Don’t come here!!! There was no trash cans in the room. The decorations were cheap looking and no telephone. The sinks didn’t give enough room to wash your hands. The pool room card sensor hardly works. The alarm clocks look like they are from the 1900s. They were stains on the ceiling easily the worst experience at a hotel. The decorations at the front look all high class but the room quality is atrocious.

Super friendly staff, great room with a very comfy bed and amenities. Location is convenient for traveling to downtown Cleveland and there are lots of great restaurants in the area. They even have a laundry room to help keep on top of things, which was great as we stayed for about a week. And the fresh baked cookies and dipped oreos were a special and unexpected treat.

Booked a room weeks in advance for a nearby wedding that I was in. Called early on the day of to see if we could check in or at least get our key cards but we would not need the room until after the wedding and was told we can’t check in early but we could check in after the wedding with no problem. After the wedding the whole bridal party try to check in and we’re told they don’t have our room any more, they sold it to someone else and there was nothing they could do. If you’re looking to book a block of hotels for a wedding I would look elsewhere.

The staff was friendly, the bed was super comfortable, and the location is great. The Aloft brand isnt a traditional hotel. Theres no restaurant or room service. The room is a little small, and there is no room service. Housekeeping wasnt available due to COVID. Still, it was a clean cozy stay with great service and I recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel next to lifetime fitness and prairie grasslands walking trails. Dog and kid friendly. The staff were super friendly! Great place for a weekend away!

Rocky at the front desk deserves whatever raise you can afford. He made our check-in enjoyable after 10 hours on the road. Just a wonderful guy.

Thought it would be a little cleaner and better service. When checking in, I didnt get a choice of rooms when the attendant asked the other guest where they would like to stay on the floor.

Good because of the staff but my goodness the rooms felt like a jail cell. I couldn’t pinpoint why exactly bc the furnishing were nice but this place felt like a prison and I couldn’t wait to go home. Otherwise everything was great

Good customer service however, when I enter the room it was still dirty. Nothing was wiped down, the bed was not made, and there was still trash bags on the floor. When I spoke with the front desk lady she gladly have us another room.

They have great amenities, with the gMes and pool table. BUT the cost was that the soap was out in the bathroom, multiple anti bacterial machines were out, I couldnt find a soul to talk to. It was nuts.

Great friendly staff, hotel was a little dirty on the floor probably because of all the kid traffic. This hotel is VERY accommodating even when your upset, they make it possible for you to have a great stay. They may not have breakfast readily made when u wake up but they made breakfast for my family and even delivered it to the room for us! If I needed a place to stay in Cleveland again I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.

Definitely dont plan on coming back here. They apparently ran out of wipes for the gym which is gross pre-covid but seriously... Lots of arguing until early in the morning on my floor, when I tried to call the front desk I gave up waiting for them to answer.Room and the rest of the hotel was less than clean and the entire floor smelled like Pot. I spend too many nights in hotels to deal with something this below par.

I guess I am done with aloft even I am a member with Marriott1. Took 30 mins to check in because they let people cut in line2. Room is not clean3. 1 am somebody was talking loud4. 4:26 someone was knocking doors for 30 mins. We called the security, he has no idea and he knocked our door. Man!

Avoid this property at all costs. In fact, ditch the brand. Wondering why I’m writing a review at 7:13am? Since my check in I’ve been complaining about kids running up and down the hallway, adults congregating in the hallway, kids screaming, chips all over the hall way floor, etc.. I was told they would monitor it-not sure what’s there to monitor when I’m telling you my concerns as a guest.I guess in monitoring they decided it wasn’t an issue. This continued throughout the night. At 6:22am I was awaken AGAIN by loud music. I initially thought it was coming from outside since Thats also a hang out spot for a lot of people who come to this hotel. They sit inside the parking lot and blast their music (I know weird).After realizing the music was coming from someone on my floor (same people who’ve taken over the property it seems) I called the front desk. I was told they would send security up. After waiting 10-15 minutes I called back to the front desk because again it’s a little after 6am and the music is still going. I asked the young lady at the front desk was she gonna send security or if I should just go and knock on door myself? Again, she said she would send security. With the lack of empathy one would almost wonder if the front desk knew about this “party.” They just seemed too relaxed with no sense of urgency.I will never stay at another Aloft property again, granted they are part of a larger chain. This particular property is something left to desire. Seems like a lot of locals renting hotel rooms to party. I was only looking for a place to rest my head before getting on the road. It’s gonna be coffee for me!! Thanks Aloft!

