A great place for a fade thats right on point and very kid friendly, I brought my 6 year old son there for his first professional fade and he was treated awesome and it was a great experience to share together.

I went for a haircut and my hair turned out awful. My hair looks nothing like my hair did in the photos I showed the barber. I showed him how my last haircut turned out and this mess looks nothing like it. This place doesn’t even deserve the one star. Kinda cringe not gonna lie.

Got a haircut here for the first time, reasonably priced cuts, and a complimentary neck shave and hot towel to boot. Very kind staff, and worked well around masks. Will definitely go there again!

I’ve been here for a haircut about 5 times over the past few years. Usually the haircut I receive is a pretty standard barber cut. I haven’t had any complaints before today.Unfortunately, I’m very unhappy with the haircut and service I received when I went to get my hair trimmed before Drill. I asked for a low fade and to only take about an inch to an inch and a half off the top. The lady cutting my hair asked if I wanted an undercut, to which I replied no, a low fade, keep the sides longer, and blend the top. What I received was a strange, angular undercut that in no way resembles my request.I have fine hair that needs to be left longer on the top or it sticks up quite aggressively. I have two whorls in the back which, if cut short, will not lay down at all. One of my whorls was cut down from being about three inc he’s long to maybe a half-inch. It appears as if I’m balding, which I am not. This is ridiculous.The barber cut with clippers almost to the top of my head, which is absolutely not a low fade. When I made the comment that it was not what I asked for and explained that this was not a low fade, the barber replied “I know what a low fade is”. Clearly not. I’ve attached the photo of my haircut from multiple angles as well as the first result for low fade from Google. My haircut is NOT a low fade. Keep in mind this is without product, so I can make it look at passable, but it is still embarrassing. I am disappointed in the result and the service I received and will probably not return to this shop in the future.

Ever been on a bad first date? That’s how I’d describe this experience. First impression is everything. I walked in and waited for someone to acknowledge me. No one did. Finally I said, “ so who’s going to cut my hair?” in a chipper voice. As three employee lounged around. (Literally the only customer at the time) After a few seconds of awkward silence, someone volunteered. Haircut took 10 minutes and very little detail was given to my hair. I showed a picture of what I wanted and received a rushed and sloppy version. People usually complement my hair cut at work (professional setting) and today was the first time negative attention was given. Uneven, not blended properly and most noticeable a Knick in the back of my head that wasn’t brought to my attention by the dresser.. just all my coworkers. No passion, just a paycheck.

Great place, took me years to find the right barbershop. I request Broc every time I get my fade. Always spot on, takes his time, doesn’t make you feel rushed. Highly recommended!

Fantastic place to get a haircut. Ive been going here for a few years and never once have I had a bad haircut. Ive had multiple different people cut my hair and it always comes out great, unlike other places in the area. Even at their busy times you usually dont have to wait long because they are sufficiently staffed.

I brought my 6 year old son in on Sunday as I butchered his hair while trying to do it myself. They got him right in and fixed it and it looked AMAZING! Will definitely be bringing him here from now on!! Thank you!!

Great hours, open 7 days a week. Everybody here is friendly. Ive been using the same barber for probably 15 years. He joined this shop about 7 years ago and its so much more convenient.

Ive been going to the Cornerstone for years. There has been some turnover in staff but there are some old timers. They all do a great job. Prices are about average, wait times are reasonable. Parking is on the street with one handicapped spot available. They offer a variety of haircuts as well as straight razor shaves. Great place.

Great place to go for a haircut. They are one of the few that are open at 7 am. They are not only great for me getting my haircut but they were exceptional with my 3 year old son.

Asked for a beard trim. Showed her what length I wanted to grow to and where I wanted it cleaned up. She plowed the trimmers through it leaving me with a weird combination of length and a bizarre shape with no jaw. I should have checked from the side before I left, because this is not what I wanted.

