This company is an absolute joke. They never call to inform if theres a reason why they wont come on the scheduled delivery day. When you call you cant even leave a voicemail because the voicemail is full. My wife called incessantly for over 15 minutes before someone answered the phone. When she did reach someone they gave an excuse the truck broke down and they would be there the next day. The entire week passed and no one came. After calling again and again they still gave the same answer, they will come tomorrow. Tomorrow comes and nothing. I even tried to stop by their office listed on their website. All I found there was the name of a different company, not Trash Away. After doing a Google search its no wonder they have 1.9 stars out of 5. If I had the ability to leave zero stars for this review I would, but unfortunately that is not an option. If anyone is doing their due diligence and researching companies in the area I know the ARC has comparable pricing and shows up. Additionally I looked into the rating that Trash Away has with the Better Business Bureau. They have an F rating. They have no problem taking your money, but earning it, thats another story.

Been using Trash Away for a few years now. No problems what so ever! Always return phone calls. My bill is always the same amount not like my last trash collector! Keep up the great job!

Garbage. One job. Do it better. They will without fail not show up at least 1 week a month. Not to mention you cant really get in solid contact with them via the website ever. They ignore emails and dont return phone calls. The only time you hear from them is when they want to get paid . They make it really easy to pay them for services never received.

Would not recommend, I am lucky to get a pick up once a month. Do not return calls. Going to a new service when my contract runs out at the end of the month.

Horrible customer service. Dont return emails or calls. Many weeks of calling to see if they are going to come and take the trash. One star is way too generous!

Scam. Five star reviews are fake. They dont pick up your trash, often dont even have a real truck, pick up trucks, rentals, uhauls, etc. Complete scam. Fake addresses.

They often dont show up, when they do it is sometimes in a U Haul rental truck. They toss the tote and recycle bins on the sidewalk, the driveway....very disrespectful! My daughter and I watched the guy not only throw the recycle bins this morning, but intentionally knock over the tote! After two years of this, time to switch.

We switched to Trash Away a little over a year ago and couldnt be happier.They are friendly and efficient and I recommend them to all my family and friends.I have never had a problem with their service. Their rates are very competitive to thealternatives around.

First garbage company in the brand new house. Lasted 5 months. They showed up on time the first day. The next week? 4pm. Sometimes Id come home and Id have to pick my garbage off the lawn for them to pick it up at 5pm while I ate dinner. One time some random pickup truck grabbed my garbage and later i see the garbage truck on a side road staged while they throw garbage in it from pickup trucks. In the 5 months I had them, they were late into the next day at least 6 solid times. Halloween night they never showed, after I rolled my garbage in I called their number which had an automated message notifying if they didnt get to your house they WILL show first thing tomorrow. Next day same thing, roll it out. Except this time they never showed again, and all my garbage was all over the lawn. I called WM and signed up right away. They next day they left the can at my front door, service is every Monday at 7:30am on the dot. Do yourself a favor...I read all these reviews and still wanted to give them a chance. What an unbelievable mistake. I let my 3 month plan run out to the end of the month. What was the point? They werent going to show up anyway.

They deserve 0 out of 5 stars, no wait, they owe me a couple stars. Gave them our money, no pick up, no tote drop off, dont answer their phones, when they do its promise this and promise that. Im a new customer and they have me waiting for 8 days now from when they said they would pick up. Terrible business practices. STAY AWAY!!!!

I have been with this company since they first started. They have been excellent in all ways. They are very good about returning calls is you need to speak with them.

When we first started with Trash Away a few years ago we loved them! Now they dont pick up our trash (our bill is paid). No warning they wont be there...every day they say they will be there the next morning (when they happen to answer the phone) and they continue not to show up. I have gotten violations from the city because they dont pick up the trash in a timely manner. So now we have to take our trash to a local trash transfer station and pay for that...although we already paid for our service with Trash Away. Done with this company!

04/09/19 UPDATE: I went ahead and posted a picture of my trashcans BECAUSE YALL CLEARLY FORGOT WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE! But what do you expect? Cheaper prices= cheaper services! What word best describes this company? GARBAGE! Cant ever pick up on tine... always delays and they never stick to their words about removing extra trash......

This is sad! We called to get service because am disabled and my husband hurt his arm and couldn’t lift. We paid in advance for 3 months of service and only received 3 weeks worth. Then you have the nerve to send a past due bill! Are you kidding me! Thank God his arm is better and we can use the dump again. I called the better business bureau. I don’t think you deserve the one star I had to give!