Nice hotel and very European influenced

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! Ive been to other Aloft properties, but found this one to be particularly lacking. The lobby is loud and chaotic. For some reason, a game table is just left of the entrance, so you are greeted by a crowd of noisy players. Then we were greeted by a large sign that read NO PARTIES AND NO SMOKING. Although I dont smoke or was planning to party, it seemed a bit hostile. Not a welcoming vibe.Check in was less than friendly. The check in kiosk was surrounded by a bank of tables, in response to Covid. Unfortunately, this made it impossible to sign the credit card machine - and no effort was given to make that easier. I had reserved a suite and called ahead to ask if I could use the sofa as a bed for my small grandchild. I was told just to ask for bedding at check in. I also added it to my digital check in. When I asked for bedding, I was told our rooms dont have sofas! I corrected her and said, I have a suite and your online photos indicate theres a sofa. I also called yesterday and was told I could get bedding. I guess I can do that was the response. When we got to the suite, the bath had 3 washcloths, 2 bathmats and a hand towel. No bath towels. I had to call and ask for towels for 3. I was given 2. I guess theres a shortage. The handtowel had what appeared to be dirt stains on it, so we used the washcloths as handtowels since we had extras. These are the BASICS for checking in a room; it appears that no manager checks the rooms. The very minimum cleaning was done in that room, and the floor didnt appear to be vacuumed.Since most guests opt for take out foods, the next morning, the hallway was littered with last nights food bags. Again, no one is checking the halls on the floors (theres only 3 floors!) for maintenance. There was an old spill of something in the elevator that was collecting dirt.When we departed, the check in kiosk was empty. Someone must have heard us leaving, ran out and said, I hope you enjoyed your stay! Nope. For a room over $250, youd expect at least the basic, and perhaps more - it was just grubby all around. As a long time Marriott member, I dont think Ill be back.

We were in town for a family get together and stayed here for one night. The main entrance when you first walk in is very cool and modern. Sometimes they play music downstairs and in the pool area. My kids had fun in the pool, it’s not heated so they got cold pretty quickly. There was a lady smoking inside the building which staff handled quickly after being notified. All the employees we encountered were really nice and gave great service. We did have 1 service lady walk into our room without knocking. She backed out, then knocked, and when my husband opened the door she apologized and asked if we needed a bed made, which we did not. The breakfast they have is kind of pricey for what it is. I payed 2 or 3$ each for an Apple and banana. They give out these little containers with a select breakfast collage inside for 8$. I had the one with cheese fries and a poached egg. It was yummy. Over all we had a nice stay.

Overall its not a bad hotel. Not quite what I would have expected from a Marriot property. When I checked in my room smelled of cigarettes and it is a smoke free hotel. I was given a different room and once I was settling in found that it had not been cleaned very well. There was leftover food in the fridge as well as a uncovered glass of Alchol on the door which proceeded to spill. There was food spilled on the shelf/stand between the beds, spilled coffee on the cup lids, king size sheets on a queen bed that all you did was trip over them, the soap and shampoo in the shower was empty and the room was missing garbage cans. Needless to say I spent the next hour using my personal supply of Lysol wipes and spray to clean the room. While the staff seemed nice enough the hotel was not adequately staffed as anytime we called or needed something we were always told it would be a while as there was only one person there. When i spoke to the manager he was empathetic and even got a table for me to use in my room but that was it. After asking everyday for a garbage can I never did get one. For a Marriot property in the CoVid environment I expected much more on the cleaning of rooms. I am a Titanium Elite member and travel 6-7 months of the year so I know what to and not to expect. I stayed using (somewhat wasting) points and still got charged instead of Marriot being billed. I called the front desk and was told it would be corrected yet when i got my print out of my bill it was still showing charged. Now i will have to babysit my credit card to make sure this is corrected.The pool table, free arcade game and board games were nice to have at the guests disposal. I am sure this is not the norm for the hotel so i hope this serves as a wake up call to get things in order.

Was told only room was available was a king suite. I booked it & then when I went to my room it was dirty & looked as if someone had already slept in the bed. I took photos went to the desk. “Suddenly” there was another room available that was less expensive. I was assured that I would be charged for the lower room rate. Nope, I got charged for the suite rate. I’ve called and ask for manager to contact me several times & never have received a return phone call. The floor tiles were falling off the trim & the entire room felt dirty. Worst sleep ever

Rooms -- we stayed for 119$ -- were comfortable but small. Very acceptable bed and bathroom arrangements - but no bathtub. Had small but healthy brkfst buffett - was good quality and in -- expensive.Easy access to front door - we appreciated parking(handicapped). Hotel is near expressway exits. My wife was pleased with the pool and hotel service; and most all people were we wearing masks. Was overall a pleasant experience -- and would return.