Barely even deserves one star.If you’re looking to get a botched haircut, this is your place to go. The staff is absolutely rude and the haircuts are awful. You barely get a friendly greeting when you walk in. You can sit outside the shop and watch the people walk out, and see for yourself that customers are visibly never 100% happy with their service. If you’re looking for a military fade, bald fade, or just a simple blended cut, don’t even step through the door.To save you the experience. I went next door to The Hair Affair Barber shop. Very wary of what I walking into, The staff was great! They really care about the detail with their hair cuts. It’s a great environment and you get treated like an actual human being.

I walked in off the street one morning after traveling from Ohio to Bangor for a wedding. I had run short of time prior to the trip and so hadnt had a chance to visit my regular barber back home and I was looking pretty scruffy. Dale gave me an awesome haircut and beard trim--probably the best ever--besides carrying on a friendly conversation that made me feel welcome as an out-of-town visitor. If I lived in the Bangor area, believe me, Id definitely be a regular customer at the Cornerstone Barber Shop!

Walked in, saw two barbers in their chairs doing nothing, zero other customers in the place. They said I needed an appointment and could take me until later that day. Large print on the window says Walk-ins Welcome.

Just had probably the worst haircut that I can recall. I asked the barber for a classic undercut , long on top and walked out looking like Kim Jong Un. No taper, no fade.Even after I told the gentleman to use his professional discretion with regards to the details (fading, etc..) he gave me what can only be described as a bowl cut. My past experiences and the consistency of service (hot towel and aftershave was not offered) at this establishment have always been hit or miss, but nothing at this level.I will not likely return after this trip. I paid $18+ tip ( guess tipping is just habit) just to come home and have my wife shave my head. She hates shaved heads yet agreed it was an improvement if that says anything.

I have taken my son here twice to have his hair cut. After the first time, he refuses to go anywhere else. Everyone that works there is absolutely amazing and they are all so good to him!! My son has special needs and a haircut for him isnt as easy as it is for other kids his age. They take their time, explain everything, answer all his questions and just in general cater to his needs. Dale hasnt cut his hair either time but he jokes around with him and they go back and forth the entire time. I highly recommend this place, especislly for kids. I cant thank you guys enough for making the experience a great one!!!

The elderly gentleman that cut my hair there couldn’t hear and honestly don’t know if he could see either. I gave him specific instructions on what was wanted and what was not wanted. He did exactly what was not wanted and his face was very close to my face the entire time breathing heavily on me. It was the worst and most uncomfortable haircut I’ve ever received. I can’t speak for the other barbers there, but I definitely don’t recommend the one I used.

Very poor skills fading there was almost no fade at all after i asked for a fade the barbor was doing well until they said the clippers were too sharp changed to different ones horrible false after that right side is good but left side bowl cut appearance

Cornerstone Barber Shop has everything you could want in a barber - skilled barbers, fast service, and friendly staff. I highly recommend them.

Never going here again. I asked for a fade on the sides and back, and expressly said the length on top is fine; please just use the scissors to clean up any uneven ends. (My hair is already pretty short as it is, mind you.) Within 5 minutes, the clippers are attacking the top of my head before I can even utter a word. I made the now-apparent terrible decision to let the barber try and at least even things out on top.Then, after I get home and shower, it becomes very apparent that the hair on the top front is a good 1/2 shorter than the hair on the top back right, while the top back left is 1/4 shorter than the hair on the top back right. That is just flat out unacceptable. I paid $18 to have my hair butchered before going to a wedding this weekend. I will be going elsewhere next time I get a haircut in town.

My hair was cut quickly and the service was very friendly, the place was clean and I got a great haircut. I opted for the neck shave as well (which I recommend) and to my surprise the barber used a straight razor very well.

Asked for a trim. He cut off a half inch around the bottom. He claimed to shave my neck but didnt even come close to getting it all. Literally took 7 minutes and cost me 17$. Not acceptable.