I have been very happy with my service from Trashaway. They always leave a message if they are unable pick-up for whatever reason. I understand that things happen on occasion especially when a new business is getting started.

Have never had an issue with them and have been using them for the past 5 years. If there is an issue they are prompt to let you know and reschedule a pick up. Only service that would help me with some extra trash and took care of it for me the same day I asked!

I have mixed feelings about this company. While they have picked up whatever I leave curbside without any hassle, the office part of their job leaves a lot to be desired. When I first signed up for them a year ago they told me my trash would be picked up mid morning. Mid morning to them apparently means anywhere from 8 am to 5 pm, so if I accidentally forgot to put the trash out the night before it was a gamble on if they came already or not. And on windy days, I have seen them wait until 5 pm to call and say sorry due to whatever issue we will not be picking up today ...so they wait all day while my trash is flying down the street to tell me no service for today. Now the latest issue I have is my contract was due up, and I got sent 2 bills. I figured I would pay one and they would see their error that I got double billed and just fix it. Ha, funny. I keep getting calls saying that I need to pay or my trash will be suspended. I have called twice and emailed them asking for them to call me so we can get this sorted out only to have them ignore me. I seriously hope they do not suspend my trash. Go go Batavia for cutting trash service while keeping taxes the same.

1 star is more than I would prefer to give! This so called garbage company does anything besides that. Ive had numerous days where they left garbage at my house. For some reason they believe they can pick and choose what trash bags they want to take each week.

I been with Trash Away for nine months now and have had three pickup problems. When you call no one answers or calls you back. Ive tried to give a local company the business but the overall service has a lot to be desired. I have never had any problems with the big company that services the area.

This is the best service I have ever experienced. Trash Away is a great local business and is doing great things the community. Owner was very understanding and provided a very friendly experience.

Went with Trash away to save some money over WM, in the long run it wasn’t worth the savings. They failed to empty the trash bin completely just reaching in and removing some trash bags. Eventually the bin became over half full. When I tried to get them to take all the trash they made me feel if it was my fault all my garbage wasn’t being picked up, I gave them one more opportunity to pick up all the trash in the bin and I was informed they would at the next pick up, however that was not the case. When I called to cancel the service I received a return call informing me they were coming back to get the all the trash as they said they would. I informed them I already signed up for WM and then they started to complain about another customer leaving to much trash out. Never felt so satisfied when I canceled my trash service.

Should be no stars, repeatly doesn’t pick up garbage. Changes garbage day by the month (without notification). Claims you didn’t pay when you already have.Expect to be picking up you recycling from the neighbors yard and beyond because it will be outside for days/weeks without pickup.

We went with Trash Away a little over a year ago because our former garbage company wasnt picking up our garbage on a regular basis ONLY to have it happen again with Trash Away. Within just the last few months, they have left our garbage at least 3 times, yesterday being the most recent. They sent out a message this past week that there would be NO change with the Independence holiday. I just read the reviews on them and see they do this to alot of people. I wish I had read them before I switched to this company. Now Im stuck until September as I have already paid the bill.

Trash Away has excellent service. When I had another company I was very dissatisfied with them they always left trash behind with notes. I dont have that problem with Trash Away! I have recommended trash way to my family and friends.

Have used their services for a little over 6 months. I recently discovered we were paying for recycling and not taking advantage of it. We decided to purchase a recycling bin through them three weeks ago and was told it would be delivered by the end of that week. Three weeks later, and it has not been delivered. I tried to find their physical address, but everywhere online has the wrong address. For those of you trying to speak with someone and cannot get ahold of anyone via phone or email, go to their new physical address: 121 TRUMBULL PARKWAY, BATAVIA, NY. I went there and finally managed to speak to someone who told me he would deliver it last night, and to much surprise, OF COURSE IT STILL HAS NOT BEEN DELIVERED. I will be going there again in hopes to just leave with one because this is utterly ridiculous. Would not recommend their services unless you dont think you will ever need to speak with a customer representative.

They pick up when they feel like it sometimes 3 days late. Never return your phone calls.

Owner is very helpful he always calls if they r running late . They r very nice and responsive.

They consistently do not pick up my trash. If you call you can never get anyone to return your call, you have to physically speak to someone in order for them to assure you they will pick up your trash first thing the next day. Then tomorrow comes and they still dont pick it up. Terrible customer service when you actually speak to someone.