Toilet had a permanent yellow stain...floors in the room were sticky hence I had to wipe them out myself...phone wasn’t working to call the help desk and they didn’t care we had rowdy neighbors all through the night...

I stayed at this property last night. The Hotel is beautiful and very friendly staff. Unfortunately, my stay was horrible because of a car alarm outside my window going off every 15 minutes all night long keeping me awake. I called the front desk and they didnt care to see what the situation was. When I first arrived at my room the entire 4th floor smelled like marijuana a very strong odor. I later went to take my dog out around 9:30 pm and a group of people was gathered around the lobby with no mask. As I went outside a man was in his car thumping loud music and smoking marijuana. It all just turned me off to ever stay there again. I just feel certain things should be done at home and not around an establishment with families in and out.

Nice modern design and amenities in the lobby. The room and elevator were not cleaned well at all. Also, for having gotten one of the most expensive rooms the privacy level was not up to par. You can hear almost everything your neighbors are doing.

My sister checked in and housekeeping put the room in service despite having dirty sheets on the bed. Bad experience. I understand Covid-19 issues but they must check rooms before releasing for sale.

It was cute, the customer service was excellent... But I cant share the good without sharing the bad... it was dirty. They need help for housekeeping staff desperately.

Pool was freezing, no towels in the room, and the snack area had no snacks to our purchase. Needs some Marriott training and tlc.

In a word: grim. My first room was really dirty, and clearly hadn’t been vacuumed. There was crushed food all over the floor, the room smelled like someone had just eaten fast food. At first glance the second room was better, excluding the broken key pad on the door. After we settled in we noticed that the carpeted floor felt sticky. Later we saw a partially eaten chicken wing under the desk. The walls were dented with some areas of crumbling drywall. The bathroom doors had been used and abused and had huge chunks taken out of them. The elevators, hallways, and lobby were also dirty, with food and crumbs everywhere. During a pandemic, when cleanliness is paramount, the hotel did not deliver even a basic level of cleanliness, let alone the sense that anyone was taking disinfecting seriously.

This place is really beautifully decorated and appeared pretty clean but the floors there were terrible thats why I gave 3 stars I mean every floor the lobby floors the hallway floors leading to the rooms and even inside of the hotel rooms the floors were dirty with stuff everywhere if someone would just run a vacuum cleaner it could easily be a 5 star experience

Good location and excellent staff that are very professional and warm. The problems we encountered were noise from the air conditioning and fridge, which we turned off. We arrived very late and did not want to change rooms. Otherwise, the room was as you would expect from an Aloft.

Rooms are small and dark. No smart tvs so you have to watch cable. And the hotel was very noisy. For how much I paid to stay there it was not worth it.

The bed was not made. And had dirty sheets. There was food and crumbs all over the floor. The room smelled horrible. When we told the front desk clerk (Stephanie) she did not care and immediately caught and attitude. Over all the hotel is dirty and the customer service is horrible.

Really nice place, clean rooms, friendly staff. Has a nice indoor pool and a 24 hr fitness center, games and more.

This place is really cool. The lobby is vibrant and filled with lots of fun family/friend activities. The room was very modern and updated. However, there was a stain on my pillow case, the mattress had a stain on it, and the shower grout was pretty gross. I would definitely stay here again.

Great stay. Super friendly staff set the tone for a welcoming and fun environment. My dog was in heaven as she got all kinds of love from staff and other guests - so fun for her and very nice for our family.

My stay was absolutely horrible. My first room was not clean at all, stains in my bed, refrigerator was disgusting and phone was dusty. I complained and received another room. Second room was better but service was less than exceptional, and no one ever answers the phone.

Friendly staff. Shuttle service within a 5 mile radius from the hotel. Modular rooms. Marriotts aloft is all about optimization and efficiency with a modern twist. No complimentary breakfast service, but offers paid for selection.In the rooms, Fixtures are high quality, but do not expect a microwave in the room or lay down bathtub. For paper plates, napkins, plastic ware you need to go to the lobby.

The rooms were dirty. The swimming was nasty. Customer service was poor and unprofessional

The desk clerk was extremely friendly. I loved her but the room while colorful and efficient was filthy. Showers were moldy and rusty. Bed sheets had stains on them. I did not reach out because I had already had a long day so I just dealt with the conditions but I would never stay in this Aloft again and would be very leery of staying in one in the future.

