my situation that Ive even sent a complaint to the insurance commission. I NEVER write reviews but I want to be sure this doesnt happen to anyone else. An inspector from State Farm went out to my home in July of 2018 (he sent a email to Francis Palermo, and I was never notified of this email) He stated that repairs needed to be done in order to renew my policy for Aug 2019. I received an email May 16, 2019 and a quick phone call from Francis Palermo saying I need to get a roof repaired(replaced), news gutters put around the property, and the soffit and fascia completely replaced. All of this needed to be done before August 4,2019. I was so upset and so confused as to why I was just hearing about this when someone went to my home a whole year earlier. She claimed something was sent in the mail, but I never received it and Im sure it wasnt sent. I found another agent quickly and they instantly transferred all of my stuff to the new agent without even offering an apology. The most upsetting part of all of this was when I went over everything with the new agent I found out that my policy hadnt even been looked at since 2008! Thats the year I got it!!!!!!! I sent every payment ON TIME,. a 10000.00 dollar repair seems like something they would call me personally for on the phone. So an inspector came out 2018 they didnt contact me until 2019 2 months before my policy was set to expire. I had to come off 10,000 dollars in two months and that was not easy. Everyone may not be able to do this so BUYER BEWARE. I understand mistakes happen but this was one HUGE mistake that shouldve been corrected and AT LEAST offered an apology. Thank God for my new agent, theyve been lifesavers and my insurance was renewed 2 days before it was supposed to expire.

For over 20 years, Joe, Francis and the crew at Joe Palermo State Farm have always given us the greatest rates and care. They have provided all our insurance needs and even call us by our first name when we call. Its service like this that has kept us through the years even we lost our home in Hurricane Rita to even having our teenage son added to our policy. Hands down, I would completely recommend them to any family whether just starting out or just looking for a change. Joe Palermo is the right choice.

This happened a few years ago. I was insured with this office since 1996. Life insurance policies on both children since birth. It all started with a ticket in port Arthur my husband went to show proof of insurance to the Judge because our plates indicated we didnt have insurance. The judge called this office and was told yes theyre insured. Quote I had home owners, 5 vehicles, brand new boat and life insurance poor. Our mortgage company placed insurance on our home due to this office not providing proof. We called the office to find out why. The lady in the office (Melissa) wasnt in she was on vacation found out we didnt have insurance on but maybe 2 vehicles we owned. The insurance sent over was fraudulent insurance and they lied to the judge of our vehicle having insurance. Needless to say we now have insurance with farmers because they were the only company that would insure us due to our BAD insurance credit. Melissa was fired for this. The owners Joe and Francis were awful and had no sympathy for us and told us it was our fault for not contacting them. They blocked me from calling their office after all of this.

Sorry insurance company bought and paid in full for insurance. Then they tried to raise my rates , told them no and bought it somewhere else. Called and asked about my refund and was told ,now that they owe me, they want to audit my books. Asked why when the policy is and has been canceled? NEVER BUY INSURANCE FROM THIS RIP OFF COMPANY

This company is EXTREMELY unorganized and rude. An employee named Evelyn I believe, had very rudely asked my boyfriend why he was still on his moms policy (when he has been since he started driving) and basically mocking him about it because he didn’t live with her but he pays for his. None of her business anyways!! It’s a different story with every person we talk to anytime we have a question and everyone we’ve dealt with doesn’t seem to know what they are doing. I would never them recommend to anyone.

Constantly going up on my rates with no accidents or tickets on my record.they sent my information to someone else,given me incorrect information,took over 2 weeks to get a policy on my truck cause they cant type in a vin correctly,and told me one number and turn around and charge me more.i even canceled all my coverage and they kept charging me.