Awful services. Constantly having issues with them picking up our trash on scheduled day. We call the office never get a phone call back. But the owner Dave thought it would be a good idea to message me on Facebook telling me how I’m terrible for posting about his company on Facebook. Super unprofessional and we’ve heard many stories of this business going under soon. I do not recommend them at all

All I wanted was some bulk picked up,called around the 15th of march to arrang never called backed,sat on my porch for a week,put out for today the 25th,by the time bulk was picked through all that was left was a twin mattress a 5yr.old could have picked up,and they left it there, now what am I supposed to do with it.

I paid over a week ago for them to remove a wood wire spool we used as a table and I called every day to ask why it was still outside and no one answered or will call me back until a week later after I left a message about leaving a bad google review on them and he said he was sorry and would personally come get it and never did! It’s still outside at the road! I paid $20 and nothing happened yet and I always pay my bill on time every 3 months and never had a problem until now! The guy said on the phone that’s it’s written down on his paper work that it was taken and that his guy told him they got it and he said he is pretty sure it’s not out there and I told him it is I’m looking at it and he said well someone is lieing to me! Are you kidding now I’m lieing! I was furious and he said he willl come get it and he is sorry! Still there at 9pm

Terrible. Like to take your trash out multiple times and not have it picked up? Then this service is for you. Very late in the day if they show up at all. Need a large pick up? Took weeks to set it up, charged my card, and I watched the guys just leave it there and drive off to never come back. Trash pick up should never be this hard.

I highly recommend Trash Away to anyone looking for a new waste management company in the Batavia, NY area. Garbage always collected on time and excellent prices as well. Never had any issues that would require a negative rating.

Worst garbage company forgot pickups many times....tons of broken glass left in front of my driveway...call multiple times left messages nothing. Paid for couch and matresses to be picked up never came...when they did answer kept making promises and excuses....eventually the city picked it up and charged me double its ridiculous...after all that they picked up the trash and left tons of recyclebles worst garbage compant ever...garbage company

Pretty happy with this company. Inexpensive and always picks up my trash with no issues. I was kinda surprised by some of the negative reviews as Ive never had an issue with them.

Trash away in Batavia NY is the best garbage collection company I have ever had. These guys are great. I have never had an issue and they have very limited restrictions for what I put out. Great service and great trash company in Batavia!

They dont take everything in the can, and decideded to throw a broken window in the garbage bin, onto our lawn instead of.. ya know in the garbage truck... they also do not recycle and just throw it in with the garbage... before this company, wouldnt have even thought of a trash company being literal trash... And then when I called to inquire.. I was told to talk to them, i just answer the phone... umm obviously people are going to call the company for issues, and you let the workers know.. who let Tweedle Dee and Tweedle dumb run a garbage service

Multiple times they failed to pick up our garbage. Called to cancel services and get a refund. They refuse to give a refund and now not returning phone calls. Will not recommend doing business with them.

I have finally had enough!Forget the fact on several occasions that my garbage has not been picked up 24 hours late and on two occasions 48 late,I paid my bill on time in December I get a bill on January 9 no explanation just a bill.So I call no answer,I leave a message stating there must be a mistake I give them the check number and date with my phone number and message to call me,NO CALL BACK!Next day garbage day,NO PICK up.I call again no one around again,will head to the bank to get print out check and statement.I guess it doesnt matter that I always pay on time (but yet its apparently all right for them to be 24-48 hours late for pickup.Customer service and apparently bookkeeping are shoddy!Will be getting quotes from a new company today,I DO NOT RECOMMEND! !

This is the WORST company in Genesee County. TERRIBLE customer service and the front office and accounting system is awful. They cash our check, but still send us reminders saying our bill is delinquent and we will not have pick-up. This happens every 3 months, and I have to call and send them a copy of the check they cashed and my bank statement. They are AWFUL and unapologetic.

I have never had any problems with trash away. Shocked by the negative ratings posted they are always on time and have had great customer service.

Ive experienced the worst customer service and customer service history they have messed up several times on several occasions I still gave them chance after chance to make it right and they still messed up you make your payment you ask for specific pickup they say OK and still nothing you will pay into this company for no reason and then they just went up on their prices like theyre that good when theyre really not they should be giving Services away for literally a long time to make up for the customer service and the Bad Business ship that they give out my recommendation is for you to run completely the other way or do what I did go to waste management theyre twenty-five bucks a month and completely worth it this company you will have literally problems with save yourself some trouble go to opposite way