My son and I were on College Visits in Ohio and stayed at Aloft in Beechwood while visiting Case Western Reserve University. We loved the look and feel of the hotel. The lobby was very cool and different from the other hotels where we stayed. The room was bright and the beds were extremely comfortable. The bathroom looked brand new and they offered BLISS toiletries. We only stayed one night but enjoyed it very much.

Phenomenal place - there are few places one can go to channel their inner Mark Twain and still feel a bit themselves. Great food, great service, great shower! 10/10! #awesome #recommend #hospitality

Great place to stay. My first time at this concept an i do really like it. The only downside is somehow the walls and the doors are so thin that you can hear ppl walk and talk like there next to you. I do however feel like the staff are very welcoming and pleasant. The breakfast nook area is very nice and great variety of food and choice. How ever I didnt realize that each item have a price tag where you need to pay for everything you put on your place = I was not aware. I have stayed at many hotels around the world and never seen the setup where you pay for each item instead of been included in the price of the room or additional fee for the entire meal. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful and ciean

I recently stayed for one night at the Aloft Beachwood after being in town for a few days after learning of the sudden passing of a loved one. I needed to just hit the reset button and my overnight stay did not disappoint. The room was clean, check-in was easy without any hassle and I was able to get served right away at the bar even though it was packed with other guests. I was completely exhausted and was able to relax and completely unwind and get a much needed nights sleep to reset. I would highly recommend a stay at the Aloft Beachwood!

April 17 2020I want me and my fiancé to enjoy a night away from the house and I picked this hotel for the price of the stay I was very disappointed that the room do not come with a microwave I didn’t find that out until I was ready to warm his food when he arrived after work so I had travel downstairs to warm up food, the microwave was sitting next to the elevator door no one was downstairs that I could complain to, their was no cups in the room, Was woke out of our sleep at 4 am someone on the floor was constantly letting their door slam, ended up leaving at 4:30 am.. I felt like I was at a cheap motel.. I will never stay there again

Excellent service! Modern design but you could tell they had cut some corners. Was a bit noisy because it was New Years Eve but what can you do?

I have been an SPG member for over 10 years and I always have been satisfied with any of the Mariott Bonvoy selections, however, the ALOFT group of hotels is special. Great décor, amenities, service and style, they are always well priced and a value. The hip atmosphere and the vibe is something you dont get at other properties, however, it is a plus and makes ALOFT unique in that regard. I always choose ALOFT now in any of my leisure trips if the city offers it and I have NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED!

My hotel stay here was nothing but good. Front desk was very nice and welcoming, they made sure I had everything I needed and my stay was very much relaxing. I will be staying again and I recommend the second floor for your future stay!

I stayed here for one night only, but I could probably live here. Great amenities. Very modern and cozy. My buddy and I bonded over some morning pool and coffee - great coffee btw!

Staff was very friendly and courteous. I brought my 2 dogs and they were more than accommodating; a pet bed was in the room and I was given a bag of dog treats the next time I came through the lobby. Theres a bar, outside and inside lounges, pool table, and games in the lobby. Very modern and cool, a nice welcoming change. The pool table did have a big stain on it and only one pool stick available, but no other issues there. The rooms were pretty quiet for the most part. I didnt hear any neighbors or water pipes in the walls that I typically get in cheaper hotels. Our room was right by the elevator but I still heard minimal noise from our room. A mini fridge was available in our room and everything was clean. Unfortunately theres not breakfast included. Theres an area to buy food and drinks, all with a price.

The hotel was very clean and the atmosphere was so warm and inviting. I was very impressed with the layout and how clean my room was and I slept comfortably and quite peacefully. The price is very reasonable and worth every penny.

Nice hotel. Easy check in. Had to ask for a receipt when I left in order to be reimbursed. Free coffee in the lobby. Games that could be played. Nice pool and a small fitness area. Over all nice property. Could us some touchups as it is starting to show its age.

The facilities were gorgeous! clean and fresh smelling! we were greeted by very friendly staff at the desk and every aspect of the facility was so modern. not just fancy, but very modern. The layout of the room was great as it separated the bathroom/vanity area from the rest of the room. overall just a very great experience.Just nit picky stuff really. We have grown accustomed to continental breakfasts and the only complimentary fare was the coffee. but a good breakfast for 6 bucks isnt bad at all! and the food is delicious and fresh! And again, just being nit picky...There are not a lot of hooks or bars to hang wet swimsuits from in the bathroom. But that is the only two (and they are (MINOR) areas of improvement.

