Reserved a van a week ahead of our move, when I showed up they had my reservation but no vans. Will not ever be doing business with this incompetent company again.

Do NOT use this location nor this company.Had a reservation for a 6 pm pick up - showed up right before 6 (after calling and saying on the way but traffic bad and will be there). Girl left BEFORE 6 - was out the door, in car and on Airline before 6 pm. I had to rearrange my schedule to pick up the next day as the girl left work early and Budget didnt fulfill their agreement. Called the help desk and spoke with 5 people (they kept transferring me) and asked for a manager. Was told a manager would call me within 2 hours and they would book me for the following day. When I called to make sure of the reservation the following morning, there was no record of my reservation! AGAIN I was told a manager would call me back within 2 hours and compensate me for the inconvenience and not fulfilling their obligation. Wow - no surprise but no call either the second day. Then we finally get a truck and while moving to Miami it was raining and the truck leaked the ENTIRE time inside – both the driver and passenger seats were wet. This is by far the worse place to rent from both locally and on a national level because they don’t respond to issues and don’t fulfill their obligations. I would not recommend this location nor this company for any business.

Couldnt be more dissatisfied. Reserved a truck a couple of weeks ahead of time to make sure we had a way to move a friends stuff from one house to another during LSU move in weekend. The initial cost was never actually taken out but they had a hold on the funds so we thought we were good to go. We get there to pick it up and suddenly its going to be an additional $55 because company policy you have to purchase there insurance. Then $35 more to add an additional driver just because the reservation wasnt in my name. When asked well cant you just change the reservation to my name? I was told no because the card on file belonged to my friend. I was dumbfounded by the b.s. they came up with. So we chose not to rent it. Only to be charged $35 for a non cancelation fee! Eventually got that money back of course but still. Its because of all that and the fact that it left us unable to rent anywhere else on such short notice that a one trip, half a day move turned into a ridiculous amount of trips over the entire weekend that I honestly will NOT EVER THINK TO USE BUDGET TRUCK RENTAL AGAIN!

I will NEVER use Budget. I booked a rental truck a full 60 days before our move online. Went to pick it up the morning of our move, and was told by the lady working that they didnt have any trucks, even though there was 3 in the parking lot. I asked about those and she claimed they did not work. She offered no help, besides to say that the closest store was in New Orleans. She told me I could call the 1-800 number. I did, after calling every other moving truck company in town. After 2 hours of waiting, a supervisor called me back and told me that they had overbooked, and it wasnt the local vendors fault, that the company itself should not have taken more reservations that it had trucks for. Based on this I have a bunch of questions... Why didnt the local vendor call me? When I showed up she said they had 9 overbooked reservations that day, but they didnt call anyone. Also we drove by this location on our way home, and noticed one of the broken trucks leaving the parking lot.Also, as a company, how do you openly admit that you have overbooked, and then offer no solution or compensation or a credit or anything. Terrible.. I do not know how they stay in business.

Beware!!!! Made a reservation 9 days in advance but when i got there i was told by the not so friendly lady that they dont have a truck for me and to just call Budget customer service if i have any questions. Called 800 number, waited for 20mins then i was told that a Manager will call me. NEVER received a callback!! Went to U-Haul, didnt have any problem and all the people are so accommodating and friendly. Will never use Budget Truck ever again!

SAVE YOURSELF AND DO NOT RENT FEOM HERE!!!!!!This was the worst moving rental experience I have ever had. If I could give this 0 stars I would.I recently relocated with my girlfriend and needed to rent a truck. Budget was the cheapest online so we thought we had found the perfect company to rent from. Little did we know the people would be so useless at the store. We had a reservation for Sunday but got an email that we could come in on Saturday and when we came in they had no trucks so we were told to come the next day like we were going to. When we go in the next day they tell us all the trucks have been rented out and our reservation wasn’t real. The person helping us was trying to cover their ass because they messed up and rented out trucks they weren’t supposed to. Then she had the nerve to rush us to get stuff together because she was ready to go home. She end up “finding our reservation” after she noticed the computer wasn’t charging us. So she lied and said our reservation wasn’t real but since it showed we didn’t have to pay she somehow found the reservation. Then when we finally find out a partner business to budget had a truck she said that we had to go pick up the budget truck and bring it back to the shop. Like how is that even legal. Then when we are on the road driving the truck rain is coming in from the cab part but we are hours away at this point. Then the return wasn’t easy at all. But that’s a story for another dayMoral of the story. This company is terrible and wouldn’t recommend anyone renting from them!

WORST TRUCK RENTAL IN THE STATE. I reserved a truck 3 days in advanced and when I went to go pick it up at the Airline Hwy location inside of Pepboys, the lady at the desk said, Oh we dont have a truck. We wont have any for a while either. I tried to call you and I left a message. I never got a phone call or voicemail from anyone and she got loud and kept saying Well I left a message! I ended up getting corporates number and I kept being transferred in order to speak with a manager however no one ever got back to me. I am furious with the way they run their company. I had to postpone my move (out of state) and I will definitely only be sharing my extremely negative experience with whoever I come across that tries to rent a moving truck. Only U-Haul for me from now on.

Horrible experience go somewhere else Budget gave me a truck that ran bad for my trip Customer Service SUCKS!!!! Brought the truck back I was told I was good and more than a week later Budget recharge my credit card. I will never use Budget Truck Rental again.

Well to start off...we went inside and the lady behind the counter immediately had an attitude. She looked extremely confused when we told her that we had a reservation for a moving truck because “there aren’t any trucks in Baton Rouge at all this weekend. Not from Budget, Enterprise, nothin.” When asked why there weren’t any trucks when we made the reservation a week in advance, her response was “There just aren’t.” Secondly, we made this reservation over a week beforehand...and there wasn’t a truck available ANYWHERE in the area. Thirdly, when we called customer service, they were polite but we were promised a call back anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours later. Two and a half hours later, we got a call and was hung up on 4 times while trying to “transfer us.” Horrible experience all together...rude associates, disorganization, and most importantly...no truck.

Worst experience ever!!!!!! Me and a bunch of people have been sitting here for HOURS waiting for an employee to even show up when we already reserved our trucks. We are moving to a different city and this pushed us back so much. Went with these guys instead of uhaul bc it was way cheaper but I guess you get what you pay for. Never renting from them ever again..

Had a reservation, drove 4 hours and several hundred miles to get truck, show up and she said she extended the other persons rental time, without telling us anything or even leaving a message. To top it off, there were trucks in the parking lot and we just got excuses and no help. The woman was cocky and rude as well as did not tell the truth. Will not use them at least this site.
