Good for 6 months then rate increased for no reason so I went back to previous insurance provider

I will never use Allstate again. Had multiple policy’s with them and when Imelda came we had two vehicles flood. After we replaced one of our vehicles in oct they canceled our auto insurance in dec without our consent and back dated it to oct. They did not notify us or the bank we had the truck financed with of the cancellation. It was auto drafted from a account we don’t use often so we didn’t realize we had no coverage until 6 mths later when we went to call to check what our deductible was and they told us we didn’t have an auto policy and that it had been canceled. They basically admitted it was an “accident” but the person that did it no longer worked there and then they refused to cover us for auto insurance at that point because our claims were to big after the tropical storm. If you use Allstate just be careful because when we signed up with Farmer’s insurance because of this issue our agent told us he has had lots of people from Allstate come to him for the same exact thing following weather related disasters.

Ive had both our auto and renters insurance with them. My major complaint is that the staff doesnt seem to know what they are doing half the time. When you call in, you are placed on hold forever. Ive changed auto insurance because of this and just made my final payment on my renters insurance. Im on hold now trying to let them know that I will not reinstate my renters insurance because we just bought a house. Literally have been on hold for 20 minutes. Not one person has picked up...so sick of hearing the recorded message over and over again. I am calling during business hours and no one is picking up. This is unacceptable and so frustrating!!

Alstate has the best customer service ever. From the moment I called and made my claim everyone has been patient and understanding and professional on moving my claim from my first phone call to Mike the adjuster to speaker with Robin my claim rep. Put my insurance policy in the wrong name and I had storm damage NAD I could not file my claim because I had no coverage because my home was insured in the past owner and not me.