I enjoyed my stay here! The design was what pulled me in. I loved the vibrant colors, some non-traditional furniture and setup of the lounge and rooms. The staff greeted me with a smile and was friendly. The building was clean everywhere I went. My room had a comfy king bed and pillows to match. The night tables built into the wall on each side of the bed were a cool idea. They even had outlets above them for easy access. I really liked the sliding bathroom door w/ full-length mirror. Though, it wouldve benefited from soft-close stoppers. The health-conscious food choices were a pleasant surprise, but couldve had more variety. Plenty of shops and restaurants are within driving distance, so theres something for everyone. Aloft Beachwood was great! Ill definitely stay there again!

I drove from GA to Cleveland overnight and wanted to check in early. Andrew which is the manager made sure there was a room available for me and my family. They even made sure to bring up a microwave, since the rooms dont come with one. The atmosphere was very pleasant and staff was very friendly. I wouldnt mind coming back to this location while I stay in Ohio.

The room was clean but I wasnt happy with the layout of the modern style of the room at all. The bathroom is literally right behind the bed with a ceiling to floor length frosted glass window and the divider is hollow so if privacy is something youre looking for you wont get it in the standard king room.

I try to be reasonable when sharing my experience of a hotel. I’ve stayed in plenty of great hotels ...and this is not one of them. The location is great..the lobby is decent ... the room is laughable. The shower is weird...you get one chair to sit on inside of the room. This hotel room is most likely perfect for a 18 year old to take his prom date after prom.. it is definitely not satisfying for a hard working adult like myself who simply wanted the money spent for this overpriced room to be a reflection of the service and quality expected. I will not be returning.

I stayed here for business but the amenities were very nice. Shuttle took me to the nearby business which was very convenient. Close to restaurants and shops with short Uber ride. Rooms were nice.

I’ve stayed at a few Alofts and have enjoyed my stays, however this one was very disappointing.Check-in: Absolutely zero recognition of my Platinum status, although I did get my amenity points. Also, I understand that an upgrade is not always possible, especially when I’m staying for several nights. However, to be put in the middle of the hotel on the second floor when I always request top floors and the end of hallways was pretty bad in my opinion. Room: Aloft rooms are smaller than other hotels but I expect that staying here. I always enjoy the modern feel but man did this particular location feel cheap. The furniture has the look of a recently renovated Motel 6. Plus there is zero decor, pretty much a small grey cube. More negatives include the lack of sound proofing between the floors above you. Its definitely below average compared to other places I’ve stayed. Combine this with noise in the hallway and limited fan options on the A/C you better bring your ear plugs.All the negatives aside, the pillows and bed are very comfortable in my opinion, actually some of the best. Shower and water pressure were perfect as well.

I love that Aloft properties are always consistent in their offerings of clean modern hotel rooms. Close to several restaurants. Bartender was friendly and made good drinks.

The breakfast options were slim despite the amount you pay for the room, and the hotel itself is in a bit of a noisy area. I was basically woken early by cars driving by with their base systems bumping loudly, headed to the fitness center located behind the hotel. The room was nice...a little modern. I didnt care for there being a sliding door in the bathroom, or body wash/shampoo & conditioner combo in actual dispensers. Just seems odd. The staff was pleasant and professional.

Amazing hotel! Super clean and trendy! Loved the set up. Watch how you book. You can book it with a free breakfast at the same price! I will totally go there again! Also the staff is amazing and super pleasant! And OMG!!! the beds were the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in! Love it!

Gave me a room that was not clean , ask for a new onewas disgurd

Staying at the Aloft was a mistake! The first room they put me in was filthy. They offered me a free breakfast but I paid for breakfast included. When I showed them my confirmation email they told me there was nothing they could do. Then they gave me 2 free drinks at the bar. The second room was clean but the bathroom door jammed and I was stuck in there for a few minutes. When I told the front desk, he wrote a note but didn’t apologize or acknowledge my issue. When I went to the bar to get my free drinks, I had to wait 20 minutes for a bartender to show up. She asked me did I want something as if me sitting at the bar wasn’t obvious. I ordered my drinks and she said I’ll be back. She didn’t make the drinks for another 5 minutes. There was a lot of noise and trash in the halls, on both 2 and 3 levels. Apparently housekeeping goes home at 5:30 so anything goes after that. That’s what the front desk said. I had to wait forever for someone to take my order for breakfast. There is never anyone who works there around when you need them. I wish I had stayed somewhere, anywhere else.
